Bibimbap to go. With beef. So freaking great!
    Rick L.

Do NOT pass this place by. Yes, it is a one woman show. And you do not get 6 or 8 side dishes. But the food was REALLY GOOD! And it took a while to get our order, but it was worth it. AND she made Mandy from scratch for us, cuz she was out. And they were best since Korea. Wife got pork gogi. I got the LA Kalbi. The Kalbi were whole beef rib bones, not the silver dollar sized sliced up Korean style cut beef rib. BUT she peeled the meat from the length of the beef bone, they were marinated, it was only 15 bucks, tender and tasty. The rice killed. Had a side of spinach. I guess cuz I am white (meegook) I had to ask for the side dishes (ban chan) and only got three, but they were good. My review of the Cleveland Korean restaurant still stands, still best just because of all the sides. But this place, "Chongs", had the best tasting Kalbi and rice. Just a smaller menu, and slower. But you can call in your order, or after you have been there you can get her text number and text it in. And NO dol-sut bibimbap, but a great selection on the one page menu. And you can byob (makes it worth the trip from ohio alone!). Just be PATIENT, and you will be rewarded. Going back for the squid soon as I can. Love me some spicy squid and veggies! And again, the yaki mandu rocked! Next time, couple of kim-bap. Two rolls for 7 bucks. Worth a 40 mile drive from anywhere. And beat driving to Pittsburgh. And better than Golden Pig. By a little bit, they are both good, but this was a slight edge out. If you are familiar with Golden Pig, you know what this place is like. Went today, still great! Bi bim bap is soooo good! Added pic. This place should be as busy as one person can handl And again, I mean, she doesn't have all the ban Chan but will give joy what she has on hand. And she ALWAYS HAS SQUID!!! Frozen. Then she slices it up and cooks it, well duh of course. It smells, the whole place smells, like when I went out the first night I was in Korea. Or did I say that? I love the place!!!!

    Menu June 2019

First time trying...we weren't sure what to order since there aren't any recent menus so we decided to go in and place our order in person. The owner/chef/waitress let us in ( she keeps the door locked and you ring the doorbell). She is super sweet!! we placed our order of 3 yelp recommended items - bimimbap, japchae and taegigogi, and told her we would be back to pick it up. She had our food ready in 20min, she does accept debit/credit. She told us that we can text or call in our order next time ...which I absolutely love!! The car ride home was torture with the smell of the food teasing my nose. The food did not disappoint, it was amazingly delicious ! We will be back!

Nen Be U Dong - Super Flavorful Noodle Bowl!

Korean food always wins if it appears in our local Yelp searches, especially with rave reviews. We walked away raving, as well. My Nen Be U Dong Noodle bowl (handwritten on the bottom of the menu) was so flavorful in an incredibly seasoned broth & big enough to share with my husband. He gave me the sad face when there was only a little left so I passed it over. My Taegi Gogi (pork Bulgogi) was perfectly seasoned & served with sauced spinach & rice. All 3 items mixed together were a perfect bite! My husband ordered Pork Bibimbap which he also enjoyed. Our last 3 Korean restaurant stops have been run by amazing women doing literally everything alone. Mrs. Chong asked if we'd called our order in advance & informed us that's preferred so we wouldn't have had to wait. She's literally all alone here & wants to make sure her guests are not waiting if things get busy. Being literally across the street from Geneva College, she likely gets very busy! This delightful Korean restaurant is only a 30 minute drive for us - yes, I'll be phoning in orders for more of Mrs. Chong's Korean cooking!

Kimbap and cold cucumber noodle were delicious!

It's a hole in the wall, which is usually where one finds good authentic foods. We've asked if they can specifically make our food vegan, and everything we've ever tried has been delicious, from seaweed rolls stuffed with vegetables and fruit to a variety of hot and cold noodles, and delicious kimchee. Shall return again and again :)

I love the food. I love the lady. I love the charm. For me, it is worth the drive. I haven't been there in a while, and writing this review is making me sad and hungry. I've taken a few guests here, who were impressed. If you ever wanted a Korean grandmother, this is your chance. I've had mandoo, pancake, bibimbap, bulgogi, ramen, and a few other dishes. I love the simplicity of the restaurant and the menu. The food is always good and fresh, though you may wait awhile. I live in Pittsburgh, and as far as I can tell, there is no finer Korean Restaurant. (Though the Golden Pig may be a tie.) Wonderful experience every time. She's a local business owner that deserves your support.

^^ Homemade Mandu. It is a rarity to go to a Korean restaurant I'm pittsburgh and get handmade Mandu.

!!! What a pleasant surprise! Chongs Is a bit of a loner in comparison to the other Korean restaurants around pittsburgh. A well hidden gem in Beaver Falls, I decided it was time to try it :) First off the two women working were amazingly sewer towards my fiance and I. Very welcoming and kind. The wait is quite a bit and they do recommend you call ahead, but if you don't have anything to do and you arrive early enough (we arrived at 630) it isn't bad at all! It gave us some good time to relax and talk. The food was outstanding. Knowing the two women working went back and cooked it all felt really good and it showed in the food. Everything came out piping hot and fresh. Handmade Mandu in Pittsburgh is a rarity. I haven't been to a restaurant that had that so it was a very pleasant surprise to see they had made it right then and there. I really enjoyed chongs and we will definitely return. . ^^

This is the best Korean food we have had in years. The food was both authentic and delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and served piping hot with great care by the owner, Mrs. Chung. We were amazed that this gem of a Korean restaurant exists in Beaver Falls, PA. We were the only customers in the place for lunch today (Tuesday). If Chungs were located in Eastern PA it would have been packed. Simply said, the food was amazing and we ate much as we could. Actually we order five separate meals and also a take out order of shrimp fried rice.

    Every visit = clean plate

Mrs Chong is the hardest working chef/waiter/hostess/server/dishwasher in the restaurant business. Mrs C embodies the one-man band spirit. Every dish is made from scratch. There will be a wait as you watch meals come out of the kitchen one at a time. We've eaten there so many times she knows our orders. Portions are plentiful, side dishes change frequently, and prices are very reasonable.

Unlike some other hot pot places I've been to, this place only charges for one pot and not for the food you get. I ordered everything that was available and it was all better then the last. I would especially recommend the pork, it was delicious! I had 3 orders of it. As I mentioned before, the food is delicious! While I couldn't get a photo, there was also a sauce bar. You had the option to get a premade one or get your own. I chose to make a teriyaki sauce and it was amazing! Definitely recommend checking it out while waiting for food to arrive. The waiter was so nice, I didn't catch his name but rest assured all of the staff is so nice and kind! They are very informative and know what dishes are good and bad. Now for the part that is hardest to nail down, the restaurant ambiance. I normally don't write about ambiance because to describe an amazing place to someone with just a few words is hard to do, but I felt I had to do it for this one. The restaurant looks very authentic and it is clear that they respect the culture that they represent.

I wouldn't really call this a supper club to be honest but the place definitely carries a house music bar vibe and the back bar area and seating is very dimly lit, perfect for cozying up and enjoying a drink late night. The ladies' room was so dark, I mistook it for a storage area because I could only make out a white ladder in the corner that was being used as cute shelving. The place is seat yourself. Our waiter was not super friendly and didn't offer to give us napkins or anything when our wobbly table caused our drinks to splash all over the place. The cook served our chicken with a big smile and happy interaction and we really loved his personality. The bartender also stopped by to bus our table and he was very pleasant as well. We enjoyed the perfectly fried small plate cauliflower with the plum sauce and the fried cheese/garlic wonton bites with the sriracha mayo spicy dipping sauce. The fried chicken breast on the large plate was slightly overcooked with a maple gochuchang sauce that was very bland. We were so thankful that the large plate fried chicken came with a side salad to offer some respite from the heaviness of the fried dishes. It would have been great to have some side acidic or fresh vegetable options like Kimchi or something. Maybe we tried the wrong dishes and there are other not fried things that are delicious? The dirty martini cocktail was just so-so, not really much flavor at all, but the mojito was very good and refreshing. It's probably a good late-night place for a bite and drink.

Unfortunately, my experience was not great...not totally awful, but there is lots of room for improvement. I stopped in around 1:00 on a Saturday, and it was still kind of hard to park in their tiny lot. To a person, the staff all seemed annoyed to be there, and that kind of flavored my experience. They have lots of interesting items on their menu for a BBQ place - pork buns, etc. - but for my first meal I went with the basics. I ordered a brisket sandwich, the mac-n-cheese, and a coke. I was given a number to put on my table, and then sat down. The sandwich was soon delivered, but no side. When I asked about my mac-n-cheese I was told "it's coming later" in a less than friendly tone. The brisket was a bit dry and chewy, and there was nothing else on the sandwich. The mac-n-cheese was far less impressive. This was not a scoop of grandma's baked goodness, but something more institutional...basically boiled pasta with a bland and watery sauce. Everyone can have a bad day, so I will likely give Mitch's another shot, but I was not happy during my first visit.
