Ordered through Uber Eats, was not expecting the food to still be freshly hot but it was which was amazing, a little soggy (con of delivery). Here is what we ordered 2 hot chicken sandwich combos, one with tots and the home-wrecker sauce, the other with fries and the original hot dang sauce. Fried pickles, Mac and cheese tots and 2 drinks. Chicken was good but was overly seasoned with what they toss it in I assume, nice and moist chicken but way way way too salty, tots were very undercooked, fries were great and still crispy. Stopped by NashBird around 3 PM for lunch and had a great experience. I ordered the Fried Hot Chick Combo with the KICKIN heat level and a side of mac & cheese. The chicken was incredibly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The KICKIN spice had a really nice kick without completely overpowering the taste. Date night at Nashbird. We walked in and ordered at the counter. The downside was the floor was terribly sticky, and it wasn't just a little spot, it was over a large area. Not a good way to start the dining experience. We ordered Mac and cheese poppers, and chicken tender baskets. The basket came with a slice of white bread, two pickle slices, and fries. You have an option on the fries, regular and Nash. We chose the Nash fries and they were very good. The Mac and cheese poppers were OK, but lacked the flavor that I expected. I ordered my tenders with "kickin" heat, and Jan ordered hers with "chirp". Jan commented that hers was really spicy. Hers looked like mine and tasted like mine. I think they did both orders with the "kickin" seasoning. I thought the seasoning was not very favorable, a little bland. The tenders are a nice size. Two pickel slices for two tenders is a bit lame. The venue has a bar/pub vibe. It has a nice outdoor seating area. The beer menu is limited. The prices are reasonable. I've been here a few times in my travels to OKC. The service is always amazing! The food is top notch. I've gotten the chicken, fries, fried pickles and Mac and cheese bites. The hot chick sandwich with hot tots it was very neutral temp on the chicken wasn't very hot for either of our meals but the Mac n cheese balls were on fire temp wise . I got the Nash chicken sandwich and it was alright the tenders were the best part though we got the chirp and Hot Dang tenders good size I personally would good with the Hot Dang neither were very hot might even go another level up honestly . What happened to Nashbird? I came back with a friend today after 1 PM. I got the hot chick sandwich, and friend got the tenders basket. The chicken was cold and dry like it has been precooked hours ago. It did not taste as good as a few years ago. The food came out extremely quick, perhaps supporting that it has been precooked earlier. It was not good today. My friend has never been here before, and he was really disappointed with the food. This is a tough review for me. It's tough because my wife and I both went here for lunch together and we ordered 2 different items. I got the nashvillian sandwich which was delicious. Very good taste and came out in a matter of minutes. My wife got a Mac and chicken bowl. This is where I change course. The warmest thing in the bowl was the Mac and cheese. The tater tots as well as the chicken were room temperature to the touch. Overall you can expect your sandwich to be fresh but maybe they figure the lunch rush will be busy so they pre-cut chicken patties and use those for the bowls as they are ordered. Either way for $30+ for 2 meals, one which is cold, I probably won't be going back. I wish I would have mentioned to the staff that we were unhappy with one of the meals, but they know that they're serving pre cut chicken and pre cooked tater tots. read more

The food was fast and high quality, just as I'd hoped. Service was good-- maybe a little gruff but I got suggestions for everything I asked about and the employee I asked for a lemon for my water from fully went into the back and got one chopped for me :) I hate to say that the restaurant is a bit... grimy? Everything inside was a little dark and undecorated, and the patio was covered in a bit of dust when I sat down. I've had colleagues rave about this place for years but today was the first time I tried it. OMG. We stopped in on a Saturday around 11:30 and there were plenty of tables. (By the time we left, things were picking up.) One in our party ate here weekly during his college days so he was our guide and cautioned us against the highest rated spice level. I had a Nash Chicken Sandwich with "chirp" level spice. I will say I wish I had been a bit gutsier. It was a very mild spice but was good. I also tried the tots. While service is order at the counter/delivered to your table, the workers were very friendly and helpful. I would certainly eat here again (and again). Cute area on 10th, too. (Sorry not pics. For starters I LOVE LOVE Nashbird. But the last two times I have gone its not been the same. I dont know if its the staff or what. First of all I only ever get the kickin chicken tenders, hot tots, and pickle ranch. The tots and Sauce are still perfection. But whoever is in charge of cooking the chicken is not doing it justice. The tenders have been like half the usual size and so over cooked they are like jerky. The breading and flavor has been off. I have been craving it so bad and been let down the last two times. I am only posting this review in hopes its brought to managements attention and corrected. The one in MWC was never good and that was basically due to bad employees. Ate here for a weekday lunch and we loved it. It was quick service perfect for quick lunch option and we loved the patio seating. Love the neighborhood. I let them know I am allergic to wheat and they understood and informed me of cross contamination of the sauces between the grilled and fried chicken. So it breaks my heart to do this but I have to lower my review for a restaurant that used to be my staple and go to when I decided to cheat on my diet and go out to eat. For the past six months, I've noticed a decline in quality and size. I keep reasoning with myself that oh it's a new cook or something else but I ate here last night and I just have to let this one go. My opinion only but I think this happens when local restaurants grow. They seem to lose the one thing that made them popular in the first place and I think that's what's happened here. I have not tried the other two locations so I don't know if it's just specific to downtown or what but this review is on the downtown location. First of all, the place is cute and quaint and the staff are super friendly. That hasn't changed but what has changed is the quality of food :((. The breading on the chicken is different. It doesn't taste the same and it leaves a residue in your mouth plus it continually flakes off the chicken:(;. The portion size has a decreased. I used to love to get their salad with a huge bowl full of beautiful leafy green romaine! The past two times I've gone however, you get a small Super Bowl. And I swear, you get about half the chicken you did before. Even the quality of the tea has decreased. I had lunch from Nashbird delivered via Postmates. I ordered the jumbo tenders with chirp level seasoning and pickle ranch dressing, nash fries, and a side order of fried pickles. I ordered chirp because I hadn't had Nashbird's chicken before and I didn't want to burn my tastebuds off until I knew what their levels equaled to my tastes. I got my food delivered and my driver was excellent. The drink seems quite small (16 oz) for $2.50 but I guess it's the going rate at these kitschy places now. The jumbo tenders weren't very jumbo in comparison to tenders from other places. The seasonings were clumped in places and not at all present in other places, making the overly seasoned bits hard to eat. The nash fries were good. I mean french fries with a cajun type seasoning can't be too hard, right? The pickle ranch dressing was good. The hint of pickle makes the ranch interesting. The fried pickles were definitely not for me. I prefer actual pickle per bite, not just breading. Being these are slices, like the stackers you can buy, there just wasn't enough pickle per bite. Overall, my opinion of Nashbird is that is's just ok. Nothing to write home about and nothing I will seek out. read more

The place to go for Nashville Hot Chicken! It's really tragic that I'm not the biggest fan of it, but for those who are like me, don't fear! They've got a Southern fried and Buttermilk Ranch option for those like me. Their chicken sandwich is fantastic! Great fried chicken on a brioche bun topped off with a saucy slaw that perfectly accompanies the fried richness of that chicken. In my opinion, the best sandwiches are those that are messy, so be prepared to have a stack of napkins next to you. As for sides, my favorite are the fried onion rings that are so crisply fried. Incredibly yummy with a side of their pickle ranch. Their mac and cheese is also really good. Can't go wrong with any entree you opt for, but definitely beware of the spice!
