Food is great! I frequent this place often as it is very convenient to me. I've never had a problem with service, in fact food usually comes out quick. Fridays and Saturdays can become quite busy and you will have a wait time. Price is reasonable for portion sizes. Also, bathrooms are always clean. read more

I want to start off by saying I love the food!!! The waitstaff is amazing. But when you go to pay the bill your receipt at the bottom says "Discount of 3.95% if paid with cash"' is printed. but when you pull out your cash the amount is still the same as what is printed on the bill. You do not get a discount like the receipt plainly says. The owner in so many words say you actually get an up charge when you pay with your debit/credit card. Now I completely understand the charge if you are paying with a card because those 3rd party companies that process the card charges are raping businesses. The owner says that the menu prices are a cash paid price so that is what the bill reflects. no where no how does it say anywhere that the prices are cash paid prices. So I did not get the 3.95% DISCOUNT as stated in the bill and the owner will not get my business anymore. BTW. he said "Good!I don't want your business!". I just don't want anyone else to get who doed by this owner for his misconstrued message on the receipt. I have been going here for 3yrs, and have not reviewed it. You know why? Because I'm focused on the eating. When I think about taking pictures, it's too late, the food is gone. This place has been consistently amazing for the 3yrs I have been going. The staff have always been great, always. The place is clean, bright and open, with the choice of sitting at the sushi bar. I have had sushi everywhere, and this place has me going back everytime. The sushi is the absolute best. Not pretty good, the best! You can go to a high priced restaurant and get sushi, and think it's the best because you paid a pretty penny, but quality out shines prices for me. You will not regret it. For kids, they have hibachi grill, with your choice of meats and veggies, or go for the true blue and get chicken nuggies and fries;) The hibachi grill is amazing. Tender, perfectly cooked steak, with fresh veggies and your choice of udon noodles or fried rice. Get the noodles;) You can also choose, shrimp, chicken,scallops or all of it:) Now, again, my pictures were late, because I dove in and started eating before I remembered. We've ordered from here a couple of times before and were in the mood for sushi tonight, so we had it delivered for dinner. We ordered a shrimp hibachi from the kids' menu for our daughter, sashimi appetizer, PlayBoy Eel Roll, and Red Bull Roll. The items came thoughtfully packaged. Nothing was spilled or out of place like you may sometimes worry about when you're having takeout sushi. My PlayBoy roll was generally satisfying. Usually, I find that a lot of affordable sushi has a larger portion of rice to protein which always leaves me feeling unfulfilled. That wasn't the case with my roll which tasted much more balanced. My husband wasn't into his Red Bull roll though. The meat tasted overcooked and the sauce used didn't save it for him. I had a bite and it kind of reminded me of overdone roast beef with bbq sauce. Our daughter wasn't too into the hibachi shrimp either. It was a bit salty for our taste. However, the sashimi appetizer was decent overall. The tuna, yellowtail, and salmon were especially smooth and buttery and that was very enjoyable. It consistently continues to be my favorite thing to order here. read more

I always crave sushi and saw this place had great reviews. I must say I was a little scared to try it after we got on the road and it seemed like we are going out in the country in the middle of nowhere. I was thinking to myself that there couldn't be a good sushi joint out there. Fortunately I was wrong! We were greeted by a friendly gentlemen who sat us down. The decor was great and everything felt new. The staff was very accommodating and answered any of my questions about the menu. We chose to get the hibachi steak and chicken. The meals come with a choice of vegetables and a variety of rice and noodle option too. We ended up getting the Chopstix sushi roll and it was so delicious! Had a great dinner here tonight after work. They have a great little system in which you choose a style Habachi, Teriyaki or spicy teriyaki, then a protein (steak, chicken. shrimp, salmon, scallops, or any combination of the two) You can also choose a mixed veggie option. Then you choose your veggies, mushrooms, onions, carrots, zucchini, broccoli, or a mix of all of them. Then you choose your starch, fried rice, steamed rice, or udon noodles. They have beer and wine, no liquor in clouding my favorite beer when eating Asian food, Sapporo. Good service, in a casual atmosphere makes Chopstix a great option for a good dinner. read more

I went here with a friend after looking up new-to-me restaurants to eat dinner. We like sushi, so off we went. I was impressed with the pick up drive-thru window on the side of the building which I'm sure makes to-go ordering easy because the parking lot is very very small and is adjacent to a gas station. Once inside, I wanted to stay because it smelled so good! The menu looks fun and inviting and the restaurant was very family-friendly. We came hungry so we ordered a good mix of things on the menu: -gyoza -crab maki -tempura rolls -hibachi chicken -hibachi shrimp I feel like I've had better. I'd never had bad sushi before this day. And I never thought I'd ever type those words much less say them aloud. My maki roll was warm. Not slightly chilled, or room temperature...warm. Warm as in, it had been made and rolled earlier in the day and sat around until someone ordered it. It was something to snack on while we waited for dumplings, but it was slightly disgusting. The dumplings were very greasy and not very flavorful. I dipped them in the soy based sauce it came with in order to slake off some of the grease. The sausage filling was flavorless. Again, I've had better. The hibachi chicken was not very good either. It too, had no flavor. The coin carrots tasted like candy (which some people like) and totally killed my tastebuds. The mayonnaise based sauce was watery and again... not much flavor. The mixed vegetables, however, were very good and if I could get away with getting steamed rice and those vegetables if I ever have to come here again, I'd do it. I really didn't like this place. So I go here quite a few times for lunch and their quality is still just as good. All the workers and owner is friendly. Their lunch hibachi menu is still really good and is always cooked well. I am not a big fan of the sweet carrots so I always substitute it with more mixed vegetables. As always, you must order a side of ginger sauce with the hibachi. As for their sushi, the specialty rolls are delicious. You must try their special hot sauce with it too, it's something different. The sizes of the standard sushi is a little on the small side and not as good and not as filling as their specialty rolls. read more

Not impressed. Not Asian fusion. First let me say, the ingredients were all fresh. I have no complaints that way. Spicy tuna was like eating canned tuna fish. Honestly it's like they opened a can of red tuna, mixed it with sauce and minced it up. Appetizer of spicy tuna nachos consisted of a large portion of rice placed on a plate with six chips and a glob of this tunafish mixture with avocado mixed up in it. There was nothing spicy about this at all and I was sorely disappointed especially for the nine dollar price tag. Calamari roll was topped with a large portion of fried calamari. However the batter was that that you would find it any Southern seafood restaurant. It should've been tempura, And the rolls was made with the same pieces of fried calamari. Not impressed. It was like eating at Libby Hill with a side of rice. My server was polite and attentive when I first sat down. He took my order very quickly and brought the food out quickly. But never returned until it was time for the check. I could have used a refill on my drink. Portion size was a little on the large side so I left feeling very full. Nothing was horrid. It was all OK and I ate it. But none of it was really great. I've been coming to chopsticks since they opened, and I feel the quality waning, bottom line I will not be back. read more

Being someone who was in the Navy and stationed in Japan for four years this lovely restaurant tends to have some of the best Sushi hands down. Love the hibachi chicken with any type of noodles. It's all good. Don't let the "Sushi" snobs fool you. Take it from someone who's been to a Sushi bar in Tokyo and spent hundreds of dollars eating delicious belly of the tuna (look it up, its the best sushi ever) Chopstix is a go to for the family at least twice a month if not more. read more

We had bad service on a take out order from june 12th for $112.89 The Tuna nigiri was of BAD quality also a tuna crunch roll was also bad, and we were told the NEXT time we come in we would get a credit for it On June 23rd we did come in, we had elizabeth served us that afternoon around 1 pm and my daughter was on the phone with her boss and elizabeth SNAPPED at her for being on the phone, But instead of just saying she would be back she decided to snap at her and then LEAVE and come back. That was totally uncalled for. Then the orders came and the TUNA NIGIRI was of poor quality and I asked for the manager and she agreed, and went to the back and cut a separate piece and brought it back the only difference it was thicker, and she agreed it did not look like what you normally serve, the excuse was there was no food coloring added. I have been eating sushi from 1976 on and IN JAPAN where I was stationed for 1 1/2 YEARS and that TUNA was POOR QUALITY. and I said just take it off, that is TWICE in a row. when we got the bill I questioned why I was NOT given credit for the last time and elizabeth keep INSISTED and RUDELY that I was given credit as I did NOT have to pay for the Tuna Nigiri this time even though I told the manager I was NOT paying for something that was NOT good, and it was INTACT and NOT TOUCHED on my plate. ADDED this to it when I complained about it the manager went to where the cooks were and all I got was DIRTY LOOKS from your staff. I have spent a large amount of money $80, $112.89 and 160 and my daughter who was snapped at has spent over $400 in 2 trips. For that money I expect good service and good food and on this trip I got NEITHER. Elizabeth pulled up the bill and showed a credit given for tuna nigiri against tuna nigiri which I keep saying over and over that I did NOT eat and complained about it and Elizabeth then informed me that is ALL the credit I will be given, SO one credit was good cause my daughter did eat it (she said it was NOT as good as last time we ate in the restaurant) and no credit for the other and it DISAPPEARS so $10 PLUS disappears and who does that help YOU, not the customer. This was a good lunch spot, the sushi rolls are around 5$ each and I got a big plate of rice, and shrimp for another 6$. 11$ for lunch seems like a deal. A variety of options and good place the service was quick and they know you are on lunch they get you in and out quick. They place was not busy and very clean. This was our first time here and we were pretty impressed. We got a couple sushi rolls, sashimi, hibachi and chicken wings to try a little bit of everything. Everything was good, but there was something about everything that I would have changed. The sushi rolls were very fresh and tasted great. My issue was a bit too much rice made the rolls huge and hard to eat. As far as sashimi I got eel (my fav) and although I was confused why it was served on top of cucumber, it worked. My problem with it was it needed to be grilled. Eel can be very slimy and that came through here, making it hard to swallow. If this was my first attempt at eel, I'd never want to try it again, luckily I've had enough eel to know this was subpar. The hibachi was good. Probably my favorite that I've had in triad. My only complaint here was the lack of steak- but for the price I can't complain. Lastly those wings. Flavor was good, but they looked as if they weren't crispy enough. To my surprise they were crispy, it just lacked the color, I'm assuming they were fried without batter or breading thus the bare chicken look. The restaurant was so clean and the waitress was so friendly, I'd definitely come back without a question, I know to stick to the sushi or hibachi. read more

I used to eat here quite regularly but have stop visiting entirely. My food was great 10% of the time, mediocre 70% of the time, and made them re-make it 20% of the time. On my family's last visit the manager actually told my wife they didn't want to fix any of their problems because they had enough business and didn't want to do anything to increase it. Ate here for dinner on a Friday night. Ordered the Crab Rangoon as an appetizer and it was pretty mediocre, but that's pretty typical for smaller Asian restaurants. I ordered the Chopstix Roll and my fiance ordered the Beef Eater Roll and both were mediocre. I've been here on two occasions in search of a replacement for my teriyaki chicken fix. Appetizer, I ordered a Spring Roll - nice and crispy, not greasy at all. The chili sauce was great, a touch sweet with a slight heat. Next, I couldn't resist ordering a sushi roll, Double Boogie. It was pretty tasty, I'd definitely order it again. To accompany the roll, it was recommended that I try the Wasabi "sauce". This sauce was very mild with a tinge of sweetness. I actually enjoyed it more than the typical soy sauce/wasabi paste mix (I could be wrong, but the wasabi paste appears to be whipped. It's very light in color and weight; it doesn't seem to have the same potency in taste as the typical wasabi paste. If I'm gonna eat wasabi, I gotta feel the rush of the burn!! Moving on.... the meal - teriyaki chicken, rice and veggies. As I stated in a former restaurant review, I don't like veggies cut like crinkly fries. It doesn't deflect from the taste of course, so again, I'll let it slide. The fried rice was great. It had a slight bite in texture, not overly soft just how fried rice should be. The teriyaki chkn was good, not great, but the quality of the meat is definitely there. The meat is tender. It's the teriyaki sauce that I disliked, simply too sweet for my liking. And when I dipped the meat into the white sauce, whoa! Along with my meal, I wanted a glass of sweet red wine. What's on hand is more on the dry side. The sake was recommended instead. The sake actually came in a 8oz bottle, which was interesting in itself. Hana Awaka is a sparklingly sake. It was alright, I still would've preferred the wine. Let's fast forward to when the bill came. This adorable, little 8oz bottle of sake cost $12.00, OMG. At that very moment, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I'd NEVEA order Hana Awaka again! I screamed *in my head*, I could've had another sushi roll for this price, ughhhhh! That's whatcha get when you don't ask for the wine list if for no other reason then to check pricing. Can't cry over spilled milk too long. 2nd visit, I had read some reviews about the hibachi steak. I was concerned about it being bland, but it wasn't. I really enjoyed it and preferred the hibachi option over the teriyaki. I added the white sauce to the fried rice and that was a better combination (my opinion of the white sauce remains the same). I was disappointed with the rice this time. It didn't have the same bite. It was slightly overcooked compared to before. On this visit, the lunch hour was over so maybe the rice had more time to steam. It's probably the same reason that the sweet carrots weren't hot and the veggies weren't as crisp, oh well. I also asked that the veggies be separate on the side, not mixed in with the steak, no such luck it all came mixed. Would I return again? Depends. It's a nice restaurant for the locale. However, it is neither convenient nor easily accessible to where I live or shop. Oh yes, I have to point this out. It's never professional to use terms of endearment i.e. sweetie and hun when servicing a customer. These terms were used a countless number of times in addressing me. Initially, I couldn't decipher what was being said. The terms were used at the tail end of a sentence, right before leaving the table. Besides, it's unexpected. On my 2nd visit I was prepared to address it, but as luck would have it, the two culprits weren't there. read more

This is by far the worst "asian" or " japanese" restaurant i have given an opportunity to. I love asian cuisines, and it is really hard for me to not to like them. So this says a lot. Following are the reasons. *atmosphere: common looking asian restaurant, staffed with all caucasian wait staffs. The sushi chefs are spanish. Which is all great, until the seevice is terrible and they know barely anything about the fold that they are serving. 99% of the customers are caucasian as well. And that speaks a lot when regarding an asian restaurant. *food: I ordered shrimp udon/hibachi, and a order of 2 yellow tail sashimi. Udon was hard and cold. And yellow tail was almost grey when they presented. It was scary to even try that. Since i paid for them and I was already having a hard time with the waitress (will explain), i decided to keep open-mind and tried them. I regreted as soon as the sashimi touched my tongue, with a hint of bad seafood smell. *service: I had asked our waitress for some sauce for yellowtail sashimi. For sushi expert, you all know usually yellowtails are served with pungzong or some vinegar based sauce. She (waitress) said she could go ask, which is really nice. Then she came back and said that, there is nothing vinegar based sauce at the sushi bar according to the "sushi chef". I was very disappointed and surprised that a sushi restaurant to not have a common sauce like that. With the grey looking sashimi, i asked politely for some plain vinegar, which i know they must have in restaurant. For granted, i know for a fact that you use vinegar to make the sushi rice. However, our waitress has replied firmly that there is NO VINEGAR IN THIS WHOLE RESTAURANT. I hope this explains why I left one or if i could, i would leave no star for this "restaurant".
