So far I've ordered from here about six times and my food is always been on point. I love the Thai comfort foods. Always full of great flavor great spice just great everything. Have to warn you though I love spicy food and I had asked for one of my dishes to be made using the chef spice. Fair warning the chef spice will turn you into a dragon. This is my go to in Indian Trail for Thai. The pad Thai is always consistently good with plenty of sauce on it. This visit I decided to try a Thai tea and I am so glad I did. It was delightful! Lots of great spice flavors throughout the drink. I did order it less sweet and the server made sure to put a little less coconut milk or whatever it is they use it in. Normally I love this place but I haven't been in a while. Today's was pretty disappointing. Sesame chicken was weird and didn't come with rice or anything- for $19? The spicy edamame was refrigerator cold and very different tasting - not in a good way. Everything else was warm. The Shrimp hibachi was good, but it was requested without veggies. This has been my go-to for Thai in the Charlotte area but it's been a few years since I was here. All I can say is that it's even better than before! The decor is updated, as is the menu. They offer a good selection of entrees, appetizers and sushi. Cameron, the server was fast, friendly and efficient. We had the Pad Thai (one chicken, one vegetarian/tofu) and a trio appetizer as entrees. All were fresh and delicious. The veggie pad Thai has a better selection of vegetables than any other I've had in the area. All the appetizers were well cooked, crisp and hot. FINALLY!!!! I have found a delicious Thai spot in the Charlotte area! Their spice level (1-5) is beautiful. I ordered the pad kee mow at a level five and was not disappointed. Their crab wontons were also delicious- you could tell these were made fresh and not frozen. The only sad thing was they used jalapeños instead of Thai chili but I'm willing to overlook that because the flavor profile was delicious. Ambiance is super cute- you wouldn't expect it from looking at the small plaza area from the outside. It's worth the obnoxious drive down independence! I've been intrigued by this little restaurant located off of a busy Independence Blvd in Indian Trail for the past few months, and my wife and I intentionally chose a cold rainy Saturday to try it for lunch. They offer the traditional Asian specials, however we ordered the Chicken Larb and Pho Ga, both Vietnamese specialties. Everything was delicious particularly the Larb, which I had never had before. There are a couple of South Charlotte places that have slightly better pho but not by much. Service was friendly and attentive. The dining area is polished, contemporary and full of natural light. I'm not sure if it has been recently updated, but it's nothing like the drab atmosphere that I was expecting based on some other Yelp reviews. Sanitary rating was a 96.5 and everything did indeed looked immaculate. Will return. read more

Have you ever had Pho so good you licked the takeout bowl? The beef brisket Pho soup is phenomenal and one of the best I've ever tasted!!! The Pho is a meat broth with spices and herbs, bean sprouts, and noodles. The herbs were fresh and delicious!! The broth was amazing, savory and flavorful. The beef was good and the noodles were the perfect consistency. If you are a Pho lover you know what I mean. It's like the al dente of Pho. I am truly impressed and compare it to Pho from NYC! The takeout came perfectly prepared and included a microwave safe bowl. Excellent package for reheating your leftovers! They even included a plastic soup spoon. My parents invited me to get lunch with them here. It was not busy at all for lunch time on a Saturday. The restaurant was mostly empty and was very clean from what I could tell. We picked out where we wanted to sit and were told we could scan a QR code on the table for the menu. That was pretty neat! We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls to share. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) with vegetables and tofu for myself. I was pretty disappointed that the first spring roll I bit into was frozen on the inside. It was really jarring because I never bit into something that wasn't properly defrosted like that a restaurant before, but the server took it back for us and eventually brought out some properly cooked ones. The non-frozen ones were decent! Our meals came out one by one. My mom got hers first. A few minutes later, my dad got his. I got my meal last. The Pad Kee Mao was one of the better versions of the dish that I have had over the years. The portion was perfect and there was a good noodle to veggie/tofu ratio. The whole dining experience was pretty fast, the food was good, and our server was polite and attentive the whole time. I just have to dock a star for the spring rolls being frozen initially and the dishes coming out at random intervals. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion, though! read more

I have delayed posting a review of this restaurant and food, because of trying to see if any of the meals we have eaten did not turned out well, but every meal has been fantastic. My wife and I eat here at least twice a week, either in restaurant or by takeout and have never been disappointed. Wonton soup? Excellent. Miso Ramen soup? Excellent. And our favorite, Butterfly roll? Excellent. I haven't even talked about the service. Very friendly individuals working here and they always make you feel welcome. Me and my husband ordered here for "date night" tonight. We ordered the orange chicken, pad tai, and crab ragoons. We didn't like any of it. The pad tai was so bland and barely had any flavor. The crab ragoons were cold and hard, couldn't even eat them. The orange chicken was okay but had a weird flavor. We've had a lot of Indian and Chinese food and this was by far the worst. This has become our Official FAVORITE restaurant ever since we found it! We have to drive about 40 miles to get there, so we usually go for special occasions only. If we lived nearby we'd eat there all the time! The folks who run it are always so pleasant & casual, it really makes you feel welcome & relaxed. The interior is relatively small and has minimalist decor, but we like it. Again, it makes us feel very relaxed, comfortable and focused on the AMAZING palette pleasures. The menu selection is quite good. We have found all our favorite foods & relish the time we have spent there. We've never been disappointed. We both highly recommend Chokh Di Noodle House! I was super hungry for Thai food, missing my home and family in Krabi, Thailand, so I searched for Thai food and ran across Chokh Di Noodle House. Authentic Thai food is hard to find in most small towns, and after reviewing the menu, I was a bit skeptical as they have a wide range of Asia foods, and if I eat Thai, I want it to come from a Thai. Maybe I'm a bit prudish, but I believe in supporting the culture and there's just something in the DNA of the person preparing foods from their own culture. Anyway, I decided to give it a try, as Chokh Di () is a Thai saying meaning good luck. When I walked in the place it was spotless. I was greeted by an super polite young man and I saw a young Asia gentleman behind the counter. I ordered the Thai tea, spring rolls and beef red curry. The place was steady with takeout and was filling up fast. Obviously a popular place. When my food arrived, it was spot on! The spring rolls maybe some of the best I've ever tasted. The Thai tea was perfectly blended and not a hint of bitterness. The curry was perfectly balanced and just like back home. Equal or better to any I've ever had, barring my wife's, of course! A little extra info for those who care to read: I was finally able to speak to the Asian gentleman behind the counter. I addressed him in Thai language and he reply! His name is Noi. I was thrilled, as it's really difficult to keep sharp in my language skills when I'm not home. I come to find out he is Lao, but comes from just across the river from Nong Kai, in the Isaan region of northeastern Thailand, where my wife is from. The Thai and Lao community are close there and they even have a high bred, Isaan language, a blend of Thai and Lao. Anyway, turns out his family spends a lot of time in Isaan. His Thai dishes are spot on. He also informed me that his wife is Vietnamese. That would explain the Vietnamese dishes. If his wife is half the cook he is, the Pho must be amazing. I look forward to trying it in the future. If you're looking for outstanding, authentic Thai food, you owe it to yourself to try this place. You will not be disappointed. This place was to die for! I got the Pho Ga and it was the best pho i've ever had. I came in on a Saturday at around 2 but the food came out quick and looked very presentable. So I will start with a positive; the gentleman working in the front of the restaurant was doing his best and could not have been nicer trying to cover up for the ineptitude of the kitchen. Now, the review: Experience: I arrived a little after 20 minutes from placing my to-go order (as indicated when the order was placed). There were 5 or 6 empty tables with dirty dishes piled everywhere. I then waited another 20 minutes for my order to be ready. Spoiler...the order was wrong... Crab Rangoon and Spring Rolls: these were your standard fare, freezer aisle at your local grocery store offering. Basil chicken fried rice: the best of the dishes with fresh elements and good flavor Shrimp tempura sushi: could not tell you because after I made it home, I realized it was not in any of the four bags. Tried calling the restaurant, but could not get anyone on the phone. I will assume that $30 is lost forever Chicken Pad Thai: maybe in restaurant when it is fresh out of the kitchen this is a decent plate. For takeout, it had the consistency of chewing on a wet roll of paper towel. Chicken Yellow Curry: zero flavor. This restaurant was supposedly awarded one of the best Thai restaurants in Charlotte for 2022. There must be better options. Otherwise, rethink your desire for Thai food tonight. read more
