Some very good dishes. Scotch Eggs are my favorite. Crispy breaded sausage covered hard-boiled eggs. There are no bathrooms inside the restaurant. You have to use the one around the corner, in the casino area. You can also eat your food at the Energy Bar. The bartenders will order at and have it delivered (Or used to). So I'll start with the good...the food was decent. It was about what you find at most diners. However, the drinks were done by someone who has either never bartended or never ordered drinks in their life. I ordered an old fashioned and my dad ordered a scotch on the rocks. My old fashioned looked like a grapefruit drink and his scotch was served in a shot glass. I even questioned the waitress if it was correct and she assured me it was. She was great and attentive, but I don't think she knew how these drinks were done either. read more

Amazing food! I had the chicken friend steak and it was great. The glazed carrots were really amazing! My husband had the Irish nachos. Honestly I could have ate 5 of those things. You can actually taste all 3 of the cheeses they use. Our friend had the cod and shrimp and was very satisfied. Also the meal was super cheap! I live in choctaw but would drive to Norman just to eat there now. Can't wait to go back. read more

We read the reviews and hadn't been inside the Riverwind Complex. We decided to go for a Sunday early dinner. Once inside, the whole place smelled like tobacco smoke and stale alcoholic drinks. We found the Pub and figured we would give it a try inspite of our first impression. It looks like a bad facade for a Disney version of what they perceive as a PUB. Service was inconsistent and they really didn't have much information about what food they served there. We had fish and chips. Greasy and no real available craft beers or ciders for beverages. Dessert came with meal. It was a frozen, pre-packaged Sara Lee something that was not worth the calories. I hated the place and so did my husband. It's like a Walmart version of a casino/restaurant. I would never go back, and wouldn't recommend it either. One star for a warning. read more

Service was slow - our food sat long enough to be barely warm before it came to our table. I ordered Fish and chips, for some reason the manager came to see about our issue, I didn't even know there was an issue at that point. But once I looked at the food and tasted the crazy thin, dried out, shoe leather fish I asked if that was what the fish usually looked like. He assured me that each portion was weighed - somehow the second plate looked and tasted a lot better. We had chips and salsa as an appetizer - the chips were covered in grease and looked like we got the crumbs from the bottom of the bag. My 7 yr old had the mac n cheese. It was a tiny portion served in a soup cup without any kind of plate underneath. The kids meal (which only consisted of the small portion of mac n cheese) was $5 but a side of mac n cheese is only $4. I don't really understand why we paid $1 more for no difference. My husband ordered the Shepard's pie, they came back and said they were out. So he got the Chicken Pot Pie instead. It must have sat too long as well, it wasn't hot. Our server had to be asked 3 times before she finally came with more drinks. She was getting ready to give us the check when I had to tell her our food had not been served yet. Busy weekend, beautiful day for a ride to enjoy the weather. We got hungry along the way, and decided to stop at the River Wind Casino, on the way home. We had heard that the restaurant there, was good. Once inside, we located the restaurant, and were greeted by a hostess that did not even smile or seem to want to even be bothered by us. Actually, she did not greet us... we had to initiate and request seating for two. The restaurant was attractively designed in old world Irish decor and design, and appeared to be relatively clean. The waitress came and pleasantly introduced herself as Jamie, took our drink orders, described the daily special, and gave us menus. She was obviously experienced and took pride in her work. She was training a new waitress, and did so very diligently as an example of great service. Our drinks were delivered , and we decided on the special Surf and Turf (6 oz. steak, 3 shrimp, and 2 sides) and placed our order. I have specific dietary needs due to severe chronic health issues, so I was very precise with questions about the food prep. I ordered my steak medium/well done, grilled (not battered and fried) shrimp, a plain (no butter, no sugar) sweet potato, and steamed broccoli with no butter. My husband ordered his steak "rare", grilled shrimp, mac-n-cheese, and steamed broccoli. We waited for over 45 minutes, observing our waitress working hard to serve numerous tables. We watched several customers, that had arrived and ordered well after we did, all receive their food. Our waitress came and apologized for the wait, and went to check again, on our order. She returned to inform us that it should only be 3 or 4 more minutes, then she came back in about 5 minutes and told us they had cooked my husband's steak too long, so they were cooking another one. She brought us out a platter of greasy tortilla chips, salsa, and white queso, in an attempt to appease our appetites, and apologized again. We explained to her that I could not eat that, and she asked if there was anything else we would like. We felt so sorry for the poor girl, because she was obviously embarrassed and frustrated, but she continued to be very attentive and do everything in her power to serve us well. When our food finally was delivered, my steak was dried out, and I had a bowl of mashed sweet potato with butter standing in it, and sugar added. I hated to even mention to the poor waitress, that the sweet potato was not as I specifically ordered it. Our plates were absent of any shrimp. We waited another 10-15 minutes to receive or shrimp. The broccoli was fresh, and steamed with no butter, as we had requested. The food was barely warm, but the steaks did have good flavor. We guessed that my plate sat there while they prepared a new steak for my husband, hence to dry steak, mashed prepped and rewarmed sweet potato with added butter and sugar. Once again she apologized and asked to let her replace the item with another dish, and said that the manager would be out to visit us. We ate our meal, and the waitress offered desert or another item from the menu, but we were just ready to be done with the not so pleasant experience. She left and returned a few minutes later, stating that our meal would be comped and we only needed to pay for our drinks. The manager never even bothered to make an appearance, but the waitresses maintained their composure, and provide the best friendly service she could possibly offer in spite of the circumstances. She was loyal to her employer, and urged us to return and give them another chance. We are not fussy people, and typically do not complain, and we understand that establishments can have "bad days" or issues that are not typical. We more than likely will not put any effort into returning, will not put this place on our list, and probably would not refer this place, to anyone. read more

My family and I went in last night and learned that they've recently undergone some changes ... Some GREAT changes. I had been last March, and things were a bit off. But I have to say, it was AMAZING last night. Irish Nachos? So tasty. The Full Monty burger? The egg, bacon, and Havarti with a touch a fresh cracked pepper made it so delicious. My son had the Big Cheese burger. And he ate it in no time flat. We also ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken. I haven't had one so yummy in so long. Mustard Seed Mashed Potatoes? Perfect addition. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Every day I would. Great, great food! And great, great beer! Go! You'll love it! read more

So..... went to casino to celebrate a birthday....we had a party of 11....when I went to hostess stand to put name on the list, she was APPALLED that we would have so many people....I told her and manager standing at stand that we could split the party between tables. After waiting an hour and watching them sit table after table, I asked them about it.... and they "forgot" we would split.... then, service was horrible....food was good.....when we got our tab, it was wrong.... when we questioned them, the manager was beyond rude.... we will never be back.... read more

Service is horrible as this restaurant. Have had two bad experiences! One time was told there would be one hour wait. Restaurant was empty. Had several servers chatting in corner. Had to get our own refills of tea. Food came out cold. Had to search for server to try to pay! Second time we went we ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken. Both our orders were burnt, over cooked and chicken was so dry it was hard to chew. Told our waiter and he said oh well, I can do desert for you. We turned the desert down. This restaurant used to be a decent place to eat! I would not recommend this restaurant anymore as the service has really declined. Expected a better experience! Wow what a let down. read more

Must have the chicken pot pie recipe! Seriously, it's modeled after an english pub and their Shepherds Pie is very good but their best item has to be the Chicken Pot Pie. Not sure how they get that crust so fluffy and yeasty tasting but it's Yummy! read more

I usually like this place but this was the worst service we have ever received. We showed up and checked in which is done through Yelp. They told us it would be 20 mins. We received the conformation and waited 35 minutes when we weren't called so I went up there and they said they didn't know what happened so they seated us at a high top table which is not what we wanted but there were several low tops available but the did not offer. Any way we waited for the server. She finally showed up and took our drink order. I waited another 20 minutes. Could see our drinks in the bar and no one brought them to us so we just left. The manager was walking around but not engaging in any conversations it was a waste of our time and a loss of sales on their part. I hope they get their act together because this used to be such a nice place sad to see that it has diminished read more
