Far right corner near the arcade. Experience: amazing and interactive from the moment we checked in. We found this location on yelp and luckily had the opportunity to get on the list. You go down a winding staircase and quite literally step into the coolest 90's living room. There are multiple vintage gaming stations to choose from and with all seating being first come first serve. The menu is punny and creative. My friends and I attempted to visit this place recently, but unfortunately decided to leave due to the extremely rude and disrespectful behavior from the hostess at the front. When we arrived, there was a group of three ahead of us, which was completely fine. Once it was our turn, one of my friends made a lighthearted joke just to lighten the mood, that's simply his personality. The hostess immediately responded with a very dry attitude, which we brushed off at first. However, things only got worse from there. As we stood there waiting, multiple groups who arrived after us were suddenly being attended to first. She was checking their IDs, writing their names down on the iPad, and letting them in before us, even though we had clearly been waiting longer. We eventually approached her and asked why our IDs hadn't been checked or our names added yet. She responded by saying she had told us to wait in line, which never happened. None of us were ever directed to a line. From that point on, her tone became increasingly condescending and disrespectful. When I told her that she should speak to customers more respectfully, she mockingly grabbed her ear and said, "What? I can't hear you, it's loud in here," even though it was not loud at all. It felt extremely immature and unnecessary. She also made comments about being the "senior hostess," but honestly, that title means nothing if customers are being treated poorly. Everyone has bad days, but that does not justify taking it out on guests. My friends and I are not the type to complain or leave reviews, but the attitude and behavior we experienced were genuinely inappropriate and unprofessional. We ended up leaving without even going inside. Unfortunately we did not get her name. But she is a white female with blonde hair and glasses, wearing a pink and white Renaissance style outfit and distinctive floral inspired eyeliner makeup that went all the way to her hairline. I'll admit, I eventually became frustrated and felt the need to defend myself and my friends because of how we were being spoken to. Lol My girl friend brought me and all she said was "it's a cool spot to get drinks and go back in time." I was like "what? Count me in" the bartenders were so down to earth and talkative. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday around 8:00. We didn't make a reservation and didn't have to wait, just while the front entrance girl to check to make sure there was space for us. After she did her cute little entrance monologue she let us enter through the arcade machine, and I'm sucker for a fake out entrance :-) the entrance leads you to a spiral staircase that takes you down to the bar. It's a super cool spot, there's enough spaces for various parties to play different video/board games. We luckily got a spot at one of the couches but that area was definitely designed for a bigger party. The bartender was extremely friendly, very patient and professional, explained to us all the different drinks. We ordered the pacific cooler pouches and a charcuterie board because it was a deal they had. What a chill 90s themed Speakeasy! "My Friend's House" is located inside Redlands Public Market. The entrance is located where the arcade games are and just follow the signs to the entrance. Note: You need to go the website to get a reservation and check the hours of operation. We came here on a whim on a Saturday night. We were able to get an 8PM reservation. First impressions, the hostess was very friendly and personable. She checked IDs and went over the everything before we entered throughout the secret door and head to your friend's house. LOL. The whole set up is dope. They have chairs, stools, and couches all over. You really feel like you're hanging out in the basement with friends. They have OG video game consoles to play like the NES, N64, Atari, PS1 just to name a few. They got retro menus on a VHS box with drinks and limited food menu. There's a section to play darts as well and TVs all over. The 90s vibe was so nostalgic. The 90s movie posters, VHS tapes, and video games made me feel like a kid again. We had a blast! It can get a bit crowded and difficult to find some seats. The bar was pretty packed at the time we arrived. We ordered some drinks off the VHS tape "menu". My wife and I got the Zack Attack! and the My So Called Lychee. My sister and her husband had some other cocktails. All the drinks were great and the bartenders were some of friendliest and attentive staff. Overall, this hidden speakeasy was one of a kind in my book. As you can see from my pic we had the Adult "Lunchable". This is more about the whole experience than the specific food and drink. BTW, the "Lunchable" comes with 2 drink pouches: but your selection is limited to 3 different drinks, all fruity based. They were better than expected, but then again, it's all about the whole experience. They also have a full bar, and the other food options are a few pizza selections. As you can see in one of my pics, we played ATARI and PlayStation games. While I missed out on this during my childhood, the retro games were novel and fun for me. What a cool speakeasy bar! Making a reservation was simple on the OpenTable app. We were celebrating an award, and the hostess at the entrance was so excited for me; it was one of the highlights of my day! Walking down the stairs and into the bar was extremely immersive. Plenty of seating for all different group sizes and a big bar area. Lots of game options ranging from N64, PS1, Super NES, SEGA Genesis to cards and board games. If you play a game with controllers, you give the bartender your ID and you'll get it back when you turn them in. There's a fun assortment of cocktails, but they also have a full bar and can make just about anything. We got the Kowabunga Cooler and the Zach Attack, they were both very tasty. We also got the Adult Lunchable which came with two of the pouch drinks. It felt like a great value! The pouch drink flavors change so make sure to ask what they are. Ours were cherry limeade with rum. Overall, super nostalgic and cozy bar. Great vibe from all of the employees, and everyone down there was excited to hang out. Would totally recommend! At My Friend's House, they've captured the era rather well from the furniture, to the video game set ups, posters, and more. Not to mention, they have plenty of video games to play. Someone will meet you at the entrance to check IDs and direct you to the real entrance. Once downstairs you're totally transported to someone's grandmas basement. The menu is on a VHS tape, the music is all 90s and the decor is legit. The only food is pizza/pizza wheels and a cheese and cracker tray. I was so so excited when I heard about My Friends House through social media- and it lived up to the hype! The consoles, the card/board games, and even the fun drink names really matched with the interior to take me back to the 90s. I got the adult lunchables with the two alcoholic drink pouches which was honestly such a good deal for $35 (the pouches were STRONG too). Everyone had such a fun time playing and hanging around. Just beware that there is a 2 hour limit stay if its busy. One feedback I would say is if the management could let people know everyone in your party has to leave together- we didn't know until we were leaving a few minutes past 2 hours and one of my party mates really had wanted to stay longer so he had to chug his beer. Love this speakeasy! First visit and had a ton of fun! Immersive, Various Games, Delicious Drinks and Fun Environment. Two hour limit. The only downside was the other people... I'd rather pay to even enter and have less people. It's not super crowded, but you have to jump on a section or seating area if it becomes available. We sat in 1 section and played some video games, then moved to another table to play UNO and we wanted to go to the other corner that had a different video game but had people swoop in literally right in front of us to take it. So we waited but they took an hour here. Weren't playing any of the games - just photos of themselves. After an hour, we asked if there is a limit in certain areas to allow others to check everything out and they did say yes and they mentioned it to the group so they left and we had to rush in to sit there before another group - but told them we are out in about 30 and they can take it after us which they were cool with. We played some Mario Kart while enjoying our last drink and then left. Other people ca be a bit more courteous but there may need to be signage to just be respectful due to limited timing. read more

My party had the Big Grandma Energy, Konami Code, Care Bear Potion, My So-Called Lychee and the adult pouch drink *cough" adult Capri-suns *cough*. I was really impressed with the Konami code which was a spirit forward drink that was was also a super easy sipper. Vibes were on point with the period correct decor that made us feel like we were transported back to a homies house in the 90's. This concept bar is such a great idea and I can't give enough kudos to this establishment. I'm from L.A. and I don't think there is anything cool like this there. I'm always impressed with all the businesses I go to when I visit Redlands. We made a reservation through OpenTable. You might be able to do a walk-in, it just depends on how busy they are. A reservation does not mean you reserve one of the sofa or sitting areas that are not the bar. Those are up for grabs. You and your party also have 2 hours to hang out. Everything is done in 90s nostalgia, as if you're visiting your friend's basement, the music is a mix of pop, hip-hop, grunge, heavier on the pop side (think NSync, Backstreet Boys, and various hip hop). I was in my 20s during the 90s, so I was more partial to grunge and indie alternative. You can play games from the bar or at various cozy areas with sofas. The menu is so cute, presented as VHS cases. My favorite drinks are the spicy tequila CapriSun-inspired drink pouches, the Kowabunga Cooler, the Ginnifer Aniston, and the 9021-Rose. I still have yet to try the snacks. As a child during the 80s, I can confirm the decor is spot on, down to the knitted grandma blankets (it makes me wish I still had mine :'( and the wood panel walls.
