The food at Chris' is awesome. Today was my first visit. I intended to stop in for a light lunch but the menu has so many great options. I chose the falafel pita, and elected to make it a platter. Even with huge portions, the price was still a bargain. The Greek side salad was crisp and tasty. They brought out a bottle of house-made dressing. There were so many chunks of Falafel in the pita, and the mound of rice with it was huge (you can have fries instead). I enjoyed a beer with it and the frosty mug that came out with it actually had little icicles on the rim. My server was Billy, who was very friendly and attentive. I will have to get back there soon & take my husband next time.

I would eat here everyday if I could. The staff is extremely friendly, and the food is AMAZING. Great variety to menu. The famous gyro is HUGE and DELICIOUS! Grape leaves are the most authentic I've ever had. A beautiful woman on their staff gifted me a mini Jesus after seeing my cross necklace. God bless all of you at Chris'

So, they haven't been re-opened for too long. They were packed tonight so the service was slow, waited for 10 minutes for a menu in a "seat yourself" joint. Tried to order a combo plate and was told they "were too busy". That might need to change or put a disclaimer on the menu. For the goods, the food is just as good as it used to be at the old location and the prices are still reasonable. The decor is white walls with Greek art and some interesting decor option that they brought over from the d location.

    Pasticio

I had not gone to Chris Charcoal Pit since before it was destroyed by the tornado. Decide to try the New location. Ordered Pasticio which comes with a salad and pita bread. It was very dry, no flavor, very little meat and sauce. It was covered in oregano. Lots béchamel sauce. Not impressed. The previous Pasticio that was served when they were on West Street tasted like Pasticio this does not. I don't know what happened to the recipe. Also, you do not serve Pasticio with pita bread unless this is the new modern style.

The food was over cooked and overpriced for what we received and the staff was less than helpful.

Unfortunately the food is kind of an important aspect of the whole "dining experience" and Paul's gastronomic offering simply did not impress. I ordered the soft shell crab sandwich which was deep fried and unimpressive. It tasted more like cornbread and oil than crab. M-in-law ordered the wilted spinach salad which was also just "ok". My 10y/o ordered the chicken parm which was likely some of the worst pasta I've ever consumed at a nicer restaurant. He complained that the sauce tasted like chemicals and he's usually not picky and will eat anything. I assumed he was exaggerating, tried the sauce and noted that it was flavored overwhelmingly with a bitter spice that I couldn't put my finger on. Aside from the poor food the service was decent and the prices were reasonable for the area. Would not try again on our next visit to Annapolis.

We had an earlier dinner reservation so it wasn't as crowded at the beginning but was quite busy at the end. We tried a couple different cocktails and I loved both of mine - Ashta Affair and Asfar So Good. The Ashta Affair was sweet and creamy and the Asfar So Good was deliciously refreshing. My friend really enjoyed his Old Fashioned Date and had a fun experience trying the El Massaya Arak. For appetizers, we ordered Muhamara and Mousakhan Chicken Rolls. The Muhamara came with pita and was such a great dip. The chicken rolls were equally as good with their own sumac labneh dip we enjoyed. For entrees, we shared the Braised Lamb Shank and Makloubeh. The portions were large and the meat was tender. Neither were over seasoned and were absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish it all and saved the rest for leftovers - yum! We wanted to try their dessert and ending up getting the Ashta Bil Asal and Ruz Bil Karaz. The Ashta Bil Asal had cotton candy which made it a fun dessert to try and the Ruz Bil Karaz had a great caramelization coating. Neither were overly sweet which we preferred. It was such a great ending to our meal. I absolutely loved my experience here. Our server, Miriam, was friendly and attentive. We even chatted with the GM, Iman, who also made sure we were provided a great first experience. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone who's looking for a boujee but amazing time!

We started with Arabic coffee and the Harra Wala cocktail--both were really good. The coffee was strong and flavorful, and the cocktail was unique and refreshing. For food, we ordered batata harra, beetroot hadiqa, lentil soup, saffron pita pie, and saffron rice. Everything was solid, but the saffron pita pie and batata harra were probably my favorites. The lentil soup was super comforting too. For dessert, we got the raspberry sorbet and baklava--perfect way to end the meal. The sorbet was light and refreshing, and the baklava was sweet and flaky. Service was great. Our server made sure we enjoyed our meal and was available to explain the menu options and checking on time to time if we need anything. Overall, a great experience. I'd definitely go back!

First, the portion size was huge. I could not finish it in one sitting. Second, it came with a huge salad, which I was not expecting. The salad was delicious, the Philly was delicious. Their kabab plates were a hit. They also offered a good selection of drinks. Minor thing, and it is from personal experience only: their menus are printed on black paper and in a plastic sleeve. Reminds me of the bad touristy places in Europe. It did not represent how good the food was, because usually we run away from this Massive Plastic menus... so I Joel one day they will update them to something nicer for a better first feel.

If I came back, I'd maybe get something like what he got. My friend (& me to a lesser extent) were cogitating on getting a dessert.
