Happy hour was EXCELLENT! Our server at the bar was great. We ordered several apps and had some cocktails and wine. Everything was awesome - we will return!

This was such a great option for Happy Hour during a recent girls trip to Napa! Standout service, wonderful food, and gorgeous cocktails. SERVICE: Our waitress was awesome, she was able to look at a recipe on our phone and craft a cocktail that was so incredible! I felt very taken care of throughout our experience. FOOD: I loved the taro chips that came with the guacamole. Such a unique addition to what is otherwise a simple appetizer. We also ordered the happy hour nachos. I found the queso to be slightly underwhelming but the pickled onions and other toppings definitely made up for this. DRINKS: In addition to the custom cocktail, our table also ordered the "guava cup" which was not too sweet. I had a non-alcoholic drink (iced tea): perfectly refreshing. I would definitely come back during their Happy Hour to try more drinks and maybe a taco. I do find this on the pricier side, as it's right in downtown. Parking isn't impossible, there's public lots 2-3 blocks away that allow for 2 hours of free parking.

This place is a true gem! Came for a girls trip- started off here for happy hour and stayed for dinner. The food and service is incredible!

It was 5pm on July 4th, and all of downtown Napa was quiet, streets were empty. We were grateful Chispa was open, making our table of 4 one of 3 tables filled in the entire restaurant. Staff was so nice and friendly. We chose a table outside since it was a beautiful afternoon. 3 of us had the Guava Cup cocktail and it was refreshing, kinda Mai tai vibes. We were curious of the Iguana Juice because of the guanabana, but it was currently 86'd so we'll have to try it next time. Calamari- light, crispy Ceviche - light, refreshing Pastor tacos - bright, flavorful Baja fish tacos - airy, crispy (something on the pickled cabbage was off putting) Crab roll - creamy, buttery Churros - yummy Portions are very small, order a lot if sharing.

Enjoyed a dinner date on a Wednesday night and loved the experience. It was open seating and not too busy as we showed up around 6pm. You can make reservations in advance which helps if it does get busy. We started with a round of cocktails - many are tequila or mezcal based and they are very creative! Then we split an order of guacamole with taro chips, followed by an order of Al pastor tacos and pork belly lettuce wraps. All in all it was delicious!

Always a great time. The music is a vibe. We try something new each time we've come and everything is always so delicious! They make the taro chips fresh daily and they are sooo good! I don't know what the salsa verde mole was but we scraped the plate clean, it was that flavorful! And the churros are a must!!

We came here on a whim Saturday night after trying to make 7:00pm reservations (which was all booked). We walked in and were able to get a high top table near the bar immediately. There were plenty of tables available so don't be afraid to walk in if your preferred eating time isn't available for reservations online. We enjoyed the food and the cocktails. The ceviche was fresh and the accompanying chips were crispy and went well with the ceviche. The calamari was good, and the steak was good but like another Yelper mentioned.... The "cooked" chimichurri doesn't really pair well with the steak. I think it would taste a lot better if the steak was topped with a fresh chimichurri instead. The service was great and the vibe is perfect for a date night or a dinner out with friends. Centrally located near other establishments if you want to gallivant around town and grab after dinner drinks elsewhere. I plan to come back for happy hour next time!

Happy hour house margaritas and $3 oysters!!

Chispa was a stop on our pedal bus experience and we were so glad it was! When we got there, it was happy hour so we definitely took advantage of the $3 oysters and $10 house margaritas. We sat at the bar and got to watch the bartenders work their magic. Now this place was chic and modern, the decor was beautiful and we were told a private party was about to happen after our group left. With the many options of intimate seating, bar top, and indoor and outdoor tables, we can easily see how you'd want to host an event there. We can't wait to come back and enjoy this spot more next time we're in Napa.

Our Sunday afternoon took us to Chispa for drinks and bites. It was not as crowded as I have seen in past so we were served promptly. We tried the ceviche, fish tacos and seafood croquettes. I definitely would order the ceviche next time. Oh the margarita was also good and strong. It was a one and done for me. I would bring my girlfriends here next time. Cool spot in downtown Napa.

My friend and I wanted some cocktails and something light for dinner, and she had been trying to get to Chispa for some time. We absolutely loved the decor, stylish and comfortable with a little art deco flair to it. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive. My friend had a classic margarita and I enjoyed a mezcal old fashion - highly recommend. Would love to go back and have one of their entrees, everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious.

Really wanted to like this tequila bar. Interior is tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, the cocktails were not very good...the green one in the photo tasted medicinal, perhaps too much cilantro. Thought maybe it was just mine but tasted the other one in our party and it was also disappointing. Then ordered their special old fashioned with mole. It was marginally better. Maybe the food here is good, but wouldn't go back for drinks.

Came on a Sunday night to hang with my girls and had some great drinks and great bites! The interior is super cute! Nice, clean, and elegant (but not to the point where you look out of place if you come in some jeans). I love how the bar is central where guests are seated. Their drink menu had some good variety to it. Among the fave cocktails ordered were the Side Eye and the Guava cup. We also did a round of their Chispacho shooters, which I sadly and immediately regretted once we took them. As far as food goes, I was actually pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much, but everything we ordered was pretty good and went well with our cocktails. We got the guac and queso (which you obviously can never go wrong with), an order of calamari, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the oyster mushrooms (so umami!!). The service was fantastic. They were attentive, speedy, and so entertaining to our table. I forget what our server's name was but they were great! No complaints at all!

"Tequila, Tails & Taste ... Chispa, You've Got My Heart (and Wallet)" Let's just say this: Chispa is dangerously close to my home, and by "dangerous," I mean dangerous to my wallet but oh-so-worth every sip. This place checks every single box I care about ... amazing tequila, flavorful food, killer ambiance, and a patio where my pup is welcome. Instant five stars from this dog mom. From the moment I walked in, I felt the vibe. The ambiance inside and out is effortlessly cool, warm lighting, great energy, and a layout that says, "Stay awhile... or maybe all night." And let's talk about the bar staff --- wow. These bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Whether you're a tequila connoisseur or just here for something smooth and citrusy, you're in excellent hands. Every drink I had was bold, balanced, and honestly, a little too easy to sip. We ordered the calamari, which surprised me in the best way ... crispy, flavorful, and not your average throwaway appetizer. It held its own and set the tone for a solid food experience I can't wait to explore more of. As someone with a deep appreciation for tequila and tail wags, Chispa stole my heart. Good drinks, good people, dog-friendly vibes--what more can you ask for? Four paws down, five stars up ... Cheers, Chispa. I'll be back soon. Too soon. Probably tomorrow.

Think maybe lime/ginger sparkling water with just a hint of spice. Refreshing and different for sure. I also tried the Mucha Lucha w/ cilantro infused Siete Leguas Blanco, chorizo infused mezcal and cubes made of hot sauce that make the drink have a bit more of a kick as you allow them to melt. I did the HH chips and guac which was also accompanied with a tasty Chipotle sauce. Damn good actually. It'd be excellent served in a variety of ways. The deviled eggs aren't going to blow your mind, but I like that you get 4 different ones- and simply because I love eggs, I'd order them again. (They just wouldn't be a dish that brings me back). The bartender was great- helpful and attentive, even as more people began to filter in for an early afternoon. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Napa to check out some other menu options.

Conveniently located near several downtown staple stops, it's an easy addition to an afternoon or evening exploring the area. The cocktail menu is extensive, with plenty of creative options and stories behind many of the drinks. For my fellow gin cocktail girlies, I'd recommend starting with the Bronx Cocktail. For round two, the Bee's Sneeze is another solid choice. I paired my drinks with the lobster roll, which was the standout food item of my visit. The bun was light, fluffy, and perfectly toasted. While the lobster salad wasn't the best I've ever had, it was a very solid bite for a dive-lounge-style bar. I'd skip the chips it comes with, but the fries are absolutely worth ordering. One small service hiccup worth mentioning: the fries are listed as coming with a herb aioli, but mine arrived with ketchup. When I asked about the aioli, my server initially tried to play it off before eventually sharing that they were out. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but it was an odd interaction that could have been handled more directly. The atmosphere is a dark, casual lounge with a cozy hole-in-the-wall feel along the river. The staff was welcoming. If you're looking to trade wine tasting for a cocktail side quest, The Fink is definitely worth a visit.

This place is a new favorite of mine…read more I think as I go to more and more Tiki Bars, I really gravitate to the ones that have more unique drinks. I make drinks at home. I've had a traditional Mai Tai a million of times. Do you have Tiki Drinks that are going to make me want to drive 45 minutes to you? On top of that, is your food worth it? I'm happy to say that the answer to both of these questions are yes. I've gone here 3 times within the last two weeks and one item that is a constant order is the Orange Chicken. Nowadays I think people are used to the classic super sweet Panda Express style Orange Chicken that you'll also see occasionally at your local Chinese food restaurant. Wilfred's Orange Chicken definitely is sweet but its not as sweet as what I used to and I'm not mad about it. There's a lot of depth with the sauce. I don't know if they are just putting more soy sauce or dark soy sauce...Maybe it's Oyster/Fish sauce? Theres definitely some kind of extra Umami going on. An added plus is that it pair perfectly with the tanginess of the Pineapple Fried Rice. For drinks my favorites have been the Manta Ray and the Sanfroyosko. The reason being is just because these have been the more unique ones that I've been really enjoying. The Manta Ray is more tropical than one might think. However it's tropical with a bit of funk. The combination of the Gin, Falernum, and Sauv Blanc Syrup really add to the complexity. The other drink I really like is the Sanfroyosko. If you are a Mai Tai lover, this is the one to try. The substitution of the typical tums with the Shochu, Sake and Pisco add even more of a Wine and floral flavor profile to the drink. On top of that the Sesame Orgeat gives and even more nuttier flavor than normal. But despite all these flavors going on, it still kinda tastes like a Mai Tai. The service has always been amazing. Every person who has served us has served us with a smile. But even despite how friendly they are, there still remains this sense of professionalism with their interactions. They check in at the perfect times. They ask how we are enjoying everything and share their favorite things to drink/eat. Here is everything we sampled Spam fries - breaded and deep fried, placed in a spam can for presentation, it was piping hot, slight crunch for anyone that has not sampled this before let us just say it is different good deep fried pickles - if I see this on the menu I try it wherever it is offered, the pickles did not have a snap, tasted old, dipping sauce on side was ok but the pickles sadly did not taste fresh natsubi - fancy musubi with spam just added furikake and drizzled with sauce on the smaller side but it was decent smash burger - made with two patties regular hamburger bun, not sure why but both patties were dry and overly burnt, less then a 3rd of the burger was finished by my son saying they messed this up bad, my daughter ordered same thing had less then a bite saying it was to burnt to eat wife had the teriyaki salmon plate, for the most part had a nice glaze and tasted good my kids who really don't like fish picked off my wifes plate both saying it was good we ordered several drinks to wash down all their dislikes lol for the kids non-alcoholic and for us alcoholic Manta Ray - several alcohols in this drink it was strong and good, definitely order this Ube-Bae-Baby - pineapple, coconut, ube this was made well I would order this again Banana Dreams - banana, grapefruit, lime, pineapple this was also flavorful I would order this again Pagan Ritual - i could taste the rum but not sure what else was added but I would also order this again of the 4 drinks the presentation of the manta ray and pagan ritual were really well done, put those on your instagram feed again for the food I would not eat here again but for the drinks, ambiance and liveliness of the place definitely a place you want to experience for yourself food ** pass on the food price $$$ service ***** top notch service, helpful staff, friendly staff ambiance ***** been to my share of tiki bars location for this one is spot on, it was open and very visible based on looks alone from other restaurants in the area

Steak frites: steak was meh but perfect medium rare. Fries were deliciously crispy for steak fries 2. Fried chicken sandwhich: very mid 3. Chicken wings: I did dry rub with the sauces on the side. I liked the ranch with the umami, but im not a fan of the smoked chicken. 4. Burrata: mid 5. Poke tostadas: best thing I've had on their menu and they don't have it anymore. I wanted to cry when they told me 6. Salted caramel pudding with shortbread pieces and macadamia nuts, hold the nuts: absolutely delicious dessert, very sweet! 7. Smash burger: pretty good. I'd get two patties next time Drinks 1. Float the River: hold the grapefruit. It was boozy s as heck 2. Dirty Shirley: decent 3. Cucumber drink: This was an off menu drink they used to make for me and then stopped making it. Maybe they ran out of cucumber? Idk. But bring them back! Wow I really been coming here for a minute. Love the vibes. Great spot to watch the World Cup games. They welcome dogs. Sometimes they bring my pup treats, sometimes not. I appreciate when they do.

From the outside it doesn't look like a garden or even a beer garden but this place is a full on sports bar. The US mens national team was playing at noon for the world cup but we showed up at 10:30 am. The owner told us he was stressed because the whole place was reserved and packed for the game which wasn't very welcoming. The servers looked extremely busy so we kept having to ask whoever ran by for something we needed. The food, thankfully , was spectacular. I had the biscuit breakfast sandwich no cheese with sausage and I wish I could have fit another in my stomach. The biscuit was huge and flaky and tender and the eggs were fluffy. I shared it with my kid with a side of tots and it was scrumptious. I asked for the aioli on the side but it was lemony with a spicy kick. I hadn't had something like that but it was a nice fresh creamy taste with the tots and sandwich.
