It was our first time. We ordered the wings and loaded fries with brisket. I was craving buffalo wings. To my pleasant surprise they had a smoke house twang that I never knew I needed. My husband and I went to eat here for the first time, tonight. It was absolutely TERRIBLE. I ordered the 1 meat plate with 2 sides. I got the chicken, elote and fried okra. My chicken was literally so dry, it was like jerky. The elote (in a cup) was literally just corn with mayo, a sprinkle of seasoning and cilantro...no lime, no sauce, no Cotija cheese. My husband got the 2 meat plate with brisket, sausage, Mac n cheese and elote. He received 1 piece of brisket that was mushy, the sausage was under cooked, the Mac n cheese was flavorless, and you already know about the elote. We both left with upset stomachs, and I barely touched my food. Side note...the service was good and the pork skins and queso was fresh and good. read more

When it first opened and was just bbq we had a few decent visits. Their burnt ends were amazing. Lately we have been unimpressed. Tonight we ordered two sangria swirl margaritas, they tasted only of watered down tequila and were chunky, not blended smooth. They were $10 each which when the ones at Uncle Julio's are only $11 and are smooth and full of flavor it's just not worth the $ in comparison. The queso was bland with no poblano flavor and the chips were thick and rock hard. Immediately after the queso arrived mine and my daughter's food arrived. I had brisket tacos and elote. The tacos were fine. Wish they had more smoky flavor to them and could use more cilantro. The elote was ok but the corn was a bit overcooked and they really needed some cotija. My daughter ordered brisket by the 1/4 lb because there is no bbq option on the kids menu. She enjoyed it. After quite a while my husband got his combo plate. He liked the quesadilla but didn't really care for the filling in the flautas and the nachos were just ok. For $18 it was definitely not worth it. We ordered the banana pudding cheesecake. It was not a slice of flavored cheesecake but a styrofoam cup of banana pudding stirred together with cheesecake filling and covered in stale vanilla wafers. It tasted fine but when I order cheesecake I expect an actual slice of cheesecake. Nothing was disgusting but nothing was great. Very mediocre and quite overpriced. Service was very slow, food came out badly paced, drinks took a very long time and I never got the water I asked for. The waitress seemed like she was new to the industry. Ambiance is fine considering they are working with an old Taco Bell building. Tables were too close together for my liking, felt like we were packed in next to the people at the table behind us. All in all it was ok but I'll think twice before spending the $ there when I go out in the future. Maybe take out of strictly bbq dishes would still be good. read more

This is a small family owned restaurant with some good bbq. This is in an old Baha Mex location that closed down, and this family needs our business to keep them going. The smoke their meats in house for 12 hours or more. All the sides are made in house as is the BBQ sauce. The BBQ has a zest to it, I couldn't quite place what the ingredient was, but it wasn't sweet and full of molasses like KC bbq sauce is. The Boho beans were really good, pinto beans with small chunks of meat. The Mac n cheese was really good as well. Longer coiled noodles with the white queso on top. The burnt ends were good, didn't notice any real noticeable flavors from the rub. The brisket was soft and tender. The sausage links were real good with a slight bit of zip on the back end. I didn't taste much of the smokiness, but the meats were good, moist, and soft. The loaded fries, goodies, this was way more than expected, and the mix of flavors was exceptional. This wasn't with your normal fries, these were coil cut and somewhat thick, like twisted steak fries. Really good. Service was great, she was always by the table and checking on us. The lady was the daughter of the owner. We met the owner, he's a sweet man, very proud of his work and bragged that all everything was made in the kitchen and not sourced out. This is a place that's good and deserving of our business, I encourage others to go and try it out. read more

We just moved to Cleburne and have been trying out local restaurants. My wife and I ate here last night. The service was great and the food was excellent. My wife ordered the loaded bake potatoe and I got a sliced beef sandwich...both were 10 out of 10 with excellent pricing. Yes always great service and great food! The brisket, green beans with bacon, macaroni and cheese, sweet tea are all amazing! Also the tacos and queso are so yummy! My favorite place in the area!!! Great place, a little unconventional when it comes to a "restaurant" as the food is prepared in the food truck outside. However, who cares because the food is amazing! Came to eat here three times in the last month every time we have been very pleased with our meals. We have had the brisket and turkey combos both great, the Philly cheese sandwich our favorite so far and the brisket quesadillas which were also good. The sides are pretty good the hobo beans and the Mac and Cheese are our favorites. The burnet ends are also really good. Compared to most of the craft barbecue spots this one is as good if not better and a better value. Still have some other things we are looking forward to trying. read more

got a 2 meat plate to go for my husband brisket and sausage and there was no brisket when I got it home. my fault for not checking before I left. the waitress could not answer any questions on the drink menu and my baked potato had a plastic wrap on it under the foil. the Mac and cheese and green beans were very good. at end of the meal, my check and friends checks were both messed up. the place was clean and nicely laid out. read more
