A cozy Taiwanese family restaurant serving a nice selection of Taiwanese street food and desserts…read more We came here mainly for dessert and ordered the tofu pudding with yam balls. The tofu pudding was AMAZING - freshly made with a delicate soy milk flavor, silky smooth and melts in your mouth. The yam balls are equally impressive, nice yam flavor with just the right amount of chewiness. I could happily eat this all day!

Sweet Memory is a Taiwanese spot open late in Richmond with a convenient, shared parking lot…read more Overall, I'd say the savory food and boba felt like huge misses, but the shaved ice was super unique and delicious. I feel like their other dessert options probably have potential and I can see this being an excellent post dinner hang out spot. Turkey On Rice (3.75/5): Rice and gravy was tasty, but turkey was a bit overcooked and kinda chewy. Black Sesame Mochi (3.75/5): This came out piping hot and the flavors were good (can't go wrong with black sesame and peanuts), but the texture of the actual mochi wasn't as chewy as I like. Satisfying, but not anything special. Taiwanese Sausage on Sticky Rice (2/5): Not sure what the red sauce was, but I really was not a fan; too sweet and had a weird funk to it. Taiwanese sausage also didn't have the right texture or flavor, you want the signature big chunks of fat. Pineapple Shaved Ice (4/5): Decently fluffy shaved ice and the pineapple was candied like the inside of a pineapple cake. Grass jelly sat at the bottom of the bowl and added an extra satisfying jello texture. Traditional Fresh Milk Tea (1/5): Way too sweet and the tea flavor was kinda bland. Maybe the other drinks are better.

Hole-in-the-wall gem of a find we stumbled upon after going to Costco. At first when we went…read moreinside, I think I wasn't the only one in our party of 9 to wonder what the heck we walked into and wondered if we should leave. The decorations are dated and they have a couch and TV riiiiight behind the ordering counter, lol. God bless the Chinese uncle that owns and runs the place... he and the lady taking the order barely spoke English, so we stumbled with our Mandarin. I think they even spoke Taiwanese with each other?!? Instead of ordering multiple drinks, we just ordered the one mango lover's coconut pudding. Honestly, we didn't know what the heck we ordered and we ordered it to go. It took a little while to prepare, but when it came we were presented with a coconut wrapped in cellophane. We were intrigued and had to open it right then and there. We were treated to a coconut FILLED with fresh mango, mochi, and pudding... all in a fresh coconut - the coconut meat was thin, so you knew it was juicy and fresh! My oldest kid did his best to claim it all for himself as we all wanted a taste. In the end, we did the only thing logical and had to order a second. I would absolutely, hands-down, recommend this place. The family that owns the place deserves our patronage and they've earned it in their own humble way. God bless.
