Pretty tasty and lots of optional sides make this place a winner. We went with 5 scoops and it seemed like the right amount. I think 3 scoops would not be enough is you really like your fish. Love the spicy sauce and fast service. The reason I don't give it full stars is that they have raised thier prices. I am surprised they did this because the long lines and crowds have dissapeared and now when I pass it is empty. I reccomend lowering your prices again. We used to really love this place, but recently the prices are a bit higher and the service is a bit less on-point. Still an awesome place to if you're craving poke, but less awesome than it used to be. The boba tea and smoothies are excellent, and the food quality is good as well--although the fish can be a bit inconsistent. I'll probably be back, but less frequently than usual. read more

I've been to Choppa Poke several times and really enjoy the food, so I was bummed by my experience yesterday. I'm signed up for their rewards system (fivestars) and got emailed an offer for a buy one get one poke bowl. I come here every so often for lunch. PokeMee is a pretty good poke joint located in the Hollister Village. The food is served assembly line style where you get to pick your own base, fish, toppings, and sauces. The bowls are fairly expensive, but not so much that it dissuades me from going. Food was not bad, the ahi tasted like it had freezer burn. I was born and raised in Hawaii, so i know what good fish is, this places fish quality is on the lower end. On the flip side, their saices they used was fantastic, the spicy mayo was off the charts and the spicy salmon was realy good but alittle oily. The 2 guys behind the counter could use a little customer service skills and classes, it might boost thier business if they had associates that were a little more friendly. The rice is very dry and they only would give me 2 little pieces of each type of fish..however thinking about this the next morning as I write this hovered over the toilet, I am very grateful for just receiving these 2 pieces. This place is good for the price. The fish isn't the freshest (I'm someone who loves eating sashimi at nice sushi restaurants so possibly I'm a bit picky) but it's definitely edible and won't get you sick. Also there's always a weird smell in the place. But if you're craving a raw fish meal it will do the job at the right price. read more

Texan here visiting for the weekend and my first stop in Santa Barbara was Choppa Poke. I love the vibe where one side is poke and the other is shaved ice. I ended up getting only the poke today. The prices were a little higher than I'm used to, especially with the small scoops of fish, but the toppings and rice made the price worth it. The fish were thick and fresh, and the topping portions, specifically the crab and seaweed salad, were more than I expected, which was great. Finished my bowl with a drizzle of wasabi mayo. I would definitely come here again for a poke fix. read more

I have eaten at many poke spots and I have to say that this place is definitely one of my favorites. The restaurant is very welcoming and spacious and the employees were very helpful in choosing the correct flavors and toppings for me to have the best experience possible. I went with a large bowl which consists of five scoops of protein and various toppings. The fish was fresh and delicious and there were so many toppings to choose from. The worker who served me recommended the house sauce and spicy mayo which I found to be a perfect mix. The boba there is also above par which is a huge plus! Finally a poke place that is in Santa Barbara! Overall, I would recommend anyone who is willing to try something new or even the experienced poke-goer to come to this spot. This place is new along with the rest of stuff that has opened up in the plaza like Pieology next door. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only poke place in town. Now, I've had a lot of different poke from different places in the LA area, and being that this is the only one standing on its own in this area, it does compare very well. The establishment is very new. The inside looks very nice and contemporary. Staff members seems to be always checking up to make sure the place is clean. There's a couple of TV screens hanging on the wall and playing different movies so you won't be bored if you're eating here alone. As you walk in, Pokeeme is pretty much on the left side, and you have Sno-Crave on the right side. Sno-Crave basically sells drinks/dessert, so it's the perfect combination to fuse together with your order of poke. Staff members work on both sides, so I guess it's not a separate entity. As for the food goes, I ordered the based with Sushi Rice (not just your plain white rice), chose the 5 scoops bowl of: Tuna, Salmon, Albacore, Yellowtail, and another scoop of yellowtail along with the House Ponzu sauce. I had pretty much all of the toppings except for imitation crab meat. One thing I do want to point out that I have not seen was kiwi and mango. It sounds like a small thing, but I feel like the texture of kiwi and mango chopped into pieces in the same size as the fish really brings complements how the poke bowl tastes overall. They do cost a bit extra, but I would highly recommend adding kiwi/mango into your poke bowl. As far as the fish goes, they all taste very fresh, which is kinda surprising since there's a lot of other places where I've been to and they would just plain smushy. I had asked one of the staff members at Pokeeme about this, and one of the managers had explained to me that they would only order fresh fish everyday, and actually would filter out the bad ones. Sno-Crave would pretty much cover your usual drinks from a familiar boba joint that you've probably already been to. I had the Osmanthus Green Milk Tea. I'm not sure if that was on the menu, but the staff members made it for me regardless. The sweatness level was just right, and they don't drench the cup with 60% ice like a lot of the other places, so you're actually getting tea inside your cup. If you're a student dorming here in UCSB, then you're in luck because they will close until 11PM. There is no more need to be eating unhealthy food when you're craving for something to eat after studying or if you're just drunk from partying too much. Overall, I'd say PokeMee is as good as it can get. Yet another disappointing day at PokeMee. Waited in a 20 minute line only to find out they only had TWO of the SIX kinds of fish left. No signs anywhere, nothing crossed out on the fish board, nothing. Didn't have ANY staff over at the Tea part of the place, so when someone ordered a tea, a staff member from the PokeMee assembly line stopped what they were doing and went to make tea, making the line take even longer. This place is bomb af. But honestly the people in the front are very kind and serve quickly. The whole place inside is nice for relaxing or studying both by yourself or in a group. Delish and fresh! Came here for some Poke and had to come again the next day before we left for home!!! Had the regular size with 3 scoops of protein! I did 2 ahi and the spicy tuna with greens and sushi rice. Added the cucumber and onions with spicy mayo! I also added the crab for .50 more (yum). Must add the fried garlic and tempura for the crunchies! I love heat so added jalapeños and the green onions along with sesame seeds and more spicy mayo! So many options!!!! I am happy to update my review for this place after coming back and receiving the best customer service from the people that take all constructive criticism very seriously. The manager and workers here are not only friendly, but extremely caring and will try everything they can to make sure you are a satisfied customer. Their poke is delicious as ever and this review is mainly going to be about their boba (snow crave). They have the softest most delicious boba with creamy sweet milk teas. The prices are way more reasonable than any other boba place around. You can always ask for less sugar or ice if you please. They will go out of their way to make sure you leave happy and full! I encourage anybody to come here with friends for a fun time of great poke bowls and delicious boba. Definitely go in and say hi to all of the amazing staff. I was in the area visiting some friends when I yelped and found this awesome poke place. Living in LA, there are so many poke places here but none compared to this one. Their sauce is amazing. I love the fusion part of this place is that they put chili oil to give it that kick and it goes so well with the ponzu sauce, hence, spicy ponzu. They also have other sauces like spicy mayo and wasabi mayo. Their portion is super generous. They have 4 scoops option which, in LA, it's usually 2 or 3 at popular places. Their fish is super fresh compared to other places. Also, try their green milk tea. Their boba is sweet and tender. Their staff is super nice and helpful helping me decide my drink. My boyfriend and I come here twice a week because it is (maybe was) awesome! Tonight was a different story. The usual 'crew' was not here tonight, it seemed to be the owner's and their family which were trying so hard that they were messing up and didn't care. They were also trying to juggle SBMENU which was most certainly a new thing for them because it stressed them out and they were then rude to their face to face customers, most definitely not their usual service! To add (or subtract) to this, our loyalty points didn't add to our accumulated points which would have give us both a free large bowl next visit. I ate here during their opening where everything was half off. The bowl was delicious I ordered a large bowl which let me pick 5 different proteins. Seaweed salad, crab meat and other bouji toppings were extra. Service was good and they got my bowl out pretty fast.
