Decor is typical Asian with screens a usual art and decor. The staff were very friendly and seated me immediately. My guess would be that this is a local family run restaurant. Menu is a mix of Asian cuisine. I opted for a couple of rolls and a side salad with the traditional ginger dressing. Let's start with the salad. This thing was huge, fresh and delicious. The dressing was also not the typical ginger dressing as this has ginger pieces in it. Delicious. The rolls I opted for the red and the orange so one tuna and one salmon roll. Outside is nothing to write home about but the inside of the building is nice. Egg drop, miso soup and pad see ew were great. My favorite is the curry flight. Came here for take out. Very easy to park and go inside to order. I was given a menu when I entered to make an order. There were chairs to sit on while I waited for the food to be made. I ordered the thai basil stir fry with chicken and the pad kee mao to go. The food was made in about 10-15 minutes. Very easy take out and stayed very hot. My friend and I went here for lunch last week and it was pretty OK. It's one of the better Thai restaurants I've eaten at in Wilmington. I had the drunken noodles which was pretty Americanized. It wasn't super bad. They were tasty enough. My friend had sushi and sashimi and she enjoyed that. We also had a couple appetizers. The fresh rolls were all right. The peanut sauce wasn't very peanutty if that makes sense we also had these chicken wonton crisps, and those were incredible. I could eat those again and again and again The service is OK. It's not the greatest, but it's not the worst. The peach saki is yummy especially cold and the decorations it's kind of like a dive restaurant. It's not up-to-date. I had driven by this place a few times and wondered about it. From the outside, it looked like a Wendy's building or some other fast food place. I read online many positive reviews. I started with the spring rolls appetizer. Only one came on the plate, which was unusual to me compared to any other Asian restaurant that I've been to where you typically get two (note that their website does state two. Hmmmm). The roll was hot, nice and crunchy, and filled with vegetables. The dipping sauce was sweet and went well with the spring roll. For my entree, I had the Penang curry with beef and white rice. Most excellent!! I just love the flavors of this dish. I typically will go for the chicken, but the beef was tender and just the right protein for the curry. Good size portion too that I bought leftovers home (although I ate all the beef). I want to go back and try their sushi. Overall a good experience here. If there two spring rolls, I would have given 5 stars. read more

Had Asian for dinner before l left Wilmington. This place sounded appetizing being Asian Fusion. The menu had dishes from China, Thailand and Japan. The staff was very nice and polite and the atmosphere was fairly typical of an Asian Restaurant. The food was fair but not gourmet. Presentation was nice but overall it was very basic. I ordered a Bento Box with Hibachi Chicken. It came with a spring roll, salad crab wonton and a few pieces of California roll. The ginger dressing was too sweet. The citrus overpowered the ginger to the point you couldn't taste the ginger at all. The chicken and rice was pretty simple and the rolls were sub par at best. Even the crab wontons were good yet seemed to be missing something. Overall the dish was fair for the price but about the same as one would get from a corner hibachi to go. I also ordered chicken nuggets and fries for the little one but alas, it went uneaten. I'm sure either it was just a lackluster evening for the chefs or just one of those places one would eat at in a spur of the moment thought. Not great but fair. read more

This was my first time going here! Service was amazing and I loved our waitress. The Thai tea was so good that my friends all tried it and one ordered their own. Our waitress even double checked to see how it was made because we were curious. I loved my brother's General Tso's stir fry and loved how their cooked their noodles. My brother no so much and for reference he loves noodles like what you'd get from traditional Chinese take out. I find Kyoto's way better. I've only had Pad Kee Mao from one other restaurant before. I prefer the other restaurant's, but Kyoto's wasn't bad! I did add white sauce to it. Also it was amazing reheated. I think because the sauce had time to sit and soak up in the noodles. I also love trying tofu at places (especially Asian restaurants) to see how they prepare it because I eat meat but love tofu also. I really liked how they prepared theirs. We ate dinner here on a Tuesday evening. There were 6 of us. We waited over an hour and a half for our food. Not once did the waitress come and see how we were doing or give any explanation. After waiting and hour and 15 min we finally called her over and asked what the delay was and she said the kitchen was backed up. it was only then that she refilled our waters. Others in the restaurant were also getting very frustrated. When the food came it was not good. It was warm, not super tasty and definitely not worth the wait. To make matters even worse, when we got the check the waitress had added a 20% gratuity! I went to speak with the manager and she apologized saying the waitress "had made a mistake". Im not sure how you accidentally add a 20% tip for yourself. Regardless we will definitely NOT be back here! read more

The green paint needs to be changed as green makes people look Ill. They have the cutest lite laterns hanging from the ceiling, and has these asian inspired portable wall dividers. The spring roll was packed full of veggies and the outside had that perfect crunch. The hibachi chicken and vegetables had been cooked to perfection with added seasame seeds and sauce. The rice I wasn't the biggest fan of. Tasted like a wild rice I'm atributing that to the seasonings. For me did not taste like a traditional habachi fried rice. Family lunch date today. Let me say.... do not sleep on this hidden gem. We started with: Maguro Delight $11.00 Crispy rice rolls topped with fresh sushi grade tuna mixed in our house ponzu sauce, fresh ginger, cilantro, and a touch of spicy mayo. Let me say that all 3 of us decided it was hands down one of the best apps we had ever tried. The spider roll was delicious with crispy crab and perfect seaweed wrap. Bryson decided on a Bento box- his first- sesame chicken. He doesn't like crab wontons- we ate them and they were perfect. Mike ordered the Green Curry with beef(not pictured) it was a delicious mix of green peppers and a hit of coconut to cool the palate. We have not ever had curry and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor profiles. I had the Pad Kee Mow with chicken- I've never tried drunken noodles before but I will again. It has a kick to it but adding peanut sauce made it soooo good. I took home soooo much food. Mike couldn't NOT get the tempura fried ice cream- I stole a bite and was so glad I did. The best food-to go. I have had great experiences here ordering takeout. However, eating in is usually not the best time-upwards of an hour and a half even when it's not busy. Around Tue 5:30pm on our way home heading out of Wilmington we were looking to grab some quick grub for dinner. We made note of this place as we passed by on our way to our original destination which happened to be Indochine. However, after Indochine (being as busy and packed as it was) told us we would need to wait an hour plus just for a carryout order, we were like heck no. And thus, we had to find an alternative and remembered passing by this restaurant just a quarter mile away. We're satisfied with our choice. We used their online ordering system to place an order of chicken pad thai for 13 bucks for pickup. The entrée came with a side of either soup or salad. We chose the salad which came with ginger dressing. I assume if we had chosen soup it would have probably been miso soup. When we arrived the staff was kind enough to bring our food right to our car. Took them only about 10 min to prepare our order after placing it. Portion wise, it was very generous and the takeout box was filled to the brim and quite heavy. It was definitely enough to feed two people. Taste wise, it was very sweet for my taste but I imagine people with a sweet tooth would absolutely fall in love with the dish. When placing the noodles in my mouth the most prominent flavor I could taste was that of ketchup. Imagine ketchup with some water and a ton of sugar added - that would be the best way to describe the sauce base. There was good amount of egg, bean sprouts, chicken, and peanuts. If you can get past all the sweetness, the rest of the flavors were good. Overall, it was a good experience. If given the chance again, we'll probably try some of their other dishes. They have many other cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, and Chinese. Worth a try if you're in the area and you want something quick with reasonable pricing. read more

My husband and I love to find local places like this. We needed a salad and let me say that their ginger dressing is the best ever. It's light and refreshing. A wonderful, summer, light dressing. I ordered the Red Dragon and the Seahawks Roll. The red dragon was a standard roll. Not exciting but simply executed. But the Seahawks roll with the fried crispy on top was excellent. It had flavor and texture. My husband ordered the Kiss of the Dragon. The flavor was excellent. Not your traditional sweet and spicy. We were both pleasantly surprised by how the texture of the chicken married with the vegetables. Our server was so pleasant. She checked on us and gave us time to review while not feeling rushed to order. I didn't check out the bathroom, but my husband said the men's room was clean. We will definitely go back. read more

I got the UNCW roll and I could have eaten several of them it was so good. I got the dragon crisps as an appetizer and while good they were a little tiny for the price.
