Always reliable always good and fresh. I really enjoy their food. They have redesigned their dining room it's very comfortable. The food is very reasonable. I get the spring rolls, the rice platter and dry noodle bowls love the lemongrass chicken version. Service is friendly and efficient Neighborhood favorite for a great meal!

It's been a while, so let me do an update. The place we were going to was on the busy side so we opted for the Chopstix. Seated and menus given, nice. Visually some good looking food and the flavors of my dry noodle bowl was good though I thought it would have been hotter due to the chili pepper picture next to it. Fresh spring rolls were average, the drag was the banh mi sandwich. It was a lemon grass chicken with no flavor and worst was that it was mushy (wet). The bottom of the bread was falling apart like it was setting for too long. Last words...maybe not.

    The name of the restaurant

We loved the soup on this chilly evening. The atmosphere is casual and quick. Tried the Pho - it was a very good portion size and two people could have had it. Glad we didn't get an appetizer. The servers are sweet and friendly. Came and asked how the food was and if we needed anything. I got a loooootttt of lemon and they provided no questions asked. Will try again if we come by. Must stop.

We came here because the friend we ate with only eats Vietnamese food and is very frugal. Our server was friendly. Food was okay. I ordered the mango salad. It was good but was drenched in sauce and would have been so much better with less. My partner ordered the Bun Bo Hue. I liked the thick white noodles which had a nice bite to them. The chicken wings were okay but nothing special. Overall, an okay experience. I'd come back here for a cheaper meal but it wouldn't be my first choice.

I'm only leaving a 3 start review, because for some reason all the reviews that have one star it says to go on the app to read the full review. i just want everyone to please check the food!!!! I went in to eat with my family. I Order 3 waters never got them, we asked for chili oil also never got it. I had to get up and ask for it again. Then while I was about to take sip of my boba drink I see this... a freakin roach on my drink!!! & all they offer was to take the drinks of my bill. I will be calling the health department for sure. I'm only leaving a 5 start review, because for some reason all the reviews that have one star it says to go on the app to read the full review. just want everyone to please check the food!!

Good food. Good service. Ambience was casual. Wonton Soup: Delicious broth filled with fresh veggies, glass noodles, and a variety of meat. Pork Spring Rolls and Vegetarian Spring Rolls - freshly made so you can customize ingredients. The wrap was so fresh, the rolls were sticking to each other. We wanted no cilantro with the pork rolls, and no veggie ham in the vegetarian rolls. Only tofu. I also like that you can get a half order of spring rolls. BBQ Pork Bun - good and flavorful. They have a huge menu of vegetarian dishes. They also have a wide selection of boba drinks.

    calamari

Calamari is my favorite to order here on chopstix, i order once a week. but now i ordered one and i'm very disappointed, they gave me a very little calamari and the taste is not similar at all and it's not chewable. I hope it won't happen again! i provided the image for you to see the difference.

    FRENCH FRIES

Its cute on the inside, everyone was nice and greeted me when I walked in, bathrooms were clean and the restaurant has mostly booth seating.. boba was delicious, the fries we're too plain I probably won't get those again.. I got popcorn chicken that came with sweet-and-sour sauce, the chicken was more soft than crunchy which was also just OK.. service was fast and prices weren't too bad

Great delicious food with affordable non-SF Bay Area prices! Finish your meal with a wide assortment of slush/boba & tea drinks! Also offers cheaper cash payment instead of credit card payments. The place is very spacious with plenty of seating choices. Lots of booth options.

The food is delicious! The prices are very reasonable, open from lunch straight through dinner. But the best thing here is the owner, sweet Hauk. She takes care of everyone!!! A kind smile, hugs and treats everyone special. Thank you, sweet lady. Big open, clean space is comfortable. The service staff is wonderful. I always enjoy visiting here. Enjoy!

The food here was good, the prices were reasonable, and they had a kids' menu. The staff was really friendly, and the service was top-notch. I will come back when I return to Monterey.

I was craving boba & was happy to find something in this area particularly on my way to the hotel. I mean home made boba with quality ingredients? Say lesss... I loved it so much I came back a second time before heading home that trip AND came back a third time this year with my extended family cus I knew it would hit the spot. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any drink. You can customize the sweetness level and pick from a variety of flavors. I did the giant lemonade for the aunties in the car and it was GIANT lol, it was enough for all 3 of them and my daughter to share. I was honestly surprised to read a few negative reviews because WHAT? The first time I ordered some egg rolls I mentioned to the staff that I think it might have been a bad batch because my daughter and I thought it tasted spoiled maybe? And she immediately addressed the situation and apologized and was truly worried. She told me I got you, the next time I come back but I told her I was from the Bay and she mentioned they moved from the 209. She also ensured us that they make it fresh in house and surprised me and gave me a FRESH new order even though I initially declined. This is a family owned business and they let me feel like family too. I tried the pandan cake on my second trip on the way home and ughhh sooo good. I wasn't gonna do it but I heard another customer come in saying she comes in just for that and I knew I had to try it. It has the perfect sweetness, a little dense but still soft and fluffy. The icing wasn't overly sweet. I'd take a whole cake for my birthday lol. I think I also read another review talking about the donuts being raw? Idk, but it sounds like this person has never had a MOCHI donut lol. Anyways, can't wait to come back for more drinks, more snacks, and that cake!

I actually was not that hungry but after discussion of the dish with the owners I just had to sample it right then. I ordered it to go but not even kidding I almost ate all three pieces it was that good. Oh my goodness, hands down some of the very best Fish N Chips I ever ate. Nice plateful with three good size pieces. The batter is flavorful with just the right amount of crunch. The vinegrette sauce with aioli mayo and a mix of spices makes the fishes flavors blend very nicely. Cambodian crunchy slaw is a very tasty pairing. Maybe just a tad on the salty side but otherwise perfect. A good helping of narrow fries as well. Definitely enough food to be shareable if you are able to or even want to. I will be looking forward to returning for the light flavorful Alaskan cod at Cong N Go as long as they continue to serve it. Thanks so much for an excellent and very enjoyable afternoon meal. The food here overall is amazing and all of you looking for a change of pace have to stop by and sample the menu.

I stopped in for lunch and ordered a couple of sandwiches to go, thinking it would be a good way to try the food before committing to a larger purchase like steaks, pasta, or other items from the shop. While I waited, I looked around the store at some of the other products, but nothing really stood out to me, and the service felt a bit underwhelming. The sandwiches themselves were just okay--nothing particularly memorable for the price. A few hours later my stomach also felt a bit uneasy, which didn't leave the best impression. Overall, the experience fell short of what I was expecting. Perhaps I just caught them on an off day, but based on this visit, I probably won't be returning.

It opened, closed abruptly and then closed again after having very spotty service. I would often call the Monterey Jacks to see what was going on with the Aptos store. Despite it being the same business, the staff at both were always put off by my genuine questions. Especially given that I LOVE thier food and have written very positive reviews. When I called to find out why the Aptos location closed again without notice, it was like I was majorly inconveniencing them. Maybe, thank you for your loyalty. I literally ate their food at least 4 times a week. And I will go to the Monterey store to get those little dumplings I love so much. But maybe instead of treating customers like their love of your food is an inconvenience, have some skills at turning the experience to a win. So I ask here, why did Jacks Aptos shut down again?

I'm happy to say that now there is a decent asian place that we can drop by if we have a craving or if we are bringing overseas friends to the aquarium. Very clean interiors, you seat yourself and order at the counter. We had the beef noodle soup, veggie noodle soup, and the XLB. The beef noodle soup was mostly soy sauce based, not too salty, just the right amount of savoring. The meat was not beef shank, but a leaner cut with less connective tissue so don't expect any chewy tendons. And the noodles were cooked with just the right chew. XLB was only okay. Not terrible but not something I would order again. Overall decent, and for Monterey standards definitely a 4 out of 5. Obviously cannot compare to beef noodle shops in the south bay, but this will do if you are spending a day touring the local area and have the craving for noodle soup. No free water here by the way, you'll have to buy a bottle of water at the front counter so plan accordingly.

When we arrived they had a small parking lot but busy because they do a lot of Door Dash and Uber Eats business. Once inside I took a quick look at the menu and saw they had breakfast burritos of either Chorizo-Sausage-Ham-Bacon or Veggie. I chose Chorizo breakfast burrito($10.39) The shop is run by the owner-he was the cashier and the cook. In talking to him,he was telling me that his family owns multiple Mexican small shops like this in the Juarez Mexico area and El Paso Texas area.Says that all the shops use the same recipe for their hot sauce that is served with the burritos. Once the burrito arrived,it was both heavy and warm.Once I cut it open,I was able to appreciate the craftsmanship of this burrito in all its chorizo, egg, potato and cheese glory-it was beautiful. As pretty as it was though,it tasted even better,I had planned on only eating half of it as I had a tee time in less than an hour but one bite led to another and then it was gone. I've had many breakfast burritos in my day and as unexpected as this is to say, this may have been the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Also the aforementioned family-recipe hot sauce that came with the burrito was so spicy yet so tasty--perfect combo to a perfect burrito. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the Monterey area and you want to treat yourself to some upper echelon breakfast burritos-do yourself a favor and stop at 3 Mundos sandwich shop-a top tier food experience awaits.
