Every other review detailing how horrible this place is barely scratches the surface. I purchased a used police vehicle- $20k CASH. I was nearly killed trying to get on the highway when Ernie sent me on my way. (Did I mention that they didn't even provide a title?) There were a million problems with the vehicle- it went to the Ford dealer and was "allegedly" repaired. 3 weeks (and 2 more trips) later I barely got it back to MA. My trustworthy mechanic was concerned and called them to tell them the transmission was messed up, and they never "turned the rotors" which ultimately lead to $1,900 in brakes and rotors, and replacing leaking rear shocks. I was smugly told that I had to bring it to them for warranty work. My mechanic was afraid it wouldn't make the 2.5 hr. Trip back. It seems to be their standard operating procedure involves Crappy auction or salvage title vehicles, broken promises, and they run out the 60 day warranty without ever actually providing what they promised. I watched a stream of poor, elderly, and indigent people going in, using their computer in hopes that they might be approved for enough to purchase something reliable. Its almost as if this establishment exploits those with little money to fight back. Familiarize yourself with the K35 complaint process through the CT DMV. You'll likely need it. The state really needs to investigate this enterprise. Below is a photo of what they tried to pass off as a spare tire (which was supposed to be new) NOTE: Jacqueline did straighten the tire issue out, but I still have problems with the vehicle. Fortunately, I can afford to repair my vehicle in MA with a REPUTABLE mechanic, but what of those poor people - many non-english speaking- being exploited? Choice Motor Car gets one star, because zero (or negatives) aren't an option.

Choice Motor Car is the real deal. They made things right even though I bought the vehicle in November 2024 and the 3000 mile warranty had long expired. There was an issue that MAY have not been addressed before I drove the car off the lot and many months later I brought it to the general manager's attention. Technically, Choice Motor was not responsible for ordering the part and installing it FREE OF CHARGE, but they did! I love my 2020 Kona and I haven't had any mechanical problems! Thank you for your service and willingness to make this right. I would definitely buy another vehicle at Choice Motor Car if the need were to arise! read more

Steer clear of this dealership !! I found a car here went down put a down payment after a test drive to hold it ask if my personal mechanic could come give it a look thru was told yes but asked to wait until they could go thru it sure no problem next thing after 2 weeks passed and no call that it was ready I called and Ernie the "sales manger" claimed There mechanic was injured and they needed more time I tried two more weeks in a row and got no call the a month later still nothing Back and my calls started being dodged I canceled My check this place is a factory of auction bought cars that they sell in poor condition to People that don't have the common sense to look over them first stay far away from here if you are looking for a used car in my 46 years I've bought and sold 25 cars at least and never had a experience like this disappointment to say the least. read more

This dealership is a dumpster fire from start to finish. The property looked more like a junk yard. The sales staff was impatient with me. Every car I test drove was junk. The asking prices for the vehicles were way higher than they're worth. I'm so glad I didn't buy from this place. read more

I called and set up an appointment to drive and hour to test drive a tundra, only to find the owners trash all over the vehicle, (to include an open bag of chips.) Add states no collisions-carfax reveals moderate damage to front end from crash. Smoker car, obvious damage to suspension, check engine light on for 2x codes. No transparency/claimed knowledge on anything stated. Do not waste you time with this place. read more

Came to this place from a few states away (Massachusetts) for a specific type of Lexus they had, I was impressed with the car and impressed with the customer service, lot of mikes. I was a little put off by the reviews originally but I didn't see any of that in my experience there, and my car is fine. Seems like some of these reviews are literally people complaining about problems with their cars almost a year after the fact, makes no sense. MY Car is perfect for its age and was a great deal price wise, and the crew here is great. Maybe I'll be back for my next one but I hope not anytime soon lol. read more

I drive off the lot excited for my first car purchase fresh out of high school, I saved every dollar I could to purchase this vehicle and have some leftover to deal with maintenance and repairs, I notice one day my wipers aren't working on the vehicle and I'm not well versed at the time on how to diagnose the issue but also I just bought the car so in no way do I feel I should go tinkering with something that is supposed to have a multi point inspection prior to sale. I bring my car in to have them fix the issue but I left my wallet in the car! I had just cashed my paycheck and the funds were in my wallet and when I returned to the business the next day because by the time I realized the mistake they were closed I would find that my money was gone. Surprise surprise they don't know anything, the car was left unlocked all night because they didn't even supply a fob that could lock and unlock the vehicle and ultimately a 17 year old making an honest living is robbed and they get away with it. Needless to say I filed a police report immediately and would never get any resolution to the issue. That car would later blow up among many other issues that I would go out of my way to fix as to never have to see these crooks again. They're incompetent and argumentative to a point where they actually have convinced themselves they run an honest business. I've seen the way these guys handle business first hand and I leave this review in hopes that someone reads this and heeds the warning that these guys will take advantage of you first chance they get. read more

Went to this place for my first vehicle from a dealership and god let me tell yall never again. It wasn't the drug addicted polish mechanics that really got me it was the way I was told things and they consistently lied and plagiarized their way to the sale of the vehicle. Also sold us a warranty with the vehicle that was not in void awesome after I found out what was damaged on the vehicle when I got it home found out from my mechanic it had a 6" crack in the transfer case. Cheeseburger Ernie pulled some shit with the emissions first told us it passed when we were there to pick it up got there didn't even have it done. As well the guy took a joy ride in my truck while my 6 month old nephew and my mother were waiting in these people's lil shack of a dealership during that heat wave in the summer for them to lie and say all that told me it was normal wear and tear (yeah ok) with the 6" crack in the transfer case plus the truck was showing the check engine light as soon as I got out of their parking lot my mechanic also told me multiple safety issues were at hand as well. These people tried to act like they were making it right when I still have yet to drive the truck 2 months later since the wheel bearings were shot as well. This is just the small version. I truly believe everything in their lot has some form of codes showing on each vehicle and they cleared them so they can sell everything they have definitely from auction I can almost guarantee. I definitely am completely disgusted and dissatisfied with my service from these fools and I will be getting motor vehicle involved and my lawyer. Have a wonderful show!! read more

Good people & good customer service! I found this place while searching online for a family member, it's a good ride from where I live but it had good reviews (on another website) so we decided to check it out. The buying process of the car was longer than we expected for personal reasons but the people here were understanding and patient. We recently had an issue with the rear tire concerning the brakes/emergency brakes so we called up and got an appointment in no time. Our car was taken in and looked at as soon as we arrived. They were able to get the piece needed for the car that day and we were out of there early! Communication is important and they made sure to keep you posted on the status of the car. To top things off we weren't charged for the work done today! Good communication, very good customer service, getting work done in a timely manner = good business.. read more

I went in expecting an at least half honest and sincere experience, considering the decent reviews I've read about the establishment... Not only did they LIE on multiple occasions about it's condition, but they also did faulty work on the vehicle that they sold me whilst OVERCHARGING. Choice Motors is a TERRIBLY managed business! None of their mechanics are certified and the employees will tell you what you want to hear, all the while having no knowledge of vehicles and little of vehicle sales. In my opinion, their ring leader, Mike, is a crook and a straight up LIAR. My purchase from Choice Motors has only brought me stress and continues to drain my pockets. There wasn't a single positive moment in this experience. read more

I went there to purchase a vehicle as they had a lot of decent looking cars online. The salesman seemed sketchy, but the owner appeared to be nice and thorough. They sold me a BMW (our first one) and luckily I made them sign paperwork that they were liable for the vehicle under Massachusetts law until it passed the initial inspection. It failed for emissions. I called up Mike the owner, and he said to bring it down. I drop it off, and ask how long they feel it will be. I am told two days, it took over a week, we go down there at the agreed upon time and the car isn't even there as they have it out at another location being finished. We pull out of the parking lot and within a mile the service engine light is back on, so back we go. An hour later we are back on the road. By the next day the light is back on as well as the transmission light. Rather than driving 6 hours to drop it off and pick it back up I get Mike to agree to have it looked at local to me. I take it to a BMW service technician who also works out of his garage on nights and weekends. He tells me that the vehicle odometer has been tampered with, there is a concoction of additives that has been dumped into the transmission and gives me a laundry list of items that were wrong with the car. Mike had to car towed down to their facility and told me he will get everything fixed in a week or two. After messaging him once a week every week finally the car is ready 60 days later and we schedule to come down and get it. The day before, he texts me and lets me know he was wrong and it isn't fixed yet. Finally 78 days without the car he lets us know we can come get it. We go down and pick it up and drive back. Within a couple days, the check engine light is back on. I take it to my local tech and he says they missed several things he mentioned and does them, but the light doesn't go away. He took the vehicle into work to use the dealership equipment and says it is one of two items, one a part that is about $200 or it is a bad engine. I contact Mike and ask him what he wants to do. He tells me he will send a check for what I am out of pocket doing the diagnostics and repairs and the part and I will have it within two days (this is on Tuesday), but he isn't going to send the $200 OEM part the dealer warns me that needs to be in the car, but the same brand as the aftermarket that is possibly the issue. At this point I tell him if the part is wrong, he is buying the car back and he says that he thinks that is fair. On Friday I try to call with no response as I had yet to receive the part. I call back Monday and he says he mailed it the week before, the part arrives on Wednesday with a USPS ship date stamp for the Monday he told me he had mailed it the prior Thursday. I install the part (only needs a Phillips screw driver, as a ASE certified tech, I think I can handle it), by the time the monitors clear (the car saying it has had time to verify it is running properly) the service engine light is back on. I send Mike a text message, waiting until Thursday as I know he goes to the auction on Wednesdays and I was trying to be convenient to him. No response, so I call him Monday, nothing, I call Tuesday to nothing. I call Wednesday morning and he says he will call me back after the auction, yet he does not. I call Thursday before he opens, and he texts me around noon that he will call in the afternoon. I call him at 8 pm and he finally answers, he says he will tow the car and replace the part with the right one to make it right. I asked him to purchase it back as previously discussed which he initially declined. Enter COVID, I did not follow up as courts were closed, once everything opened up I called Mike to give him one more chance. He agreed to purchase the car back. Sent a tow truck and picked it up within 3 days. read more

I found a Jeep Liberty with really low miles here at this dealership. The car needed a little help with the mechanics but every time the car had a problem I brought to choice motor and they took care of it every time. If you are a new or old driver you will definitely find something you are looking for, for cheap and great service. Highly recommend to anyone who is on the look out to buy a used car. The secretary Ashley is great and the manager Mike is super understanding. read more

Company's paperwork for state regarding inspection and repairs done not checked A,B,C or filled out at all. 13 hrs after receiving the car from Choice, it began smoking from the L motor side. Called Choice's phone and Paul's cell # no answer to full voicemails. For 2 days called vigilantly with same results. Had no transportation so took it to mechanic. $500 repair on day three. Guess who calls on another number, Paul "how's the car?" Me, "In the shop". "Oh, you should have called", duh. Refer to above. Would not help with the charge. He said, I should have done it there (if some phone had a voicemail box open or a phone was answered on the first, second or even 8am Thursday before bringing it to mechanic, I WOULD HAVE!! Latin term for this place is Caveat Emptor - let the buyer beware. Awful experience. We bought a car from them and had problems with a tire losing air from day 1. They said they would fix it. They had the car for over a week with no resolution (not even looked at). I finally went down and took the car back and had it fixed myself. When I went down to retrieve my car, the GM made the comment "you are one of those people that want everything for free". My comment back was "no, I just want to be able to safely drive the car I paid you for 2 weeks ago". They did send us a check for $100 which was supposed to compensate us for our troubles. We promptly sent the check right back as we did not want to deal with them ever again. To our surprise, our mechanic found 2 cracked rims along with the back tires with a date stamp going back to 2003 (the car is a 2005). So the tires on this car were 16 years old. Needless to say we had to get all new tires. When we bought the car, we were told they would not sell a car that did not pass their safety inspection. I guess not. I highly suggest NOT buying a car from this place. If you do, get it independently checked out. read more

Plainly just not a very trustworthy establishment. I bought an suv from this dealership in February 2021 as a project car. I was told a long list of fixes that were done to it, including the replacement of the frame rails, and the vehicle did not start the morning after it was purchased. Paperwork found in the suv showed that it had a history of starting problems that were neither addressed by the dealership before sold nor was I informed that the suv had regular starting issues. This problem was only fixed when it was brought directly to a Toyota dealership which informed me that this should have been addressed before the suv was sold. Additionally, it failed New Hampshire state inspection because of frame rot that that was present on the frame they used as a replacement. I decided to keep it because it was a specific vehicle I had been looking for as a project. If you are in need of a reliable car that can be used daily without issue do not purchase from this dealership. If you are reading this while covid regulations are still in effect I would also avoid this business. Only one employee present was wearing a mask making the environment very uncomfortable for anyone who is high risk. read more

I was in desperate need of a car because of a job that requires me to travel. My car died 5 days before xmas. I was very sick for 3 years and it absolutely ruined my credit. It was so bad Paulie Walnuts from the Sopranos wouldn't have given me a loan if I was paying 20 points on the vig. But Paul and Yan at choice worked there ass's off not only to get me the loan and car I wanted but they got me the best possible loan I could get. Customer service is what will bring me back there when I pay this off and take care of my credit to purchase something nicer. As for the car it isn't perfect but its used and they rarely are. By perfect i'm talking about the little issues and cosmetic stuff. Engine and tranny are strong!! I called Paul about an issue I had the day I took it home and he promised to fix it as soon as I have time off to get up there. I've had a few other issues they couldn't have foreseen but its a used car over 10 years old its gonna happen. I saw some negative reviews on here but it didn't stop me from going there and i'm glad. I have compassion for the people who had bad experiences but if you look they'er almost all out of state buying cars sight unseen that are used. No disrespect but to me that just seems foolish. If your in a situation like I was and need a decent car at a good price with bad credit they will make it happen. Thank you, Yan, Paul, and Mike for all the work you did to get me back on the road. I'll be up soon to see you guys and hopefully take care of that tpms sensor issue. PS, If you guys ever come across the issue we had with the disability debit card or lack of bank account, wells fargo has a second chance bank account option for people with bad banking history you can refer them to. Signal lending was much more happy with this arrangement. Thanks again all you guys up there, read more

By far the WORST dealership! I would 100% recommend to NOT waste your time and go here. The owner is a liar and VERY unprofessional. I have had nothing but problems with the vehicle I have purchased from here. I had to come back because it wouldn't pass inspection to then have ANOTHER issue on top of that. He then told my husband and I he would NOT fix it. I had then myself walked over and told him this is the worst business and I am going to for sure write a bad review he literally came CHASING after me SCREAMING. My husband had to get in between him and I. A lady on the side of the road stopped to ask if I was OKAY. I wish I had recorded how he was acting. He also never told me the vehicle had been repossessed before which isn't a big deal BUT he never gave me the paper from the bank. I had to argue with him to get a copy and even then my insurance agency had to be on their ass to even get it! Now after having the car over OVER a month and still not having it on the road. We JUST were able to get the plates, went to go get inspection and it WONT PASS!!!! Other things that are also wrong with it. The AC does not work. The back window he "fixed" does not work. I needed an oil change. Just everything about this has been hell! read more

Went there for a van but was sold and not taken down off site no biggie because they have multiple other cars and Paul was great to tell me about other cars! Because needed one big enough for kids and I so he suggested a Toyota 4-runner took a week and half to get because had to fix something so glad they did :) so received my vehicle I love it just needs shocks in front and rear and Paul told me to bring down so I am this Thursday or Friday not sure if covered or not but will find out! But customer service was great and they kept me in the loop about everything which was great just hoping shocks get done and only know that needs to b done because was bouncy and had my mechanic just look at it and do full safety check because have been screwed over before and first time coming here and he told me shocks in the front and rear need to be done! Rating will go up after shocks are done read more

Initially found this place on Facebook market place. Then found a 98 navigator on their site. I drove over an hour and a half to go look at this truck because in the description. Of the truck they made it sound like it was immaculate. Lies lies lies. There were 4 codes, rotted bump stop plates, rust across the roof and the radio did not work. This truck easily needed a grand in work, and still wanted top dollar while it needed all that work. So I looked at some other vehicles that I had seen on their site, they all needed work. This place should not be considered a dealer ship. It should be considered a junk yard. Thats what they are trying to sell read more

Avoid if at all possible, bought a jeep in summer 2017 was given a 30 day warranty had an airbag light along with dry rotted tires say it again ALL IN THE WARRANTY PERIOD and they "looked at it" and I still have the issue and a few weeks ago my transmission had to be rebuilt. They also said they'd get us "good used tires", we have yet to hear from them. We also paid for our own tires from town fair. My 2004 Porsche Cayenne turbo was rear ended, pushed into a car in front of me and my insurance company totaled it. I looked for a couple of days and found a silver 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 95k at Choice Motors in Plainville, CT. The car fax Choice posted said the car had 2 accidents. I've been buying European cars my whole life and the drive was 3 hours. So I spoke several times to Mike the financial guy and he assured me that besides a few dings in the front the car had no damage to the exterior and overall was in very good shape. So on 7/19/21 I arrived at 9:00am. At first glance the body looked good until I got to the front of the car and found the front bumper cracked in 4 places. I'm talking cracks I could put 4 fingers in. When Mike came out he acted as if it was the first time he saw the car. Of course I left and a few hours later Mike texted me and said the owner wanted to charge me $700.00 extra to fix the damage. I told Mike that no one would buy the car with all that damage. He actually agreed. I've never written a dealer review but insult was added to injury when I noticed that Choice's online pics of the car was doctored to look as if the front of the car was not broken up. Who does that? That's foul and disrespectful . it reeks of fraud. I read the reviews before I went there and most were not good. The owner's name is Mike and someone named Mike replied to most of the bad reviews explaining that Choice was not to blame for the issue. I thought that was cool that they took time to set the record straight. They will most likely have an explanation for what I have shared. I felt like the biggest dope when i saw the damaged bumper and when i saw that the pic they posted covered up the damage. I give them a one because as another reviewer said there are no minus stars. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. IM SURE THIS WILL GET REMOVED OR PUT IN THE NON HELPFUL REVIEW SECTION BUT THIS IS THE MOST HELPFUL REVIEW YOU CAN GET. My wife had gone to buy a car and this was the only place I told her never to go, based on others experience. Obviously, its the only place she went. I stopped by after she signed and walked into the waiting room were people asked if I worked there as the person helping them said he'd be right back and they waited 45 minutes. I looked around the office as once you walk in the front door theres an office on the left with a dry erase board basically saying , close the deal no matter what. I went outside in the rain and walked over to the garage windows and knocked until one of these workers answered. The salesman came out and told me he made sure he discussed with her that I was ok with her buying a car. First, its her money, she can buy what she wants, but we all know he didnt ask her that because she told me otherwise. Days before 1. Told her she couldnt pick it up for a couple days because had to fix something engine related Day 1. Car doors locked and wouldnt open, needed AAA as the computer was reset and didnt recognize the key (this was not told to her nor were any functions tested or explained). I dropped off the car the next day and said Id pick it up when the doors were fixed. Took a few days, locks worked. Was told she has 3 days to report more findings then a few weeks at 50% off labor. This was not the salesman who sold her the car, the had to be somewhere at the time we went to pick it up. The salesman also called a couple times to ask her to post positive review here on yelp, I told her not to lie, she never posted First Month. Car dies, needs very large battery, $150, she tells me the function to raise and lower vehicle doesnt work, look into it, disabled, windshield washer doesnt work, (this was not told to her nor were any functions tested or explained) Salesman called again about poting review, she still didnt First 3 months. Car seems to loose a little power and shifts hard sometimes, engine light on and off, emissions, grinding sound at times, cant find it brake seems fine, A/C weak, charge it, not much difference, change both cabin filters, not much difference, starts leaking inside n driver foot under dash, sunroof leaks bad (this was not told to her nor were any functions tested or explained) First 6 Months. Car starts sounding loud, exhaust literally falls off car, cats also need to be replaced. Car stalls at least once every morning, ignition wires are burnt almost completely through on one side, more grinding, still no reason. (this was not told to her nor were any functions tested or explained) First Year. Redo brakes completely find pads grinding metal on inside opposite front and rear, tie rod so bad alignment does nothing, hub assemblies in front (700 each) and front cv axles need replacing, V8 can hardly make it up a hill, engine light still on According to mechanics that have looked at this were told that almost everything was a problem previous to my wife buying. These people are scammers, they sell garbage auction vehicles. All of the problems on the car arent fixed as we dont have the money, seeing the car was $5000, and it needs at 1 year, more than that much in work. DANGER read more

After two months of searching for a car, I went to Choice Motor Car and left with an amazing vehicle. Choice had two sweet ass Cadillacs among other great choices but being a family man I bought a 2008 Ford Fusion and got a great car at a great price with great Service. My car had one hiccup and the GM(Mike) took care of it without hesitation. The receptionist, the mechanics and the management are all super friendly and make sure you've been helped. If they don't, then like any dealer they are busy but work fast to help the next person. The car lot definitely has a car for everyone so if your looking for SUV, a sedan or a coupe, go to Choice Motor Car. read more

When it comes to cars DO NOT GO HERE. These guys just want to scam you out of your money. I know so many people who have bought from them and ended up with a million and one issues sometimes even the same day that they bought their car. I bought a car from choice motor and it was the worst mistake of my life. I just keep pouring money into my Jeep. When I first bought the car I had so many problems with it. They "claimed" to fix the problem (which they never did) and it the process broke something in my steering wheel and stuck a shop rag in it as a fix. When I noticed the issue I brought it back and the guy that actually worked on the car told me he put a rag in the steering wheel and when I confronted the owners about it they looked at me like I was crazy and they would never do that. I bought my car from them during summer time as it got colder I noticed my heat didn't work so I brought it back COUNTLESS times and they would have it for days even a week and would say they fixed it but they never did. Then they told me to make sure I don't have the temperature on cold when I want heat... like do I look that stupid? They are just lazy and sell trash cars. I would never recommend going to Choice Motor Car and I hope they see this to know how shitty they actually are. My friend just found out their her car she bought from them was involved in a fire from a dealer and choice motor never told her. If I could give 0 stars I would. It's a shame; they claim to help people with bad credit when really they are selling them over priced junk that they just have to always put money into to fix. If they ACTUALLY fixed my heat the right way I wouldn't be pissed but time after time of them having my car and not doing anything to it I realized what a shitty establishment this was. Don't waste your time going here. read more

Between myself and my family we have purchased 6 cars from Choice. They were all excellent buys. Their service is high quality and their sales staff takes the extra time to make sure that they put you in the right vehicle for your needs. read more

Absolutely disappointed with my experience. Fell in love with a car they had listen on autotrader, and called to set up a time to come and check it out. both my father and I took time off of work to come and see it, and when we got there, both employees (who were standing around doing nothing) informed us that they had not gotten around to bringing the car around to the lot (excuse me?) and that is was instead at one of the employee's house. (what??) They seemed utterly uncaring and it seemed like a typical bait and switch sales tactic, and I'm really upset that I wasn't able to purchase the car I had been so looking forward too. Turned around and left without a word. Absolutely would not reccommend. read more

There were many customers looking and buying Even with all that going on Joe took the time to talk to us . He made what is usually a stressful situation into a smooth transition What I noticed most was that ever customer he spoke to he listened to them There was some scratches all over the car and there body guy , I forgot his name , took the time to get the car cleaned up before we took it off the lot We will be going back for our second car. Joe hasn't let us down and I'm sure our next vehicle will prove to be the same Thank you read more

Re: Obtaining contract by fraud: On 5/3/18, Michael Molnar, Owner FALSELY advertises Car's condition as mint. On 5/3/18, after test drive several mechanical issues arrive and salesman, Paul S. Ciarcia PROMISES to have all repairs performed by ASE CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS. Car is held for 22 days and released to Consumer without a single repair being performed. Later when confronted about these $3,000 in repairs bot Mike and Paul state: what do you expect me to do? This is a $2,200 dollar car. What more do you want from me? I'll discuss this with Mike/Paul and call you back. In the meantime, DON'T drive the car. Lastly, both Mike and Paul refuse vto take car back AND refund expenses. read more

Hi potential buyers, My first impression of this establishment was not a bad one because the owner created the impression that he cared about his customers. Indeed, the receptionist, the façade of the company, conducted herself professionally and won me over. However, I was overcharged for the vehicle I purchased because even though I grilled the owner about the problems with the vehicle, he created the impression that the vehicle was in excellent condition and I would not be burden by it. Indeed, I was a sucker because I was young , vulnerable, and I actually trusted him for a short period. As a result, he capitalized on and played with my vulnerability and sold me a car with insurmountable problems. I really purchased this car with the advice of one of his mechanics. He created the impression that the car was a steal because they'll knew I travelled very far to come and see this car; however, my mechanic was not willing to travel so far out of the city to come and view the car. Also, I would like to mention that there is actually a descent mechanic who sometimes works in the office. He was not there the day I purchased the car! I actually met him after the deal was made. Furthermore, the owner took my full-payment without mentioning the dangerous missing control arm on the vehicle, the electrical problems with the car, and that the car would have currently failed inspection. Indeed, the owner went as far as providing me with out- dated inspection papers. Also, a lot of things were missing from the vehicle. For example, I had a flat tire once and the tool to change tire was missing from the car. I had to call triple A.I was taken aback by the missing mats for the car as well as the turning indicator was missing when I had the car delivered to me. Where are these inanimate objects? God alone knows what he did with them. I am convinced that the owner is arrogant because of the fact that I had a problem with my bmw and called him to help me rectify the problem.Guess what? he kept on talking about him , purchasing a M5 bmw. As a result,, I am still stuck with the problem with the car. Instead of him massaging his ego, he should have reached out and help me rectify this problem. I am startled and surprised to see what sometimes float to the top of is torrential. Honestly, if it was not for some of his staff members, he would be out of business long time ago. He needs to stop preying on the weak and help the hands that feed him. The only good thing I can say about the owner is that he is a good actor because he will create the impression that he is listening. He only understands the color green. the owner has no drive and passion; he is only in this business to make money, so he does not care about the hardworking taxpayers he hurt at all! I would never go back. read more

this place conned me , as I drove away from the dealership and the breaks locked up on my new truck (THEY TOLD ME THEY DID A FULL SAFTY INSPECTION) ,after many phone call to the dealership they are screening their calls and not answering ME , coice motor cars told me my loan would be automatically drawn from my account(two months late now my credit is getting screwed) after talking with loan officer come to find out coice motor car added 2225 dollars to my loan (choice motor car snuck this amount into my loan telling me that's what it is after interest) well that's not true because there is more interest added on top of that through lender. this place will rip you off I will be calling the better business bureau and my lawyer , lender is already notified what they have done!!!! read more

My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, it's been plagued with incompetence, dishonesty, and disregard for customer satisfaction. Initially drawn in by a Facebook Marketplace ad for a car listed at $5999, I was promptly informed on the day of my visit that the price had mysteriously jumped to $6999 due to a supposed "pricing error." Naïve to the legality of such tactics, I reluctantly paid the inflated price, only to encounter a slew of issues with the vehicle. One of the first issues present with the car was an airbag fault, which they claimed to have fixed. However, about a month after I ceased dealing with this dealership, the airbag light in my car has returned, adding to the litany of issues I've faced. Upon receiving the car, the check engine light was already glaring, signaling underlying problems like a faulty fuel pressure regulator. Promises of repair were made, but the wait extended endlessly as the dealership blamed Volkswagen for back-ordered parts. After weeks of silence, I finally reached out, only to be met with excuses and further delays. When I eventually retrieved the car, the issues persisted, with the check engine light making a swift return, along with tire troubles that required constant attention. Returning the car for repairs was another ordeal altogether. The salesman who once exuded charm suddenly became indifferent, and the promised temporary replacement vehicle was a sorry excuse, riddled with issues of its own. The incompetence didn't end there. Improperly placed license plates led to a confrontation with law enforcement, highlighting yet another oversight on the dealership's part. The saga continued with repeated visits for unresolved issues, each time met with more excuses and a blatant disregard for accountability. Even attempts to utilize the warranty were met with frustration, as the dealership's chosen service provider had no record of the purported repairs. It became abundantly clear that this dealership's primary concern was evading responsibility, evidenced by conveniently timed warranty expirations and dismissive attitudes towards customer concerns. Of course, they will respond to this review and accuse me of lying or being dishonest, but there wouldn't really be a point in me doing so since I have nothing to gain. This fact was made crystal clear when I was informed that my warranty expired and that I would have to pay for any further repairs, despite the issue being one of the many that have persisted throughout this ordeal. It's baffling to be told that reputable auto parts stores like AutoZone and Advanced Auto Parts gave me the wrong diagnosis, and that the car had a completely different problem unrelated. This only adds insult to injury, further highlighting the dealership's reluctance to take responsibility for their shortcomings. In conclusion, this dealership epitomizes everything wrong with the industry: deceitful practices, subpar service, and an utter lack of accountability. Spare yourself the headache and avoid this establishment at all costs. Your time, money, and sanity are better invested elsewhere. read more

Being a young single female who doesnt haev much knowledge about cars, i have always been weary of used car sales men. i have been screwed over in the past by other used car dealers and since then i have been skepical. however, i was in desperate need of a new car and while i was searching the web i came across a few cars i wanted to test drive at choice. As i pulled into their dealership i had a knot in my stomach in fear that they were going to try and take advantage of me. But as soon as i met the salesmen and we began to talk i became alot more comfortable. they were not pushy like most salesmen. i noticed a few things on the car cosmetically that i wanted them to fix if i decided to biuy it. and they agreed that it wouldnt be a problem to do so. after i test drove the car, i fell in love. it drove beautifully and looked beautiful and i looked beautiful in it! i had to have it. the financing process went smoothly. i got a pretty good interest rate considering i have terrible credit. i put a deposit on the car that day and they assured me that all the things we discussed would be taken care of. they also promised me that they would do the required safety inspection on it and made sure it passed emission. that was suich a relief, bc thats one less thing i had to worry about doing now. during our conversation, io told the owner about my prior experiences with other scum bag dealerships, and just to prove that his dealership was different from all the others he flushed out all my fliud for me anf refilled them for free. Through out the next few days while i was waiting for my car to be ready for pick up, the salesmen, Joe, and the owner, Mike, kept me updated on my cars progress. when i finally got the call that my car was ready for pick up, i told them that i had to work late and would be unable to make it there before they closed. and i couldnt even believe that just out of the pure kindness of their hearts, they told me that as long as i called them while i was on my way, they would stay late just for me. just so i could get my car that day! i thought that was the nicest thing. when i finally got there and seen my car, i couldnt stop smiling! It was so shiney! the detail guy did an amazing job! my car looked just as good on the inside as it did on the outside...and it smelled realllllly good too! they did everything they promised they would do. i will absolutely come back to choice the next time i have to buy a car. and i will totally recommend them to anyone who mentions anything about having to buy a new car. they were really impressed me and changed my opinion about used car dealer. they offered me a beautifiul car that ran great, they had friendly people working there, quick service and they kept every one of their promises. what more could you possibly ask for? read more

I had been looking for a car for quite some time. My boyfriend and I were looking at used cars online and we came across a Lexus is300. I have always liked those cars so I called up asking if it was still for sale. Joe answered and told me that unfortunately it was sold. I kept looking around for cars and I came across a 2000 Toyota 4runner that appearedto be in good shape. We decided to go down to Choice and see it in person as I am very picky about vehicles. When we first arrived I was a little skeptical but then I saw the 4runner. My boyfriend and I spent about 10 mins or so looking around the vehicle which looked very similar to the pictures. Joe then came outside and we started talking. I started up the vehicle and looked under the hood. The car was quiet and relatively clean on the inside. I was throughly impressed and I was glad that they didn't come out right away and bombard us before we even got the chance to look at the vehicle. We decided to sit down and talk numbers and we decied that the price was pretty fair. Initially we were going to get financed through choice but were able to get a little better rate at our own bank. Joe and Mike were happy that we were able to get a little lower rate. They were very friendly throughout this whole encounter and I felty comfortable during the whole buying process. The fact that they were not being pushy and trying to make us pay more money was exceptional. We all know how those car sales men are! They proved to me that they are not all like that. I also needed an alignment done and Choice agreed to pay for it. At the time I went to get the alignment they were not able to do it as my tierods were too rusty and wouldn't move. We let Joe know and they were great, they gave us new tierods free of charge and agreed to pay for another alignment. I believe that we got a great deal on the 4runner. It was well worth the money and there are only minor issues with it that are easy fixes. We could have easily wrote our own personal check and bought this outright but we wanted to finance and build our credit. I could have also gone to other dealerships and purchased a used car as both my brother and sister work at car dealerships. However, I chose choice because they were very friendly and nice about the little issues I had. I would absolutely recommend them if you are looking for a decent used car. I am very happy with my 4runner and thanks a lot Joe and Mike for your exceptional service! I will more than likely come back to you in the near future and thanks for all you have done!! read more

Well to start off...it was December of last year and the weather was awful. My other car no longer was running , so I was somewhat desperate for a vehicle. Went to the lot and spotted a 2000 jeep cherokee. Me being a female I should've brought someone w me but once again I needed a vehicle asap. First off they slapped a extra thousand on the price that I wasn't aware of until after. The car seemed decent so I purchased it. Anyway wasn't even offered a warranty at all n after I signed all the papers he comes in w a AS IS paper n made me sign it. Had no idea this was gonna b the beginning of a nightmare. Anyway...first off the crank sensor went, then there was no air conditioner had to get a new part for that n the freon, my thermostat, n my radiator both have needed to b replaced. The car stalls on occasion still n now the battery. This car has been nothing but a nightmare. I'm now stuck w this piece of shit for two more years. Not to mention it has body rust on the side that was covered w paint to match the car that is off now n looks absolutely ugly. That I didn't notice until after cause it was a rainy day. My credit was not good so had no choice to go to choice auto. Ha. Yes I was a innocent woman taken as a sucker. Told me they were gonna detail the car when I got it, it was dusty . Don't get me wrong I know older cars will have their problems but all at once? I was sold a LEMON...Women beware n get a man or woman that knows about cars before you get robbed like me...smdh. this business doesn't even deserve a star but had to put it to write a review. Then my hatch in the back didn't open until one day I was so frustrated I went to the shop furious n just had enough. When I see the owner standing their speaking to JG, another person who owned a car dealer that was shut down cause he was a thief also. Beware people these people are out to Robb you.....Omg n how can I forget had a dam flat n guess what no spare in a snow storm had to have AAA tow it w a flat bed to Don Stevens where they gave me a spare for free cause I bitched. Very nice until u buy the car. Dam been reading all the reviews n don't know how they r still in business. N don't write me an apology either . I should've known u were a thief n you guys knew my situation n still sold me that piece of shit... read more

Honest people who know cars. I was cruising one Saturday stopping at one used car dealership after another. I had given up on line shopping for a used car as it seemed that anything that had potential had been sold, or in one case, the car was listed 13 miles from my home but was actually in California in a crate. I pulled up to Choice Motorcar whose relatively small location is packed with cars for sale. The place was not fancy, but at Choice it's all about the cars. The people are friendly, but their real strength is their knowledge and commitment to selling quality affordable used cars. They were additionally quite busy, and by my experience good businesses usually are. I had not purchased a used car since 1990, and had not purchased an older used car in a considerably longer time than that. My 16 year old daughter will be getting her license soon and I needed to buy something extremely safe and reliable. I purchased from Choice a 2001 Mercedes C class. The experience was all about the car, and these guys know cars. Delivery was delayed a couple of days as the dealership follows a complete checklist before they will turn over the vehicle. During those couple of days I had called several times and spoke to at least 4 different people. Each of them was aware of who I was and were up to speed on the progress of the car, and did not put me on hold or ask me to wait while they found someone who could help. I have certainly spent a lot more money on new cars than I did on this 01 Mercedes, but have never felt more valued as a customer. I did not expect the commitment to excellence and quality from any used car dealer and could not be more pleased. Incidentally, the car is great and I expect to be returning to Choice for service. read more

I work with MANY car dealerships on a personal and professional level and must say Choice Motor Car in Plainville, CT far exceeding my expectations. As a woman, it can be a daunting and intimidating experience shopping for a vehicle but EVERY employee of Choice Motor Car treated me kindly, professionally and NO pushy sales tactics. My first experience was with Mike, who handles the auto detailing, and he has exceptional customer service. The lot was busy so he stopped what he was doing to test drive a few vehicles with me. He was kind and explained the process of purchasing a vehicle. He deserves a raise and a promotion! Top Notch! I then dealt with the other Mike and Joe and they were equally exceptional and were very understanding of my needs. They provided a relaxing and sometimes funny experience. I decided on purchasing their 2003 Honda Pilot Ex-L and they delivered on their promise and followed through on fixing fixing all of my concerns. They took the time to thoroughly inspect my new Honda Pilot using their ASE Certified Technician before allowing me to drive off of the lot. I got an amazing deal on this vehicle which was in amazing condition just as described on their website. They also made a few costly repairs to ensure I drove away with a car in safe and pristine condition. I never trust a car dealership; however, Choice Motor Cars is an exception. They even have my stubborn and picky step-dad sold on going back to purchase a vehicle one day. They have a new customer for life and I will be referring friends and family to this establishment. Thank you guys for making this a smooth and painless process and selling me an amazing vehicle. You guys rock! Jennifer V. (Newington, CT) read more

This dealership is completely amazing! A family member of mine got their vehicle here about a year ago, and the entire process went very smooth. So smooth, in fact, that when a friend of mine was car shopping, I referred them there as well. They purchased their car, worry free. Now it was my turn. When I made a decision to start car shopping, there was never a question in my mind about "where" I would be purchasing, it was just a matter of what they had on the lot. I searched and reviewed the cars on their website and finally decided to visit the lot. I was instantly greeted with a smile by Joe. Joe is by far one of the most upfront and patient men you will ever meet. He made the selection and buying process nothing but flawless and enjoyable. He is definitely a man of his word and very knowledgeable of his inventory, the financing process, and any question you have, he will try his best to answer. Not to mention, the entire staff greets you with a smile, and welcome you with a joke to break the ice. Very comfortable environment- pressure FREE!!!!! When it came to financing and paperwork, Joe was an expert and their instant communication with the bank is awesome (the bank staff is very patient and well mannered). On the day of pick up, which was today, my 2007 Nissan Sentra was ready and gassed up for me and I could not be happier (the CLEAN carfax made it even better). It drives beautifully, and before you leave, you will get a list of the recent repairs (if your vehicle needed any), so you will be aware of what is new. I appreciated this. I will absolutely be returning for another vehicle, and referring more friends and family to CHOICE MOTOR CAR!!! read more

I bought a truck from this "dealership" and I would never recommend somebody else goes here. I traveled to them three times when they told me to only to find out that the truck I was interested in was still not ready for a test drive. Unfortunately I still bought the truck with a warranty, and they tried their best every time to convince me that the repairs I needed were not under warranty. About 10 miles after I bought my truck the check engine light came on, which leads me to believe that they reset the check engine light while I had it on a test drive. In one instance while i was filling out warranty information I over heard the secretary get very upset with a different customer over the phone. I made a joking remark about it to her and she replied, "yeah he's going under the do not answer list" After my warranty was up and i had to bring my truck to a different mechanic I asked them if they ever heard of Choice Motor Car and the guy gave me a very sorry look and told me that Mike (The owner) is a very unfair business man and changes the name to his company whenever he gets a certain amount of bad reviews so people aren't weary of his shady business. Please, if you are reading this do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy a car from this establishment, no matter how intriguing the vehicle may be. You WILL be disappointed. I hope this place goes out of business as soon as possible. read more

I recently purchased a BMW X3 from Choice Motor Car. When I first pulled into their lot, the two main salesmen Mike and Joe were assisting other customers for a moment and I happened to strike up a brief conversation with another buyer, who told me he had already purchased two cars from them over the past several years for his family and was in the market for a third. He had only good things to say, especically with respect to after-the-sale customer service. Mike and Joe worked together throughout the sale from start to finish, and allowed me to test drive as many cars as I wanted over my two trips to the dealership before settling on a specific vehicle. They worked closely with me to get financing in order, and took care of everything with the DMV 100%. Their inspection of the vehicle prior to finalizing the sale was meticulous, they identified and repaired things that I most certainly would've missed, and they went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle was as mint as could be possibly expected for a 2005 with over 100K miles. In talking with several members of their staff over the course of purchasing the car, it's clear that they have a commitment to taking care of their customers both before and after the sale. Thanks for everything guys, I'll be back with my mom in a few months to car-shop when it's time for her to retire her current vehicle. read more

I purchased a 2002 Chevy Blazer from Choice Motor Car on March 6th 2014 and Jackie & Joe were very friendly and helpful with getting financing. When I got the car home the check engine light came on and I realized the four wheel drive wasn't working. When I called to tell them about it they said they were very busy and couldn't get me in for a few weeks but I did eventually drop the car off and I did have to leave it for awhile since the diagnostics to figure out the check engine light turned out to be a little more difficult then expected. They even had to send the car out to the dealer since their equipment just wasn't able to find the problem. All said THEY FIXED EVERYTHING FREE OF CHARGE even with having to replace the 4wheel drive module and MAP Sensor, and pay the dealer for the diagnostics. They were very nice to do all that for me and their mechanic Eddie was awesome, he came out and explained everything that he did and all the hard work he put in on the vehicle which made me feel good about the repairs, plus he couldn't have been a nicer guy. Overall my car buying experience from Choice Motor Car has been a good one and I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle. read more

Mr faith in "Used Car Dealers" has been restored. Michael or Anthony were awesome! Throughout the process they met every deadline, kept every promise and even sent me away and told me to come back in 2 weeks with a larger deposit to get my payments down, even though I was already approved with a price I was ok with. Lets just say I am not an ideal customer. I am a 1099 "Self Employed" contractor with less then desirable credit. This can be tricky when trying to get financed. Many dealers will not go the extra mile to work and get you approved, or have misleading practices when calling themselves a "Bad Credit / No Credit" Dealership. I can attest to the fact that when they say 2 Pay stubs and a bank account for approval, it means exactly that. Now, being a salesman myself, by nature, I can be a tough customer and I can tell you that it was refreshing to be talked to like a person, not pushed, and to actually be listened to. It is for this exact reason that I will not only buy another car but refer them to anyone I hear looking for a used car. If you are looking for a reliable car for a reasonable price you should definitely stop by and check out their stock. read more

I went to Choice Motor Car looking at a particular car that was on the internet... When I arrived at store I was greeted by Joe. When I explained what I was looking for Joe walked me directly to car and did a full walk around showing me all the features of the vehicle. There were no attempts at anything, other than to earn my business. Joe informed of all my options in the purchase of the vehicle from special financing to paying cash. I was told they were official rep of CT DMV and all paperwork could be done right their at their dealership. The Maxima had a few minor issues that were immediately address and we worked on a deal. While working with Joe, the owner Mike came over and introduced himself along with his wife Jackie. We came to an agreement on price and any and all issues I may have had with vehicle were addressed promptly and correctly. I took delivery of car on 11/2/13. I am a very happy and satisfied customer of Choice Motor Cars. I would highly recommend to my family and friends to do business withe Choice Motor Cars... Thanks Guys Mario S read more

These guys are great! Look, I am as skeptical as anybody but these guys really are respectable. Like any major purchase you have to do your legwork. Last October I found a 2002 VW Passat with 100K miles on their website. Their advertisement matched the CarFax report so that was a match. The car was clean with none of the typical wear tear of a car of that make and mileage. Joe, the Sales Manager, took me for the test drive and he was not at all used-car-salesmany; he answered my questions and actually talked me out of getting something I did not need. He made a verbal promise to make one small repair to the breaks, which he did not write on the purchase order. I admit this made me nervous. Was this going to be his wiggle room? Nope, he delivered as promised without issue. So why did I take so long to write this? Much of that answer is that I was waiting to discover if there were any hidden problems waiting to surprise me. These guys run a good business selling quality cars at fair prices. If you are in the Plainville area give Choice Motor Car a shot! read more

Recently purchased a car here. I stopped here because I noticed an internet add for a car I wanted, after checking it out and realizing I couldn't afford it I was directed to another car of my liking, an 02 VW Jetta GLS. I was in a tough spot and they helped me out huge. I was able to get a good running car in pretty good shape for cheap, this was of course due to what I was able to spend. They also had a decent inventory of beautiful cars. Registration was easy too, they took care of that and I was able to get plates without waiting at the DMV. The only thing keeping me from giving them a five was the lack of the modern waiting area you get at the pricey dealers, they are good people and run a good business. The owner is willing to work with you rather than push you towards something you don't want like at the pricey dealers. A big plus here is that they are more than willing to fix any problems you may have noticed after your purchase, don't let that discourage you, after all, these are used cars. Happy Shopping! read more

Great sales, great service after the sale. I needed two solid cars at a great price, for my daughters. Choice Motors has a lot of inventory and quick turnover. After 6 weeks of going back and forth and doing my own research, I drove off the lot this weekend with a smoking deal on a loaded Subaru Outback Legacy. They have expert mechanics who went the extra mile to ensure the reliability or the car. They serviced a couple of minor needs on the Cherokee, our first purchase, after the sale. No complaints. Mike and Joe in sales are personable and easy to work with. Mike was thorough throughout the sale. Eddy in service is a wealth of knowledge and I am 100% confident in his work. Jacqueline their manager, does an amazing job. The impressive part is every person at Choice could and would do each others jobs because they can. They work together well and the customer. I'd like to encourage anyone looking for a car to check out Choice Motor Car. I found this dealership online and was interested in a couple of their cars, though I didn't know exactly what I wanted. The owner, Mike, personally showed me around and answered all my questions about each car. He was forthcoming and honest, and stayed within my budget without trying to oversell me a car that was out of my price range. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, and I was excited to buy a car from them. They may not be a flashy, commercialized dealership, but they offer great prices, great people, and will do their best to work with you on an individual basis. My car needed a couple of repairs before I finally took it home, and the people at Choice Motor Car made sure everything was in working order for me and were pleasant to boot. Thank you guys for getting me on the road in a safe, reliable, and affordable honda! read more

This was the first time buying a newer car in fifteen years and have to say my experience here was beyond amazing!! Searched many vehicles on the Bargain News in my price range, including the one I purchased from Choice Motors, but kept coming back to the Dodge Neon that they had. Car runs great, purrs like a kitten and is spoiling me as I'm use to a stick shift. Joe made the purchase/registration sooooooo simple, all I had to do was pick the car up and drive away. Two weeks after buying the car, one of the dash lights came on. I called, brought the car back and found that it was my error in not putting the gas cap back on tightly enough (duh-boy did I feel stupid). Even through all this, Joe and his exceptionally well qualified staff were friendly, courteous and fixed the problem. I would HIGHLY recommend Choice Motors to anyone looking for a good quality car at an affordable price and great service. read more

Choice Motor Car is by far the best car place I have ever dealt with. Between Joe and Mike, they take you step by step in a very professional way. This was my first car purchase in Connecticut and every other place could not have offered me the quality buying experience such as these gentleman. Everyone was courteous and professional. As a college student i needed something affordable yet reliable, and they found me the ideal purchase. They were upfront with pricing, disclosed all necessary information and i was in and out in a short amount of time. Both salesmen were very professional and knowledgable. I had an issue with the car after purchasing and they were very helpful from sending out a tow and having my vehicle fixed within 24 hours. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a vehicle to come here. Thank you, Choice for being good and honest people!! You saved me a lot of stress. read more
