I came to visit my sister when I came into town to get my sleeve tattoo. My sister recommended this place for lunch. It was next to her job and so it wasn't far for us to enjoy some great food together. For lunch I just ordered myself the Philly cheeses steak. It was delicious and the fries were cooked just right. Then my sister and I came back for breakfast the next day for day two of my tattoo work. And it was another amazing fulfilling event for us both. The staff are very awesome, attentive, and work together to make sure they provide a great service to their customers. The ambiance is small town country feel. I enjoyed this restaurant a lot. Pros: Location - It is tucked just off the main road which makes it easy to find and convenient to access whether you are a local or simply passing through Price - The pricing is more than fair, especially considering the portion sizes and the scratch made quality of the food. You get a true value driven dining experience rather than inflated big city prices Quantity - Portions are generous without feeling overdone. Plates are filled with enough food to leave you satisfied, and in many cases you will have leftovers to take home Cons: Flies - The country setting brings a challenge with flies occasionally making their way into the dining area. Super simple breakfast and fast service! Got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich with some hashbrowns and it was good. The biscuit was soft and an everything was tasty. The lovely ladies that helped me were Priscilla and Terri, super sweet and made the overall experience memorable and added to the atmosphere. I live in the North Dallas area near the high five. 2 months later I left early from work and picked up my buddy and trekked 1 hour and 50 minutes to get there on a Thursday night for their BBQ buffet. It was the best 18.99 I've ever spent. The food was delicious, the buffet and restaurant was very clean. If you are borderline diabetic you may want to get a diet coke, because their sodas are served in 32 oz cups. I must have drank a gallon of root bear. I ordered takeout for lunch and got a patty melt with fries. It did not disappoint. Their food always hits the spot. Every restaurant has their own little spin on a patty melt and I like Chisholm's because it's not too greasy and it's very meaty. If you prefer a lot of grilled onions, go ahead and add extra when you place your order. The only thing that I think could make this better is if they came up with their own special sauce, kind of like they have for their Philly cheesesteak. read more

I've been wanting to go to Chisholm's for a while. I was finally back out in Texas and made a point to go to Godley and check it out. Even though I made it there near the end of lunch time, the buffet was well stocked, and I was able to get plenty of food. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The food was extremely delicious. We hosted a surprise birthday lunch for my dad at Chisolm's on Sunday 4/12/26 and it was perfect! I made a reservation a week in advance and they had everything ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The food was delicious (all-you-can-eat chicken fried steak, salad bar, sides and dessert)...and they kept the buffet replenished on a busy Sunday. Is a good option if you want to stay in town. Only very few options to eat but I wouldn't choose to drive to eat here if other options available. Food is really sweet and really salty. Lots of food items taste like can not fresh like the green beans. The service is great, the home made pie tasted like canned lemon and cool whip. So there is good options and others not so great. Me & my wife went one night while in town, the atmosphere & the staffs were excellent no complaints or fault there. The food for the most part was good except for the beef burnt ends, those were not beef that was pork. I don't like to eat pork & this was a smoked pork belly, beef is not that pale pink! When i brought it to my waiter's attention he said no it's beef, in my shock I was like ok then. Even the taste & texture was definitely pork, I have been grilling & smoking meats since I was 20, I know smoked pork when I see it & taste it, that was not beef!
