I called them out specifically to fix a hot tub leak that occurs only when attempting to fill the tub.The technician, John, failed to diagnose the issue properly. He did not fill the tub to locate the source of the leak, and he removed the front and rear panels while completely ignoring the panel on the side where the leak actually occurs. Furthermore, he replaced a valve and O-rings for $18.99 without explaining the repair or seeking my approval first. He then reassembled everything and left without testing if the issue was resolved.To make matters worse, my total bill was $269.37, which included a $149 trip fee that was never disclosed to me upfront before the appointment. After he left, I attempted to fill the hot tub, and it is still leaking in the exact same manner. I paid a premium price for a random, unauthorized repair that did not fix my actual problem. I was a client of Bishop Pool Service for about five years. I inherited them from the previous…read moreowner, so they're well aware of my pool being a saltwater pool. That said, it was always a challenge to get them to use salt instead of chlorine when they would adjust chemicals and clean my pool. No matter how many times I asked, they would forget and continue to use chlorine, which unfortunately was too harsh on my toddler's skin. I made multiple calls about this and reminded the technicians multiple times about this, but I would still get a new technician every six to nine months, and I had to start all over again. The two straws that broke the camel's back were: 1. A 30% increase in monthly pricing 2. A new technician explaining that the reason they can't add salt is because it slows down his route I switched over to Ralphie's Pool Service and am already much, much happier. Ralphie's pricing is significantly less expensive, they bring their own pool salt, and they don't even charge you for the salt. Bishop also charges $300 to clean pool filters compared to $100 with Ralphies. Joel (my technician for the past year at Bishop) was awesome btw.
