The best, most honest auto shop in the valley!!! I have been going to choice for years, with multiple different cars, and I don't trust any other mechanic to work on my vehicle. They change you for parts and labor at a very reasonable rate (my dad is a car guy and can confirm that their prices are extremely fair.) I have a 2021 vehicle, and I trust choice auto more than the dealership to do oil changes or any sort of repair. I cannot reccomend them enough!!! I am a little jealous of the guys at Choice Auto Repair in Tempe Az. At first I just really, really liked them because of the great work they continue providing for us (my wife and I) and the different cars and trucks they continue to provide great service on over the many years. But here is the rest of the story! I spent thousands of dollars on my truck to give her a great life with me. Who can ask for more. She was lonely at the car dealership and I gave her a home. When she had dirtied herself up and was road weary, I cleaned her up and cared for her. And what does she do to me in return. She continues to break my heart by continuing to break down on me so I can take her down to Choice Auto Repair in Tempe AZ. So that they can, well so that they can do what I can't. Give her more attention. More attention than I could ever give, to her. I don't go under her hood anymore like I used to. I don't go under her hood like they do and fiddle around with her and make her parts work fabulously. I CAN'T TOUCH THAT! I give her money just SO THAT SHE CAN GIVE IT AWAY THE VERY NEXT DAY to these mechanics, even on christmas. How is a truck owner like myself able to compete with that LOVELY FEELING. We were in Tempe, staying at our daughters apartment for a little bit. Noticed my AC in the car wasn't as cool as normal. Driving back to the Pac NW and wanted to make sure that the freon was recharged. Called first thing Friday morning, and they were able to get me in and recharged within an hour. My daughter is from California and in Arizona for school. A day before graduation, her car had a major issue and she needed a car repair shop. I belong to a moms page for students in the area and many moms recommended Choice Auto as an honest shop, especially for kids who have cars and are out of their home state. The moms touted the owner and his shop as honest, efficient, and fair. We drove down for graduation and en route spoke to the owner who told us to bring it in and he would at least diagnose it but said he was booked a week out. We agreed and took the car in that Monday first thing. My husband and I could not be any happier with this entire shop. The car was repaired the same day (a nice surprise thanks to a cancellation) The owner and repairs were handled quickly and the price was fair for the work. They have a 12 month one year warranty on their work and parts. This shop was incredibly easy to work with and the repairs and the professionalism displayed by this shop were top notch. The crew there is amazing. We had her car towed and the tow truck driver that responded said he would also recommend this shop because they were excellent and have an established reputation for being honest and doing a great job. This review is late but extremely warranted. The person I spoke with named Kevin, manager, is awesome! I hit some road debris while visiting my daughter in Scottsdale, Arizona. I spoke to my mechanic from my hometown and by what I described, he felt I was going to need the oil pan replaced. I called several auto shops to get pricing. All the pricing was pretty much in line with what I anticipated to pay. This location had a lot of 5 star reviews so I decided I would go with all the positive feedback concerning the service and Kevin. It is absolutely on point! I am a senior, I had appointments Monday & Tuesda in Tempe, I live in East Mesa. I started out with a/c working fine, halfway it blew engine hot air, and the temp was 114 out both days. I call Kevin and told him what was happening, he told me to bring in vehicle in the next day. They were booked up until the 11th but they fit me in so I would not have to drive back in 114-degree weather again, I had suffered heat exhaustion from the previous day. I really wanted to like this place but I was very disappointed. They misdiagnosed my car multiple times, so I was left stranded multiple times after they "fixed my problem." After the third time I broke down, I finally called and kindly told them about my frustration. He rudely spoke over me and raised his voice at me, as well as abruptly hung up on me. One of the times they even forgot to call me for two days to let me know my car was ready. When I took my car elsewhere, they fixed my car correctly in about 2 hours in the middle of a busy Monday for $60. This place had been in and out for a week and continued to make repairs that did not fix my issue. Overall a bad experience and would not recommend. read more

Not impressed, am now not a return customer. New Tempe resident. They took a long time for a basic oil change then came back with a load of things wrong with my car, costing almost $3k. One or 2 I could see in the photos were legit. At home later I contacted my 2 mechanics back in TX and FL with the documents and they were like "heck no!!" I was doing a lot of research for "small business" auto shops, because I've had really bad experiences with "big name" companies in the past, and I came across Choice Auto Repair. I called them this morning to ask if they had any availability to check my car because it's been having troubles starting up. I wasn't sure if it was a battery or alternator or starter problem. They said they could check it out if I came in soon. I arrived and there was already a handful of other customers waiting, which to me was a pretty good sign that this place was well known. I wasn't waiting too long until I was told I just needed a new battery, and he asked if I wanted to replace it on my own, or to have them replace it. I figured I would just get it done while I was there. Just like that, I was in and out and my car was working like new. I really appreciated their flexibility and their ability to squeeze me in last minute! I was nervous that they were going to tell me there were a bunch of issues with my car, but they managed to find the problem and fixed it super quick. As I was waiting, every customer who came in were very comfortable with talking to the owner, which put me at ease that this was a place that I could trust.
