    Cold noodles and Kalbi Combo.

When you see families, older generation going there and the serving staff speaking little English- you know you have found a gem. Just go and try and be impressed. Homestyle and clean eating with healthy grains.

Look at this sloppy mess of a soup dish. That's supposed to be meat.

Been here twice. I attributed issues to it working out the kinks during its soft open. I don't think that's the case anymore. Meat is not cleaned properly. Lots of fat and gristle hanging off of it leading to unpleasant smells and flavors. Soup is also bland and lacking content. Bonchon side dishes are small. Place is like Hmart's food court. You order then pick up at the counter. Also the worst part for me is the smell. I can smell what seems like bathroom cleaning products. The bathroom is within eye shot of the eating area so i don't think it's out of question. If you've been in a men's bathroom you know that smell. Not good.

I was excited to try Sambong Closter, got the bibim naengmyun and LA galbi combo, and the food was delicious. Prices were reasonable for the large amount of food, interior was clean and renovated, and there was no tip. Will definitely be back

I really liked this place. The restaurant was clean and spacious and I liked how it was self serve and you get to pick your own seat. I got the spicy bibimnengmyun with LA galbi combo while my mom opted for the chungookjang. The bibimnengmyun wasn't too spicy and I thought the portion of the meat was perfect. Their complimentary bone broth was super hot and savory and I definitely went back for seconds. I didn't try the chungookjang but my mom said it tasted very authentic and she enjoyed it. Overall, great place and I'll be back when I'm in the area.

BI Naeng & Pork neck #5, too yummy and mixed the cold spicy noodle for testing. Good as the menu pictures.

A new place at closter. I like Korean's cold noodles, very good & authentic overall. They also serve hot beef ribs soup and tofu soup in hotpot. They told us it's self-served, no tips required, what's a nice touch !

The restaurant is great because there's no tipping, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable (same to Palisade park in taste ). The place is clean, and there are separate rooms, making it a good spot for group meals as well.

This place is good!! It's a self serve restaurant so you order and pay at cashier and they will call for your ticket when food is ready. The best part is NO TIPPING!  My Cheong-Guk Jang soup was super good. It comes with a grilled fish and side banchans. Good place to have a lunch regularly.

Bibinneng myun w marinated pork shoulder

Tried the bibinneng-myun with pork and galbi-tang. Both my husband and I enjoyed it very much. Will be going back with my kids!

It seems like they only really have two people on staff, so be patient! The staff is very nice and try their best. But especially if three or more tables are filled - food will take awhile to arrive. The menu has a lot of standard Korean fare - Korean pancakes, bibimbops, noodle soups (black bean noodles, jjampong, kalguksu) and stews (galbi tang, bulgogi stew). The seafood pancake has more veggies and seafood than pancake. I've had the galbi tang twice, which is also hearty and packed with a lot of goodies. Worth a trip if you happen to be wandering around the Tenafly area. We will likely be back.

And they did not disappoint - seafood pancake 5/5: amazingly crispy and packed with seafood so every bite you either get a octopus or shrimp which is delicious!! - brisket jjamppong 4.5/5: something different never had brisket style but the broth was great and garlicky. Noodles was also cooked perfectly - galbi tang 4/5: had better, the broth was did not hit the umami and seemed like it still had some impurities. The meat portion was smaller scale but it was soooo tender and juicy that it fell right off the bone

The host arranged 2 tables for us quickly. We got the combo A (4-5people): 4 beef/steak + 1 pork shoulder. Meat quality is good. The staff cooked it for us. I wish they have a better vent system. The smoke kinda just floated around. Small dishes are provided, such as kimchi. Nice decoration inside. Bathroom is clean. The staff are friendly. A good spot for Korean BBQ.

The dining space looked nice, there were some decorations for the festive season as well. The menu had starters, side dishes, noodles, and of course the K-BBQ, both individual and sets. We ordered a first set that came with 5 different meats including pork belly, prime ribs and steaks. The meat tasted good and they were cooked fine in the grill by the staff member. We also had free side items like cucumber, kimchi, macaroni, mixed greens and rice. We ordered few additional items like edamame, seafood pancake, beef dumplings and japchae. Everyone loved the thin noodles of japchae. Edamame and dumplings were fine. I didn't like the pancake as it had a very dense and bland tasting dough. Overall our dining experience was decent. Our server handles the grilled fine, efficiently cooked all the meat items and spread them on two sides of the tables. She also kept refilling the side items as needed.

We most recently came in on a Friday night with a 6 pm reservation. Yes, we had to flag down one of the harried but cheerful women working here to place our order. But look around - there's not a white tablecloth in sight. You may have to catch someone's eye, and there's nothing wrong with that. By 6:15 pm, half of our order was on the table, and we were gleefully chomping on fried dumplings and pillowy buns. The small but clean and modern space was packed - packed with people, but also with so much happiness. Almost everyone was smiling, laughing, and joking as they tucked into this feel-good array of comfort classics. Jajangmyun, jjampong, khan poong, gochu japchae... all of these traditional dishes sang. Even a simple plate of sauteed vegetables was delicious. And everything spent just seconds between being finished in the kitchen and sitting in front of us. Is it cheap? No, nor should it be. The ingredients are of the freshest, including the seafood. The cooking couldn't be better. And this is no grimy hole in the wall. If it were a French bistro, you'd have no problem with the prices. So pay these fine folks what they deserve, and enjoy.
