Tip: This cafe has dairy-free options for your hot chocolate and lattes. A recent Yelp experience introduced me to Chocolate and Love. Yesterday, I was in the area and dropped by for some chocolate. Chocolate and Love is at Heartland Town Centre. It's perfect because you can shop, eat, and more. I had an early dinner at Swiss Chalet. I swung by this cafe afterwards. I had no problem finding this cafe. I backed into a parking spot and walked in. It is a pretty shop. It does steady business. I headed to the counter and was immediately greeted by a female staffer during my first visit. I got a different female staffer my second time. This place doesn't have iced hot chocolate. I am guessing that it would be difficult to melt fine chocolate and then ice it to death. I had a small hot dark chocolate (70%) with oat beverage during my first visit. It was excellent. I'm a dark chocolate person and I love hot chocolate. It was slightly sweet, which was perfect. I only wished that I had a larger cup of it. This store has a lot of gift ideas or gifts for yourself. I liked looking at the chocolate bars. hot chocolate gift jars, pottery, and more. The only downside was that there weren't any prices listed. I don't know why. The drink menu does. Everything else in the cafe doesn't, as if you're shopping at Tiffany's. I saw boardgames that you can play if you are hanging out for a while. It was a nice touch. I saw a display full of baked goods that looked yummy. I still haven't got any. Next time! It was recommended by the first female staffer that getting a library set (three chocolate bars) was the better deal than the current promotion of getting one bar, and the second bar goes for 50% off. I went for it. I got to sample the dark chocolate orange. It was so good. The orange balanced out the dark chocolate nicely. You can sample any chocolate that you'd like, which was nice. I also asked about the Dubai kunafa cup. She said that she had it in strawberries with pistachio. I said yes to one. I've had a similar Dubai kunafa cup from Tanghulu Square One. I frankly liked the latter one better. Although Tanghulu uses milk chocolate, I found that you could easily eat the strawberries with the chocolate-pistachio mixture with ease. At Chocolate and Love, the chocolate was of higher quality. It hardened quickly, so you have to work at it to chip out a whole strawberry with the chocolate-pistachio mixture. It was yummy. I was thoroughly impressed by the generous number of whole strawberries in this cup. It was an exercise in patience and elbow grease to set each strawberry free from the hardened chocolate-pistachio mixture. I felt that it could have included more kunafa. It was at the bottom of the cup, so the crunchiness didn't happen until the end. It should have been more evenly distributed. Anyway, I like this cafe. I will probably pass on the Dubai kunafa cup. However, I'll be back for more dairy-free hot chocolate and some baked goods. It was nice being introduced to this cafe. The chocolate is excellent. This place has some really good quality chocolate! Me and my siblings decided to try this place (aside from the yelp event) and we ordered a latte, smoothie, strawberry cup and we really liked it. They also have some board games you can play. This place is pretty fancy. You can come dine in and they seat you and take your order. They also have chocolate bars and an extensive menu. I really like the decor they have going and the overall vibes. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area :) read more

Overall, the drinks, the pastries, and the service were great. The barista/waiters will greet you and sit you down or you can go up to the counter and order first if you want it to go. The inside ambience of this place is really cool, but the only thing I don't like is the low height of the tables and the interior designs of the couch cushions. But other than that, this is generally a nice place to read or socialize. They are also open late, so this is a great place to invite your friends! read more

The service is quick a little bit on the pricer side for portion and presentation is beautiful good place to lounge for medium size groups. Dubai chocolate croissant did not have a lot of kunafa/ pistachio mostly chocolate heavy. White hot chocolate was great and not too sweet would recommend drinks over food. read more

I'm glad we came across Chocolate & Love. They have a pretty extensive drink & dessert menu and is great for sharing! The Rose Cappuccino had the right amount of rose syrup, creaminess from the milk, and bitterness from the decaf coffee. It was great to sip on alongside the dessert. The Chocolate Celeste Cheesecake was beautifully presented and wasn't overly sweet. The brownie base is unique and went so well with the cheesecake. It was a great post-dinner dessert and easily shareable among 2 people. There's a decent amount of seating although I think they can do a better job at making the place "cozy" - ie., more comfortable couches, better for groups, etc. Otherwise, definitely recommend stopping by! read more

While it's a beautiful café with a nice ambiance, and a nice place to chill/socialize, I'm not a big fan of the items I've tried or perhaps it's because I chose the wrong thing? I've personally tried items as take out before (mostly their savouries) and though they were good, I didn't feel like quality wise, it was up to my expectations since it just felt like one of those pastries you buy in bulk and heat up in the oven. Anyway, decided to come back for a dine-in experience to try the desserts and hot chocolate. I was a fan of their hot chocolate and loved that I could customize it to my liking, by choosing the type of milk I want, chocolate (milk, dark, white), etc. However, I was not a fan of their crepe. The crepe itself was ok, but when choosing the toppings (another thing I like is that you get to choose your own toppings), I found that they've used canned or frozen mangoes? (I was expecting fresh mango). The cookie that was used was not fresh and was very hard, like grocery-store shelf quality cookie. Those were a big turn off for me personally and I was kind of disappointed as it ruined the overall taste of the dessert. Their ice cream that accompanied the crepe was good. Due to my experience from takeout + dine in, I'd say though I'm a fan of the interiors and overall ambiance of this place, I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of items. The highlight was only the hot chocolate for me but it was not WOW, just an average OK (coming from someone who makes their own hot cocoa mix at home) nor was it served hot. I was ok with the pricing point given the place has vegan options, is ethical and supports equitable trade relationships, however I didn't find that "fine organic ingredient" point in the quality of the items I've tried unless perhaps thats referring to their chocolate bars and chocolate items only? The cafe is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and has a positive vibe. The owner and the staff are very nice and deeply care about providing a great experience for the customers. They offer great variety of chocolate-flavored desserts and beverages on top of other variety of cakes and desserts. And they offer Canada'sFirst organic and fair trade hot chocolate. Their menu includes gluten-free and vegan options as well. Great location for picking up breakfast on your way to work during the week and have brunch on weekends. They're also great for late night snacks as they're open till midnight. We ordered "Chocolate Bomb", "Pistachio Ricotta Cake", "Whole wheat Pancake with Dark & White Melted Chocolate, Chocolate Ice Cream, Almond, Strawberry & Banana", "Fudge Brownie Sundae" and "Hot Chocolate Drink". Everything was fresh and tasty. I liked that they offer whole wheat pancakes, I've been looking for them in every café I go and I'm happy that I've found a place that offers delicious and healthy pancakes.
