While I tasted many wines, I just lost track of my favorites. The sponsers definitely need an App to track and rate the wines. With a hundred plus wines available here, this would have been a nice touch. Tips; 1. Start at the opposite end of the venue. Everyone just went to table one and you guess it, crazy packed. 2. Start with whites and sparkling wines. Then go with the reds. You will enjoy your experience better. I found reds will "shoot and overpower your taste buds". 3. End your experience with some sparkling wines. Very refreshing and your taste buds will appreciated. Remember your taste buds will be on over drive by the end of your tasting. 4. Have some snacks handy. You need to restore those taste buds. Wine tannin has an effective on those buds and chocolate, salty snacks, cheese, etc. will help restore and re-energize your taste buds. 5. Be polite. A "thank you" and "please" goes a long way. I found a couple of moments of rude people. Overall, this was a fun event. You just needed to navigate the venue as you enjoyed the wines. There was enough of a selection of wines to appreciate the event as well as snacks throughout; cheese, chocolate, bread, hors d'oeuvres, etc. Souvenir wine glasses a nice touch for the tasting. The crowd was mature and they were there to enjoy wine. Wonderful couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.

Abhorrent behavior. The owner called the police to make my 80+ yr old father in law pay the 20%…read moregratuity after the manager threatened my husband. I had to ask the manager to step away from my husband. My husband left with our three children, while me, my elderly in laws and my sister in law attempted to settle the bill. Considering the managers totally inappropriate behavior, my father in law said he would pay the bill and gratuity but not 20%. The manager called the owner (he spoke with a man) and the manager said he was taking the 20% off. The owner (who was not there for any of this) yelled at me over speaker phone. He told me I was disgusting and should be embarrassed by my behavior. I have no idea what he thinks happened. Then the police came in to make us pay. The police asked him to waive the 20% but he insisted we pay it. This was not about safety. There was no threat. It was just an elderly couple and 2 women who were not threatening in any way. What a waste of police resources. The service and food were horrible but this is far beyond that. My father in law is a veteran who simply didn't want to pay 20% gratuity when a member of the staff attempted to fight his son. My 11 year old son's birthday was ruined. This was the most absurd experience of my life. No wonder the restaurant was practically empty. I can't imagine why the kitchen was so backed up when there was hardly anyone in the place. The police encouraged us to post our story on social media.

I've known of Juan for at least 20 plus years, ever since I started coming here, and tonight I learned that he has actually been working at Café Baci for 38 years. That says a lot about both his dedication and this restaurant. I've eaten at restaurants all over the country, especially on both the East Coast and West Coast, as well as in many places throughout Canada. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to meet and interact with quite a few restaurant managers, and I have to say, Juan is truly one of the best I've come across. He is the whole package--compassionate, personable, genuinely caring, and incredibly professional. You can tell that hospitality isn't simply a job to him; he truly cares about his guests and takes pride in creating a great experience. Even our brief conversation left a wonderful impression on me.
