    Aguachile de Cameron.

It's wonderful to finally have an option for authentic Mexican cuisine in the Farmington area. Sure, they have some typical American fare, such as wings and burgers, but you'd be well-advised to focus on the exceptional authentic Mexican fare. The Aguachile de Cameron has a refreshing cucumber, lime, and serrano sauce. The five-taco assortment should not be missed- you get five authentic tacos, including carnitas, pastor, asada, suadero, and chorizo, prepared classically and with lots of crispy bits. We also had an outstanding chimichanga plate. The frijoles are some of the best we've ever had, with a silky consistency and topped with cotija. There's no website and no takeout menus yet, but don't overlook this hidden gem.

Stopped by today. Was hoping to have a margarita but they're waiting on their liquor license..we both ordered chicken fajitas which were excellent but even better than the food was our server...I don't think she told us her name but she's from Waterbury and was one of the BEST and nicest people in the restaurant industry that I have EVER come across (and I've been around a lot of years!) Can't say enough good things about her. Friendly, attentive and just all around a pleasure! We'll be back again for sure...and even if the food wasn't as good as it was, I'd probably still come back just to visit her!!

Very good Mexican place. Salsa and guacamole are freshly made. People are super nice and helpful. Kids love the slushy.

BBQ brisket nachos were amazing!!! You pick 5 tacos were clean, loved the variety, and they were incredibly filling. Service was exceptional and the margaritas were strong :) Cannot wait to return and try the other menu items.

We always wondered what was this restaurant in our town called Don Bigote. Well, we finally tried it last month and I must say, why did it take us so long??? We were so pleased with our choice. It wasn't crowded so we were seated right away. We were served warmed chips with salsa, while the waitress grabbed our drinks and we checked out the menu. The chips were crispy, not greasy tasting. For our meals we had chicken chimichanga's and Mole Poblano. Delicious! All of it! The owner made his way around to the tables to say hello, very friendly and even stopped to explain the meaning of Don Bigote, means Mr. Mustache. We had no idea! We really enjoyed our dinner and would encourage a try if you are looking for a tasty Mexican meal.

I honestly am so lazy and never feel the need to review, but oh my goodness I adored this restaurant! Not only was my food absolutely delicious, but the manager, his name was Agustin, is the nicest man I've ever met at a restaurant! He really made the experience absolutely wonderful. So so friendly!! Food wise, Mexican (authentic) is my favorite cuisine and I've been to so many restaurants I can't count. This was so memorable. I got the Poblanos Rellenos and holy cow if I weren't in public I would've licked my plate clean. I enjoy spice and got some heat in the peppers, the stuffing inside was delicious with perfectly juicy shrimp. The house margaritas were also delicious! Not a bad thing at all to say, if you can go here definitely do!! I will 100% be back here. So glad to have stopped in tonight.

I opted to order a couple tacos to-go and try their chicken and mole tamale on special. Wow!! The proteins were cooked perfectly with flavor - so all the taco needed was cilantro and onion - like they are supposed to be done. The tamale was probably the best I have ever had. Using a black mole inside the tamale the chicken was moist and tender. My favorite value was the salsa bar - at no additional cost you can choose from about 6 different salsas, from a variety of spicy levels and flavors. Also included is Jalepano, radishes and some other small things. A great idea that adds true value to the customer. Overall this is a taqueria that I will drive to!!! When I am in the mood for tacos I am here. I should also mention they do have a full Mexican menu with entrees and such. So many items to try to keep you coming back.

Sparse decoration and the kitchen takes up a majority of the tiny space. There are tables, but it's very much a To-go place. We ordered some tamales, some tacos and some chips. Went to the salsa bar and got a bunch of sauces to try. Drove to a parking lot to take pics and dig in. The tacos were a little overcooked and under seasoned. They tasted good and were dressed simply. They all needed salsa to really shine. The chorizo was the best bite. Just enough spice and seasoning to stand well on its own. The weakest being the ground beef, which was dry and not seasoned beef. The tamale was good, cooked in a banana leaf, good masa and the mole filling was hot and sweet which chicken used as the protein. A well balanced bite. The chips and salsa were basic but plentiful. Price was reasonable given the quality. It's not a date night Mexican place. It's a place for regular folk to get decent Mexican fare at decent prices, good portions, and basic but executed well tacos. It's great for those who are around the area, but not a space I would try to hunt down

Steve was really nice when he took my order & chatted it up while I waited for my food. Inside was pretty small w/ a couple of chairs if you wanted to dine in but it was pretty hot in there. There was a couple of decorations & on their wall was food awards including 1 from Yelp. The food overall was solid. The quesadilla was flavorful and pretty tasty, but I do wish it had more shrimp. I even paid for extra shrimp & there still wasn't enough. It was more cheesy than anything. The rice was good & the beans had shredded, melted cheese on top which I love. The flan, however, wasn't good for me. It didn't really hit & was kind of disappointing. It lacked flavor & its consistency was off. I really liked their salsa verde sauce (it had gr8 flavor & a nice kick). The only downside was that everything came separate & nothing came w/ the order(no chips or extras)so it felt a little basic compared to other spots. All in all, it's a solid takeout spot w/ good food, but portions & a few items could be improved.

Steve was friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. I ordered the chicken tacos, but I didn't realize they were made tinga style. If I had known, I definitely would have gone with the birria tacos instead...I still regret not ordering those! The restaurant was smaller than I expected, and it was a little too warm inside for my liking, so we ended up taking our food to the car to eat instead. the tamarindo drink was crisp and refreshing. For dessert, I tried the flan. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it had more of a gelatin like texture. I personally prefer a creamier, custard style flan, and this one reminded me more of a boxed mix. The fresh flavors, generous portions, and Steve's excellent customer service made it a place I'd be happy to return to...next time, I'm definitely trying the birria tacos.

Honestly, after reading the reviews, I wasn't too confident I would even be able to eke on in for dinner, but my God was I able to get in, and thank the LORD I was able to find a parking spot with such a full lot of cars! What started as a solo trip to J Timothy's became a welcome table event when fellow Yelper Angie showed up with her husband and invited me over to their table. I'm SO glad we were able to have that happen! It became one of the best post-event dinners I've had yet. It did take a bit of time to decide between the three of us, but we eventually split our checks, with me taking care of my order and Angie taking care of the rest. We had Kate as a waitress, and might I say, she was not only nice and efficient, but she was very knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful and accommodating. I immediately requested a take-out box and she delivered just like that. She was even knowledgeable on what foods and such were made in-house and what wasn't, which is honestly very impressive! Also note, we all got to have a taste of everything that came in tonight, so we got lots of food to get to! We did have the wings for our appetizers. I did the 10-wing Dirt Style Honey BBQ Gold for mine, and they got I wanna say 20(?) Buffalo wings. They were cooked to perfection, and I was able to twist the bones off the flats. Both flavors were good, but even though it could possibly be my bias talking, I did prefer my flavor of wings. I will say the Buffalo had that signature spice level there, but it didn't overpower the wing, which is awesome! Oh, and there were also the potato skins which was rated perfectly, and that tasted really good as well. For the entrees, this is why I immediately requested the box. My order was the full rack of ribs. Angie got the chicken pot pie. Usually, I don't eat pot pies, but the one Angie ordered was honestly very good. Flaky, buttery crust top, and savory filling or chicken, potatoes, peas, etc. As for my ribs, whenever I tried to cut them, all the meat kept falling off the bone! That's how you know it was cooked properly! And dear God were these ribs were delicious, succulent, and delicious! Did I mention they were delicious? The BBQ sauce was a symphony of bliss that helped make each bite of rib taste like I went to Cloud Nine! The coleslaw it came with was good, but it's not something I would say can compete with the South. But good all the same. Drinks were great too. I got the Dragon Fruit Martini(?), and that was sweet and relaxing to have after a long summer and a long drive to Plainville. Oh, and we also got dessert! Again we picked different things: Angie ordered the "Not Fried Chicken" while I went with the Key Lime Pie. Wherever these guys get their key lime pie from, keep them coming and let me know so I can get some more myself! The raspberry sauce was a great choice for accompaniment and complimented the pie nicely. And the slice was divine! The Not Fried Chicken is a very innovative idea, and it tasted good as well. I can see now why this place gets so much love. It's insane how good this place is in just about every aspect! The sink did take a bit to learn, but that was about my only criticism, other than that this place easily gets 5 stars from me, and I am so glad to have had this dinner with Angie and meet her husband. #KeepYelping

The Gold BBQ wings were my favorite--crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. They had the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy without being overpowering. The Buffalo wings were excellent too, with a classic sauce that had just the right amount of heat and a great buttery finish. The wings came out crispy even after being sauced, which is harder to do than most places make it look. Service was friendly, the atmosphere felt like a classic neighborhood tavern, and you can tell they've been doing this for a long time. If you're anywhere near Plainville and like wings, this place is definitely worth the stop. I'll be thinking about those Gold BBQ wings for a while.
