Foods good. Service is good. Place is a neighborhood Chinese spot. It doesn't deserve a 3 even though it's just a regular spot just because they'd easily be a 5 if they used MSG. Fresh veggies and fresh meats. Just really lacked the seasoning and it's because there is no MSG. For all the whites and non Asians reading this, MSG isn't bad for you. I really wanted to like this place, but it's going to be a no. We had delivery and I ordered wings and shrimp fried rice. The food was hot that was a plus, but the chicken didn't taste very fresh and the rice has onions and shrimp. That's it. Maybe small pieces of eggs. Definitely not what I was looking for. Here's what I like: vegetable egg rolls, Wonton soup (my favorite!) and pork with vegetables (comes with steamed white rice!). I can also recommend the sweet and sour chicken. Each order comes with fortune cookies. The staff is friendly and the food is ready fast. This location is conveniently located in the strip mall at the corner of Roswell and Robinson. Lighting fast, reasonable portions, what's not to like? I was at East Cobb Park. I ordered online (1 dollar extra surcharge) and got Chicken and Cashew Nuts and Chinese Donuts. By the time I got in my car and drove the two blocks, it was ready. This was about 5 minutes. Cost 20 dollars, but that includes the surcharge and the tip. The Chicken was good, it comes with Fried Rice, a Crab Rangoon, and a Spring Roll standard. They use white meat chicken, which isn't my preferred style but it was very good still. The portion isn't large (I got the lunch special) but very reasonable for 10 bucks. The Chinese Donuts were piping hot, came with a ton of extra sugar, and were absolutely worth it. For 6 bucks I got ten donuts and it made for a great snack. Overall, very happy with this and I'll be back again. read more

The portions are very decent for lunch sizes and the food tasted great. There is not really any seating available inside. Tried this place out for a takeout on a Friday evening. The order came out pretty fast. We got Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour chicken, and Pan Fried Noodles. The chicken came separately from the sauce. It was crispy on the outside but not over cooked on the inside. The Mongolian beef and pan fried noodles were great too. The ingredients used felt very fresh, beef tender and thin, not oily at all, and veggies had that nice crunch as well. One big negative for the Mongolian beef and pan fried noodles was the saltiness. It was excessively salty. The soy sauce flavor of the noodles was so overpowering that I didn't eat much of it. Overall it's a pretty good takeout spot in East Cobb. The prices are a bit high compared to the quantity but that's a lot of places right now. I'll try the place again and ask for less soy sauce next time. read more

We had mushu beef, sizzling rice soup and pan fried dumplings. Nothing was bad but nothing was good either. Food was very bland and benign. Soup was a mild chicken broth with carrots snow peas chicken shrimp and water chestnuts. Fried rice and wonton strips were there to be added. The shrimp are of a decent size. There is no onion garlic pepper or ginger to the broth. Just simple chicken broth. The dumplings are very simple, slightly on the small side. The sauce sent with them tastes of vinegar and sweet. I prefer a more spicy savory sauce but this one is ok. The mushu was sent with thin crepes (nice ones) and plum sauce. My son said it was ok but unremarkable. If you are looking for just bland westernized Chinese food this will be fine. I miss Buford Highway right now though. read more

This is not 1-star because I've had good lo mein here before, but it's been awhile. I ordered the shrimp shu mai (labeled with a parenthetical "dim sum" on the menu), and the pork with garlic sauce lunch combo, which came with fried rice and wonton soup. I would not get any of it again. The shu mai were nothing like the ones you would get at any decent dim sum restaurant. They were very small, like the last joint of my index finger, which is about 1/3 the size of proper shu mai. At $8 for 8 of them, that was a poor value. The texture was really unpleasant - not meaty or even shrimpy, or even shrimp-pastey, but rather more like soft tofu. The only flavor I could pick up was freezer-burn. The wonton soup broth tasted of too-old vegetables and the wontons themselves were mushy and tasted of freezer-burn. Finally, the pork with garlic sauce was too sweet and came with slices of zucchini, hunks of green bell pepper and thick slices of water chestnuts. The zucchini and bell pepper were alright, but were unusual and unwelcome additions to the dish. The water chestnuts tasted metallic, like the inside of the can they had been sitting in. It came with plain fried rice, which was fine if rather boring. read more

Chopstix is my new go-to Chinese restaurant! I get take-away from them at least once a week. My new favorite is spicy eggplant with tofu. It's light and delicious. They have an extensive menu with all the proteins and vegetarian options as well. They have a small dining area, but right now they're only offering 100% no-touch take-away and delivery due to Coronavirus. You can order through the qMenu app or from a window. They're really fast, and responsive to customers. There's a doorbell installed so if the staff isn't standing by the window you can ring to get their attention. I'm happy to have found Chopstix because food from the other Chinese restaurants I was ordering from is too greasy and sometimes has lower-quality ingredients. read more

I consider myself a connoisseur of strip mall Chinese food. Somehow I've never tried Chopsticks, even though I have lived and worked in the area for years. I was missing out! The food is probably the best Chinese in East Cobb. Everything was served piping hot, fresh, and had the taste/appearance that it was cooked in a wok at high heat or was made fresh. The first sign of good Chinese is white pepper (not black). Chopsticks delivers. The second is spicy Chinese mustard. Check. They also have a good health score (95 currently). I ordered a lunch combination Mongolian chicken and egg rolls to share with my 4 year old. Lucky for me, he refused the egg rolls. Less luckily, he ate most of the chicken and all of the egg drop soup. The only thing that wasn't stellar was the fried rice, but it did get soaked in the chicken sauce, which is very sweet (hence my son loving it). For $11+tip, this is a great value for lunch. There is nothing on the menu that you can't get else where. Really nothing sets this place apart from all the others. Granted the food was indeed good, steamed and fried rice were a little dry but it just typical. I picked this place because it had homestyle beancurd which was pretty good IMHO. Sweet and sour chicken was good but not great. It's all in the sweet and sour sauce. We also did enjoy the crab rangoons. But they were smaller than anticipated. I have eaten at many Chinese restaurants and on Trip Advisor I am sought after on reviews so I'd like to think I review accurately. As an out of towner this family run business is quaint and cozy with clean restrooms. The food was hot in temperature and also the food health grade was rated a 100% and it's posted. I also peeked in the back and things are orderly and clean to my high standards. I had Chicken Lo Mein, Potstickers, egg drop soup and lastly pork fried rice- all to which was piping and full of flavor. The restaurant for a Tuesday was quiet and clean and they seem to do a good amount of take out business. All in all I ranked them five stars because I can't find any reason to support anything else. This place was yummy enough that my kids actually ate it up too. We ate in house, which seats about 12 people total. They are not a big shop, but the food was good tasting and our waters were refilled regularly. He fried rice was different, but I liked it. We ordered the Mongolian Beef which was normal sized portion but sweet and savory to taste. We ordered the kids shrimp with French fries and they both came out fresh and hot. My wife ordered the Sesame chicken and it was quite good too. The potstickers we requested as part of the menu coupon were tasty and they didn't make a fuss about us asking for it after we noticed it was an option. Very happy first time customers. Cons: it's small, but who cares. The rice wasn't very warm. Part of the Mongolian Beef meal seemed crisply burnt and had hints of bitter. I can look past it,but not twice. Sesame chicken was swimming in sauce, which some people like. We will be back ,I'm sure. Want to try the take out, as long as it's hot , hot , hot when I get it home. We ordered early in the evening so I'm not sure why I received scraps from the bottom of the pan. This is extremely disappointing. This is our go to local chinese spot. The lunch meal is a great deal. They have the best egg drop soup around Cumming. Most people either put vegetables or tofu in their soup. But here, it's just normal egg drop. Just the way we like it. The mongolian beef is very delicious. It's good quality meat, you don't have to worry about cutting around bad pieces. The service is the only thing here that is lacking. Some servers are great, others not so much. On Sunday we came, there was almost no one else in there except a us and a large party who had already received their food. She brought our meals out, gave my husband his meal, then took my meal and tried to give it to the other table. I was trying to tell her it was mine, but she wasn't listening. Then after that table said it wasn't theirs she finally brought it back. But the food is still worth the occasional rough service. read more
