First, let's start with the positives. It looks beautiful inside and the vibes are good. Also the drinks are good. We ordered for starters the torta flight and the mole wings. The flight was good, at least two of them were. The one with lots of tomatoes and onions was alright. But nothing special. The nice thing about the tortas is one is sweet, one is classic ham torta, and one is marinated pork. The mole wings were incredibly dry and the sauce on wings was baked on but dry. They needed a sauce on the side or something. They lacked a lot of flavor, I would not recommend or order. For dinner we ordered the chile reyano tacos and quesabirria. Best thing on the menu was the chili reyano tacos. Great flavor and shrimp were cooked great. The rice that came with it was very dry tho and the limes with the dish had no juice, also very dry. It was very clear that the rice had been cooked earlier and sat under a heat lamp. As for the quesabirria, it honestly didn't impress me. The flavor was lacking overall. It tasted better with the consome but still wasn't great. If you take the overall food quality with the price, I would say it's not worth it. Also they messed up on our drink order and I asked them what did they want to do with the drink, and the woman said if they left on the table it's ours and don't worry. Then a few mins later they came back and said they needed to take the drink or we would be charged. It was so bizzare and usually if the restaurant messes up, good customer service is to leave the wrong drink at the table, or take off the drink or something for the inconvenience. Very weird. Service was honestly mid. We asked for water several times. I wouldn't come back here unless maybe for the drinks and the chili reyano tacos read more

This place is delicious... and the cocktails are truly phenomenal. My husband and I managed to get in with out a reservation (definitely make one if you're planning ahead) and the service and experience was wonderful. We sat at the bar and watched Anthony and Chris work their magic with cocktails. They're truly made with care! They're unique and delicious. I felt discriminated against during my experience at the restaurant. We waited approximately two and a half hours, which was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. We even tried to follow up and confirm where we were in line, and we spoke with someone who was apparently the manager. Unfortunately, all he could say was "sorry," without providing any real explanation, assistance, or solution. What made the situation even more upsetting was that we were left waiting for such a long period of time without clear communication or updates. We were respectful and patient throughout the entire experience, but we felt ignored and treated unfairly. At this point, the way the situation was handled left us feeling as though we were being discriminated against and that our concerns were not being taken seriously. I believe customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of who they are, and management should take concerns like this seriously. Overall a really enjoyable experience. The host was fantastic, very warm and welcoming, and took the time to make sure we understood the menu. We also arrived about 30 minutes early for our reservation and they accommodated us right away, which we really appreciated. Service was a little slow, but it seemed like there was only one server covering tables. There were about four bartenders and several SA's, and it definitely looked like everyone helps each other out, which was nice to see. The space itself is a little tight, but the aesthetics are really lovely and it has a great vibe. Food-wise, the duros destruidos was my favorite dish of the night, with the carne en su jugo coming in as a close second. The aguachile con amor was okay, but it left a lot to be desired flavor-wise and wasn't spicy at all. The drinks were all super fun and really yummy, which definitely added to the experience. Wow, wow, wow! I was so impressed by the attention to detail this business has. From the moment that you check-in and walk in. Truly an experience. The theme "Día de los Muertos" is imbedded in every inch of the establishments. From the drink descriptions, decor, dishes, napkins, cocktail presentation, furniture, quotes, scents, music selection, and all. You name it! Staff were amazing and very kind. We did not have a reservation, but with a wait, we were able to squeeze in. Food looked delicious, but we specifically went for a dinner cocktail. Perfect spot! Hope to see more tequila options soon. A highly anticipated dinner reservation with an underwhelming delivery. I love La Cheve so I was expecting a similar quality but Con Amor fell short. Located in downtown the prices are also steep for what it is. It's a cozy restaurant with great decor and outside seating. We were seated quickly in the inside dining area as we arrived. We ordered the following: Flautas Ahogadas ($24.95) which were 4 chicken flautas with lettuce, sour cream, and green salsa. Ahogadas translates to drowning but they were more on the dry side and definitely needed more salsa and sour cream. I used the salsa macha (oil based) that was at the table to give it more of a spice. Mini Torta Flight ($21.00) was probably the most underwhelming dish for the price. Bread was soft but it lacked more filling. There was one with ham, one with chicharrones in green sauce (which I recognized from La Cheve and was delicious) and a cajeta one. I did love the concept of two savory ones and a sweet one. Enchilada Stack with steak ($35.95) was the best dish we ordered. The flavors were all there and the steak was thinly chopped and well seasoned. Aguachiles con Amor ($22) were a little misleading because the sauce was a beet based and nowhere on the menu did it say anything about it. So we were surprised when it was on the sweeter side rather than the spicier side. Drinks were fun and delivered in cute cups but the drinks themselves were just okay. Overall, service was good and food was okay. I'm not sure if I'd go back anytime soon. I would wait for the menu to change a bit before giving it another chance. read more

Great food and wonderful service! This is a small and intimate restaurant so I'd recommend keeping your part small and making a reservation to avoid any potential wait times. I think every staff member we interacted with were friendly, provided food and drink recs, filled and refilled our waters, and just provided a great experience overall. We shared some ceviche which we did think needed a touch more lime juice and maybe some salt. But my gorditas were filling and a large portion! They were on the spicy side so I make sure you're okay with spice before ordering. My finance enjoyed the birria which was both of our favorite bites of the night. It isn't on the menu every day, so when you see it on the weekend, make sure to get it! read more

I had a very disappointing experience here. We waited 2.5 hours, and during that time I called multiple times with no answer. When I went inside to ask what was going on, the girl at the front was rude and dismissive from the beginning. I asked to speak with a manager, but no one was available to help. I was told the long wait was because of the waitlist, yet during the time we were waiting, I personally saw at least two couples come in after us and leave before us. I understand restaurants can get busy, but 2.5 hours with poor communication, unanswered calls, and rude customer service is unacceptable. Very disappointing experience and definitely not how customers should be treated. read more

Late post...Con Amor with Mi Amor. Loved the experience. Cinthya was so welcoming and great. Their drinks honor those who have passed. I had the Ultimo Mensaje-the last message. They give you a pen and there is a tag on the drink to leave a message for a loved one who has passed. My husband had the Paso Al Mas Alla-a step beyond or step into afterlife. His drink came in a boot cup. We ordered the salsas and got it with chicharron and chips. Good flavors, guacamole was delicious. I ordered the taco and my hubby ordered the Aguachile. My taco was wrapped in a naan like tortilla. It was good. Chicken was seasoned well, with bits of pineapple throughout. The chips that came with it, was light and crispy. My husband's aguachile was refreshing. The shrimp was good. We both enjoyed eating outside. The weather was perfect. We look forward to trying other dishes. We didn't know it was by reservation and so outside seating is first come first serve. So glad we got to experience the delicious food and awesome service. Okay, Napa just got a whole lot spicier! This adorable new Mexican spot next to Quilt & Co. has been ALL over our feeds, and honestly, the hype is 100% real. We spotted it on social media, made a reservation immediately, and zero regrets were had. The staff was incredibly friendly, and fellow diners were practically tripping over themselves to give us recommendations (love that energy!). I ordered the Cajun A la Mexican appetizer, which, let's be honest, was basically a full meal disguised as a starter. Shrimp, corn, potatoes... it was an absolute flavor party and I devoured every bite. The food and drink presentations are so gorgeous you'll want to photograph everything before you eat it. Con Amor is such a lovely spot! Everything was beautiful and beyond delicious. We came by on Sunday specifically for the birria, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the birria plate and the popizza--both were 10/10. Since it was Mother's Day, they went above and beyond with little touches like a rose, charms, and even an extra drink that was prepared by mistake. Was in Napa for a concert, stumbled across this place after the show for some late night food and drinks and thank god we found it! We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Parker. This guy has to be the best bartender in town, we asked him to make us some surprise cocktails and watching him put these things together was like watching Da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa. Might be the best cocktails we've ever had. Next came the food and that equally blew us away. The stacked enchiladas were full of potatoes and cheese, it was like a Mexican lasagna of deliciousness. The torta sampler came with 3 different tortas, one Pastor, Ham and Dulce de leche. All 3 were so good we almost ordered another round. We can't wait to return! Very disappointing experience. The food and drinks were below average and not worth the price. The music selection was also terrible--mostly oldies playing all night, which created a dull atmosphere. Even one of the waitresses agreed that the music needed improvement. The staff seemed more focused on cleaning and closing up than making guests feel welcome and enjoy their time. We visited to celebrate a friend's birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was poor and resulted in a ruined occasion. While we enjoyed the horchata and Jamaica lemonade, the food lacked flavor and did not meet the standards we expected for the price. The alcoholic drinks were not good either in our opinion. The dining area felt cramped and uncomfortable. Our primary concern, however, was the service. Despite being aware of the time limit from our reservation email, we were reminded of our departure time multiple times--once before we were even seated and again with 30 minutes remaining. The staff also repeatedly attempted to clear our plates while we were still eating. For a bill close to $200 for three people, the level of service and food quality was unacceptable. We had such a great experience at Con Amor! From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with great music and a lively, inviting atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a fun night out. Our server, Alexis, along with the bartender and the rest of the staff, were incredibly friendly and attentive, they truly made us feel taken care of throughout the entire meal. The food was amazing. The ceviche de chicharrón was my absolute favorite, fresh, flavorful, a great twist to the traditional ceviche.. We also ordered the tacos de chile relleno, which were absolutely delicious. As we were taking a walk we decided to try this place out. It is a new restaurant and it was grand opening weekend for them. They asked us if we had reservations which we did not but got to do a walk in and got seats outside since I was a beautiful day. The service was kinda slow which I guess to be expected since they are a new establishment. After waiting a while a nice young lady greeted us with her beautiful smile. She was very polite and took us through the menu. As we were looking through the menu I noticed that the menu was beautifully decorated. We ordered a few drinks, appetizer and 2 things off the menu. We had a bloody Maria and a La Coronela de Juventina both drinks were really good. We had the Mini Torta flight it was so yummy I would definitely get this again it came with 2 savorys and 1 dessert looking one. The two entrees we decided on was the Quesabirrias and the Taco Arabe. I was slightly disappointed in both items the meat was very dry. I know it's a new restaurant so I'll give them a 2nd chance and give them one more try. We are huge fans of the La Cheve and we were looking forward to checking out their new spot. But we were slightly disappointed. Here are a few highlights *the decor is beautiful, loved all the details *the staff was very welcoming, we had a reservation and were taking back fairly quick *we were seated at the bar and it took some time for someone to take our order. * I ordered a drink called La Teresota, it was a tequila drink with some foam ontop- not the best cocktail on the menu. *we ordered the mole wings and the gorditas. The rice that came with the gorditas had no flavor, the gorditas seemed to be over fried and the chicharrones were over cooked. My friend ordered the flautas and it came with no salsa and barely any sour cream. When she asked the bartender for more salsa he said the only thing they had was an oil based one. This place has a lot of potential and hopefully they use the feedback to make some improvements. It is fairly small but cozy. Seems like if you are seated in the dining area you get better service than the bar. I don't know that I would go back, I think I'll continue going to La Cheve instead. read more

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The food, drinks, and customer service were all top tier. We tried the Cajun à la Mexicana, Quesabirria Taco Meal, and the Trio de Salsa con Chicharrón, and every bite was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. For drinks, we ordered Los Compadres, La Luchadora, and La Llorona. Each cocktail was unique, well balanced, and delicious. We sat at the bar and our bartender/server was extremely attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. All hype and no substance. They're obviously going for a certain vibe, but it's not built on the food, which is mediocre at best and very expensive for what you get. Lots of way-overpriced fufu drinks in cutesy glasses. I ordered the flautas ahogadas, which were actually burnt, with dried out chicken inside. Slow service too. La Cheve, their original restaurant, is quite good, and I highly recommend it for breakfast! But this one? Save your hard-earned money for something better thought out and put-together. read more

Chris came up to our table and check on us several time through out our reservation. Very knowledgeable on the cocktails and on the menu answer all of our question about the gluten-free option.... very helpful.
