I only found this by looking on Google Maps, Mai Thai sells boba as "Boba Fatt," a pun off of Star Wars. It's not a separate storefront. I decided to do a male your own with 2 flavors - pineapple strawberry, black tea, milk, no added sweetener, 24oz. If you get a holographic sticker it means you get a free drink. It cost $8.57 after ripping 15%. They also have a lavender flavor and many peanut based flavors. The mangolorian is mango, pineapple, and coconut and is the only one with a pun in the name. I wish they explained the flavor on the menu itself, I had to do some digging to find this out. This was still quite sweet. It does not have real fruit. I didn't taste any tea. I would only recommend this if you want sweet drinks and not if you were looking for quality tea. read more

Family was craving Thai food and I found Mai Thai on yelp! We arrived on a Saturday around 12:15pm and it was fairly quiet. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options - there is a whole separate vegan menu! We ordered family style and got Pad Se Ew, Thai style Chow Mein, Panang Curry, and Stir Fried Mixed Vegetable. Then for dessert, we got the Fried Ube Rolls. Pad Se Ew (4/5): This dish could have been spicier/flavorful. We used the spices on the side and that helped. Tofu was cooked well! Thai Style Chow Mein (3/5): This also lacked a bit of seasoning - it was a bit bland. Could have used soy sauce and spices. Good portion size Panang Curry (4.5/5): Very flavorful! Good spice level as well. Wish this came with rice by default but nonetheless we enjoyed the dish Stir Fried Mixed Vegetable (5/5): Our favorite dish! I usually don't get stir fry but this was seasoned well and good portion size. Felt healthy Ube rolls (5/5): Nice way to end the meal! The ube rolls were not too sweet but that balanced nicely with the sweetness of the coconut sauce. Our favorite Thai place was closed and this place is new so we gave it a try. I ordered online and liked that the online ordering program allowed to add more of some items or remove others and to indicate how hot you wanted it. As vegetarians we always ask for tofu rather than meat and no fish sauce. So I was hopeful! The food was ready very fast. When I went to pick it up the restaurant was empty and the interior is very plain and not fancy: that doesn't bother us as sometimes hole in the wall places have the best food. Unfortunately, our food was just as plain and uninspiring as the decor. We ordered spring rolls, Thai fried rice and pad Thai. The pad Thai didn't have sprouts, peanuts, green onions or cilantro. It did have large chunks of carrot. The fried rice was very plain too. The vegetables didn't taste fresh and there wasn't any flavor. The spring roll were huge but most were filled with lettuce and the peanut sauce wasn't good either. I won't try again but face three stars because of how fast it was. I was doing laundry next door and wanted something to drink...and the laundromat was doing repairs on thier vending machines...so ended up here at Mai Thai. I was only going to get a Thai iced tea...but as soon as I entered, the decor of this tiny place was fascinating. Whoever the owner is, cares alot about the appearance...which made me decide to check the menu. I ordered my tea...and on impulse, being a tiny bit hungry...ordered some pot stickers. Now I'm not familiar enough with Thai food to know whether pot stickers are Thai...especially considering every Japanese and Chinese restaurant around here sells them...but I figured it was a inexpensive way to sample food from here without spending much. The Tea and the Pot stickers were barely a 5 minute wait...which for the tea seemed about right, but for the food...a bit quick. I was prepared for medium warm pot stickers that had probably been kept in a warmer for who knows how long. All I can report is...WRONG...piping hot and crispy Pot Stickers...that were stuffed full and were delicious. Easily the best I've had...and I'm a huge fan of pot stickers and have had them in dozens of places. I'll definitely be back here to try other menu items and will report on that. But judging from the pot stickers and the decor...it's gotta be great! BTW, typical PG staff...at least in my experience...not exactly outgoing and overly friendly...but very kind and efficient. But this seems to be a whole PG vibe. It's like a small town, they know they have a great community...but until you prove to be friendly, they don't immediately open up. Found Mai Thai Cuisine on Yelp and was not disappointed at all! Ordered via DoorDash for pick up and the food was ready when promised. The generous portion of pad se ew with chicken was appreciated! Lots of chicken and broccoli. I loved how they added cilantro to the noodles. It really brought out all the flavors. It's served with crushed peanuts on the side which completed the dish. They really packed it in the togo box where it was practically overflowing. The pumpkin curry with tofu was also delicious. It was not overly salty like some other Thai restaurants and was served with many pieces of squash and tofu. The tofu used was cubed into little pieces. I picked up a meal from here while we were vacationing in the area. The lady who helped me with the pickup and the waiter who got me a glass of water while I was waiting were super nice. They get 5 stars for service. Unfortunately, the food did not match the service. The veg pad thai was insipid. It was noodles with some sauce and a few carrots thrown in, could have definitely used more flavor and broccoli or tofu. Same with the fried rice, it was not well mixed and there were clumps of white rice. Food was a 2, rounding up to 3 because of the service. Maybe they just had an off day. read more

Well finally they have a store front. I used to follow Mai Thai around Monterey county at all the Farmers Markets and local events. They have the best Thai food around. The noodle bowls are just like at the farmers market. I recommend medium to spicy. It is just the right amount of heat and flavor. I also got their vegetarian spring rolls And these were spot on with a delicious peanut sauce. I'll be back soon to try their other dishes. I am really glad to see they have their own place. I came here for my birthday lunch instead of supporting big chain restaurants. Our experience started off great! Dani hopped on the register from her lunch break to help take our order. She was kind, patient and answered all our questions. We ordered the yellow curry with chicken combo, the pad Thai with tofu combo, and a mango sticky rice dessert. Pros: - yellow curry was delicious - mango sticky rice had good flavor and sweetness - egg rolls were nice, crispy, and hot Cons: - the salad was going bad, left pink wetness that smelled rotten - pad Thai smelled fermented (almost like dog or cat food honestly) and tasted just as terrible - Thai tea had ZERO sweetness. Tasted like watered down creamer with a hint of tea flavor colored orange When we informed the staff about our experience, the owner Ava/Denise cut us off to say she'd give us a full refund and to NEVER COME BACK! I was in shock that a business owner would say such a thing. We told her we don't need a full refund and that we enjoyed the curry and dessert. We had food from Mai Thai last year and I remember it being really good, large portions. I didn't leave a review because I accidentally got it too spicy. We got it again last night and I was surprised to see much smaller containers, but ok since I'm trying to work on my weight anyway haha The one thing that REALLY threw me was the side of rice I ordered for almost 4 bucks came in a ziplock bag. That just seemed really weird. We still ate it and it was ok, but it was so "sticky" we could barely even cut it apart with a knife. We ended up just stabbing it with our forks and biting it. I've had sticky rice before and never had it be this consistency. Also, consistency doesn't explain why it was in a ziplock bag... We also had yellow curry, drunken noodles and papaya salad. All ok. My husband and I stumbled upon this place while having brunch across the street. It worked out great since we were just about done, and we spotted that they were opening. It was about 11, and it seemed as if they already served a group of people (sitting around a large table in the middle of the restaurant) prior to their normal business hour. The young lady who was taking my order was friendly and helpful in guiding me through the menu since I've never been, and felt overwhelmingly lost as to what I wanted to order. Ended up with Pad Thai, Red Curry, Thai Fried Rice, and Taro Boba Tea. After paying, I waited outside with my husband. About five minutes in, the young lady brought out my drink and also told us how much more time the food was going to take. Another five minutes or so, I was just about to walk back in, but she beat me to it with our order in her hand. Still warm to the touch, got home to open up nicely sealed boxes with a decently portion of food--although, could be a little bit more, price wise. Flavor wise, everything was at least seasoned well with just the right amount of 'medium' heat, per my request. I try never to give a poor review, but this was barely Thai food. The Tom ka veg soup consisted of literally broccoli and carrots ONLY! The soup was so thick it was more like a curry than a soup and not in a good way. The pad se ew was beyond greasy and barely reminiscent of anything Thai. The side salad had a dressing that was unrecognizable. The drink was forgotten, which is hardly the worst part. While I hate to speak poorly of any restaurant or business for that matter-for the money I spent especially during these challenging times one hopes for better. The BEST part was the lovely door dasher Hinda that delivered the food. She was great. The food itself however, I will never order again. First off delivery was fast! Promised in 45 mins and it was here in about half an hour. The portions are generous. You can customize your dish which I LOVE. I personally don't care for zucchini or cauliflower, you can add, substitute away (for a nominal fee) per item. - snap peas -bean sprouts -broccoli -onions -cauliflower -extra of whatever protein you select (Tofu, Pork, Shrimp, Chicken) -and MORE His green curry was very good. The shrimp were HUGE. He says the iced tea was good. (Not my thing, I take his word for it) Mine was ok. I should have gotten double pork. The white rice was perfect, the red rice was ok. I'm not sure what it's supposed to taste like? Tasted like overcooked white rice to me. IDK. If you're looking for delivery or pick up Thai this place is good.
