After doing some research, I decided to give Lum's GMC a try for my engine recall, and I am so glad I did. From the very beginning, my service advisor, Shaun, was absolutely outstanding. His communication was excellent, he kept me informed throughout the entire process, and I genuinely felt like my vehicle was in good hands. Customer service like his is hard to find, and he made a stressful situation much easier. I do want to mention that after the new engine was installed, my Escalade ended up stranded on the side of the road because a technician had accidentally forgotten to reconnect a clamp on a reservoir. While that was certainly frustrating, what truly impressed me was how Lum's handled the situation. I called and left a message, and their team immediately stepped up. They arranged to have my vehicle towed back to the shop on a Saturday, quickly diagnosed and corrected the issue, and then went above and beyond by personally delivering my vehicle back to me because of the inconvenience. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but a company's true character is shown by how they respond when something goes wrong. Lum's GMC handled it with professionalism, accountability, and genuine care. Because of Shaun and the way the entire team took ownership of the situation, I have complete confidence in bringing my Cadillac back for future service. I came to Newberg CDJR (across the street) specifically because of an AutoTrader listing for a 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 Limited AWD with approximately 10,000 miles, VIN ending in 2095. When I arrived, the salesperson (Mike Jeffers) asked me if I knew the VIN of the vehicle I was there to see. I thought that was an odd question at the time... especially because I was subsequently told that they only had one IONIQ 5. We went across the street to Newberg Chevrolet to check out the vehicle. We test drove the only IONIQ 5 they had, and then spent time negotiating a purchase. I was ultimately given an offer with a selling price and trade-in value to consider After leaving the dealership, I discovered that the vehicle I had actually test driven and negotiated for was not the vehicle I thought I was buying The advertised vehicle was: VIN ending 2095 2024 IONIQ 5 Limited ----AWD---- Approximately ---10,500-- miles The vehicle I was actually shown and given pricing for was: VIN ending 0428 2024 IONIQ 5 Limited ---RWD--- Approximately ---25,800-- miles They only had one Ioniq 5 in either lot. So the vehicle I was shown had more than twice the mileage and was RWD instead of the advertised AWD vehicle. The advertised car and the test drive car were not the same.... And they only had ONE Ioniq 5 on the lot. ...At no point during the test drive or negotiations was it made clear to me that I was being shown a different vehicle from the one they had advertised. Had I bought it I would have thought I was buying an AWD and actually getting a RWD. What makes the experience even MORE concerning to me is that as I was considering my options I went back to the website to check the Carfax only to find the listing for the 10,000-mile AWD vehicle, as well as the dealership's own online listing for it had disappeared... in effect removing the VIN discrepancy footprint from the web Whether this was intentional or the result of extraordinarily poor inventory management, I can't know. ...But as a customer, the result was the same: I came in to look at an advertised 10,000-mile AWD vehicle and was instead test-driving and negotiating the purchase of a 25,000-mile RWD vehicle without being told they were different cars, which is the definition of BAIT AMD SWITCH. That experience destroyed my confidence in the dealership, and I walked away - which is too bad because I was previously very comfortable doing business with them, having purchased vehicles from them in the past. While I don't blame Mike explicitly he is certainly complicit with his sales manage Russell in all of this. I will not be back and would advise you to go elsewhere. This place is suspect. Negotiate with caution.

When it started overheating immediately, we reached out and got no support -- just "take it to a mechanic." Multiple local shops wouldn't even touch it, saying it never should've been sold. The inspection we paid for revealed leaks, damage, and serious safety issues that should've been caught -- and weren't. This dealership knowingly put our family, including our autistic child, in an unsafe car and has ghosted us since. Zero accountability. Zero effort to make it right. Chuck Colvin got us this rental car less than 24 hours from the previous renter. At first we were thrilled, but now we are receiving a bill from them claiming all this damage that we did not do. We only used this car to drive to work and back, as we are used to electric cars and hate paying for gas. We've never had to use a rental car before, and of course are realizing now we should have taken pictures. Now this company is trying to make us pay for damages that the previous renter must have acrued while they try to cover up that they didn't do a proper inspection. They tried to send us a rental agreement with just "none" written under damages out (when we picked up the car) and then attached pictures of the damage we did. No photos of what the car looked like before we picked it up, because there wasn't proper insection/protocals/pictures taken. We should not pay for their mistakes. I signed the paperwork, made my down payment, and took possession of the vehicle. More than 30 days later, I unexpectedly received a phone call from the dealership telling me that the financing had never been finalized and that I needed to return the vehicle. After that phone call, I requested that all further communication be handled by email. Before that call, I had not received any written notice stating that the transaction had been cancelled or that the financing had failed. In particular, I did not receive any formal written cancellation notice within the time period that, as I understand it, applies to conditional financing transactions under Oregon law. Shortly before the dealership contacted me, I also discovered several new hard inquiries on my credit report. The dealership later confirmed that they had attempted to obtain financing for me through additional lenders. I was not notified in advance that these new credit applications would be submitted. The situation then became extremely unpleasant. I was repeatedly pressured to return the vehicle on very short notice. In one email, I was effectively given a deadline to return the vehicle by 8:00 PM that same day and was told that otherwise the dealership would "escalate the matter and take further action." After driving the vehicle for more than a month believing that the transaction had been completed, this approach was extremely stressful and intimidating. Ultimately, I returned the BMW at Wilsonville Subaru's request. My complaint is not that financing can sometimes fall through. My complaint is how this entire situation was handled: I was given possession of the vehicle, allowed to drive it for more than a month, then informed of the financing problem without any prior written cancellation notice, additional financing attempts were made, and I was then pressured to return the vehicle almost immediately. What made the experience even more disappointing is that throughout this entire situation, no one from the dealership offered a single apology for the inconvenience, stress, or confusion this caused. Based on my experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from Wilsonville Subaru.
