Turkey Poboy
Kim E.

This has always been our first stop whenever we fly in from the Pacific NW, but I must admit we were very disappointed during both of our visits on this trip. They seemed to have changed the type of bread on their Poboy sandwiches which greatly affected the pleasure of eating them. The quality of their meat was still very good, but their gumbo was thinner and not as well seasoned. We have never had to add salt before. The ambiance was pleasant. The tables and carpet were clean, and there were plenty of staff hanging around waiting for something to do. The cashier could have been much friendlier and accommodating. Although I ordered a whole Poboy, when I asked if they could wrap each half separately she quickly refused, and only offered to cut the sandwich in half. This has never been a problem before. I guess now they couldn't spring for a 2nd sheet of wrapping paper?! We've been coming here for over 17 years, but sadly this might be the last time.

The service here is awesome. Everyone is sooooo welcoming and friendly. The ambiance is that of your typical cafe style restaurant. The food here is the star of the show. Whenever I visit for a few days I stop by here each day for lunch. They never miss, they always Hit!!! The chicken and sausage gumbo taste homemade.. best chicken and sausage gumbo I've ever bought from a restaurant. The Chris special is packed with flavor from the stewed roast beef and the saltiness of the ham.. the breading is not too thick and browned to perfection. 10/10..

Chicken salad

This was my first time trying them. The salad was alright, I also had the whole roast beef poboy, also just ok.

sign that reads seriously don't do

Chris' is always a safe bet! This is the place you come for that standard, Louisiana poboy. There's nothing fancy, but sometimes that is just what you need. All Poboys served with chips, unless you want more. I will gladly suggest a cup of gumbo before the sandwich, but to each their own. Also, make sure you don't sit in these areas UNLESS you have 5+ in your group. They're serious!

Muffuletta

We stopped at Chris' Poboys for lunch and boy are we glad we did. The service here was top notch and the food was great! A full muffuletta we split in half and it was so big we still had leftovers. Really enjoyed this spot for a quick lunch with local flavors. I might have missed this if it wasn't so close to where we stayed. Great find and if ever back in the area, we'd come back here!

Got a muffalatta to go. Added some fries. Good stuff.

Extremely great muffalatta. Friendly and wonderful service. They quarter them but I asked them to cut them in eighths. Did it perfectly.

Chris's whole Roast Beef Poboy with a few shreds of micro thin lettuce and a pathetic small amount of meat. Never again!

The muffuletta is wonderful! Taste great both hot and cold. The Italian olive mix is just right. I come from Texas to eat this.

Exactly as the previous reviewer stated. No flavor, the shrimp were cold and had too much breading, the bread was mediocre. Not impressed.

Had the gumbo, shrimp and oyster poboy. Took a bit longer than I liked but worth the wait. Would definitely come here again.

It was the best muffuletta I have ever eaten. Still compare every one to this. Not many come up to the challenge

Chris' special is the best Poboy I'll probably ever eat. 100% recommend, I've been going here since I was a kid and hope to continue.

If there was a zero, I'd give it a zero. This was the dirtiest, nastiest Schlotzsky's I've ever…read morebeen in. The employees could not even figure out how to take our order on the cash register. They were on the phone with someone trying to tell them how to do it and they still couldn't do it. We finally just left after 15 minutes. Most of the drinks were out and I can't even tell you how nasty the ice tea holders were, they looked like they had not been cleaned in a long time ! Don't go there!!!!!

She said we are out of those too. Wouldn't it be better to either say when we come in what you're out of or better yet have a sign that says we are out of pizza and calzones?! She copped a major attitude when he asked what do you have? She replied rolling her eyes we have sandwiches, soups and salads. We ordered our food and then we paid with a gift card which she couldn't get to work right and called the manager over while repeating that's she was done. We sat down and the food came out rather quickly, however my husbands bread was hard as a rock and had hardly any meat on it at all. For the prices there should be more meat than a thin slice! My sandwich was fine. I love Schlotzsky's and Florida no longer has them so we always seek them out when we leave the state however we will not be back to this particular location.
