    Roast Pork Egg Roll

Was nice on the inside. Like nice-for-a-plaza Chinese take out. Got the lunch moo goo GAO pan lunch special. Not greasy, lots of chicken. But... the fried rice was a bit crunchy. It is that yellow fried rice you find so often. The egg roll that came with it was good. But back to the moo... Overall, solid three star. If I ate there, the dining area is VERY clean. Would not have a problem with eating in. Added a couple pix. But back to the meal. Really bland. Lots of chicken. Mushrooms. No onion or garlic or flavor at all really. But still ok. I can see grandma and grandpa loving the flavor, or lack thereof. Next day update. Pint of sweet and sour shrimp. Very good. No veg in sauce, that keeps score at three stars. One unique thing they do is, any fried food to go, they really shake off the oil. And put it on a napkin in the box or bag when the wrap it up. So, nice touch!

I love their takeout! Always consistent with their food and recipes. Good homey Chinese American food.

Solid Chinese food. One thing i particularly like is how fresh and crispy their vegetables are. Some places fry them too long.

The restaurant is clean, but I didn't enjoy my food, most of which was heavily breaded, at least to me .

It's great food for the price! Quick grab and go. There are better places but they cost ALOT more.

She brought us a pot of tea and some hot sake that was kept warm in a tea pot filled with warm water which was really great. She also brought a beer that we had to open and pour which seemed odd since they have a full bar. I started with some hot and sour soup that arrived lukewarm at best. The flavor was good with just the right amount of heat but it definitely needed to be warmer. Our main entrees were the shrimp, chicken & scallops with garlic sauce and vegetables; the eggplant and shrimp; and the healthy steamed chicken with broccoli. It really pains me to say this but all three dishes were not served hot and the sauces were really not heated through and the flavors were so disappointing - nothing like the Chen's we knew and loved. The veggies in the first dish were raw and hard peppers and onions and carrots and the broccoli was very raw and barely even heated in the healthy chicken dish. The shrimp were very good and the eggplant was tasty. Maybe there is a new chef or this was just an off night. Very disappointing meal, we are sorry to say.

We ordered takeout this time, and the overall experience was great. We placed an order online, and everything was very neatly packaged and ready to go when expected. The food even travelled fairly well, such that it was still in good shape after traveling home. The restaurant itself is in a bit of a drab strip mall, but it's generally nicely decorated with colorful signage and a nicely kept interior. In terms of the food, the shrimp spinach dumplings were really nicely done, with lots of flavor and texture. My partner especially enjoyed the barbecue pork bao, which were nicely steamed with a very flavorful filling. The egg tart was good, but not really my thing. It had a bit of a caramelized sugar flavor reminiscent of waffles with syrup. The spicy oil splashed noodles, one of the noodle dishes on the menu, was generally lacking: some nice toppings, but not much flavor. Overall, this is a nice little place that seems to be fairly well run. I suggest going for the dim sum and giving up on expectations for anything on the menu that isn't dim sum. Find another restaurant for your main course.

Sometimes I find that food quality suffers a little by the time it gets home but that was not the case here. I was super impressed about how well packed it was and how warm all my food was when I opened it at home. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of tables available for smaller or bigger groups. Their service is quick both when you are dining in and for takeout. The staff is really nice and helpful in providing recommendations.
