First time to Chipotle in a few years, and easily my last time back. I was in the area and decided that I would get chipotle since it was the quickest and most affordable option. The line was super short when I walked in, and it felt like I was being rushed to order the second I walked up. Turns out it's because the employee needed to serve one more person before they could clock out. I can understand the sentiment of wanting to leave work, but there should be no reason that I can feel your disdain for being behind the counter. It seems no one had a desire to listen to what anyone in line wanted. Once I got past the rice and beans distribution, there was such a hold up with protein and toppings because the employees were not listening. I figured it was a one off because it happens to the best of us , but then they didn't listen to me either LOL. What was supposed to be light cheese and sour cream turned into a soup bowl with over a cup of cold cheese sitting on top of it. I asked the woman to lighten up the cheese before she put it on the bowl and she still did it. When I asked her to remove the glob of cheese, you would've thought I told her to pack her bags and go home like Tyra Banks in season two of ANTM! another employee came to help her out, and thankfully, I was able to leave. I took my daughter here for dinner last night after her lacrosse game. The entire dining area was dirty with food on everything. There was a line of customers with one team member making food. By the time we ordered there were two. The girl making my burrito had a tired and unfriendly attitude. She only partially wrapped my burrito and could not communicate that they were out of pinto beans or offer another solution. The employee at the end of the line got angry when I asked for chips for us and kept saying "two chips" which I couldn't understand after three tries. (She was asking if we wanted two bags or one) Overall, this location is dirty and a management failure. Staff are unpleasant. The locations in West Hartford center and at the mall are poor for multiple reasons. They need oversight and an overhaul. I've raised two college aged sons on Chipotle for years. I ordered a kids quesadilla meal which comes with the quesadilla and 3 extra sides. They employees made it totally wrong with only two sides which was just the beginning. The lady scoffed at me and my friend when we ordered and when I went to pay, I waited 15 minutes waiting while the lady walked away. 1.5/5 stars. Unfortunately, it leans more towards a 1/5. It's a shame how poorly this location is managed. Small portions and incorrect orders consistently. The ghetto and unprofessional management and employees along with their terrible customer service also tend to be just as bad at preparing food here. Total unmashed avocados in the guac, fat trimmings accidentally in the meat, watching employees on their phone while cutting meat and breaking every sanitation protocol in the book.....it goes on and on. Take a look at how disgusting the line is in the front, can you imagine what they are doing in the back of the house? I don't even blame the employees to be honest, there have certainly been great crew members here but their management is nonexistent. If you're the owner reading this, please fix it. I love chipotle and have been a consistent customer for years across the country but this place is embarrassing and I cringe thinking about it. Customers deserve better than this trash read more

Disgusting. I walked in, and there was food all over the floor that hadn't been swept up, which looked like it had been there all day. There was not one table that didn't have food all over it and food on the ground. I paid $15 to stare at my mobile order bag for 10 minutes before i had to interrupt the cashier to give us our food. When I opened the bag, there was no cup inside when I had ordered the drink. When I asked for the cup, the cashier rudely said that she already gave the cup to my friend. We had both ordered drinks and only received one cup. She said whatever and handed me the cup and I walked away. I thought that the suffering was over until I opened up my bowl to see that it was literally half full, and the lid wasn't even closed. By far the worst chipotle I've ever been to. Ordering the food was fine, although the server did not take extra time to let the water drip out of the beans resulting in a soggy burrito. As we were leaving an hour before closing, we went to sit at one of the tables, where a worker told us the dining area is closed. She claims to have just cleaned the tables and looked visibly annoyed making us feel uncomfortable. It was an hour before closing. Employees were also complaining about leaving even though they had another hour in their shift. Don't get me wrong I'm all for getting off work but when you are complaining in front of customers it doesn't come off right. Overall, the experience was disappointing. If the burrito wasn't soggy, it would be two stars. Side-note, no napkins in the to go bag. This is not the first time we've had such terrible service at this location. There were probably 8 or 9 staff. They seemed very busy, but weren't serving anyone at the front counter. Someone was very busy with a ladder and something with the stove. One person seemed to be cleaning. Someone was at the back walking around. 2 staff were having a conversation at the register, laughing about something. We stood in line among 3 or 4 other customers. No one acknowledged the line or let us know that they would be with us at all. I think it's so weird that they were so "busy", but not focused on the line that was growing and had grown to about 12 when we finally got through the line. It's easy to forget that they should make sure customers are being served as opposed to focusing on their tasks. On top of all that, the burrito was so runny and poorly rolled that we had to dump them into bowls to eat them. My husband couldn't finish his because it tasted so bad. We've always loved Chipotle, but this location is always a let down. We won't be back. read more

This location has become super inconsistent. Used to be my go to spot but it's fallen off. The customer service is shitty. Tonight in my mobile order, I paid for double protein and barely got a single portion. I also didn't get my queso or veggies. My wife didn't get chicken (like we ordered and PAID for), no veggies and 2 pieces of lettuce (which we ordered extra). Wife's steak was burned too. I went with my family today as we usually do. Apparently their system was down and they would not give us our food until the system was fixed so we could pay. Our food sat there for around 1 hour and when we got it, the food was freezing cold and horrible. They also made this a problem due to us not being able to pay, then giving us the bowls and burritos for free because a person was "not very happy" with this and to apologize to everyone in the store they gave them free meals. I give this Chipotle 1 star because the service was absolutely horrible. Out of all the people working when I went here, the only decent employee was the guy behind the register , however he was a bit out of it himself. The guy that started my order got the previous customers order wrong and gave him an attitude when he told him he wanted something else. Then he got my order wrong, but I didn't say anything to him because I had my kids with me and didn't want to start anything. The other employee on the line and himself seemed to be having problems with each other because he was doing everything wrong and having an attitude. That employee also wasn't paying attention and kept walking away on my order . None of the employees working on my order acknowledge me or smiled or anything, they were all talking amongst themselves. I had asked for mine to go, and he made it for dine-in. Then when I told him I needed it to go, he put the lid on it and the lid kept popping off and he had an attitude about putting it on. Then as he's doing that he keeps asking when he's going on break. What appeared to be the "manager" on duty was doing nothing to correct anyone's behavior and seemed to have an attitude as well. This was the worst Chipotle I have ever been to and do not plan on revisiting this one. I do not recommend going here. read more
