This place is a total hidden GEM! The service was fast, fresh and super delicious. I came during lunch peak hours and was immediately served. Food portions are big enough for 2. It is a small Chinese, Japanese and Thai food restaurant owned by a couple. CAUTION: Their version of HOT SPICY is actually EXTRA HOT SPICY. Very clean, smells amazing and plenty of parking since most people order to go.

This place is a hidden gem on the east side. Good habachi. Always fresh. Good service

Yelpers! Y'all have steered me wrong this time. Bad. I called in an order for the hibachi chicken lunch special with fried rice & broccoli. Lunch special is now 7.99 which is fine, whatever. The problem today was the food. I kid you not... this chicken is either from a can or extremely old. Perhaps cooked prior & frozen? The texture was messed up, I didn't swallow one piece. The white sauce was sickly sweet. So I paid almost $10 (8.65 meal with tax plus $1 tip) for some fried rice and steamed broccoli today.

Our server Abby R was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a trio of appetizers for the table: Szechuan dumplings, wonton chips with crab Rangoon dip, and KFC (Korean fried chicken). The wings were as good as expected, great flavor, piping hot and crunchy. The real surprise was the wonton and Rangoon dip combination. Just a stellar idea, executed spectacularly. The Szechuan dumplings were a little spicy and tasty, but they were just warm, which gave them an oily mouth feel. I got a to-go order of pork fried rice, and I have to say, I could've done without it. Pulled pork just doesn't go with fried rice, flavorwise or texturally. The biggest disappointment about the meal was when I attempted to settle my tab. I walked to the front counter and was confronted by a young woman who snapped, "We don't take money up here!" Thankfully, Abby came out and took my payment, but the first young lady was so offputting, it will be a while before I go back, if ever. Definitely not how you convert a first-timer into a regular customer.

A New Sushi Obsession: 5 Stars for a Flawless First Visit!…read more It's rare that a first-time visit completely knocks it out of the park, but this place is doing something special. If you are a sushi lover, stop reading this and just go. The Starters We kicked things off with the Tora Poke Tuna appetizer, and honestly, I could have ordered three more and called it a night. The fish was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and had that melt-in-your-mouth quality that sets great sushi apart from the "just okay" spots. The Roll Breakdown The sushi rolls here are creative, generous with the portions, and--most importantly--high quality. * Tuna on Tuna Roll: For the purists who can't get enough, this is a masterpiece. Double the tuna, double the flavor. It really showcased the freshness of their catch. * Queen Charlotte Roll: I'll be honest, I was on the fence about the strawberry salsa. Fruit on sushi can be a gamble, but trust me: it is a must-try. The sweetness of the salsa cuts through the richness of the fish perfectly. It's a total flavor bomb. * Carolina Roll: I really liked this one, though it's definitely the "indulgent" choice. It's fried and features cream cheese, which I loved, but it's worth noting that it's quite heavy. If you aren't a fan of tempura-style or creamy rolls, it might not be your vibe--but if you are, it's a home run. The Verdict The atmosphere was great, the service was attentive, and the food was phenomenal. It's safe to say I've found my new favorite spot. 1000% will be back to see what else they have up their sleeve!

Our only complaint was that we ordered a sushi roll and when it came out the fish was dark grey and didn't look or smell the best. We sent it back and just opted to skip the sushi for that day. I do want to go back and try it again because everything else we had was really good. I really enjoyed the sake and the wings. There's plenty of parking here and their menu has some really good offerings. Will definitely come back again!

There were only 4 of us. They have 4 VERY low chairs at the front to wait. It was a Monday and there were only about 5 tables of people ... the rest of the restaurant was empty. So it was ridiculous to ask us to wait in the uncomfortable low chairs. I grabbed one of the chairs from the empty tables and used it to wait. When all arrived, we sat at a table near a window for the view. Our waiter took our order.... and then we waited, and waited, and waited. Omgosh it took so long for our food to come out. Everyone at our table commented they probably only had one cook. Finally when the food arrived, it really was good. I got the pineapple glazed salmon ($46) with coconut rice ($10). The salmon was thick and very good. Coconut rice was made from coconut milk and also very good. 2 ladies got sushi and said it was good. For my birthday, the waiter brought out a small treat. After dinner, we went on the rooftop to see the view.

A few minutes after my friend and I (walk-ins) ordered on the patio, I was asked to insert my card for a $50 pre-authorization. I've dined at many upscale restaurants and have never been asked to pre-authorize my card after ordering at a sit-down table. When the charge posted instead of simply dropping off, I called the manager. She apologized, confirmed it would be returned to my card (it was), and told me this was standard policy for all guests due to walkouts. However, I couldn't find any mention of this policy on their website or in the restaurant. A few days later, I called as a customer to ask about their payment policies. I was told that neither walk-ins nor reservations are required to pre-authorize a card, except for certain pre-booked experiences. When I explained what had happened, the employee was surprised, apologized, and said they had never heard of that happening. I have no issue with restaurants using pre-authorizations--as long as the policy is clearly disclosed and applied consistently. For example, VINYL in Charlotte explicitly tells guests that everyone is subject to a pre-authorization, so there are no surprises. Based on my experience, this policy was neither transparent nor consistently applied, and the conflicting explanations left me questioning why I was asked to pre-authorize my card when other guests were not. Because of that, I'll choose to spend my money elsewhere. Why was I asked to whip out my card & pre-authorize a $50 charge immediately after ordering when it's not standard policy and other guests weren't asked to do the same? How do you pick and choose which guests to pre authorize? What are you basing it on?

We had a great server and customer service was great-- the problem area was the food. We ordered the same thing we always get Korean wings, cauliflower bites, crab rice, and bang bang shrimp. Long story short, I want our money back or a better experience. The cauliflower bites were so small and broken down it could've been made into rice. Flavor was phenomenal but the cauliflower was definitely missing and just seemed like batter in a bowl. The bang bang shrimp-- y'all need to use large 16-20 shrimp with texture and serve them whole (proof they used to be see previous reviews video). Also they were small pieces and fried way too hard-- so CHEWY! The fact that they're now chopped into little pieces and fried is crazy, it takes away from the entire dish and again, you're eating fried batter mostly. The Korean wings?! The first time we had this they were glazed, flavorful, charred, and sticky with sauce (see previous photos). This sauce was runny, thin, and slid right off of the wings and left it flavorless and I had to ask for more sauce to get through it. My husband never leaves any wings behind and we left two. I was really disappointed in the inconsistency of the food and it just didn't land well for me. I'm upset.

There was no one there to really greet me so walked over to the table where group that I was meeting was. With over 20 people in the group, the restaurant was able to accommodate nicely with service being very good with timely drink refills. For the food, it was ok, I wouldn't say that it was the best Chinese food I've ever ate. I've had better at cheaper places. For the price, the food wasn't worth what was charged. I ordered beef and vegetables which did not include rice that was charged separately. The beef slices were thin and found bone in one piece after I tasted and spit out; vegetables were tasty. Rice tasted very dry and wasn't sticky and moist. I'm glad that I tried but found the food to be very expensive especially since it was just okay. But I don't think I would visit again.
