I visited Chung Ki Wa Korean BBQ thinking it was the kind of place where you grill samgyeopsal (pork belly) right at the table. All the Korean BBQ dishes here come fully cooked from the kitchen. Not a bad thing. Just something I wish I'd known beforehand so others don't get confused like I did. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing after a long drive, and I felt a little guilty walking in so late. But the staff welcomed us warmly and didn't make us feel rushed at all. We needed extra time to look through the menu once we realized we couldn't grill at the table, and they patiently waited while we decided. Their kindness honestly put our family in a good mood. We ordered the bossam set and the seafood pancake. The food quality was about what you'd expect from a typical Korean restaurant. Overall, it's a place worth trying at least once, especially for the friendly service.

My partner and I had heard great things about the "Raw Crab Marinated in Soy Sauce" at Chung Ki Wa, so we decided it was worth the 30-minute drive last weekend. I've tried this dish once before at another spot in Duluth and thought it was just okay, so I was curious to see how this one would compare. We arrived on a Saturday, and right away the staff made us feel welcome. While English wasn't their first language, they were friendly, patient, and genuinely tried to understand my questions, which I really appreciated, especially when I was deciding what to order beyond their popular raw crab. We started with the Raw Crab Marinated in Soy Sauce (around $25), and it definitely lived up to the hype. The dish is supposed to come with five crabs, but the staff kindly added an extra one. The soy-based marinade was savory with just a hint of spice, which complemented the fresh crab beautifully. For my main dish, I ordered the Dae Gu Maewoon Tang (Spicy Cod Stew, $19.99) and made the bold and regrettable decision to ask for it extra spicy. Fair warning: unless you're truly built for intense heat, don't do it. The flavors were excellent, but after a couple of bites my tongue was on fire, and I couldn't finish the bowl. My partner went with the blood sausage stew. He enjoyed the overall flavor but mentioned that all the liver pieces tasted off to him, so he ended up picking those out. Our meal also came with a variety of side dishes, which were mostly spicy but tasty.

Very traditional Korean restaurant. We ordered the tripe casserole, it was clean flavorful and delish. I can't recall a better execution of this this. Came with 6 side dishes including raw marinated crabs. With soju, everything tasted better. Highly recommended.

Hubby and I stopped in for lunch and stuffed our faces with so much deliciousness. We had the Braised Baby Back Ribs, Bibim Bop with beef, and the Seafood & Green Onion Pancake plus a whole bunch of other stuff that came with it and everything was oh so good. We were welcomed in with a smile, sat quickly, and our server was so gracious. It's an older spot so the building shows its age a bit in the inside but it's clean and the food is outstanding. So... much... foood! Hubby is heating up leftovers right now. Take some friends and have a feast!

I've been looking for Soy Marinated Crab in metro ATL, I finally found the best spot. Also, their soup and stews are very comforting, perfect for cold weather. Lots of choices on the menu, very authentic Korean flavor!

First time having Korean ribs, they were huge! Very tender and flavorful. The inside also felt like a restaurant in Korea. I would come back again to try other items on the menu.

Very authentic Korean food known for having delicious side dishes , including spicy marinated raw crabs. I would recommend the galbi Jim , it's my personal favorite and is delicious. Most of the entrees they offer are traditional Korean styles of food however they added an extra menu which is a newer style Korean cuisine. Overall the food is great and the service is ok. As for the ambiance, it's every tradition Korean style and not a lot of room to move around much .

Traditional Korean restaurant my Korean friend recommended to be authentic. Lots of options from their menu. Tried a lot of the dishes for the first time. Would like to come back and try others next time. Being friends so you can share some of the large entrees.

We came for lunch, almost got seated immediately, the service was courteous, got barley tea which is interesting. we ordered HUK YUM SOJUN GOL, a hot pot with goat meat and rice; and MUL NANG MYUN, cold buckwheat noodles,. Well, the goat meat in the hot pot was overcooked with almost no shape but not tender, broth was spicy, but not original soup, it's kind of mixed broth, I liked the rice better; for the cold noodles, it's okay, nothing to comment. The environment is nice and cozy. Maybe we will try something different next time.

Authentic Korean food. The spicy seafood stew was delicious and served 3 people. The gal bi short rib was grilled and tasty. The banchan side dishes had a variety of options. Our server, Ella, was responsive and helpful.

Every time I come here,…read moreand it's been more than 5 years, the food has always been stellar, delicious, mouthwatering. The service is attentive enough, as they get very busy during rush hour. The waitresses are always very friendly. Oh and if you pay cash, there's a 10% discount. Ambiance of this place has always been excellent! It moved to a new location in the same plaza, with more extravagant decor, extra seating, and space. If you love seafood or Chinese food in general, give this place a try. You will not regret it. I invited my real estate agent over here for dinner once, and she absolutely fell in love with this place. A friend of mine liked this place so much that he came here to eat every day for a month. The staff knows him at this point. Anyway, there's no bad dish here, and I'm a picky eater! Ask for their seasoning on the side, take it to go. You will thank me later.

My favorite dish is probably the eggplant on rice. I'm also a fan of the fried salted egg corn. The egg drop soup is kind of standard fare and so is the fried pork. Enoki mushrooms were a hit but I felt like it was a small portion. My wife was also disappointed in the stir fried udon noddles. My least favorite dish is the shrimp. The shrimp looks pretty but it's just takes too much effort to eat it. The real reason to come here are for the skewers though. The lamb and fatty beef are good. They are not the best skewers but still great. Would I come here again? Yes but only with friends. It's quite a drive but it's in a nice shopping center. My friend says Friendship BBQ is nearby and better though.

Out of all the food stalls in the food court, this one was the most popular when I went. It was pretty lively in the back corner, which is where this place is located. I thought the service was fine. The workers are there to get work done, not to perform outstanding customer service. I got the Crispy Pork on Rice! I love getting this meal at these Cantonese/Chinese places. I found the pork belly to be really tasty. There was a nice marinade over the skin and meat, plus the skin was pretty crispy even when some of the pieces got a little too moist inside the container. I thought there was a generous portion of the crispy pork in my meal. There were some mustard greens in the rice plate which added nice variation in taste. I also got a small cup of complementary soup on the side which I did not try but it did smell good. Overall, I think that my meal was pretty good. I would probably come back if I am ever inside the Great Wall Supermarket.

They first attempted to give me part of my order to dine-in, even though I mentioned to-go. The person trying to hand me the partial order attempted to blame me for not mentioning to-go, then her co-worker who took the order stepped in and said it's to go. After some back and forth between the two of them, they went ahead and gave my partial order to someone else and had that order prepped to-go. Fine and dandy. What time do you think I finally got my order? Remember, it was placed at 4:00pm. Lo and behold, they call me up at 4:56pm. Not only that, they called me up to someone else's order. I know this because I chimed in and said it's been an hour. The order taker replied that it's only been a few minutes. I presented him the receipt. He reads it and says, "Oh." Then he tells the lady to switch the bags because mine wasn't the one they tried to hand me. No apology. No, "Thank you for your patience." Nothing whatsoever besides an, "Oh." Food is good. Seating and ambiance is in a torn down, desperately in need of remodeling, Chinese grocery store. So to your oh, I say hell no. Ain't worth the disrespect and certainly my time.
