Many vegetarian options, quick service, and affordable pricing. Flavorful lunch! Small place but very good ambiance.

Rolls were loose and everything kept falling out of them. I also was the only person there and it took them almost 20mins to get these ready for me all while the two ladies at the front counter were just giggling and chatting it up the entire time. It just doesn't look good. Next time I'll just go to noodle bar in Marina.

Closed store, note the time on the door and on my phone.

As a follow up, the manager made it right and we are going to try again. We have always enjoyed the food.

Ugh, I've been visiting Chopstix for ages. Love the concept and food. They used to be a great value. Back when the only location was Seaside, this was the hottest spot in town. The amount of food for the price was amazing. Well, as the company grew into new locations things started to change. Now that they have a Carmel location it was great to get hot, fresh, inexpensive food at a great value. I've always noticed that the servings were smaller at this location. I just figured it was the price to pay to be in Carmel. Not anymore, today's order of Shaken Beef had literally 5 small pieces of meat. I have never seen such a small portion. I inquired with the serving staff and they said everything looked normal! What? It was smaller than a child's serving! The service was bleak and unwelcoming. It doesn't seem that the staff cares. This will be my last visit to this location. This is ridiculous. What started as an amazing value and dining experience has been watered down and neutered into a cash grab.

This place used to be amazing but I guess with inflation and COVID things have changed. Extremely disorganized. The main course showed up before appetizers. Our wings portion was ridiculously small. 4 wings for $9 and they were burnt. The noodles were also very small portions.

I love the pho at this place. The broth has the perfect balance of sweetness and savoriness, and the portion is generous. The flavors come together so well, making every bite satisfying. I could eat this anytime.

I wanted something to drink that wasn't sweet, so I tried their raspberry ice tea. They used a sugary syrup to flavor the tea, and that was a strike out. It was sweeter than a soda, so it went back and I swapped it out for a plain unsweetened ice tea. Then we tried the cheesy garlic bread, which we were really looking forward to. Welp, it came out with mozzarella cheese and a ton of corn. No butter. No garlic. We all looked at each other when we tried it. Ok, let's try their brussel sprouts. Those are hard to mess up - but sure enough, they managed to. They deep fried them to the point they were black and charred. There wasn't anything left of the brussel sprout itself, it was mostly crunchy charcoal. At this point, we all ordered something we assumed would be safe for our main. I got the sliders and a side salad. I had the salad but only of the sliders. The cheese on it was queso, like you use to dip chips, so it was ran all over the place and the burger was a grease ball. I won't even get into what everyone else had, but they had similar experiences. Overall, it was pretty disappointing. Maybe there are other things or other times where this place is better, but it was a swing and a miss for us.

Unfortunately, the chow mein was one of the worst I've had. It was mostly noodles with very little meat, and the meat that was included tasted old. I ended up throwing away at least half of it. Normally, I would have sent it back, but since it was a delivery order that wasn't practical. I had hoped to save some for leftovers, but the quality wasn't good enough to justify reheating. I also ordered two char siu baos, but after my experience with the rest of the meal, my expectations are pretty low. My biggest concern was the packaging. None of the food was sealed in any way. The chow mein container had popped open during transit and was handed to me already open. The other takeout container wasn't taped or sticker-sealed either, and the soup came in a plastic container with no seal at all. In my opinion, restaurants using delivery services should place tamper-evident stickers or tape on all containers. Food should not be arriving open or capable of popping open during delivery. The lack of sealing was concerning and did not inspire confidence. The soup was also only about half full, which made me wonder whether some had spilled during transit or if that was the intended portion size. Overall, the beef with broccoli was merely okay, the chow mein was very disappointing, and the packaging raised concerns. Based on this experience, I do not plan to order from or visit this restaurant again.

Between the two of us, we shared: - Miso cacio e pepe: we came specifically for this! It's one of their most well known dishes, and I highly highly recommend! So creamy and savory, and the mafaldine pasta has such a nice texture, the ruffled edges hold on to sauce perfectly. We also added a bit of gochujang that came with the bibimbap and it was so good with some spice. - Dolsot bibimbap: my husband's favorite Korean dish so of course we had to get it! An excellent variety of veggies, which was nice since we barely got any veg on vacation. The kalbi beef was so juicy and delicious, and not overcooked. - Matcha Tiramisu: absolute must get, so unique. The cake layers were soaked in matcha, and topped off with some fresh fruit. - Grapefruit sake spritz: I was on the fence between this cocktail and the yuzu champagne spritz. Our waitress said that the grapefruit spritz was much less sweet, and I am so glad I decided to go with that option! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, not overwhelming. If I could go back in time, I would just get a second order of tots instead of any entrees (it was that good).
