    Pad Kee Mao

Came here for take out. Very easy to park and go inside to order. I was given a menu when I entered to make an order. There were chairs to sit on while I waited for the food to be made. I ordered the thai basil stir fry with chicken and the pad kee mao to go. The food was made in about 10-15 minutes. Very easy take out and stayed very hot. Portions were a good size and had leftovers afterwards. The flavors were good and tasted fresh. Prices were average for the dishes. Overall very easy and convenient take out.

My favorite sushi spot in Carolina Beach. The customer service is great. The food is great. Please try this place if you haven't already. Best items: Crab rangoons (the best I've ever had! Hands down!) Philadelphia roll Spicy tuna roll Appetizer sampler Bagel roll Volcano roll Spicy salmon roll Seahawk roll Dynamite roll

Sushi was fresh and came out pretty quickly. The waiter was super friendly and attentive. It's pretty quiet during lunch time and they gave me a tablet near an outlet which was super helpful. The ginger tasted a little stale and like whatever old container it was held in which is why I'm giving 4 stars.

Kaylee was absolutely amazing. Very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend coming here, everything was perfect. The owner was even generous enough to give us tempura ice cream. Sweetest people!

Very reasonable prices the service is great and the inside is nice it's usually closed when I think to go but if you're looking for affordable Asian food this is a good option

We had some very good dishes tonight. Service was good. We were a bit disappointed in the spice levels. Things were very mild. We ordered the Fire Dumplings (sorry no pic) they were good but not spicy at all. So don't let the little peppers on the menu stop you from trying something.

    Penang Curry with Beef

I had driven by this place a few times and wondered about it. From the outside, it looked like a Wendy's building or some other fast food place. I read online many positive reviews. I started with the spring rolls appetizer. Only one came on the plate, which was unusual to me compared to any other Asian restaurant that I've been to where you typically get two (note that their website does state two. Hmmmm). The roll was hot, nice and crunchy, and filled with vegetables. The dipping sauce was sweet and went well with the spring roll. For my entree, I had the Penang curry with beef and white rice. Most excellent!! I just love the flavors of this dish. I typically will go for the chicken, but the beef was tender and just the right protein for the curry. Good size portion too that I bought leftovers home (although I ate all the beef). I want to go back and try their sushi. Overall a good experience here. If there two spring rolls, I would have given 5 stars.

Had Asian for dinner before l left Wilmington. This place sounded appetizing being Asian Fusion. The menu had dishes from China, Thailand and Japan. The staff was very nice and polite and the atmosphere was fairly typical of an Asian Restaurant. The food was fair but not gourmet. Presentation was nice but overall it was very basic. I ordered a Bento Box with Hibachi Chicken. It came with a spring roll, salad crab wonton and a few pieces of California roll. The ginger dressing was too sweet. The citrus overpowered the ginger to the point you couldn't taste the ginger at all. The chicken and rice was pretty simple and the rolls were sub par at best. Even the crab wontons were good yet seemed to be missing something. Overall the dish was fair for the price but about the same as one would get from a corner hibachi to go. I also ordered chicken nuggets and fries for the little one but alas, it went uneaten. I'm sure either it was just a lackluster evening for the chefs or just one of those places one would eat at in a spur of the moment thought. Not great but fair.

This was my first time going here! Service was amazing and I loved our waitress. The Thai tea was so good that my friends all tried it and one ordered their own. Our waitress even double checked to see how it was made because we were curious. I loved my brother's General Tso's stir fry and loved how their cooked their noodles. My brother no so much and for reference he loves noodles like what you'd get from traditional Chinese take out. I find Kyoto's way better. I've only had Pad Kee Mao from one other restaurant before. I prefer the other restaurant's, but Kyoto's wasn't bad! I did add white sauce to it. Also it was amazing reheated. I think because the sauce had time to sit and soak up in the noodles. I also love trying tofu at places (especially Asian restaurants) to see how they prepare it because I eat meat but love tofu also. I really liked how they prepared theirs. It had nice flavor!

First one in and I walked from the hotel Lela only 1/2 mile away. At the recommendation of my super sweet server I tried the fire cracker shrimp which was a regular specialty on he table placard. I also noticed the cod miso which intrigued me so I order it. What brought in though was the Hamichi Kama which I ordered also. On top of this they brought out a black seaweed/gyoza sample. The. On top of that since it is my birthday week they brought me the green tea mocha. Wow to say I am stuff was an understatement. So since this was a progressive ordering situation which I created the food came out sort of mish mash. I started with black seaweed / gyoza sampler. It was awesome. I would have ordered more had I not already ordered . Then I moved on to the bang bang shrimp. 8 breaded shrimp with their version of bang bang sauce. Plump shrimp with a chili sauce. Not bad. The sauce was just a chili style sauce and so left some to be desired. Then the cod miso came out. Wow. Super hot and had actual chunks of cod and veggies in it. Very good. Then the Hamichi Kama which came out. Amazing. I had this before in Japan and in West Virginia. Amazing. Definitely a recommend. Then they brought out the green tea mochi with green tea ice cream. It was the best I have ever had. Amazing meal definitely needed the walk back to try and walk some of it off. The restaurant is small and reservations are highly recommended. Definitely worth the trouble and I plan to return in the future to try some other items.

The freshness of the food is evident in the taste. The food is also plentiful and shareable. We started with Blue Crab Ragoons which were freshly made. We then shared the seasonal Fire & Ash roll. When it came out I was skeptical of the "orange colored mush" on top but that is exactly what made the roll. The mush was tuna that was slightly smoked. All of the ingredients within the roll were very fresh and the roll was huge. The Angry Tiger was wrapped in white seaweed and included both spicy tuna, salmon, and shrimp tempura. Excellent. The General Tso Chicken had the right level of spice. The ending was the best. Tempura Fried Ice Cream which is a seasonal specialty. Vanilla ice cream covered in a dome of pound cake and fried topped with a drizzle of strawberry and chocolate. Service was terrific. My drink was continually refilled and the server was super nice. You order by checking items on a laminated wipe-off page and it is brought to you. Don't order all of your dinner at once, take your time starters, soup, salad first. You may order as much as you want but it's considered exceptionally rude to waste food. Think of it as a buffet but instead of walking steam tables, you select what you want and it's prepared and brought to you. If you don't know what you like, try from 1-2 piece selections first. Pay attention to the * on items. There's a clear warning that raw and undercooked dishes have some risks. If you have weak tummy or immune, don't eat those. Also use caution if you have strong allergies - especially shellfish - as that's a common worry with any sushi/sashimi place. These dishes lean "California Style" but cover most diets. You will have a much better experience if you don't over-order any round. It's not expensive unless you've never eaten in the Grand Strand. Especially buffet style. There is no buffet that allows you to share a plate or take-home free. This IS a buffet just with a different food service model than most are accustomed to. It's also not a place for kids unless you know they eat this menu. They'll complain and you'll pay too much for it. Ambiance can be very nice and borders intimate. It's not Tokyo authentic but we're not in Tokyo. We (4) ate on Memorial Day Weekend '26 evening for just about $40 per seat. We all enjoyed our own preferences of Sushi, Sashimi, and Hibachi. The rolls were solid too, however we didn't try their hibachi so I can't say anything about those items. For the price, the quality is honestly hard to beat around here. We've got a few sushi spots nearby but this one is quickly becoming one of my go to favorites in the area.
