    Mac and cheese poppers

Date night at Nashbird. We walked in and ordered at the counter. The downside was the floor was terribly sticky, and it wasn't just a little spot, it was over a large area. Not a good way to start the dining experience. We ordered Mac and cheese poppers, and chicken tender baskets. The basket came with a slice of white bread, two pickle slices, and fries. You have an option on the fries, regular and Nash. We chose the Nash fries and they were very good. The Mac and cheese poppers were OK, but lacked the flavor that I expected. I ordered my tenders with "kickin" heat, and Jan ordered hers with "chirp". Jan commented that hers was really spicy. Hers looked like mine and tasted like mine. I think they did both orders with the "kickin" seasoning. I thought the seasoning was not very favorable, a little bland. The tenders are a nice size. Two pickel slices for two tenders is a bit lame. The venue has a bar/pub vibe. It has a nice outdoor seating area. The beer menu is limited. The prices are reasonable. You order, pay and a server brings your food to you, never to be seen again, which is OK with me, but if you need anything you will need to go to the counter.

I've been here a few times in my travels to OKC. The service is always amazing! The food is top notch. I've gotten the chicken, fries, fried pickles and Mac and cheese bites. All of the above you can't go wrong with. There are several heat options for the chicken, I went with a lower heat(chirp) and it was pretty dang hot! But I'm a baby for heat. Small place inside and parking is in a small lot across the street!

Got to check out this new spot here in Oklahoma City ! Very good pricing almost hit the mark for the Nashville Chicken taste that we have been actively hunting for . The hot chick sandwich with hot tots it was very neutral temp on the chicken wasn't very hot for either of our meals but the Mac n cheese balls were on fire temp wise . I got the Nash chicken sandwich and it was alright the tenders were the best part though we got the chirp and Hot Dang tenders good size I personally would good with the Hot Dang neither were very hot might even go another level up honestly . Service was very fast server was very pleasant as well . We decided to sit outside and got to watch the train go by which was a very nice treat as well . Parking sucks have to park in the back not very clear on where to park exactly .

What happened to Nashbird? I came back with a friend today after 1 PM. I got the hot chick sandwich, and friend got the tenders basket. The chicken was cold and dry like it has been precooked hours ago. It did not taste as good as a few years ago. The food came out extremely quick, perhaps supporting that it has been precooked earlier. It was not good today. My friend has never been here before, and he was really disappointed with the food. Hopefully, this is just an off day for them.

Came on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. We both got hot chicken sandwiches at the mildest spice level. I got the original one and my bf got the one was with mac and cheese. Everting was delicious! Love the nash fries as well. Service was great, everyone was very friendly.

Hot Dang! Chicken Sandwich with delicious coleslaw and pickle topping

We had a smorgasbord of chicken dishes because I like to try everything! The chicken was crispy on the outside, perfectly breaded (not too thick), and tender and juicy on the inside. The hot chicken spices along with tangy vinegar from the pickles and coleslaw topping made a delicious sandwich combo. The fries were well-seasoned, some of the best I've had! And the Jack and cream soda slushy was like candy. The vibe was fun-casual with hip hop tunes playing. The staff was attentive and friendly--definitely my kind of place.

Ok so this has become a place I will dine every time I have the chance while in OKC. The restaurant is very clean and cute inside, the staff was very helpful and the food was AH-mazing! We sat outside and the weather was perfect and they have some adorable shops surrounding them. Highly recommend this location

I hadn't been in this location yet, but I knew I wanted Nashbird chicken when I visited tonight!! I've been on 9th st a lot for shopping, so it was fun to actually visit the patio. The food was fast and high quality, just as I'd hoped. Service was good-- maybe a little gruff but I got suggestions for everything I asked about and the employee I asked for a lemon for my water from fully went into the back and got one chopped for me :) I hate to say that the restaurant is a bit... grimy? Everything inside was a little dark and undecorated, and the patio was covered in a bit of dust when I sat down. In comparison to the rest of idyllic 9th St, it was a bit of a let down but not enough for me to take my food home. Thank y'all!

I got out of my Uber, and I saw a couple walking into the main building. One would assume that everyone is there for art and passes by thinking nothing of it, but I knew there was a secret entrance waiting to be found. I tipped my Uber and walked in. The couple was gone, and all that was left were closed shops in a long wooden hallway. In the Hallway was a man in normal clothes. He said, "The lounge?" Yes, I replied, and he asked for my ID. I showed it to him, then he pointed to a black box on the wall with a moon sticker on it. I pushed it, and the wall opened like an Indiana Jones movie. First impressions are important, and I was impressed. The hidden entrance established the secrecy and exclusivity that I expected from a speakeasy. The Lunar Lounge featured a 1990s retro space theme. This included decorations and art. They had their business logo on the wall, a mural of a naked women sitting on a crescent moon with long red hair covering her private parts. There was a robot-shaped snack machine with a mini tube television for a head, static on the screen with angry black electrical tape making his eyes and mouth. The music was energetic without overpowering people's conversations. Calling ahead of time, I met with a bartender who explained to me that they had no intention of becoming a speakeasy; they wanted to create a safe place for their friends who were part of the LGBT community to express themselves out of sight of public view without fear of judgment or discrimination. Basically, meeting every requirement of a Modern Speakeasy. The owner did a good job creating a convivial atmosphere. People were friendly and socially warm in this relaxed environment. According to the Annuals of Tourism, "Convivial atmospheres are powerful in that they carry with them a transformative potential in terms of individuals' openness to and anticipation of future encounters, and their attendant feelings"(Rokka). The Hosts, therefore, created an Atmosphere catered to their intended Patrons. Even though the secret entrance and the atmosphere made this speakeasy impressive, the focus is on the drinks. Now, a bartender does not need to be a master at mixology, but for the sake of the evaluation, there are a few things people tend to look for in a drink. I personally evaluate a cocktail based on the balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, and aftertaste. According to the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, "mixologists, with their aesthetic approach, contribute to transforming mixology into a form of cultural and creative expression" (Creta). I ordered a sophisticated drink from their menu, wondering what they might do differently. I ordered their Cosmopolitan, a signature cocktail. Instead of putting one shot or two shots, the bartender put a shot and a half. This made the alcohol blend in with the sweetness, not too sweet, so that someone would not drink it too fast. With the cranberry juice, he added a space candy garnish shaped like the moon, and as it dissolved, it started to dye the drink blue. After I finished the drink, I ordered it again from a different bartender, and she made it the same way. I saw consistency; all their signature cocktails looked cold, full of artistic expression, and used high-quality ingredients. Now, an argument I would consider valid concerning Speakeasies is: "A real Speakeasy is a traditional hidden room within a restaurant or cave with formal attire and with jazz music." And to a point, I would agree, but at that time, cave networks were maintained, and Restaurants were a family business where you could make a secret room without corporate overreach or whistleblowing. Those places were modern at the time. Today, Speakeasy simply means to go somewhere to drink away from the general public to speak easily. This could be two construction workers getting off work to go to an exclusive place where most union workers go to relax after work, to a private room where two politicians talk shop out of earshot of the public, or to a restaurant turning into a bar after business hours and bringing in a DJ, karaoke or actual theatre. All of these activities meet the constantly changing environment that would and could be seen in a speakeasy. Ultimately, the Lunar Lounge succeeds because it captures the cultural purpose of a speakeasy, with secret doors leading to a convivial atmosphere and well-made cocktails. Based on my data and experience at the Lunar Lounge, I would consider it a modern speakeasy. The 18th Amendment wasn't just about stopping the sales of alcohol. It was about stopping people from expressing themselves in America and spreading cultural influence. The Lunar Lounge met my basic evaluation of a speakeasy, not just the physical building, but also the Freedom of Expression that its customers enjoyed.

However, if you want to watch footy in OKC, this is unequivocally the place. It's a really wonderful little soccer Pub on the east side of Oklahoma City. Close to downtown - this is what you are thinking about when you are looking for a European soccer Pub. It's amazing that there is one in Oklahoma City and it's such a great place too. It was really great that they turned up the volume real loud when we got here. And the place was supposed to be closed and they opened it up just for the Champions League games. Can't really get much better than that. People that got here on time found a closed bar and missed the start of the game, but for latecomers such as myself it was timed perfectly, and I was just delighted that they opened up for 10 people wanting to watch a random Liverpool game. I bought some alcohol even though I don't really drink, just to support the bar. I had a political conversation which almost got violent and definitely got weird. So really it was a bit of everything here in OKC on this particular day. I had a great experience in Oklahoma City and this place is one of the reasons why. I met some good characters in here as well and I wish I would have got their numbers or whatever guys do these days. Facebook? Grindr? I forget. Hi boys.

They swiped our credit card to open a tab. Several beers on tap or in cans. A full bar is pretty well stocked. The clientele here seem very friendly. We walled over from the canal walk. Not a great place to walk, but it's only a couple of blocks. Right next to Bricktown parking lot. One restroom/storage room in the back. It's a very laid back, no frills kind of bar. Would return.
