I like this place quite a bit. They are super fast and everything is tasty. There is not much seating inside. Not good for groups. There is some nice seating outside. Nice is in comfortable. And visually appealing. The tazikis sause is very salty and drying. Drink lots of water during and after eating here if you get taziki sause. Especially if you get extra taziki sauce. Which I would recommend because it is very tasty. read more

This spot is located at the bottom of a really nice apartment complex. The location is easy to get to & always clean inside. I'm very pleased with the customer service I receive every time I come here. It's usually a woman putting together my orders & occasionally the manager (or owner) whom are both very friendly & pleasant to deal with. The food is exceptional! My go to is the Falafel rice bowl with lentil rice, butter chickpeas, sumac onions, & potatoes. Everything is delicious! My parents are also huge fans of this place. Personally, their lentil rice is the best rice I've ever tasted. Definitely my go to for some great Mediterranean food. read more

If you choose hummus as one of your sides, you don't get any pita - what's up with that? I grew up eating Halal from stands in Philly and New York. This is the most authentic tasting Halal I've had in Texas. It wasn't what I expected when I ordered. You choose your rice, meat, and 3 sides. Although that threw me off at first I'm happy it's served that way. All of the sides were delicious (I got the spicy chick peas, salad, and potatoes). This was the first time I went and definitely won't be the last. The portions were big but it was the perfect size for the price you pay. I ordered the chicken and kofta bowl and really enjoyed it. The meat was fresh (they put the chicken in my bowl straight from the grill) and the flavors were excellent. This place has the tastiest Mediterranean food in the Plano area. I generally take the Pita sandwich (but with Pita cut into pieces and put on the side) with gyro, fried eggplant and mushrooms & onions. Their beef is also very good. Best meat over rice place I have ever had, including the Halal Bros in Austin. It's a small place, with minimal seating but the food is absolutely amazing. Customer service is phenomenal, as they give you flexibility to customize your order (instead of getting full rice, I like to go half roasted potatoes and other half yellow rice). Their sides is what sets them apart. They have around 3 salads to choose from, mushrooms, corn, hummus, eggplant, roasted potatoes, and more. And of course gyro, chicken, and falafel. Omg yall this place is AMAZING. Everything the servers suggested was super fresh and so tasty. Just all around 10 out of 10 on the food. The yellow basmati rice was moist and well seasoned, the chicken was juicy and fresh, the white sauce (herb and mayo) and tzaziki sauce were awesome along with the red and green hot sauces (I like sauces). We decided to try this place for lunch today and I'm glad we did! The food was fresh and the options were plentiful! I ordered a rice bowl with chicken and the chicken was grilled when we ordered. All the veggies were fresh, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We could barely make it back to work without eating it, the smell of that freshly grilled chicken was incredible! I've tried that other Halal place ( the one from NY that everyone likes, but they smother their food in a mayo sauce to give it flavor..) yeah that one.. hands down this one is better! I tried the tahini sauce, it was delicious, but the food stood on its own, sauce not required! Give this place a try! I'll be back often. read more

Was hesitant at first, since so many rice bowl combinations have come out. However, Chopped Halal Grill has managed to provide inspired taste, freshness, and originality. For what you pay for you are getting a great amount of food, and endless amounts of toppings (you're changers after the 3rd I believe). This isn't exactly like the original NY chicken and rice but it's great in its own regard. The owner and staff were very, very nice. Answered all questions and said yes to any request to customize my platter without hesitating. Their set up is similar to chipotle where you chose your rice and type of meat first then add own sides as you go. Here they offer chicken, kofta or falafel. They offer two types of rice (yellow and southwestern red). Wasn't a fan of the red but the yellow was very good. A bit greasy but still tasted great. Out of the meats, the chicken was my favorite but the kofta is an awesome alternative to the traditional Gyro that other chicken and rice places do. The kofta tasted delicious and the portions were extremely generous but I felt like there is only so much kofta you can eat. Their white sauce tasted authentic, a little on the tangy side but better than the imitators. Overall I was very pleased with the service, the amount of food, location, taste and price. They even let me use a 20% off yelp coupon bringing my total to $36 for 5 very generous platters. Win win. Highly recommended. read more
