She COULD HAVE rejected us and not seated us. YOU SAID: "......after serving your table and asking for any needs in between, our employees have gone back to your table AT 9:55 PM to alert you that the restaurant is closing in 5 minutes. Then, they carried along with their duties to get ready for closing." I'm sure customers are aware as to what time restaurant closes, no need to reiterate. She said that the restaurant is closing in 5 minutes, INSINUATING that we should "finish eating FAST and get the hell out of here" because staying past closing time is taboo. Explain to me why other restaurants my crew and I been through, never we felt similar experience as this? My crew and I witnessed a plethora of groups coming in EVEN 20-15 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING. The restaurants could have rejected them and not seated them, but instead....they WELCOME them with OPEN ARMS.......GREETED us with a SMILE.....and PATIENTLY wait for us to finish our meal. I went here with some coworkers and a pretty bad experience. We all ordered the $12/13 chicken tender meals, and the amount of food was SEVERELY lacking. Each order was about 1/4 lb of tenders. Also, the tenders strips were VERY thin and dry. To top it off, they charged gratuity because our group was 5 people. A gratuity at a place like this? Never have I spent $18 for a lunch/meal and left starving. The service was also very poor. We were there at lunch time, and there was exactly one other table occupied. I asked for some additional radish (side dish served with meal) and waited about 10 minutes before having to ask AGAIN before they finally brought it. I had ordered the whole chicken to go from here before and enjoyed it (still a bit pricey), but I don't think I'll give them any more business after the horrible lunch experience I had with my coworkers. Best fried chicken I've had so far. American or korean or whatver. The best of all. And I like my fried chicken I've been if not to all chicken wing restaurant here in ATL. Sauce is just right not to exaggerated like most American chicken wings. Super crispy, very juicy and right size for the wings. Rice is perfect with it, but they do have fries and coleslaw too. Worst. Service. Ever. My husband and I ordered 3 dishes: fried chicken wings, spicy fried gizzards, and a side of curly fries. The server told us that they were out of spicy sauce, so we said regular fried gizzards were fine. Only one dish came out and it was the wrong dish. When we asked where the rest of our food was, the server said the kitchen didn't receive our order. Not a surprise since he thought he had the ability to memorize 3 dishes and didn't want to write anything down. The one dish we did get was the spicy fried chicken. We tried this because we had a coupon for buy one get one and glad I had the coupon so was not as disappointed. As I told my wife, honey without the coupon this would have cost 31.00 and at that it would get a one star. OK first they need to improve there side offerings, for $5.00 you basically get what would be a large order of Curly Fries at Arby's, its either that or some coleslaw that's also $5.00. We had the snow curry double cooked wings and also Ginger tenders. The tenders were good, sort of like a tempura fry, really only reason I give it a 3 stars. The wings were OK but nothing to rave about. They also give you what I think are Korean radishes, not sure what they are called. First bite not bad, but the more I ate the less I liked. My husband loves this place and has asked to go at least once every weekend so far. Location- Located next to the recently opened Ding Tea, this place is the new "it" chicken spot in Duluth for Korean fried chicken. Parking- This place is very popular on the weekends and so are the neighboring businesses so parking is difficult to find (heads up). Wait- Even though we always go during prime time we have never had to wait for a table. Tip- once seated order something to snack on like fries as a appetizer because once you order there is a small wait due to how popular this place is. And also depending what you order (whole chickens takes slightly longer than wings). Food - The main dish to get seems like the snow onion chicken (wings or whole chicken). It basically fried chicken topped with raw onion and sauce. The sauce is really good. And its easy to make at home if you need to make more! My husband also recommends the garlic spicy wings. Bad costumer service don't go here. They dot. Listen to what you want and they refuse to fix the order seen call ahead for pick up. Its happens multiple times. It`s korean style fried chicken place we ordered half of just original and half of garlic spicy chicken. It was pretty good except one piece of chicken was very salty but overall tasty chicken. Came here today for the first time and was really excited to try it, but I guess I came at the wrong time when the servers were about the end their shift (around 4pm). As soon as I entered I could tell the server taking me to my table and the one taking my order were both irritated I was there. When giving the server my order, she repeated it back to me, but she was speaking so quickly that I could not really understand her, so I assumed she got it right (she did not write anything down either). One of our orders came out wrong. We ordered the garlic spicy chicken, but we got the garlic soy chicken instead. This is understandable because they sound similar so she must have just misheard. But when we told her, she told us that since she repeated it back to us and we said ok, that she could not do anything. After seeing that we were not pleased with the response, then she finally said she will bring out a bowl of the garlic spicy sauce, and we could just dip it in. We were super confused about why she could not just bring the order we originally wanted and instead just insinuated it was our fault she got the order wrong. While we were eating we saw she left because her shift must have ended, so we figured it was probably because we came while she was trying to leave. Garlic soy chicken tenders: this is the incorrect order that we were brought and it was just ok. The spicy garlic sauce the server brought us was fine, but it had a sweet note to it. Red hot pepper tikkudak: if you come here, the tikkudak is the thing you need to try. It was unfortunate that we did not have a good experience with the server because this was the best chicken I have ever had. The red pepper one was super hot but not too hot to enjoy. Choong Man Chicken - Korean Near Me - Duluth, Georgia

So this korean chicken (franchise) place is pretty good but it's different from your typical korean spicy tongdak(whole chicken). I would say your typical korean spicy chicken would be chicken that is deep fried, and covered in a thick, sweet, spicy sauce. The chicken here is lightly battered with a light coat of whatever flavor you order. They have regular deep fried chicken, and then a "tikkudak" which is a technique where they deep fry it, then bake it for a more crispier crunch and smokier flavor. Please keep in mind that if you order tikkudak, depending on if they're busy or not, it could take an hour or maybe even longer. This restaurant is located on the far right side of the plaza, which used to be JM Bar. They have the kitchen and cash register in the back, and it seems like a lot of people order to-go. I have been there twice now, and although the chicken is good, the service is consistently SUPER slow. They will bring your pickled cubed radish that you eat with your chicken, but your chicken won't be out for another 40min-1hr from the time you ordered. I am assuming that they only have one cook in the back. If you come in when it's busy, be prepared to wait over 30min for your chicken. Don't go in if you're already hangry. The first time I went, we waited for over 40min for our chicken, and what upset me is that they served a group of people who came way after us (seemed like they were friends of the servers), which I thought was not fair at all since we ordered before them (could you tell I was hangry). The flavors that I have tried: Spring onion chicken, Red pepper fried chicken, Red Pepper Tikkudak, Garlic Soy Tikkudak. The spring onion is probably my favorite flavor because of the creamy sauce and fresh onions that come on top of it. The sauce tastes like a mix of mayo and some fruits, but I could be wrong. If you don't like fresh onions, you might still like the chicken itself with the sauce. They will warn you that the red pepper fried chicken is really spicy, but I thought it was just moderately spicy (the spiciness builds up the more you eat). I preferred the regular red pepper chicken to the tikkudak version. Lastly, the garlic soy tikkudak was pretty tasty. Since it is was baked in addition to the deep fry, it smelled like burnt chicken. My initial thought after smelling it was that they deep fried it in old oil, but the server said the smokey smell came from the oven. I didn't remember the Red pepper tikkudak smelling like this so I was a bit confused, but nevertheless, the flavor grew on me the more I ate it, and it was pretty good once I got past the burnt smell. On my first visit, we ordered regular fries and coleslaw. I would say the cole slaw was pretty good but it was a bit on the small side. The regular fries weren't that great because it tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp. The second time I went, we got an order of curly fries and they were a lot better. *Also, their tap water tasted funny to me. Overall, this place has good fried chicken, but the wait time is way too long. I hope they hire more cooks so people aren't waiting so long. I'll probably be back in a few months to see if they improve. read more

I've been here four times in the last couple months and I don't even live anywhere near Duluth. There are many Korean fried chicken places in Atlanta, but this one is the best one for me. Many of my friends like their snow onion friend chicken. My favorite flavors are the curry friend chicken and the soy garlic fried chicken. The flavors are done very well, and the chicken is crispy yet tender. We've also had their regular fries, which are pretty good as well. The service is great and the pickled radish is delicious and they are not stingy about them either. My fiancé and I often crave the fried chicken from this place, so we will definitely be back in the near future! read more

The couple of reviews before this one drew me in to try this spot- and I'm definitely glad I came for lunch today! I had the curry flavored fried chicken for the lunch special ($7.99)- 6 pieces of chicken (from various pieces of the bird- although they normally give a leg/thigh), along with fries and cole slaw. The chicken had a nice crispy AND crunchy texture, and was coated with a soy garlic curry glaze that had the right balance of savory and hint of sweet, and gave just the right amount of kick. Really really good Korean fried chicken spot in Duluth. I had the garlic spicy wings (AMAZING) and snow onion tenders and I shared with someone and it was more than enough. I will say though, if you aren't a fan of onion, the snow onion can become very bitter after a few of these cause the onion is raw. Maybe just for me personally, but just something to keep in mind if you're planning on ordering it. The sides are ok, and I do feel they need a little more variety as far as that. However, the service here needs work. I hate to leave negative things about service being in the industry myself. But there was two girls running around like crazy and there was only 4 tables in the restaurant...it's not their fault though, they definitely need more people here. But I don't love when I'm waiting for a while and the server walks past me without looking so that she can go sit down and finish eating her food :( a little unprofessional. My friend was also treated rudely when she visited and told me about her experience. Overall, I think the food is delicious! This is the best chicken place I have ever been to & I mean that wholeheartedly. The service was amazing. Both of the ladies that were working were very sweet & polite. The menu is very straight to the point & everything is organized. Now I've been to plenty of chicken places but this by far has the best tasting chicken EVER. My friend & I got to different things but we both were very happy. The wings are juicy & they fall off the bone. The tenders are crisp & juicy. The flavor is very pronounced but not overwhelming. This place was better than expected! The chicken is super crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. This will definitely be on our list of places to go back too. We ordered the the snow onion wings, garlic spicy wings, fries, and the red hot wings. There were four of us and garlic spicy wings had more of a spicy kick to it than the red hot wings, which the had a after burn but were still really good.
