Solo Monday lunch at Be's did not disappoint! Everyone in the restaurant was eating alone, so it did not feel strange to do so. Ate and read my book for an hour. Fresh spring rolls were delicious! Saved one for a snack later. The pho was amazing too. It's hard to find pho that has flavorful broth, but they did it. So glad I finally tried this place out! I pass by it all of the time when I go to the Publix right next to it. I only got two things but let me tell you those two items were really delicious and I would get them over and over again. The first item was their crunchy egg rolls, not greasy like your typical egg roll with a savory juicy pork & veggie filling and came with a chili garlic sauce that was to die for... I wish they would bottle and sell that sauce bc I would use it on just about everything. To wash all the savory spicy goodness down I opted for the mango milk smoothie. Don't skip on this place! The sandwiches are so good and they don't cheap out on meats either. I hope they don't change that. I usually have to go all the way into CLT for a bahn mi but now I won't have too. Hoping to come sit in and try the pho and rolls soon too. The way they're set up is also super convenient. I want to start by saying your slice beef Pho is our family's absolute favorite. We use to drive all the way to Ballantine to enjoy your pho and we're delighted when the Sun Valley location opened. We are repeat customers. During Covid, my daughter and I ate pho from your restaurant at least once a week enjoying the rich and delicious broth. It was always a nutritious and delicious meal. Very consistently good quality. Today, we notice the beef in the pho was very light in color before we put it in the broth. My daughter thought it was chicken, it looked like more like pork to me . We excused this thinking at least the broth would be delicious. The pho broth today was weak and different. Very underwhelming. What happened to your pho and beef? I started at their first location in Ballantyne at least once a month and was happy when the Monroe location opened up since it's closer to my work. Since then I estimated between 50-60 visits since and the last 3 visits left me totally disappointed. The service and food was great but now they would bring out the bun bo hue ( spicy noodles) or the pho dac biet (beef combo) and forget to give me the bean sprouts/basil ect. I always wait until I need to go to the counter and ask. Today was even worse. I requested extra side vegetables which is $2 extra and this is what I got. Two small stems of basil which is the usual without the extra charge. Also there was no tendon as listed on the menu. Same thing last month with my bun bo hue. I like consistency and they fell short. It wasn't like that when they first opened which is why I loved them. The staff always acknowledged you with a "thank you" or "bye" but nothing on the last two visits. They're behind the counter staring down at their phone. I will save myself the time driving out there since it's no longer worth it. read more

After driving around to find somewhere different to eat in NC, we arrived at a small shopping center and found this little diamond in the rough. In Covid times, that put me at ease tbh. Our food came out quickly. I ordered the Bahn Mi pork sandwich. I had never ordered one before, so I was totally being open to trying something new. Let me tell you, this sandwich packed flavor, wasn't skimpy on the meat or veggies & the sauce left a nice delicate, yet savory note at the end. The hubby had the combination Bun. It included grilled pork & shrimp that were charred perfectly. The fish sauce had just the right amount of punch to add an nice amount of heat to the dish. My boys ordered the rice with pork. It was a hefty size of grilled pork with rice & fresh veggies. Baby boy had the kids pho with beef. Let me say this. If the kids pho is this big, I'm terrified to know how big the adult pho is! The broth off the beef pho was heavenly!! To end the meal, I decided I wanted to sample some bubble tea. Something I have never tried. I ordered cookies & cream milk tea & passion fruit green bubble tea. Discovered that I'm not a milk fan, but my boys loved it, but the passion fruit was all mine!!! Yummy! As a Vietnamese person that's lives in rural Indian trail North Carolina, it is nice to have a Vietnamese restaurant in the Sun Valley area. Americans will think the pho is good but they don't know real pho. When I had the pho, it was decent but the broth is very salty and I can tell the msg is used pretty heavily. Pricing is high but typical because there is no competition around here. Banh mi was pretty good to me but again overpriced. The positive about this place is the boba tea is high quality and I will be coming back for that!! read more
