Sandy roll must have! Specially if you love lemon flavor and salmon!

My first time coming here, found them on yelp and really wanted sushi that was close by the hospital. I'm glad my husband and I came by. My favorite role was the sandy roll. I love everything with lemon and this was just the perfect lemon, flavored with salmon. We also tried the bowl with salmon which was good however it was too much rice. I would recommend them

Popped by Sushi Teri last night for a quick Sunday night bite, haven't been here in awhile. Happy to say they have upped their sushi game and now also serve Moet & Chandon bubbly, which is so lovely for us non beer drinking girlies. The sushi was actually pretty epic, will definitely have Sushi Teri back in my sushi restaurant rotation. SB is definitely a great place for sushi and I'm so here for it!

Last-minute decision to stop in for lunch. Got a great parking spot in front, but there's plenty of parking in back, too. Wonderful, shady, comfortable outdoor seating. Ordered the Teriyaki Beef/Chicken Combo. Started with a somewhat soggy Cabbage Salad that seemed unfresh with a dressing that lacked zing and flavor. The Beef was tender, but the Chicken was terrible. It had a rubbery, odd texture that seemed pre-cooked and reheated, not freshly grilled, and, most importantly, both meats lacked the char crust that perfects this dish. Took home for later, Chicken Gyoza and California Roll. The Gyoza was ok, but the California Roll was poor--mushy, watery crab. The server was overly enthusiastic, leaning over the table when just handing me the menu, asking for my order. They never once checked back on how my meal was or offered a water refill. They were quick to drop the ticket and present the CC device for payment. This could be an amazing place if they would level up.

Service was great! Everyone was very attentive, and answered questions we had about the menu. They came to check on us often, and cleared plates right away. The food was good, but not knock my socks off amazing. All in all, I would still recommend this restaurant.

Deep Fried Roll - New Crunchy (Shrimp, Crab, Avocado, Cucumber) ⋅ Santa Barbara, California

#ThankYouThursday I've been to their other restaurants in Goleta and Carpinteria, but this one is my preferred location. Certainly grateful for many tasty sushi dinners and take-outs over the years, especially when I was a college student with a limited budget! Sushi options are abundant in Santa Barbara, but the ones worth going to are high-end establishments reserved for special occasions. A good amount of the neighborhood joints tend to be mediocre, while still being on the pricier side. Sushi Teri manages to strike a balance, with fish that taste fresh, pieces that are decent sizes, and costs that are reasonable. The sushi rice holds up well and has the right amount of vinegar. When it comes to rolls, they have a good variety of choices on the menu. On a recent visit I tried the "New Crunchy", which is a deep fried roll that contains crab legs, shrimp, avocado, cucumbers, and cream cheese. It was a to-go order, but the outer tempura shell survived a 30 minute car ride and was still crispy by the time I sat down to eat. The combination of seafood and vegetables went well together. The cream cheese was unnecessary, but it wasn't overpowering. A big shoutout to Laxman Perera, Keiko Miyata, and the rest of the team at Sushi Teri/Nikka! This local restaurant group is responsible for bringing many delicious concepts to the area. TY!

Great place to visit but make sure to make reservations for the outdoor patio on the second level for views of the ocean and the pier!

Every bite tasted clean and high quality, making it a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy a range of seafood in one dish. I also ordered the Ultimate 10, which features ten pieces of premium nigiri. While the fish itself was certainly fresh, I found it difficult to justify the $80 price tag. There was nothing wrong with the quality, but the overall experience didn't quite feel proportionate to the cost. If you're looking to maximize value, I'd probably steer toward some of the other menu offerings instead. I love uni (sea urchin) and it was particularly fresh, creamy, and rich without being overly briny. Another surprise was the Gold Shot, featuring quail egg, uni, chives, and ponzu. The combination works beautifully, delivering a burst of creaming, savory, and bright flavors in a single bite. The Popcorn Rock Shrimp was also a winner, crispy and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. The Wakame salad (seaweed) was also refreshing making it a great palate cleanser between some of the richer dishes. The Wokked Edamame was also quite yummy with the garlic chile sauce. The restaurant was bustling during my visit, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected its popularity. Despite how busy it was, the staff remained friendly, and welcoming, and attentive. Be sure to make reservations. Overall, Arigato delivers on freshness and quality, which is ultimately what matters most at a sushi restaurant. While I wasn't completely sold on the value of some of the higher priced items, there were enough standout dishes throughout the meal to make it a worthwhile visit. I'd happily return and explore more of the menu on a future visit.

Had reservations for 7 pm dinner on Friday. The place wasn't busy during our entire dining experience. Aside from a larger table of ~10 people and 2 smaller tables, the place was empty, which was nice and quiet for date night and anniversary celebration. The 9-course Kaiseki was plate after plate of flavor. Highlights: - Course 4: Somen with sweet broth, grilled beef, and grilled green onion. THIS. The beef was so good, I refused to swallow, so I could savor the flavor. Fatty in flavor. Lean in cut. Somen cooked to perfection. - Course 7: Chilean sea bass simmered in bonito chicken broth with daikon and green beans ~ THE SEA BASS WAS GAS. Marinated in miso before grilling, the tenderness and juiciness of the sea bass is locked in prior to simmering in the broth. Chicken broth with the bonito added depth to the dish. - Course 9: Black sesame pudding with tangerine jelly ~ THIS. This dish embodied the level of black sesame I expect for any dish. Tangerine jelly cuts through as a nice refresher for the next bite. Perfectly not too sweet. All in all, I had the best experience. Each component of a dish adds its own flavor that completes the dish as a whole. Ultimately, one of my favorite culinary experiences that took my taste buds on a journey! Would return!
