For me personally, it didn't matter to pay more money if the quality of the food is excellent. I love how they make the spicy pork is not oily (where sometimes other korean restaurants make spicy pork too oily)! Really good Korean Bowls. This is a perfect reason why you don't always judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by the outside. Located in a mini plaza, doesn't look like much. However the folks inside are very warm and helpful, only wanting to make sure their customers feel welcome and are satisfied. The Good: *The staff - they are among the most friendly and helpful restaurant staff I've encountered anywhere. They seem genuinely interested in the customers and more than willing to help out with questions and the menu *The concept - I like how the bibimbap menu is set up so that it is customizable to your exact liking. Bonus points for the optional fried egg topping, which the other bibimbap place in town lacks. Let's face it, a bowl of bibimbap is not complete without a sunny egg on top. *The fried dumplings - As good as I've had anywhere. Crispy and thin skin, savory filling, authentic soy/vinegar sauce without too much sweet. A+. The Bad: *The meat - If you google or yelp "Korean BBQ" and come to this place expecting pieces of juicy, char-grilled meat, you will be disappointed. All the meat I've had at this place never saw even an electric grill, let alone any flames. I suspect they don't have the right equipment for a proper Korean BBQ, and it's a good thing that the menu doesn't exactly claim that the meat is BBQed, otherwise it would be a case for fraud. As it is, it looks and tastes like meat cooked in a frying pan on a home stove. Not a sin, since most Korean people cook it that way at home, but I've come to expect a bit more from a restaurant. BTW, the "chicken" topping for the bibimbap is not the savory grilled chicken pieces you would expect, but boiled, shredded chicken meat. The Bulgogi, which is described on the menu as "thinly sliced tenderloin strip" looks and tastes like ground beef. This, I cannot forgive. The Ugly: *The lack of flavor and proper seasoning - The basis of good Korean cuisine, at least for this type of BBQ meat, is the layering of bold flavors and seasoning. It should be aggressively, unapologetically seasoned and flavored. I had to keep adding the sauce and sesame oil to the latest bowl of bibimbap until it was exhausted, and it still was not satisfactory. The "spicy" pork was extremely bland, and so was the Kalbi. I feel like the marinade recipes need tweaking to include more flavor. Maybe more aromatics like garlic, ginger and onion, and the basis of all seasonings, salt. I really want this restaurant to do well, but I would be doing the public a disservice if I pretended everything was great. I will keep going there from time to time, but I would go back more often if I felt more satisfied with the food. read more

Super friendly, smiling, polite staff who was willing to explain the menu and the ordering process. I went around 2pm (lunch time) and ordered the Lunch Special which includes Bibimbap, Miso Soup, and a drink (non-alcoholic for those who may be wondering), lol. I had the Beef Bibimbap with white rice, all veggies, with hot paste as my sauce. From the soup to my last bite of food, it was wonderful!!! It was so good I dived right in and forgot to take pictures, lol. I did at least say my prayers to bless the food. I guess I'll have to take pictures the next time I come back. Unless you have a big appetite, order the 4 piece because these are not your typical boneless wings. They are slices of a large chicken breast. The chicken was moist and tender, crispy on the outside. My companions had the hot bowls with an assortment of veggies, noodles or rice and a protein.
