I had higher hopes for this little spot. We ordered food for delivery via Uber Eats, so we did not experience the restaurant, service or ambiance first hand. The food was a major letdown. Everything we ordered was bland without any real flavor that you'd expect from take out Chinese food. It came piping hot so we knew it was made fresh and the actual delivery time wasn't the issue. Egg Foo Young: bland. Lo Mein: no flavor. Orange Chicken: no real breading, too soft on the outside and dry chicken within. Hot and Sour Soup: wasn't hot or sour. We won't be ordering again unfortunately.

This tiny place is located in a relatively new strip center in the area of Summerfield where the road work is making a mess out of everything, and makes getting in and out of the parking lot interesting. There are 4 tables here, though most seem to get takeout. The menu is broad, covering all the usual suspects that are Americanized Chinese cuisine, and there are a few different dishes on the hand written board. We tried the Roast Pork Egg Foo Young, Pepper Steak, Szechuan Beef, and General Tso's Chicken - all of the "Lunch Special" variety, which comes with a choice of rice, each at $5.39 - and the results were rather a mixed bag as to quality and quantity. The Pepper Steak had a very, very nice flavor, and the meat was very tender, there just was little of the beef in the dish. The Szechuan Beef fell into the style that contains all manner of extraneous vegetables, such as carrots, broccoli, and snow peas. Again, the overall taste wasn't at all bad, just far too little beef, far too many vegetables, and almost no heat. The General Tso's Chicken was very tasty, and far less doughy than most versions, but there was little spiciness here. The Roast Pork Egg Foo Young was simply awful, very bland and much over cooked, giving portions of the omelets a bitter, charred taste. The Pork Fried Rice was quite good once the seasoning was increase with soy sauce. Like I said, a mixed bag. Might try some other items like Egg Rolls, Chicken Wings, and Black Pepper Chicken. We'll see.

We only get takeout but the food is always quick and consistent. The teriyaki chicken (skewers) and Singapore noodles are our go to.

She threw out three options, but number three, Imperial Koi would mean I would have the opportunity to write a new Yelp review, so I was all in! Imperial Koi is easy to find. I've passed it several times on my way to and from Temple. Emanuel. Right off New Garden Road with plenty of parking once you figure out how to get to the upper level parking.. It was very nice inside. It was almost fancy but certainly felt comfortable being casually dressed. I liked that option.... The menu was quite varied although Sally said they are known for their sushi. I enjoy sushi, but knowing I'm leaving for a cruise with my kids in a few days and I'm going to eat every single thing I can get my hands on, I decided to go with something a bit less fattening and chose their hibachi chicken. I was really happy to see that they offered brown rice, which seems to be a hot commodity these days in any restaurant. We ordered some edamame as an appetizer. All delicious and plentiful. The meal and the company were delightful. Sally and I had not seen each other for a while so there was lots to catch up on and we both had good news which is always fun. The meal was very tasty and although I had thought about taking half of it home in a doggy bag, I decided to eat the whole thing and it was scrumptious. The portion was not huge but certainly plenty, and once again, I really appreciated i the brown rice. The place was pretty full on a weeknight which is a good sign they are doing well! The service was good. The ambiance was nice, and the food was very tasty... And they have brown rice! LOL I will be back.

Overall, it was enjoyable and I'd eat here again! ***edit based on response receive - my dish came out the first round but since we didn't know the delay time or anything else other than "right out" on the third dish, we waited to eat for 5 minutes and that's why my food wasn't to temp; as for the bathrooms, it's hard to ask for directions when your server hasn't been by your table in awhile and everyone else is walking quickly, with their hands full, or not making eye contact. Business owners should apologize for short comings, not make excuses or advise why the customer was inadequate.***

We were looking for a new experience and I remembered saving this place a while ago. I was able to make a quick reservation for 6:30pm. When we arrived we were seated promptly and the servers were so nice and accommodating. For a Saturday night they weren't very busy. We likely would have been seated right away even if we didn't have reservations. The atmosphere was so nice. Perfect for a date night but also fine for friends and family. The lighting was low and the music selection was on point. I was grooving the whole time I was there. We ordered drinks and they came promptly. Our food followed shortly after. I ordered the Italian chicken Marsala and my husband ordered the wrangler chicken. Both were excellent. Chicken was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. There was no need to add anything like salt, pepper or sauces. It was perfect. We didn't save room for dessert but we will definitely return to try more menu items. There are so many choices on their rather eclectic menu. I'm sure anyone will be able to find something they like. I c an't wait to try more. Wonderful experience! Keep up the good work At Elm St Grill. I'll be back.

It did not need any flashiness or grandeur- just some good food and good vibes. Now the food: WOW I was blown away by the pork belly garlic fried rice. The pork belly was so incredibly fatty and perfectly crispy, the shrimp add-on was juicy and well seasoned, and the fried egg over a bed of DELICIOUS steamy garlicky fried rice was absolutely perfection. And they do NOT skimp on the portions. This heaping bowl was just $15, and it was generously topped with the pork belly. One of the biggest positives here is consistency of flavor, something that's been surprisingly hard to find with a lot of Chinese takeout spots we've tried in the area.
