Worst Chipotle I've ever been to. Don't order online/through the app because they don't tell you when they run out of ingredients and you end up paying full price for your order when half of the ingredients are missing when you pick it up. Also just really slow service. Line moves slow and somehow waiting for to go orders take longer. To top it all off, they snub you on portions and give you the smallest scoops of each ingredient. There's 5 employees here. 1 is working "slowly", and the other 4 are hanging out in the back. Not to mention the girl on the register has gone to the bathroom to fix her hair twice since we have been in line. This is one of the world chipotles I have ever seen. read more

We came here while traveling thru NY. It's hard to get to if you are driving, but a little patience earned me a parking spot right next to the place. The line was very long, but they did a good job of getting us through. The food tasted fresh an hot. We had no complaints about the service or the meal. The tables get messy and it's hard to clean them with a napkin... but it's still a good place to get some grub. read more

I lived in Denver for four years and grew to love Chipotle as a result (the birthplace of Chipotle). I often crave it when I watch YouTube because YouTubers are always Postmating Chipotle for some reason. I got a chicken burrito with every topping option and ordered it through DoorDash. The bag it came in smelled like cigarettes but I think that's no fault of Chipotle's and all the fault of the driver. My chicken burrito foil was ripped and exposed my burrito as well. Since I just went to the ED and got morphine for some serious food poisoning or stomach flu just days before this (from Taco Bell), I got a little nervous. The burrito tasted great but didn't have as many topping options to choose from online as I recall them having in the store. This location is convenient for students but isn't great if you're driving. The area is always crowded and parking is hard to find. Online they listed rice as white rather than cilantro lime so I don't know what type of rice I actually ate. read more

All I can say is this is an extremely busy Chipotle. Located next to Syracuse University, the restaurant is always packed with students and faculty. However, even with the crowds the staff is extremely efficient at getting customers through the line. It's you're typical chain restaurant food, but the service is A+. read more

Came here for a quick bite on a longggg road trip. Located next Syracuse University, perfect for college students! Talk about massive burritos! Anytime I am on the mainland, chipotle never disappoints to fill me up. I typically get the chicken wrap with the works! I typically include: -black beans rather than pinto beans (an attempt to be healthier) -tomato salsa -corn salsa -light on the rice -lettuce (make it green!) I'm never shy in asking them to pile it up! They alway impress me by somehow getting everything I ask for into one massive wrap. This restaurant is absolutely the worst for delivery drivers. Every time I have been to this restaurant there's at least 5 drivers waiting no social distancing the restaurant is packed some customers have no masks on. I feel if this restaurant cannot handle the volume they should turn their tablet off delivery drivers wait at least a 1/2 an hour or more for orders while customers are calling to find out where is their food. With the pandemic going on I feel this place is very dangerous to order from or to be in as everybody is in close proximity to each other and it can spread. somebody should call the health department. read more

Best chipotle I have ever been to. Best fast casual restaurant period. This place is spotless...clean as a whistle, and it must be hard to stay that way since hundreds of college kids come strolling thru the door all day. It's practically on the Syracuse university campus it's always extremely busy. A line to the door is nothing new here, but the service is so fast/efficient. It's worth the wait...which isn't even a wait in my book. 25 people were ahead of me and I had my burrito rolled in less than 7 minutes. I highly doubt Mcdonalds speedy service could even come close. The staff is trained extremely well, fast, friendly, and knowledgable about the company and the food. Props to the manager! They also serve alcohol here! Grab a fat burrito and get a nice patron margaritaaaaah! The food is restaurant quality and the drink is bar quality. This is a flagship chipotle in my book. read more

I am usually a huge Chipotle fan, but this location isn't it. I ordered a burrito bowl today and was taken aback by how small the portion size of rice, beans and protein were. I was given barely enough rice to cover the bottom of the bowl and only what seemed like a half scoop of beans. The majority of my bowl is salsa. I've never had an experience like this at Chipotle before, but I would hesitate before coming back to this location. read more

You are waiting about 20 mins just for your meal, they all seem unorganized and understaffed but really it's 11 employees I see working right now and I've been here for 20 mins STILL waiting and the line isn't even that busy. Biggest issue is that the line really backs up in the establishment, but it goes by in about 10-15 minutes. Food is really good if you enjoy Mexican food and holds up with any Chipotle Mexican Grill that you have been to in the past. I go here all the time as a student at SU. I came in yesterday and was very happy to see there was no line, but I was not happy with the customer service or employee who took my order. She was extremely rude, did not greet me, made no eye contact, talked under her breath and I could barely hear her. There was very little sour cream left and she scraped the littlest amount onto my bowl and when I asked for more she rolled her eyes. I then asked for chips and guacamole on the side and she proceeded to put guacamole on my bowl and I repeated I only want it on the side. Again rolling her eyes, she scraped off the guacamole taking off a good amount of my toppings and not replacing them. I ended up with a bowl with light toppings. I love this chipotle and will come again, but please talk to you employees about customer service! (And proportions) read more

Don't get me wrong I still love eating here, but I don't think I'll be ordering delivery anymore. Twice now they've messed up my order (yesterday they gave me another person's order). The other time they ran out of two of the items I had requested and had to get compensated. It's also dangerous to order delivery because it's 50/50 if you'll get an EXTREMELY frugal worker, or a decent human being that's generous on the portions. I'm still waiting on my refund from yesterday's mishap. TLDR food quality here is fine, service is usually nice, avoid delivery like the plague. read more

Beloved Chipotle. Fast food that doesn't entirely feel like it. If it were to close down I'm sure there would be riots across the campus. The best part about Chipotle on a college campus is that there are students there who get it. They know the secret menu, the little tricks to get the most out of your budgeted dining experience. Being from NYC, I also never noticed that the food was cheaper there as well, so that's nifty too! Beware, though. During dinner time the wait can get out the door so it'd be a smart move to order online or go in during off-peak hours. read more

Well, it's just like every other Chipoltle, which isn't to say it is bad. The food quality is very high, and I leave satisfied when I come here... it's just that Chipoltle as a franchise provides so few options for its customers that you go there knowing you'll only have one option (though, admittedly, it's a pretty tasty one). I get chicken with black beans, corn, tomatoes, sour cream, lettuce and guacamole. Yes, the guac is extra money, but it's of excellent quality and I prefer it to competitors such as Moes, though probably not to Alto Cinco's guac a few minutes away. Great location in Marshall Square. Close to SU campus and to the Dome if you're there to catch a game. It can get busy in here, so be prepared for what can sometimes be a long wait. The interior looks nice, though, and they have tables with stools that are great for casual, quick dining. read more

I place an order online. And choose to pick up at 11:00. When I arrive the store, I didn't see my order. And I try to ask where is my order, the cashier said my order is coming without ask my name, and what is my order. After 15mins they didnt begin making my order at all. After I require for an refund they ask whats my name, and whats my order. The staff also was not friendly at all. I feel they hate their jobs either. This is my second time have similar experience. I am something of a Chipotle fanatic. I've gone to dozens of Chipotle restaurants, do reports and analyses on Chipotle in school, and even worked for Chipotle one summer. So it really disappoints me that this Chipotle doesn't live up to Steve Ells' standards. Location: Great location situated in the middle of Marshall Street, just a short 5-minute walk from the Syracuse University campus. Decor: Chic, modern, if not stark decor punctuated by standard Spanish music (the company plays the same music in all their stores) Food: Chicken is slightly under-marinated, portions are small. Service: I understand that this Chipotle is unlike others because it deals with rushes of students who eat there between classes, but the lines in there are appalling. It frequently stretches to the door. What ticks me off though, is that management doesn't hire more people to compensate for these lines. In a busy Chipotle line, a maximum of 4 people can be on the "line". I haven't seen them with more than 3, ever. Here's the thing that really ticks me off: unlike other chipotles, you're only allowed one serving of salsa. For some it might not matter, but I like my tomato salsa and my corn salsa together. I have never run into this problem at any other Chipotle. I've even worked at one and none of my managers have told me about this "rule" Service is what's really lacking here. This Chipotle used to stand for something. Big portions, depressed students working off college debt, and the longest lines on Marshall Street. I think I have close to absolute authority to talk about this place, moreso than anywhere else, probably even more than my mom's dinnertable because I do eat here every other day. Really, I legitamately have a sit down lunch or dinner at chipotle every other day like it's clockwork. I crave it. My stomach prepares itself all morning for the overload of spice and steak. Hell, if they were open earlier, and I was a morning person, I'd come here for breakfast too. This is why it hurts so much to have to trash this place, but ever since I touched foot on campus this year, the overall quality of the Chipotle dining "experience," has plummeted. The newbie burrito hacks skimp on the meat, as the new manager standing behind them, nods approvingly I hate that man. Nothing is worse than someone who comes in and ruins a good thing. There's a special place for those kinds of people, you goateed scumbag. The time of the little Mexican Haven on Marshall Street in the middle of Central New York died with a whimper, while I was on summer vacation. I have to agree with Joshua L. This place is the pits. I've enjoyed Chipotle everywhere else but the Marshall Street location in Syracuse. The Burritos elsewhere are generous in size and quality of content. This location turns out a burrito that is hardly larger than my fist. They are doing the parent company a dis-service being allowed to turn out food that is this low in quality and content. I guess you can get away with serving this kind of trash on a college campus. Other Chipotle locations would go out of business quickly if they turned out food this poor. This location has soured me so much I no longer patronize Chipotle at all. Shame.... read more

I don't normally review chain restaurants but when you find one that does an exceptional job, I think, a pat on the back is in order. For what it does, it does well! As a vegan, I'm thankful to Chipotle. No matter where you find one, you find fresh GMO-FREE ingredients, Two types of house cooked beans, onions and peppers cooked separately from the meat, flavorful salsas and loads of yummy guacamole. ( which IS included in the 6.80 price for the veggie bowls, salads, and wraps) A GREAT value for your money, and the portion is always large enough, that I can barely finish it. Kudos to you Chipotle for being an example to all the other chains out there! read more

Let me first say I met a couple cool employees over the course of a few visits here. Two. I don't see how some other folks on this page are so enamored with this particular Chipotle though - it's one of the least satisfying I've been to. There's a few servers here who almost make a sport of giving the smallest portion sizes they can. You can smile, negotiate, plead for a full spoonful - and they almost revel in giving you less than what the corporation requires. In addition to the recent Chipotle price increases (4%!), you gotta deal with NY taxes on top of that. Hey gang, go to a Chipotle in Nevada, and a $6.85 burrito costs exactly that, no tax on top of it.
