We've had such different experiences at this location - some good, some bad. We received a gift card for Chipotle, so we gave it another shot. Today's experience was very good! The food was fresh, the portions were good, the employees were very friendly. Restaurant was clean. Please note - we did arrive around 11 am, so they had just opened. The staff was friendly but the restaurant was dirty! There was food all over the floor. Most of the tables were dirty. The trash cans were full to overflowing. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience from last night. I stopped by this Chipotle Mexican Grill location after a long 12-hour workday, looking forward to a good meal. Unfortunately, the burrito I ordered was not prepared properly. Several of the ingredients clearly weren't strained, which caused a large amount of excess liquid to build up before it was wrapped. When they wrapped the burrito, so much liquid came out that the foil became completely soaked. I politely asked if it could be wrapped in fresh foil, but I was told, "you got a lot of food," and it was wrapped as-is. By the time I got home, the burrito had become so wet that it completely fell apart and was very difficult to eat. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, but this was disappointing--especially after a long day. I've had good experiences at Chipotle before, so I'm hoping this was just an off night. It would be great to see more attention to properly draining ingredients and ensuring the food is wrapped well so other customers don't have the same issue. It seems though as of late people had a lot of poor experiences here. Which really is a shame, this used to be one of my favorite places to eat after a long day. read more

The Wake Forest is famous for poor food quality and skimping on protein and giving soggy/wilted veggies. I have NEVER been to a Chipotle that looked or felt like this! NEVER! We stopped here at 7:25 on a Saturday for dinner, and we could see how filty the restaurant was before we even walked in. Worst Chipotle we've ever had. Brown guacamole, meat, beans and rice barely warm. And they don't care. Replying to Chipotle comment, I went to the Chipotle website and sent a complaint. They did not respond. I did go get my money back at the store, and the manager explained to me that guacamole turns brown in 1 or 2 hours , nope, because it would be brown everywhere if that was true. It does turn brown left in the refrigerator overnight. And it's not safe to serve meat and other food that is barely warm. I've never been served brown guacamole or Luke warm food at any other Chipotle locations. read more

However after my friend who was in line in front of me paid and left, I overheard one staff member make an extremely inappropriate and sexual comment about her body. I'm not sure how to even report this to their corporate office since he wasn't wearing a name tag, but he was an older middle aged man helping the cashier. I am extremely disgusted and appalled, this is quite frankly the worst experience I've ever had at a chipotle because of this specific employee. The bad: slow lines The ugly: Meat portion, if you want the flavor of meat when eating a burrito, you'll need to double meat ($3.80-$5.05 extra) otherwise it's only mouthfuls of beans and rice. This restaurant was very dirty. There were a lot of employees talking to each other and standing around. Meanwhile, the tables were dirty from former customers. Nothing was being done to clean the tables or wipe up the floor that also had bits of food and whatever. Most of the employees were high school age. Where was the manager? No wonder Chipotle gets shut down for health reasons! We like the food but now question the cleanliness on how it is prepared. If the condition of the floors and tables and apathy of the employees are any indication I will not be eating at this location. We left without ordering. So sad read more

I don't understand why the stars are as low as they are but I'm not surprised it's not over 3 stars, either. I think this location is a solid three stars. The cashier was friendly and calm unlike his coworkers who were rather off putting and unfriendly. It definitely felt like they wanted all the customers in and out without the friendly service. The man in front of me got an eye roll from an employee and he was so kind, sure, he wasn't loud but he didn't deserve any harsh treatment. It was definitely a feeling of not feeling welcomed here. I will say that the food was at a good temperature and the helpings were huge. The cashier overflowed the guacamole to the point where the lid couldn't close all the way but honestly, I'm not complaining because that stuff is expensive for almost 3 bucks. He could have done it Five Guys style and dropped scoops into the bag for all I care haha. The counter was super messy and they weren't cleaning up as they were going which was kinda nasty. I never write reviews for places, as someone who works in customer service I understand the difficulties. But the way I was treated by the manager was disgusting. I went in the other day and waited a while to get my food. As I am waiting, I see a middle-aged man with a beard talking to other employees, and I was appalled by what I was hearing. He was gossiping to one employee about other workers. I even overheard him say that a woman eating in the restaurant was "hot" and that "she had a nice ass." When I finally got to the cash register I had issues with my gift card and had to speak to the manager, which happened to be him. He was extremely condescending towards me and was very unhelpful. My final straw was when I was talking and he rolled his eyes and told me there was nothing he could do. I ended up just paying with my card so I could get out. This man is not at all qualified to be a manager. He was extremely inappropriate and made me uncomfortable, I will not be returning. And make matters worse my food wasn't even good. I'm writing this review about my poor experience tonight. I would like to say first and foremost that I do not blame the workers on the line, but I can tell that they are being trained to rush, thus having messed up on both my bowl and my partner's bowl. The veggies had been mixed into the brisket; my partner hates peppers and the taste of them. There is not supposed to be peppers in the brisket at all. I attempted to deescalate by taking the employee's offer to pick them out. They then grabbed my bowl, which had to be remade because they did not hear I wanted pinto beans and put black beans, and poured hot salsa on it instead of my partner's bowl. I accepted it because I am able to handle spice, but this was the third time they had messed up and I did not want the workers to get into trouble by a manager. I have worked food service in major cities; I understand how stressful a rush can be. However, this level of service cannot be accepted by most people. I ask that anyone in a management position who happens to read my review take this into account about their employees' well being. My partner was furious about the service, and we felt incredibly rushed throughout the whole process, so our mood has been soured tonight, regardless if our food was remade or not. read more

I went here this afternoon and got a chicken bowl and a carnitas bowl. They charged me for a STEAK bowl and a carnitas bowl instead of the chicken bowl. $23 later here we are. We've visited several times and every time it seems dirty... - unorganized - dirty tables - sometimes has a weird smell - trash cans always full - they need a bathroom reminder to check those because often times they are messy as well Other than those items the staff is friendly and apologetic for any mishaps. If you order double meat through the app you will never get double meat. When I've ordered in store I've stood there in line and asked for double meat and watched them add a small portion of meat, then add the smallest sprinkle when I asked for double. Double means double. Thats twice as much. If you go to this chipotle you will pay for food you do not receive. It's the only thing guaranteed. Stopped here on Sunday. We didn't really notice until we ordered and were committed to stay. The place was a mess. Trash overflowing and didn't get emptied while we were there. The food service area was also a mess. They rushed us through the line and put way too much sour cream on my order! I watched a woman ask to have a table cleaned (I cleaned my own). I used to love this place. Had to take a break because I realized it wasn't quite as healthy as I had imagined it to be BUT still loved it. One star is one too many. We received a delivery from this Chipotle, through DoorDash that had the bag labeled correctly with our name, but someone else's order inside. Clearly DoorDash took the right bag - Chipotle put the wrong order inside the bag. We called the restaurant and a "Jonathan" who said he was a manager, and refused to give his last name to verify, refused to refund us or help make it right - he instructed us to call DoorDash, even though it was specifically HIS restaurant's fault and NOT DoorDash's. After a considerable argument, he agreed to refund the food but not any of the delivery related fees we incurred from DoorDash - what a customer service leader this guy is. Luckily DoorDash has customer service that gives a hoot about ruining somebody's dinner and helped make it right, even though they had zero fault in this. No question we will spend money elsewhere moving forward. Don't reward this Chipotle with your business, too many other options around that care about their customers. I love chipotle and I have been to several locations in our area including this one. The past few times, portions were smaller and the service sub par, but today was absolutely the worst. The place was dirty. The back bar was filthy and the two people working behind the back bar were completely clueless. There was only one person in front of us and it took them at least 10 minutes for his two orders. I thought maybe it was just a high maintenance customer but there were two of us and our two orders took them 15 minutes since they messed up the order for the guy in front of us. The line was almost out the door by the time they rang us up and it was 2 o'clock on a Thursday. The carbonated drink machine was down so that was also not an option.
