Absolutely Outstanding Dining on the Square - Christina's Never Disappoints! Christina's has become one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Granbury. The location right on the square is perfect, and the ambiance is warm and inviting, ideal for a special night out or a celebratory dinner. The food is consistently excellent. The Chilean sea bass is a standout, perfectly cooked every time. The seared scallops are wonderful, with a beautiful crust and tender inside. I've had the salmon multiple times and it's always nicely seared on the outside and wonderfully tender and flaky. For appetizers, the pear & Brie crostini is a must-order sweet, savory, and absolutely delicious. Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but the quality, presentation, and service more than justify it. This is a busy spot (especially on weekends), so reservations are highly recommended. From start to finish, everything about Christina's feels special. Attentive service, beautiful plates, and food that tastes like it was made with care. If you're in Granbury, make the time to eat here -- you won't regret it. Stepping in here is a bit like stepping back in time. It's cute! We split the lobster grilled cheese! Never had this before. Especially tasty! Came with some homemade chips. Also tasty! Outstanding!!! We were directed here by a local shopkeeper. We snagged an 11:30 reservation (highly recommended). Upscale, but not stuffy. Big brunch / lunch crowd. My wife had the Quiche Lorraine....said it was excellent. I'm a sucker for shrimp and grits and I've had them in S. Carolina, Alabama and New Orleans, but these were the best!! Generous portion of perfectly cooked shrimp atop creamy, savory grits (not too much cheese). Perfection!! Our server Luke ("like the Bible"), did a great job. If you like S&G, you must try these. Stopped in for late night bite to eat, and sat at the bar. Great bartenders working that night. Ordered a manhattan and it was perfect! Breezed the menu and ordered the Salmon pastor. While waiting for my food, one of the bartenders food came out..I inquired what he ordered. The lobster and sausage pasta, looked yummy. He insisted that I try it, I declined. It was very thoughtful of him to offer but I didn't want to eat his meal, besides I just ordered food. He insisted, and took a small plate and put some pasta and shrimp and sausage on it and placed it on the bar next to me with a fork...and insisted I try it. How could I say no....it was amazingly delicious! I will order it next time I'm here. Note he had added grilled shrimp to it. Then my food came out, visually a feast already, and the first bite was heaven. Perfectly cooked salmon with a grilled pineapple on top of garlic rice. Accompanied by a couple of pieces of asparagus. Hi everyone! Christina is another little gem I happened upon recently. It is in the historic old-town area of Granbury. Actually situated on the ground floor of a 100 year old hotel. Very nice atmosphere. Christina's was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday afternoon. I highly suggest reservations. Despite how busy they were, the service was friendly and very prompt. The food here was very good and really well presented. I started with a bowl of incredibly well prepared mushroom soup. I promise, none went to waste. For my lunch, I had shrimp and grits. My husband and I found this restaurant on a whim on a family trip to Granbury! It was excellent! The wait was shorter than the hostess originally told us which we always appreciate. I tried the ginger mocktail and it was delicious. You have to try the crab cakes! I'm not being dramatic when I say that they were the best crab cakes I've ever eaten. This is a nice restaurant on the square in Granbury that serves a great brunch. My wife had the breakfast sandwich which was served on a jalapeno bagel. It had bacon, turkey, and havarti cheese on it and served with a side of crispy potatoes. I tried some and it was a top notch breakfast sandwich. For my entree I had the Great Kate and was very pleased with my choice. It was two fried chicken thighs served in top of a homemade biscuit, with sausage gravy and hollandaise sauce covering that. Wow! I was a little leery of the hollandaise sauce going into it, but my motto is to eat the meal how the chef serves it... I don't ever ask for alterations. The service was excellent- a few minutes after we sat down at our table the server was there to take our drink order....on a very busy Sunday!! Highly recommend you get a reservation. I placed reservation the day before and they text me back almost immediately with the available times since we were celebrating my husband's birthday. The atmosphere was inviting, energetic, and upbeat. They offer formal dinning to sitting at the bar seating. Went for my birthday dinner recently, first time since they relocated. It was enjoyable. We had a table that started out cozy and quiet, which is what we like. Unfortunately, as the evening continued it got so loud that we could barely hear each other speak. I wish that hadn't been the case, we'd have stayed for another drink after the meal. It also was quite chilly in the room! However, the food was lovely, drinks on point and our server was great. We will be back, but hopefully can fine a more peaceful spot. read more

If you're around Granbury and you're looking for a place so full of its own false self-virtue that it can't see the light of day, because they couldn't afford space in Dallas or Fort Worth, then Christina's is this for you! The experience starts with the hostesses who seem to think they are working in a Michelin starred establishment. Then the disappointment moves into the dining experience. Poorly cut steaks, and items you'd find in a Cotton Patch cafe. All at a price point that screams "we are in a hotel in Granbury who thinks it is the Beverly Hilton, just minus the money, service, and accoutrements." The difference being that the restaurants in Beverly Hills actually live up to the expectations, and even they aren't so full of themselves. The experience does not even come close to living up to its price and value proposition. Save yourself the time and drive into Fort Worth or Dallas to dine at a nicer establishment that's worth the money and more in-line with the advertised expectation. Most notably, it is no longer a retail shop, just a restaurant, with a small bar. Wow. I travel a lot for work and always try to enjoy local recommendations. I was NOT prepared for this. Steak tartare was great. Chips were crisp and not greasy. Tartare was a little to cornichon forward for my taste, but the jalapeño provided a good balance. Old Fashioned was mixed generously and still balanced. Beef short rib was legit one of the best thing I've eaten this year. Fall apart, still with some chew and perfectly seasoned. Polenta was a great compliment and cooked perfectly as well. Christina's American Table is one of those places that just never misses. The food's always incredible, the service is even better, and you can tell everyone there genuinely cares about their guests. Their brunch menu is full of great options, but the chicken avocado melt on their jalapeño bread is hard to beat. The tomato basil soup is amazing, and the chicken salad sandwich is another solid go-to (the half-and-half combo is a great way to go). And if you haven't tried the quiche from the à la carte menu, you're missing out. Atmosphere is good but it was loud with the wood floors and people pulling their chairs for the price point it was hard to carry on a convo. Be sure to make a reservation if possible as this place fills up quickly. We went on Thursday at 6:30pm and it was hopping! Our waiter Lee was phenomenal. my wife and I went to Christina's Sunday for brunch. It was incredible. She had scallop and asparagus. Benedict. I had poached eggs and pesquto eggs Benedict with a sign of Yukon Gold potatoes. Honestly, it was probably one of the best breakfast I ever ate. My wife was simply overcome also with the flavor of the dish. The service was impeccable and the prices were reasonable for brunch. They had so many dishes that I didn't actually know which one to try first. I had had the prime rib hash. And I had had the great cake before. I also had had the chicken and waffles.. The new location is pretty...maybe not the rustic, antique look of the other location, which I absolutely LOVED...the wood floors, the gorgeous bar area...but I'm certain the new kitchen is so much better able to handle the crowds. And speaking of the crowds...oh my...the noise level...just deafening. So while the food is A M A Z I N G, we had prime rib with braised greens and substituted grits for the potatoes and a salad and a cup of French onion soup, the noise is almost more than we can handle.
