The hallway we used to exit the restaurant

Staying at the Union Station Hotel, my husband and I went here for lunch ( they ate only open for breakfast and lunch). Our server, Taylor was friendly and attentive. We ordered two appetizers and a sandwich to share. The flash fried Brussel sprouts were absolutely amazing: light, crisp with roasted almond slivers. The tomato burrata was also outstanding: fresh and delicious burrata served with heirloom tomatoes, arugula, and an incredible pesto vinaigrette. My only complaint with this entire meal was that the tomatoes were cold; they should have been at room temperature. Our classic turkey club was huge: stuffed with turkey, etc. and our pick of fries which were perfectly cooked-crisp but not burnt. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy a cocktail as we had to check out and drive soon after, but the overall ambiance was one of relaxed elegance bring in the gorgeous Union Station Hotel. Cannot wait to return.

My first meal during my visit to Missouri. The best omelet and hash browns. My server Gloria was the sweetest. Thank you. Will recommend.

A bit overpriced, but understandable with the location at the Union Station. It's right off the lobby, the structure is magnificent. The staff was very accommodating with my six year old. I was a little bummed that they didn't offer a kids menu. But they do have a pastry plate that was great for my kid. They serve Starbucks coffee. The bacon, eggs, potatoes were delicious. I would have loved a fresh tomato or something with the egg sandwich, but I appreciated the combo price with coffee. The ambiance was a bit fancy and I had to ask for a capped lid drink for my kid, but she said the place was the best ever. We enjoyed our meal.

One of the most disappointing restaurant visits I've had in a VERY long time! The service was HORRIBLE. We had to either send someone to find our waiter, or go find him ourselves almost every time. The food took forever to come out and it was the most outrageously priced food I've ever had. The entrees have NO sides with them. NONE! The Salmon (and that's ALL I got on the plate was salmon) was $28. My friend ordered the Scallop "entree" and got THREE scallops. For $34!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I won't be back and I would advise others not to go either.

Walked in and felt like we were in for a treat. The room is classy and not at all what we expected as far as a "grille". However, the service did not match the surroundings. We had to seek out our servers. We were never sure who was our server as three different people came to our table, but in no timely manner. Ordered edamame as an appetizer and had to wait for it to be harvested, I guess. The food was good but pricey for what was presented. One of our group ordered an entree of scallops and received three scallops centered on a dinner plate for $34. No sides. Salmon was another choice but again, pricey and uninteresting in its very plain' just so' presentation. One server listened to our concerns and did what she could to right the poor service and our disappointment. Thank you to her but too little too late. Cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be back.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR DINNER. Seriously, save yourself the frustration and money. We read the reviews, we saw they were bad. We went anyway because it was convenient. I couldn't find a recent menu online anywhere. So dinner was going to be a surprise. Surprise... the old fall menu I saw online was the current menu. We sat down and ordered the toasted ravioli and thank goodness we were able to taste that before the waitress took our order. (Yeah it was slow too and we were literally only the second table sat at 6PM on a Thursday) The toasted ravioli tasted like it had been made...sometime in the past three days and then made again for us. It was hard as a rock on the edges. The marinara wasn't good either so rather than dropping $150 on dinner that probably would have been this way, we got the check and headed for The Pitch. Breakfast buffet? Absolutely if you are looking for sufficient hotel breakfast. Fresh fruit, muffins, danish, cereal, meats, french toast and an omelet var made right in front of you. I would go for breakfast again and really, $22 per person wasn't too bad. Forgot to mention, it's a super nice atmosphere. Clean, elegant settings, white table clothes, etc.

Very beautiful location. If you seen the movie The Harvey Girls you can picture them serving food here. We had the dining room to ourselves after 6pm on Saturday night. I think our server may have been kinda new. I asked for an item to be left off my meal. She said ok and came back 10 min later telling me the chef said the item I wanted left off was already mixed in. So I switched my order. After bring out my meal and I was almost done we had to ask about my husbands meal ( salad with chicken ). It must have been sitting back in the kitchen she was back in about 2 min. My meal was excellent. Dover Sole with a mix of carrots, artichokes, potato, and tiny shrimp under the sole. Husbands Caesar Salad was dry and had to ask for more dressing. Service was a bit slow from our server but the hostess was awesome and kind.

What an amazing restaurant and breakfast! This was such a nice and fancy restaurant, but they don't have any crazy restrictions. The detail to everything the staff does is fantastic. The food is good and the coffee is hot!

The only real warmth we encountered came from the female host; the rest of the staff delivered service that hovered somewhere between disinterested and "we're doing you a favor by being here." We kicked things off with the fried deviled eggs, which arrived neither fried nor particularly deviled -- just cold little reminders that hope is fleeting. Cocktails landed squarely in "General Public" territory. My Squatty Potty showed up lukewarm, like it had been loitering at the bar contemplating its life choices instead of making it to the table piping hot. A chicken Caesar salad was perfectly fine... if you enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the chicken. The breakfast burger came on an English muffin with what might be the most emotionally unavailable portion of hash brown casserole I've ever seen -- tiny, distant, and gone too soon. Then there's the Scream Burger. Marketed as ghost-pepper spicy, priced like it's the main event, and delivered with all the heat of a polite Midwestern handshake. Dry, bland, and somehow bold enough to charge me an extra dollar for more mayo -- because nothing says "premium burger experience" like a condiment upcharge to make it edible. My husband's Pork Pountine? Imagine fries sprinkled with a few bacon bits like confetti at a party nobody wanted to attend. We came in excited because Eat Crow in Soulard sets the bar high. Unfortunately, Crows Nest feels like it's cooking for someone driving in from Chesterfield who asked the kitchen to "tone it down." If you're craving the real deal, do yourself a favor: go to Soulard. This nest still needs a lot more feathers. And to the influencers calling this place "amazing" -- do better. Honest, authentic reviews help restaurants grow and help diners know what they're walking into. Stop selling hype and start telling the truth.

A reasonably-sized (not-overwhelming) menu, great coffee, delicious cocktails, quick, attentive service, and undeniably delicous food. Phenomenal flavors and textures. Toast is typically an afterthought for me, but the buttery crunch of the sourdough has to be spotlighted. The Bee's Knees cocktail was also a wonderfully refreshing prelude to the approaching STL summer. The time has come, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say: wake up, reserve, enjoy.

I was very excited to try them but left knowing I would not return. I waited 40 minutes on a weekday morning for a bar seat for one, standing because all the waiting area seats were taken. The hostess/waitress was very nice when she got to me, but you could tell that the amount of customers was simply too much to handle. Now, this was okay - I should have made a reservation, and it's not the staff's fault they were overwhelmed. However, the service once I sat down was patchy, delayed and distracted. I had to remind different servers of my presence, multiple times. I was willing to overlook this if the food had been fantastic, but unfortunately, their most popular item, the combo breakfast sandwich, was so incredibly heavy. The first bite was crispy, oily and fatty deliciousness, but by the third bite it was simply too rich. The sweet overtone of the honey was lovely but did not cut through the grease. By the time I finished half, I understood why several diners had left the other half uneaten. My personal preference is for a fresh, umami yet balanced sandwich that does not make me feel queasy after finishing it. This was not the sandwich for me. There was a long delay after I finished eating for them to bring me the check. My whole meal took around 2.5 hours. I had arrived starving and, I like to think, with an open mind. These are my honest, unfiltered observations. It is wonderful that so many people want to try their food and that their new space is bigger. Their decor, glassware and menu were cute and tasteful. I also love that they grew from a farmers market food stall and that they source their ingredients locally. With their level of popularity, I think they should focus on preserving the quality of their service and food.
