I loved this place!! Definitely recommend for a fun night out, the drinks were tasty and original, I also really appreciate their Mocktail offerings which did not feel limited at all. The amount of people they let in is great and never felt over crowded. We were able to play a variety of 90's games which was super fun. Would love to come back sometime soon.

What a chill 90s themed Speakeasy! "My Friend's House" is located inside Redlands Public Market. The entrance is located where the arcade games are and just follow the signs to the entrance. Note: You need to go the website to get a reservation and check the hours of operation. We came here on a whim on a Saturday night. We were able to get an 8PM reservation. First impressions, the hostess was very friendly and personable. She checked IDs and went over the everything before we entered throughout the secret door and head to your friend's house. LOL. The whole set up is dope. They have chairs, stools, and couches all over. You really feel like you're hanging out in the basement with friends. They have OG video game consoles to play like the NES, N64, Atari, PS1 just to name a few. They got retro menus on a VHS box with drinks and limited food menu. There's a section to play darts as well and TVs all over. The 90s vibe was so nostalgic. The 90s movie posters, VHS tapes, and video games made me feel like a kid again. We had a blast! It can get a bit crowded and difficult to find some seats. The bar was pretty packed at the time we arrived. We ordered some drinks off the VHS tape "menu". My wife and I got the Zack Attack! and the My So Called Lychee. My sister and her husband had some other cocktails. All the drinks were great and the bartenders were some of friendliest and attentive staff. Overall, this hidden speakeasy was one of a kind in my book. We all enjoyed hanging out, drinking some drinks and playing OG games. We'd come back if we find ourselves in this part of the IE. If you were a 90s kids, I think you'd have a great time here. Good times and good vibes here at "My Friend's House"! ( ^_^)b

Literally such an awesome spot! Make sure you get there early to be put on the waitlist or reserve on open table. Drinks are delish and all the games are so neat! Definitely a nice spot to hang out and play some old school games.

This is a super fun place to visit. I love the nostalgic decor, staff was friendly, drinks were good. There's a special with a shot and beer for like $13 or something. I ordered the pesto knots which has great flavor but I didn't taste any meat which is a bummer. There's a 2 hour time limit to be inside. I wish there was one of these close to where I live now (Temecula).

This is a speakeasy place ............... so go to their website (https://www.myfriendshousebar.com/ ) and follow the instructions. It's quite novel, once you get in. As you can see from my pic we had the Adult "Lunchable". This is more about the whole experience than the specific food and drink. BTW, the "Lunchable" comes with 2 drink pouches: but your selection is limited to 3 different drinks, all fruity based. They were better than expected, but then again, it's all about the whole experience. They also have a full bar, and the other food options are a few pizza selections. As you can see in one of my pics, we played ATARI and PlayStation games. While I missed out on this during my childhood, the retro games were novel and fun for me. We had a fairly good time snacking away and trying out the games. When it was time to move on we went to the basic dart board. It was definitely something different to do on date night.

    Bye bye bye!

We wanted to celebrate our coworkers birthday after work and decided to try this spot. I made reservations using open table. Someone will meet you at the entrance to check IDs and direct you to the real entrance. Once downstairs you're totally transported to someone's grandmas basement. The menu is on a VHS tape, the music is all 90s and the decor is legit. The only food is pizza/pizza wheels and a cheese and cracker tray. The prices are very fair, the bartender is great (drinks are NOT watered down). You really do have to leave after your 2 hours are up. Overall we had a great time.

What a cool speakeasy bar! Making a reservation was simple on the OpenTable app. We were celebrating an award, and the hostess at the entrance was so excited for me; it was one of the highlights of my day! Walking down the stairs and into the bar was extremely immersive. Plenty of seating for all different group sizes and a big bar area. Lots of game options ranging from N64, PS1, Super NES, SEGA Genesis to cards and board games. If you play a game with controllers, you give the bartender your ID and you'll get it back when you turn them in. There's a fun assortment of cocktails, but they also have a full bar and can make just about anything. We got the Kowabunga Cooler and the Zach Attack, they were both very tasty. We also got the Adult Lunchable which came with two of the pouch drinks. It felt like a great value! The pouch drink flavors change so make sure to ask what they are. Ours were cherry limeade with rum. Overall, super nostalgic and cozy bar. Great vibe from all of the employees, and everyone down there was excited to hang out. Would totally recommend! Only constructive comment to management: think of a way to make the entrance for wheelchair users/those with mobility impairments have an element of fun, too!

At first I honestly thought before going in, the space would be the highlight, but the staff really took the spot which is truly highly rare for a bar! They made the experience.. the experience. They were perfectly welcoming and helpful! When walking in we were greeted with excitement and were given the whole run down! Then once inside we were welcomed and were given a walk thru the menu! We saw lots of unique options for drinks by loved the fact we were asked what we loved and it was so helpful to get exactly what we wanted and drinks we didn't know that we wanted. Also the drinks were all perfectly mixed with just the right of sweetness and nostalgia! And the games, it can't name they all but if you just looked back at your childhood, yeah they got it

Hey friends! Soft opening of My Friend's House speakeasy tonight and you're gonna love it, especially you millennials! Get ready to feel like you've just entered your friends house for some music maybe some games and drinks some snacks and a great time! Its a speakeasy, so hopefully you get the opportunity find your way in vs someone showing you! They have really tasty drinks, made with the good booze and they have fun names. I'm not going to spoil this for you. The beer list isn't my favorite, but they are $6, so its a deal for a bar. But I liked both of the gin drinks on the menu. There are some snacks that come from the pizza place above. The little pizza pinwheels are VERY tasty and my crew loved the pizza. I skipped pizza that night. We were there for a soft opening to work out the kinks so it was fun putting together tips to submit, but overall, they have it pretty dialed in. Come hang out in your friend's basement where all of the families furniture remanants landed amongst other entertainment. Enjoy the tunes of the 90s. GO HERE. But don't look at the photos on Yelp if you want to be surprised!

We just had an amazing experience here tonight! We were mainly taken care of by Liz at the bar. Her drinks were amazing. We were nosy and saw that a party next to us asked her to surprise them for their next drink order and she just made up something on the spot. My wife and I had FOMO and asked to create the same drink. It was amazing. It had some tiki vibes and it was NOT on the menu. Of course we played some vintage console games right at the bar. Overall a great experience for a night out in Redlands!

Such a cute place. I love the nostalgia of everything. Definitely a blast to the past. I will come again. The entrance is a cute touch.

Such a cool 90s themed speakeasy. Although personal service is terrible - I wanted to book a birthday outing and it says on their page to speak to someone for large parties (I messaged here on yelp, called multiple numbers, left voice mails - and never got a response). So not sure how one is supposed to go about booking if no one ever replies. But the bar alone is really nostalgic and the drinks are great!

A amazing speakeasy in Redlands! This isn't your pretentious Downtown LA style joint with $30 drinks-- prices are reasonable and guess what? The drinks are damn delicious. My party had the Big Grandma Energy, Konami Code, Care Bear Potion, My So-Called Lychee and the adult pouch drink *cough" adult Capri-suns *cough*. I was really impressed with the Konami code which was a spirit forward drink that was was also a super easy sipper. Vibes were on point with the period correct decor that made us feel like we were transported back to a homies house in the 90's. There were old couches with plastic covers on them and some movie posters from the '90s and '80s. The PlayStation console had Tekken with all the characters unlocked We're looking forward to coming back here for drinks after dinner after the grand opening.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. That said, the space itself is smaller and more intimate, which could make it a nice date spot. I do think this place has potential, and I'd consider giving it another chance, hopefully with smoother service next time. Oh Beignets were amazing!! Yummy little donuts!

When we walked into this speakeasy, behind a movable shelf, I was greatly disappointed by the size of this place. It literally was the size of a walk in closet. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.

The catering, which I believe was done by an in-house husband and wife couple, was better than expected. The herb chicken, which my cousin said came highly- recommended, was tasty and juicy. The tri-tip was also solid, and cooked to medium as it should be. The wedding coordinator Katie, who came included with the venue, was amazing! My cousin, the bride, kept saying how great Katie was, and how helpful she was during the process. My cousin frequently remarked, "we trust her so much", which is great. Also, as a first time wedding officiant, she really made it easy for me. Also, Morgan the DJ, another venue provided vendor, was great to work with. The venue is on the second floor, which can be a challenge or an absolute deal breaker for some. They do have a chair lift though, which several of our attendees used to get upstairs. Parking could be a challenge, as the venue is located in historic downtown Redlands. According to my cousin, parking at the CVS was allowed, but I'd double check with the venue. We had a Friday night wedding, and I heard no complaints about parking. Thank you to the cast and crew at Speakeasy on State.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.
