If I could give this store zero stars, I would…read more *This is a warning to those looking to adopt a cat or dog from this store.* PetSmart was in a partnership with Halfway Home Rescue for 17 years up until recently. Halfway Home is a well noted rescue with high standards who values the care and placement of cats and dogs. PetSmart had an area where you could see adoptable cats from Halfway Home in the store. PetSmart decided that numbers of animals moved in and out of the store were more important than the well being of the actual animals. Halfway home always takes the time to make sure to check references, vet history, home environment, and makes sure each animal has the medical care they need. Halfway Home was asked to leave because PetSmart wanted cats moved every 22 days out of the store. For anyone who has ever adopted an animal, you know this is a slower process to ensure happiness for both owner and more importantly the pet. In short, PetSmart is more concerned with the all might dollar and ultimately corporate greed. I along with many others will be boycotting this store in all locations.

The volunteer returned to dog walking in two months with a small scar, no defensive wounds, and believes she spooked the dog.

Perhaps worst of all, coupled with the price increases and policy changes, their staff members have been borderline rude the last few times I've gone. They've ignored me when I walked in until I greet them myself and even then they act as if it's a burden that I came for my scheduled appointment. It was very weird and uncomfortable. I'm disappointed because I used to recommend them highly, but I think there are better options in the area when considering the exorbitant prices, required follow up visits, and unfriendly staff.

I don't shop at Petco because I can find everything cheaper online via Amazon, Chewy, etc.,…read morehowever, I found out they offer a vaccine clinic on Sundays from 10am-12pm and 2-4pm (each location has their own day/time) and opted to give them a try since it would guaranteed be cheaper than what my vet would charge. I was recommended by a friend and fellow dog owner to arrive prior to the start time of the clinic and I ended up being first in a relatively long line of dogs and owners. Thank goodness for this, because the vet working the clinic was late. I arrived at 9:45am and my dog was seen at approximately 10:45am (this was for 3 shots which took all of 3 minutes to administer). He's very well behaved but I saw a lot of other waiting dogs getting anxious, barking, etc. and felt bad for them for having to wait so long. Each vaccine was $35. Definitely for routine yearly vaccines I will come again. The staff have a pretty organized check in process, which includes them registering you on a tablet then getting a text when it's your dogs' turn to see the vet.

They were looking to recoup the deficit as the employee undercharged me. The owner basically accused me of trying to get something for free even though I agreed to pay for the EMPLOYEES MISTAKE . Should be named the "Cheshire dog store"…read more I was heading toward Cheshire to run some errands. I was low on cat food of a specific brand (Fromm). There are several good animal feed stores in the area, so I searched for one that stocked a specific brand of dry cat food: Fromm. I found this store online, checked it out, and saw that their website showed that they stocked Fromm dry cat food. The online photo, which is a stock photo that can be found on Fromm's website, shows seven varieties. I stopped at the store when I got to Cheshire. Aside from a quick greeting when I entered the store, I didn't have any interaction with the staff during my visit. The section dedicated to dogs was large, varied and comprehensive. I had some trouble finding the cat section. I went in search of Fromm brand dry cat food and finally found a single large bag and three smaller bags on a table. They were not the variety or size that I was looking for. I decided to leave. Their dog supplies are fairly good, but the forty mile commute to Cheshire Cat and Dog is a little long. I am heading to the local Agway to stock up on Fromm dry food for cats.
