Chiquito picosito 10/10
Karen E.

First time trying this place, my husband and me really enjoyed It. Food was really good drinks were great and service was amazing! Definitely coming back and bringing our kids, since it's family friendly and there's plenty to do from pool tables and arcade games!

The place has been opened 11/2 years. Plenty of parking. It's in a shadier part of town. There is so much space. She even told me they had another room! Yet there's no one there on a Saturday evening sadly. I felt there was not enough meat on the chicken wings. The fries were terribly salty. I love fries. I barely ate this. Service was very good though. Lady was very nice.

Ambiance is super chill at a table or hype at the bar ! I love ordering food and drinks here . 10/10 everytime ! We had the best server Lilah :)

Super late on my review but had to be done. I'm upset I didn't take pictures of our food ! But let me just say we got some crunchy chicken tacos , wet green burrito , & aguachiles con mango. Overall the food was to die for ! I kid u not the food was very delicious! The atmosphere was amazing ! It was such a vibe ! We enjoyed the World Series game , & once it was done we had old school music playing .. it is a family owned business & the owner & his family were such a vibe & super kind ! Omg let me talk about their restroom.. as u can see I shared a few videos of our kids having a blast being silly they absolutely enjoyed it ! We had a blast & so did they! They also have a section with pool tables for the guys to enjoy. Overall my family & I 100% recommend this restaurant & yes we will be returning .

chicken taquitos, beans, rice

We stopped to grab a quick bite to eat! Thought we would try something new. The taquitos were good, the chicken was tender and flavored well. The service was good, she was polite and told us they had been open for 11 months. The ambiance was sports bar style, has a pool table, lots of TVs with sports channels. There is a bar with a variety of beers, we didn't get any. Great for meeting friends, getting some food, drink and reasonable prices too!

The best place for fun times ! Best customer service ! The owner is a stand up man ! This place needs more people here as soon as possible!

Yaaasss....the Beach Bum!

This place is one of theee best spots in Moreno Valley for pool, tasty food, amazing customer service--thank you LaLa--and a safe place to hang out with friends! We frequent this spot often.....come on out!

Fried chicken tacos. & chilaquiles
Belen C.

Food: fantastic, fresh-made, flavorful. Service: fast, kind, accommodating. Ambiance: simple with large screen tv's showing with music videos playing. Tacos were delicious! Tons of flavor. I had never had chilaquiles before, also delicious. Their green salsa is creamy and tasty. The soup and bread were complimentary. Thank you guys! Delicious food

The two sides I picked were the Brussels sprouts -- which were fire -- and the mashed potatoes. I LOVE Thanksgiving, and it gave it that nostalgic homemade holiday vibes. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare: soft, tender, juicy... pure perfection. Not gonna lie, we had a huge spread and everything was so yummy. The first thing I noticed was the presentation. Every dish came out absolutely beautiful -- 20/10. A few other things we tried were the quesabirria, pork belly, aguachile, salmon & shrimp sushi, and the guacamole with chips. Not only is the food magical, but the ambiance is even more gorgeous. The moment you step inside, it feels like you've been transported to a luxury resort straight out of your dreams. Absolutely breathtaking. A must-experience spot! Our server Edwin was the best! He was so kind, patient, and attentive. Thank you for taking care of us! Oh, and come on Sunday nights! We waited nearly two hours for a single drink and eventually left because the restaurant was so disorganized. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming they were still working through the challenges of opening a new business. Months later, I decided to give them another chance, and sadly it was the same experience. The restaurant has so much potential, but it appears to be severely understaffed. Employees seem overwhelmed, confused, and there doesn't appear to be any clear organization or management in place. To make matters worse, the food arrived cold and was disappointing in quality. Long wait times might be understandable if the food made up for it, but that simply wasn't the case. I really wanted to like this place because the concept and atmosphere are great, but after two poor experiences, I can't recommend it. Save your time and money and visit Ay Mi Pa in Riverside instead. You'll get better service, better food, and a much better overall dining experience.

When we arrived, there was a group of three ahead of us, which was completely fine. Once it was our turn, one of my friends made a lighthearted joke just to lighten the mood, that's simply his personality. The hostess immediately responded with a very dry attitude, which we brushed off at first. However, things only got worse from there. As we stood there waiting, multiple groups who arrived after us were suddenly being attended to first. She was checking their IDs, writing their names down on the iPad, and letting them in before us, even though we had clearly been waiting longer. We eventually approached her and asked why our IDs hadn't been checked or our names added yet. She responded by saying she had told us to wait in line, which never happened. None of us were ever directed to a line. From that point on, her tone became increasingly condescending and disrespectful. When I told her that she should speak to customers more respectfully, she mockingly grabbed her ear and said, "What? I can't hear you, it's loud in here," even though it was not loud at all. It felt extremely immature and unnecessary. She also made comments about being the "senior hostess," but honestly, that title means nothing if customers are being treated poorly. Everyone has bad days, but that does not justify taking it out on guests. My friends and I are not the type to complain or leave reviews, but the attitude and behavior we experienced were genuinely inappropriate and unprofessional. We ended up leaving without even going inside. Unfortunately we did not get her name. But she is a white female with blonde hair and glasses, wearing a pink and white Renaissance style outfit and distinctive floral inspired eyeliner makeup that went all the way to her hairline. I'll admit, I eventually became frustrated and felt the need to defend myself and my friends because of how we were being spoken to. I'm not proud that the interaction even reached that point, but the way we were treated felt unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and disrespectful from the beginning.

Mind you this was during baseball season heading to playoffs. The bar was packed for the game and trivia night and she was the only one working on a Tuesday night. We sat at a table near the projector and received exceptional service. She covered every single person at the bar and bar top tables with an ease. Not only recommending and upselling drinks, but making sure I never had to ask for a refill when i was almost empty. unfortunately, every time after that (when she was not on service) was everything but exceptional. Service is horrible. Glasses are dirty with lipstick stains and rims from past drinks. It seems the girls forget that they are at work and more busy hiding in the corner texting than putting my drink order in. Flirting with the dj's and/or talking to their friends. I'm simple a bottle of beer is all i order for the most part. All you have to do it pop the top and hand me my beer. So when I have to wait 10-15 mins just to order, then another 10-15 for you to finish texting in the corner before punching in my order to the register, and then wait for you to actually grab my beer. I am better off going elsewhere. it is really unfortunate the service here is lacking because there was so much potential for this place in moreno valley. it's not like your prices are dirt cheap for people to look the other way in regards to service. there's plenty of other places with better deals and servers who actually work and care about their customers.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. That said, the space itself is smaller and more intimate, which could make it a nice date spot. I do think this place has potential, and I'd consider giving it another chance, hopefully with smoother service next time. Oh Beignets were amazing!! Yummy little donuts!

When we walked into this speakeasy, behind a movable shelf, I was greatly disappointed by the size of this place. It literally was the size of a walk in closet. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.

Honestly when I first tried Shindigs, I absolutely loved it. The dishes, the drinks, the vibe,…read moreeverything seemed on point. However, I've been back a number of times & while I love the restaurant, it's seriously struggling when it comes to food & service. The last straw came when our family came to eat there after going to the cemetery together with my dad for my mom's birthday. She passed in 2022 so we usually go as a family & then go out to eat afterwards. It was relatively empty with one large party finishing up their dessert & a party of 4. We were a party of 14. So we waited so we could be seated together. We asked to be seated in the main dining area at a large group of tables together but were told that those tables were "reserved." So we waited about 20 minutes & the party of 4 left first. So we all sat there next to the pool table. We got menus & the waitress took our drink orders. It took 25 minutes more in the relatively deserted restaurant for the waitress to take our food orders. Once she took our orders we waited...and waited...and waited. Meanwhile the restaurant is starting to get busy. Everyone around us that came after us was getting their food. But not any of us. Finally, 2 of our orders came out. Then about 15 minutes later 2 more orders came out. It continues like this & I'm at the other end of the table & still waiting for our food. It's been 2 hours now & I'm hangry. My sister finally got her side dinner salad. Yes you got that right-- she waited 2 hours for a side dinner salad! She also ordered pasta & took one bite and you guessed it--the dish was barely warm. She had waited 2 hours for a dinner salad and cold pasta. The waitress offered to have it remade but she wasn't willing to wait an eternity for them to redo her dish so she asked the waitress to just have them reheat it. My other sister finally got her salad which was an actual meal with cold chicken and other veggies in it (smart girl I guess because it being cold wasn't a problem). After that, the cold pasta was brought to the table reheated. They finally brought my dish which was an appetizer platter that was supposed to include jalapeño poppers, pectaters with pulled pork, fried pickles and onion rings. I had ordered this because my husband had ordered the Mac & Cheese with the pulled pork & we intended to share because he loves the poppers. I noticed that there were more pecktaters & no poppers. I asked the waitress where the poppers were. She replied, "Oh they ran out of those so they substituted the pectaters." I kind of lost it by that point because I'd already waited 2 1/2 hours for an appetizer platter (which usually comes first not last). I said, "That would have been good to know BEFORE I ordered. The whole reason I got this as a meal was because my husband loves the poppers." She replied "Let me check & see if I can deduct $5 off or you can order something else." Honestly I was NOT going to wait forever for them to make something else so we just took the $5 off because by this time we had been there 3 hours. So I had all these pecktaters which I did not eat & by this time my hunger had passed & I didn't feel like eating a bunch of massive potato balls. I ate the onion rings & fried pickles had two bites of Mac & cheese & I was done. Seriously, in what restaurant universe do you substitute something in an order WITHOUT asking the customer?! I'm sorry but in the restaurant business, the customer is king. They are the reason you're in business. While I realize we were a large party, it was so vexing that the kitchen couldn't get our orders out while everyone that came later was getting their food. Then some of us got cold food (my sister's pasta wasn't the only dish that came out cold). It's just not good service. Also bringing out dishes 2 at a time with 10-15 minutes in between & bringing out cold food is not acceptable. Substituting other items for what was ordered without asking the customer is also not acceptable. This was an important occasion for my family and spending so much time watching other people get their food and waiting so long for ours was disappointing. My family never wants to eat there again. This was an EPIC FAIL. It's not the first time that the service was subpar since my first visit. I've gone with just my husband & had a similar experience with slow service & cold food & watched employees on cell phones ignoring us. I kept giving it chances because it really is a cool place but I just can't justify spending money for food and service like this. I will not be going here again. That's pretty sad because if the kitchen got their act together & the service was remarkably better I would love eating here. When they get the food out hot and cooked right it's definitely really good. But I'm sorry I can't pay good money for more miss than hit.

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!
