I love their sandwiches but it was quite off putting hearing one of the employees complain about my order being aggravating, just because I requested that pickles & bananas peppers be put on the side. I live 30 minutes from the location and our sandwiches get soggy if we put a bunch of wet ingredients on them before we get home. The girl literally talked smack the entire time she made my sandwich, as if I wasn't sitting right in front of her. " Do they want the meat on the side too?!" No, ma'am, I would like you to make the sandwich how I requested it, especially since getting stuff on the side is an option on YOUR app. Also, if you're going to be rude the entire time a customer is sitting within earshot, at least make the sandwich correctly. I'm sure it is due to the fact that firehouse was created by a fireman. I noticed immediately that I wouldn't be able to see them make my sandwich so that was different than what I'm used to. This is one of those places that has really good food but things like customer service leave a lot to be desired. Some call it expensive but I don't think the prices are too bad for what you get - the ingredients are definitely of a better quality and more plentiful than Subway for example. While customer service is nice, it's not the fastest or most competent. An employee took my entire order wrong but the manager made sure it was corrected and my additional bacon was on the house. They did forget the pickle spear and I made a big deal about having a pickle so that sucked. Anyway, each visit I got smoked brisket with cheddar + bacon. It's so SO good and a very filling meal. I got to taste the veggie sandwich as well which was really good too because they cook down the veggies a lot and it's cheesy. It's worth trying but be warned that this location is slow. read more

This place was my go to place for a couple of years until changed jobs and relocated. Just came back to the area and popped in for what used to be my favorite.. steak and cheese. But I was surprisingly disappointed, the steak sandwich seemed excessively salty and mushy, and the bread barely toasted. The folks behind the counter used to be very energetic and looked happy to be there, but not this time. These geniuses put my two favorite types of meat and provolone, the only cheese I like (except for cheesecake) on a sub. It's like they knew I was coming in. Meanwhile you have 3-4 employees just standing around when they could be cleaning. Also all I ordered was a club sandwich with chips and it took about 10-15 minutes with only 4 customers in the store. Seems a little slow. I like this place because the sandwiches are fully cooked, hot, and packed with meat and flavor. The sides are chips and they have the Coke remix machine here as well. This place gets pretty packed during work hour lunchtime, so try to avoid coming here during those times. The average price is around $10.00, but it's worth it. The one star missing is for the missing parking for our honorable Firetruck full of hungry firemen that I saw visiting this restaurant while I myself came in for lunch. They wound up parking by the dumpsters like some unneeded outcasts. Everything was going well until the trainer picked up the ice bucket and laid that dirty ass container on top of the ice and was trying to flatten it. Placed an order around 8PM(Order # 52194) for Two subs for a co-worker and I and she went to pick them up. I requested a pepperoni and meatball sub. I received an overly sweet and semi spicy meatball sub. No big deal mistakes happen. I called up and the most inept person at customer service answers the phone. Within 5 seconds of explaining my situation he said "Here's my manager". Explaining my situation for a second she seemed to care very little about my complaint. Advised I speak to the owner tomorrow. I guess since I started this I'll drive up there tomorrow and see it through. Maybe the food is usually good. Maybe the service is usually good. But today, it was not. read more

Wonderful meal but not what we ordered. Saturday afternoon; not busy. Ordered 2 subs to go. The cashier seemed confused by my request that both be fully dressed. A couple who ordered after me got their 2 subs and I was still waiting for mine. After a worker asked another worker about my sandwiches, I learned that they my order was forgotten. So, I finally get get my subs, make it to my destination, open the bag, and discover no napkins in the bag. Gee whiz! How does one eat a sub without napkins? Well, we managed to pull it off but it wasn't easy. Meanwhile, the big disappointment was that we had the wrong sandwiches. I had already lost 30 minutes to getting the subs and didn't feel like spending another 30 minutes making it right. Besides, while I was there, I heard the manager on the phone apologizing to a customer whose order was wrong, so that helped to further discourage me from making a return trip. We placed an online order for pickup at 11.10am. I arrived at 11.25. I did not get my first sandwich until 11.45. I didn't get the second one until 11.55. I didn't get the third one until 12.05. And the third one was waiting at the register when the other two were given to me by the expediter and the cashier was holding it until she got the other 2. They were overwhelmed, understaffed, and all around clueless. Great food BUT.. They have some of the rudest people working at this establishment. Every time I walk into Firehouse, i am not greeted and have to stand at the register for at least 2 minutes before even being looked at. Then someone always walks up to the register and either stares at me waiting for me to say my order or they mumble it under their breathe like it's such an issue.
