He answered my questions patiently (which was nice since we came about an hour before last order can be taken). They text you when your order is ready and have it packed up nicely. And we got a bonus crab and lots of legs for being the last order of the night. The seasoning was good and spicy. Crabs and shrimp both delicious. And the shrimp had a sweetness to it. Everything seemed fresh. It was just me and my sister but I ate 5 to 6 crabs...so happy ....I've been craving crabs for a while now.

I received a text when done and it was worth the wait. This business has a new customer. Yes, I measured the crab and each one was about the same size.

Highlights of our meal were the pan-seared diver scallops, the Lobster in the Nude (a whole lobster already removed from the shell and poached in butter, which came with potatoes and green beans), and the soft shell crabs. We were celebrating our birthday and Lena brought her the apple crisp with a candle and beautifully decorated plate. It IS pricey so it's a special occasion restaurant for me but I will visit again for lunch, as the menu is slightly different and a little less in cost.

The nachos were okay, but there was also a mix with chicken in them, and they ultimately did not end up sitting well after a few minutes and the food came out somewhat cold, so the cheese was already hardening. The branzino was the best part of the meal. The fish was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone. Pairing this with fresh pickled veggies on the side, saved the entire experience. I think they have a great selection of items on their menu, but only a few stand out. This is one of the better restaurants in Wilmington that can accommodate for many as well. Their server was somewhat attentive, and maybe just forgot about me outside, since there weren't may sitting outside. The wait for food was about half an hour, and the oyster appetizer also came out with the entrees. So, it wasn't the best way to have a meal, or it's not what I'm use to. Their cocktail options are creative and constantly changing, often featuring some unique foam toppers. On this particular occasion, I started with the Strawberry Kiwi Spice Margarita, which included some cardamom to add depth and warmth to the fruity drink. I also ordered the Apricot Ginger Sour, a consistent favorite bourbon cocktail with a little zing from the lemon foam on top. Both drinks were excellent. For starters, we selected a few of the fresh oysters as well as a scallop special made with a lemon beurre blanc. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and I was grateful the dish came with sourdough to sop up every last drop of that delicious beurre blanc. My entree was where things went awry. I tend toward pescetarian options and selected the lone fish on the menu that night: skate wing. My first few bites were great, though slightly oversalted. However, eventually the mouthfeel evolved into a burning, ammonia taste, and I unfortunately wasn't able to finish the dish. My friend who also had the skate wing, however, did not have that experience (and I tried a bite of hers to confirm, too!). I know skate wing can be tricky to prepare and this is a known potential issue, but it was disappointing.
