I had the 1/2 Breakfast with one egg, one sausage, hash browns, and two pancakes, and coffee. Chris' at the Docket is a nice departure from the original location. Of course, it's more modern, and up to date. I loved the less cramped space, window seating looking out onto Tucker, and the nicer service wear, napkins, etc. Plus, we walked in at 12:30 p.m. on a Sunday, and were immediately sat. That would never happen at the original location. I expect this will change in the future. I had my usual Chris' Country Omelette, with pancakes. Both items tasted exactly like they do at the original location, which is to say, really good. My honey very much enjoyed her corned beef hash and eggs, as well. The coffee was excellent, too. They have a brick pizza oven held-over from the last iteration of the space, and are now offering breakfast pizzas. I plan on trying one during my next visit. Lastly, the staff was professional, and attentive. I live half-way between both Chris' locations, and it's really nice that the Saracino family has taken a chance on Downtown. I hope that the residents of Downtown and nearby neighborhoods reward the risk they've taken. It's worth every bite. read more

Friendly staff, quick service, fun atmosphere, and solid food. We can here for breakfast while visiting town for a cardinals game. It was one of the only places open for breakfast on Saturday mornings. Stopped in at 9 am and were seated right away. Our drink and food arrived promptly. Definitely recommend. read more

There were some interesting things on the menu, but we stuck to the basics -- bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and French toast with eggs and bacon. It was all SO GOOD! Went to The Docket for a rainy Saturday morning brunch. It is located on the first floor corner of the SLU law building but inside it's a modern diner. The breakfast menu is extensive and includes breakfast cocktails. We settled on the breakfast fried rice and chocolate chip pancakes and left with very full bellies. The service was great. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and the waitress was attentive without feeling intrusive. For a no frills, cheap breakfast that will leave you satisfied I would recommend stopping by The Docket. read more

Nice place and great servers. The place has potential but the food is lacking in the flavor department. I had a chicken UFO and it def needed some salt and pepper. Although it had jalapenos, spice level was really low. My boyfriend had some wings and they were literally fried as is. Absolutely no flavor. This place is what you want for breakfast. Nice menu items; best thing we ordered were Mediterranean omlet, and yogurt & granola parfait. Super popular with locals and busy expect a long wait in peak breakfast hours. Tip: outdoor tabels can make your long wait disappear; ask to be seated outside and waitress will set you up take your order and just as good as being inside if the weather is good. Chris the owner is clearly a top notch manager and was on site and hands-on when were there. Even though it was packed with a hour+ wait we never knew it from the service. read more

We decided to try Chris' at the Docket for lunch yesterday at work. My co-worker wanted the match meat burger which she did order and she said it was good. I got the chicken club wrap with crispy chicken, which was not so good. We used Grubhub got delivery and the wrap had basically fallen apart by the time it got to us. Maybe the restaurant can try to use paper around the to go wraps? Or a toothpick? The sides also we not very good (we ordered slaw and fries) Based on the reviews, I want to give this place another try and order breakfast food (and hopefully update my review). I would not order from the lunch menu again though. read more

Racist manager! Went in to place a to-go order, the manager gave us a menu and sat us at the bar. A group of white, college-aged kids came in and sat at the bar after us and that same manager proceeded to wait on all of them before he even tried to take our order. When we told one of the waiters/bartenders that we were there first, he just said that he has to do what his manager tells him. The manager knew we were there first as he was the one who sat us there!! Less than one star for racism alone. read more

The food here for any other meal than breakfast (which I have not tried) is terrible. The pizza is flabby and doughy (not in a good way).
