It's really interesting how a single kpop establishment has two stores inside the same mall. The store located in front of the escalators are dedicated to CDs. They mostly offer new releases (trust me, with a variety of versions) and a few throwback albums (from the late 2010s / early 2020s). Their location on the other end of the hall (next to 그녀 샵 [Geu Nyeo Shop]) has an extensive selection of posters, lightsticks and a few souvenirs. Being a kpop stan on budget seems like an oxymoron, however I made it possible by focusing on posters during my first visit. Their posters are placed on shoebox like shelves and are labeled according to group/artist. Here's my tip upon selecting posters: be sure to read the labels above the barcode. It tells you the poster's name. However, if you'd like a sneak peek of what the poster looks like, you may search on Google or Choice Music's website to see an actual preview. Take your sweet time, as long as it's not as busy and/or if you're determined to get the poster(s) that you want. Some posters (for example Seventeen) have dedicated ones per unit (vocal, performance, hip hop) and some have all members in one poster. Surprisingly, all of my 3 posters were on sale that day. I've been shopping at Choice for some time now. I probably shop in store and on their website in equal amounts. *The one thing I wish Choice did is offer in store pick up for purchases made online. They used to allow this but disabled this option because of Covid. I feel like they can easily support this once again. IN STORE I like how everything is organized. It's easy to find things. Inventory is decent. WEBSITE The website has a nice layout and the search function works well. I haven't had any issues. SERVICE I've had a good experience every time. Today, Eunice helped me with my purchases. She took her time to go over everything with me and was really professional. The credit card readers have had issues a good number of times though. This is probably the most popular Kpop store in Los Angeles. They have a strong online presence (65k+ followers on Instagram!), so many fans come here from out of town - especially when there is a concert in the area! Be sure to check if there's a Kpop concert in the area because A LOT of stock will be sold out, especially light sticks. The prices are pretty decent here and can tend to be a bit cheaper than other stores. I recommend buying their albums that they have for pre-order because they are usually cheaper than other sites! I personally prefer going to other Kpop stores in the area since Choice Music is pretty small in size and can feel a bit cramped. Reviewing this scope based on my past experience. On the day I came to this shop (back in 2021) I was intentionally wanting to visit as many Kpop stores as I could fit in my schedule. Most Kpop stores I've visited to this point (and even now) are generally small and often sell both albums and tchotchkes (using these words in general terms). What impressed me about this store was that it seemed more albums forward and less on the tchotchkes side. And knowing I can get tchotchkes elsewhere I was fine with this. On this day's visit, this was greatly appeasing to me. The album shelves were all well organized and easy to find things. Albeit, at the time, I was baby ARMY and didn't understand all the album versions and such. I'm older ARMY so I needed to be schooled and I think I took the sales clerk by surprise that I needed a little explanation. Maybe there was a little impatience but I greatly appreciated their guidance. I walked away with three albums that day. It was also the first time I had gotten complimentary photo cards of my bias with my purchase. I don't know if the extra few cards were because I had purchased 3 albums or if this store is just generous, I felt so appreciated as a customer by this generosity. Choice Music is THE BEST place to get Kpop albums and other related items. They have a wonderful staff that is helpful and very friendly. They have great prices and usually have a very full inventory. Sometimes the more popular groups sell out quickly, but there's also an online store that you can shop from. I like shopping at Choice because they are reliable, AND they give lots of freebies! If you don't follow their Instagram yet, you definitely should because they host many giveaways which are fun to participate in. They've also been really good about enforcing Covid precautions. Kpop heaven in the city of angels! I'm from Vegas and we don't really have any shops like Choice Music, so when I saw a video about it on YouTube, I bookmarked it and paid them a visit on my recent trip down to LA. The store is located in the Koreatown Galleria. Parking was easy to find on a Friday afternoon, but this seems to be a bustling area of town, so I'd recommend trying to get there earlier in the day. The pay station was down, so we parked in the garage attached to the mall. Not sure if that's a normal thing, but something to take into consideration. Choice Music is a pretty small store, but they have a lot to offer: face masks, notebooks, posters, photo cards, lanyards, figures, magazines, and even light sticks! Of course they also sell albums that are well organized. I ended up buying 5 BTS albums. They were pretty well stocked, so I was happy. I also saw albums for Monsta X, GOT7, Twice, Red Velvet, and more. The prices were super decent. I spent less than $100 for 5 albums: score! The cashiers were very nice and even gave out free photo cards of my favorite BTS members. If you don't live in the area, they have a website as well! You can preorder goodies like albums and DVDs. A pretty solid spot to get your Kpop gear! I came here after visiting Line Friends, since I assumed Koreatown probably has a ton of gems with more fan stuff. Parking: the grocery store has an attached garage structure. Or, you can street it! Choice Music is located on the THIRD floor of Lotteria. Don't be a fool like me and wander around the first floor like a lost puppy.... The space is relatively small, but jam packed with the latest Kpop group stuff. Black Pink, Got7, BTS, MonstaX, Infinite, EXO (?), Big Bang...if there was something you were looking for in particular, you probably want to call ahead! Trinkets I saw: 3D figure key chains, decoto stickers, planners, posters, CDs, face masks, travel tag, lots more stickers....and a bunch of other stuff that you can dig through! Pricing: everything is reasonably priced (besides the Chimmy stickers that costed $32 for 18 of them), and pretty good quality! Service: the ladies were fairly quick, and it was nice that they were giving out a free picture/postcard thing if you purchased a BTS item. Overall, would come here again if I needed more items! In all my years of online purchases, this is the fastest, most safely protected package I received. When I e-mailed a question regarding my order, they responded very quickly, and helped me out well. Never been to the store but I use their online shop (I found them after covid lockdown) and I find their prices are consistently fair. Even when they stock something that's being resold at ridiculous prices I've seen it priced fair. That's speaks to their solid business ethics. Their IG is always updating their shipping schedule and they have been very transparent about how they handle the shipping delays and keeping their staff protected and out of harms way, even if it means shutting down shipping entirely. Hey if I get my album a week later and someone didn't get covid because of it then I'm more than happy to continue shopping here. They also do a ton of giveaways online I can't even keep up. Haven't been in there but a friend made a run to get stuff for our group...very happy with the price & availability of the Official BTS Merch I bought...Even got a free poster... Haha! Their prices are competitive with online prices. You can even shop with them online if you're in a rush or afraid that they'll run out of a hot item...Just choose from two options: pick up (small fee) & shipping (average shipping fee). I haven't been inside the store but the merch was good, except one box was damaged on one corner but fortunately it's a box that I'll be throwing away & not a cd or dvd box. The place was very well organized. Easy to find items. Although very small, over stressed out employees, and overly hyping items that aren't in stock. I was looking to pre-order my got7 album. I was rudely told to look on the website. I was looking for a Aghabong (Got7 lightstick) I was told rudely it was sold out. When I asked where I could find one, I was ignored. I had forgotten my wallet in the car, I told them I needed to get it. My sister went to get it, I stepped to the side to have someone else purchase their items. I was told to actually move away. I purchased a Army Bomb (BTS), the clerk was nice enough to check the batteries, as well in a hurry to tell us how to connect it to the app. Impatient for sure. Honestly, I've only have had good experience at this store! The staff are helpful and super funny, the items I want is always there, and wow the customer service! I'm always leaving with my yellow bag with a huge grin on my face. (I have a drawer filled with yellow bags in my room) When my friends get into Kpop and they're thinking about buying albums or items, I ALWAYS recommend them going to Choice Music. Because I know they're going to leave there pleased like I have. I still remember the firsts time I went to Choice Music when I was a high school student. I literally dragged my mother there and stayed inside the store for a hour because I was in awe. The staff and I had a wonderful conversation because apparently my reaction was funny and I just couldn't stop smiling. So, from what I probably wrote you can see I love this place. However, after recent actions on ChoiceMusicLa's official Instagram account regarding the cancelled BTS Seoul Tour due to the Coronavirus, this business has forgotten that it is indeed a business. The account had been insensitive to the entire situation-- it is understandable to want to spread information however the way that ChoiceMusic has gone about was highly unprofessional. Even after being told what they had said and done was unprofessional and insensitive they still tried to maintain their position and argued with those who were trying to tell them what they did/said was wrong. All of this could have been avoided had ChoiceMusic shared the information with the same severeness, and professionalism as the information warrants. There is a time and place for everything and this was not the time for ChoiceMusic to act "friendly"--it was a time for ChoiceMusic to act like the business they are. read more

Went here during COVID times and they are really good at only allowing 4-5 people in at a time and taking the temperature of their patrons, also they have a hand sanitizer at the front. Always a good experience while here, went here to pick up an ITZY album, TWICE poster's from More & More. Also, who doesn't love freebies?! CHOICE GANG. Ooooh, boy. This place is as good as you can get in my experience. I live in Chicago, so there's not much of an affordable selection around here unless you go into a Korean supermarket. From here, you can imagine how pumped I was when I saw their online store. Albums? Merch? Posters? Check. Check. Triple-checked! The albums are pretty cheap; they range from $15-25 without fees, $20-30 with the shipping & handling. Plus, when I received my TWICEtagram album, I got some extra freebies! This was definitely a plus in ordering from this store. In terms of finding the item, the site was easy enough to navigate. Each item I viewed was described with multiple photos attached. I think it took around 10 minutes to purchase, which I greatly appreciate. After all the researching to find the best price, it was relaxing to finally fill out the address forms, special requests, etc. Once the album was released, I believe it took two weeks to arrive. Choice Music is a great store and they give their customers freebies with each purchase. Last year, I visited this joint for the first time and purchased the now out-of-print I.O.I debut album, and my freebie was an AOA postcard and a Sana bookmark! Just a couple weeks ago when I was in town I picked up the TWICE Special Event DVD and I got a free Jessica poster and the the dude told me I could also have a free TWICE item and he asked who my favorite TWICE girl is. Of course, I said I am a Sana fan, and I got a Sana printed pic! The dude that runs this joint seems cool and definitely enjoys what he does. There are always a ton of customers here yet the other workers do not seem flustered or pressured. There is also a nice variety of items. I'm not really much into the other merch, just the albums, but the store offers a lot of other stuff such as mugs, pillows, and calendars. I don't know if I'm supposed to or can leave a review for products purchased online but I'll try. I purchased 4 seventeen albumns and 1 astro from ChoiceMusic LA using their online option. You know, I was sceptical of purchasing from Choice, because I read some iffy reviews on yelp, and my purchases were delayed bc of the holiday season obviously ( I admit to being impatient, sorry!) but they were very professional with my emails and phone call, and I'm impressed with their dedication to their customers amongst other things. I'm only getting to writing this review after the fact, but it's well deserved. I've bought from three different venues before and even with the delays, my purchases got to me the quickest they ever have. I recommend for anyone living in CA like me, can't say about the quickness otherwise. My sisters and me all like kpop but I bought some albums for them to open themselves and they were very happy! Both times did not disappoint :) prices range from $20-35 depending on what album you would like. Definitely comparable to ordering online, in my opinion. They even give free photocards of your bias!! :) the first time I visited, the sales rep noticed it was my first time and she helped me start a VIP rewards card (which is free by the way!).
