I have learned to love Chiptole.  I was very wary it first, but after research and experimenting by eating there I eat here a good amount.  I looked at the allergen menu online and found that the chicken, rice, black beans and chips do not contain dairy.  This is a huge deal!  Also no cross contamination with the separate spoons and areas.  Whenever I go there I order 2 soft shell tacos with brown rice, black beans and chicken, after I add a bag of chips.  It is very plain but very flavorful.  I know I get confused looks from the workers when I say that's all I want with my order.  They also look confused when I say no to the sprinkle cheese and the queso sauce.  But I am very happy with this meal.  I always have the option when I get home to put some dairy free cheese on my tacos if I want.  I find myself craving this meal often. Here is an update. In my last review, I said there was nothing to fail. Well, I picked up a chicken with salad and a steak burrito to eat on my brother's lunch hour at his house, while he was working. He took one bite into his burrito and exclaimed, "WHOA, this is freakin' hot!" I took a small taste and agreed. So, Chipoltle needs some consistency in their seasoning of the main ingredients. My friend and I come here every now and then. To me this is not Mexican food. It's "like" Mexican food. But I don't mind it and my friend prefers it to "real" Mexican food. I would have rated it slightly lower based on that, but I know what it is going in so I won't fault them for that. If you have been to ANY Chipotle then you know the food to expect. I love that they make it as you walk down the line with them so you easily ask them to leave stuff out or add stuff as you go. A picky eater like me would be a happy person if everyplace did this! At this location I have always received the highest quality of food, friendly and quick service. No complaints in this area at all. The only thing is this location seems very small. We usually try to come during off meal times and sometimes it's still crowded. There just isn't a lot of seating. I imagine during peek lunch and dinner times that seating is almost impossible. They do however keep the seating area very clean. read more

We went here about a month ago. Terrible. My fajita bowl was skimpy...BFs burrito...tiny. Staff was rude and rushed through orders so quick that they didn't care what was being slopped on at the moment. I skipped yelp and went straight to emailing the company as a whole. It was maybe 8pm on a Saturday - not a work weeks lunch hour. There were a few people in line but nothing crazy. Management was nice and quickly emailed me back regarding my message to them on this location. (That was good customer service IMO). So we went back last night...eh, not much a difference that I've noticed. BF even asked if I'd ordered easy steak on my bowl because it was quick light scoop and plop and shove down the line. Was not expecting anything great but the steak burrito I just had was disgusting. All the meat was gristle and the rice filler was bland. There are numerous Mexican fast food locations in the area which are far better, no surprise this place is an offshoot of McDonalds, YUCK! read more

CONS:Ordered a steak burrito - Got a bean, rice, dried lettuce, dried guacamole, with small chopped pieces steak that had no flavor and laden with preservatives.I would never go back to a place that has such lack of freshness. Well my food was delish but.. my experience with the workers was a different story. I called to place an order because at the moment I didn't have internet access.. the worker said when placing orders for 2 or more items (I had 5) I had to go online.. after explaining that I wasn't able to, he began huffing and puffing. Then when requesting avocado on the side, sliced (which was never ever an issue previously) I was told that isn't allowed. After explaining how often my brother visits chipotle and they've always given him avocado slices on the side with no problem, they proceeded to tell me what I was telling them was untrue. Excuse me? This Chipotle has the worst customer service. My daughter and I eat Chipotle 3 or 4 times a week. My order never change, my 6 yr old can tell you what I order. This location is closest to our home but we travel to either Downers Grove or Westmont location because the customer is excellent. Today February 18, at 12:45pm I come in and order; a bowl to go please white rice (given half scoop) I ask for extra the worker blew her breathe I ask for black bean and chicken, now its the next person making my bowl I asked for just a little medium salsa she scooped more medium salsa than I had chicken in the bowl. So, I repeated just a little medium please this lady had the nerves to say its not that hot. Ummm I pay for what I like not what one want to give me. I turned around a walked out. She then screamed OH MY GOD! Are you serious Chipotle this is how you let your employees treat customers? This was the second issue I have had with this location it WON'T be a third. I will contact corporate. By the way I only ordered because it was so many new faces thought maybe customer service was better. read more

Staff acts like they are being inconvenienced to serve you or answer a question, and my burrito was literally half the size it usually is at other locations. Vegan fast food in the burbs. Now serves brown rice so there's no excuse not to eat here (stayed away before because of white rice, no value to it except tasty!) - rather healthy for fast food overall. $6 something for a massive burrito bowl that lasts me two meals. I always get brown rice and black beans (pinto are not veg friendly), fajita veggies, mild and corn salsa, lettuce, and maybe some guac on the side. This location is super busy during lunch hours but handles the crowds well. Sure there may be a line to the door but it moves pretty fast unless you get somebody at the front asking a bunch of questions which is fine, if you don't know / want to know something ask! Also the people who work here are really friendly - once I wanted some guac but it had gotten pretty badly cross-contaminated with the sour cream. Usually I just forget about it because I don't want to hold up the line, but since it wasn't busy that time I felt ok asking if they had other guac they could get for me and they did which was really nice. That's something to think about though if you are a person with allergies especially - the cheese / sour cream tend to get into the guac a lot so pay attention to that if you need. read more

So I've been coming to this location for several years now. It used to be great. It was clean and the food had consistency. Not sure if management changed but this place is not good anymore. As a military member we use to get discounts so I would invite military friends to eat here and it was great, that is no longer the case. However, What really drove me to write this bad review is that I came in today and asked for a chicken burrito. The meat portions at chipotle have always been very conservative but today was just unacceptable. I could literally count the pieces of chicken with one hand. I asked to get a little more chicken and that followed with a response of "extra charge". I politely asked if I could speak to a manager to make them aware of the situation and the manager boldly said the same "extra charge" statement. If I wanted to get a rice burrito I would go elsewhere but it's very disappointing that they are willing to lose a loyal customer for refusing to make the burritos the company is known for. I used to go to Qdoba until they closed. I liked them over Chipotle because they had Queso. After Qdoba closed I started going to Chipotle for my burrito needs instead. Their burritos are really good. And now they have Queso too! I was so excited when I found out, but so disappointed when I tasted it. It tasted gritty, like it was made with flour. I think they need to make their Queso more like Qdoba's or even Tostito's. read more

I have been going to this Chipotle location since it opened several years ago. In the last year or so the place has become less clean than it used to be. Tables are often not cleaned and wiped down in a timely manner and the personnel caters to the "pick-up" business more than in-house customers. Just seems to be dirty all the time. read more

Terrible service today. The entire staff was working on a phoned in order (or an app order). I stood there waiting with people behind me in line and nobody says a word to me. I finally said something to the 5-6 people working on that order and one snapped back at me that they're working on an order. I tried to remind her that I'm on a lunch break and it seemed a little ridiculous that everyone in the place is working on that one order! The service here has slipped over the years. Wow! I placed a mobile order, went to pick it up early. My daughter has a severe dairy allergy, which I made a note of. When I watched the staff make her meal, I was really impressed! To begin, I LOVE chipotle. The rating is for this location only and not the food. I don't normally like to leave bad reviews unless a negative experience takes place more than once. This location is the closest one to me and I've gone here several times and experienced rude service. I think the management has changed because this is an issue that has come up in the last 6 months. The workers here are very unfriendly. And I wouldn't mind that so much if they didn't give me attitude when I corrected them on the toppings I'd like in my burrito. On numerous occasions, a staff member has started to roll up my burrito prior to adding the lettuce or guac that I requested. So, I speak up to correct them and smile. The last 4 times this happened, the employee paused to look up at me and gave me a dirty look for a few seconds before finishing my burrito. I don't really understand why that was necessary. The music plays loudly, the line moves fast, a lot of thing are happening, it's natural that every so often an order would be misheard or missed all together. I don't mind that -- I could just do without the attitude. I hope things will change at this location otherwise it might be worth driving further out for more pleasant service. read more

Third time ordering online, third time getting an incorrect order. Called to talk to the manager. He was very unprofessional. Did not say hello or introduce himself. He got on the phone and said, "yes?" He took 10 minutes (while I was on hold) to confirm that they did in fact screw up my order and told me that he could not give me a refund and that I had ONE WEEK to come in and the claim the items that I had paid for!?!?! Chipotle is a fast food Mexican restaurant. You can get tacos, burritos and the like. If you're familiar with Qdoba, you will find this place very similar. The main difference between the 2 is humanity. Chipotle buys chicken that has been treated humanely. They don't spend their lives in tiny cages living in their own and others' feces. They are pumped with antibiotics so that they are safe to eat. Otherwise we'd all be sick from eating chickens that are treated so badly. The best way to make a difference is to use your dollars to support humane businesses. Support Chipotle! read more

This is definitely one of my least favorite locations I've gone to. Every single time I seem to leave not completely satisfied as I would from other chipotle locations. Like many have stated I find that the servers are rude and seem to be in a hurry. My burrito bowl is often times skimpy which has led me to ask for additional amounts which leads to further eye rolls. I do understand they are busy but customer service is very important! I have never been to a McChipotle before. I had the Carnitas bowl. $5.75 Guacamole $1.35 A nantucket $2.25 and a bag of chips 75 cents. For the 10 bucks and change I could have eaten at a real mexican restaurant. The food was o.k. The chips were to salty. The rice made the pork taste like I bit into a lime. And there was a line out the door? I don't get it. I try to support the local flavor, where ever I go. But this is a chain that Mcky D's started. I would have expected more for the price. read more

This location is small, but moves quickly as most Chipotle's do. The parking here is horrendous. All in all, I don't think Chipotle is anything unique or remarkable, but I like the create-your-own process and I think their meats are well-seasoned. It's chipotle..not much different than the rest. I always check out the meatscause some times some looks better than the other, could be the cook that hour who knows. Someone complained the corn salsa was spicy..it is supposed to be. It is not a mild salsa. Always a fan. I think I am addicted to the rice with line and guacamole. I would never compare this to authentic Mexican food, unless you think Taco Bell is authentic. It is fast tex-mex. Yum! Oh and this place blows taco bell out of the water in taste. This Chipotle was very busy when I visited, but the staff was very friendly and accomodating to get through the rush. They definitely loaded everyone up (no skimping here) which was a nice change as I've been to a few Chipotle's that skimp on things. Normal chipotle, great quality of food, this one offers a patio outside, although it does face route 83. People seem to like to hang out at this site, which is nice to see.
