Buying our 2023 Subaru Forester was relatively easy compared to other dealerships I have previously bought from. Their service department, however, OVERCHARGES for their work. I needed a new taillight assembly. I was originally quoted about $325 for the part. (I could have bought the part online for $130.) When I said I wanted to have it installed, the price jumped to over $400. I thought the higher price included labor. NO, the higher price DID NOT INCLUDE LABOR. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told the total price would be $650. There was no explanation for the higher price for the taillight. Apparently, there is a fee just for asking for an appointment. Plus, they charged me for 90 minutes of labor for a repair that multiple YouTube videos said should have taken less than 30 minutes for a professional to complete. So, I paid about FOUR TIMES the price for a repair I probably could have done myself. I will certainly think twice before having any more non-warranty work done here, and I suggest you do as well. read more

We drove from Olympia, WA to Wilsonville Subaru specifically to purchase a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE that was advertised for $18,981. Before making a 2.5 hour trip each way in heavy rain, we called the dealership twice to confirm the vehicle was still available. Both times we were told it was. I want to start by saying that the front desk staff were genuinely kind and helpful. Taliyah and Rose were both very pleasant on the phone and confirmed details about the vehicle before we made the trip. That part of the experience was excellent and we appreciated their help. When we arrived, the vehicle itself was in very good condition and we were initially pleased. It was stored indoors and looked well kept. We inspected it thoroughly, test drove it, and decided we were ready to buy it. We also made it clear from the beginning that we would be paying cash and that we needed to complete the transaction fairly quickly due to a serious family medical situation. That is when the experience completely fell apart. Our assigned salesperson was Michelle. Despite the vehicle being advertised for $18,981 and the dealership describing itself as a no-haggle/"one price" store, the price sheet we were shown suddenly jumped to over $33,000. The difference was loaded with financing terms, service contracts, and multiple add-on products that we had already clearly stated we did not want. When we asked to remove all add-ons and simply purchase the vehicle as advertised, Michelle told us she had to go through her "method." We reiterated several times that we were paying cash and were declining all add-ons. We even offered to sign waivers declining the extra products so the dealership would not have any liability concerns. Instead of respecting that request, the process became slow, condescending, and increasingly frustrating. Michelle argued over basic things like oil change intervals, incorrectly told us personalized license plates could not be transferred, and continued pushing through her scripted process even though we had already agreed to purchase the vehicle. We eventually asked to speak with the manager and explained that we needed the process expedited. The manager told us they could not move forward without continuing their add-on presentation because they didn't want to be "liable" later if we declined protections. At that point we stood up and left. This was incredibly disappointing. The vehicle itself was nice and we were fully prepared to purchase it immediately. Instead, what should have been a straightforward cash purchase turned into a drawn-out attempt to inflate the price with unwanted products. Driving five hours round trip only to be met with a $14,000 price jump and a refusal to proceed without sitting through add-on sales is not acceptable. If you plan to shop here, be very cautious and make sure you get a clear out-the-door price before making the trip. read more

Visited in 2020 and 2026. Horrible service and sales experience. In 2020, I came in for the Takata airbag recall. Asked them to not perform any other services or run any checks. They ran a multi point inspection, and tried to sell me services. Was assured wifi internet would be available while I waited, it was not. After getting the car back, my stereo was not fully re-connected, and my footwell illumination stopped working. In June 2026, I came in to test drive a new car and buy it. When I got there, I waited 20 minutes for them to find the keys, and when they eventually came back they said they needed another 30 minutes to do whatever before we could go for a test drive. I drove an hour to get here, had an appointment to see the car, and confirmed the time I would be there twice. I didn't think buying a new car would be difficult or frustrating, but it is at Wilsonville Subaru. I'll never go back. read more

In August 2024, I purchased a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek from Wilsonville Subaru. The dealership failed to disclose that the vehicle had an aftermarket lift kit installed--a critical omission, as lift kits are known to cause mechanical failures in these models. By March 2025, the car developed severe issues. Wilsonville Subaru's own technicians confirmed that the lift kit damaged the axles and needed removal. During my first call back to Wilsonville Subaru, I spoke with the sales manager, who told me she would investigate a manufacturer's warranty to see if anything could be covered. However, after that initial conversation, she never got back to me, and the dealership ignored me for weeks. I had to physically go to the dealership to confront a manager, but she dismissed my concerns and instead pushed me to trade in for a more expensive vehicle. She claimed the dealership wasn't responsible for the condition of my car--even though two of their own technicians confirmed that the lift kit caused the damage. By April 2025, I took my car to a third-party mechanic for inspection and repairs. They discovered that Wilsonville Subaru failed to re-secure the engine and frame after their inspection, leaving critical components unbolted. This reckless oversight could have led to catastrophic failure, including engine detachment or a serious accident. Worse, the lift kit didn't just damage the axles--it destroyed the rear differential, with gear teeth sheared off and fluid contaminated with metal shavings. The uneven tire wear (exposing the wear bars on the inner edges) further proved long-term, undisclosed damage. Shockingly, Wilsonville Subaru's diagnostics missed all these critical safety hazards--yet they released the car to me in a dangerous condition. I unknowingly drove it on the interstate to the next mechanic. This dealership's actions demonstrate: Fraudulent omission (failing to disclose the lift kit and its risks at sale). Gross negligence (returning the car in an unsafe state). Bad-faith business practices (ignoring complaints, refusing accountability). So ignore the "No Bull" slogan--it's just a gimmick to hide the same old dealership tricks and pressure tactics. Do yourself a favor and hire a trusted auto broker to handle negotiations instead. When I was suggested to talk to the manager I was greeted with "well if you were a bit more educated" I don't believe a response like this is necessary and incredibly degrading. We brought our 2016 Legacy in to have the transmission, which seemed to be slipping, looked at. Our service rep, Quin, was friendly, kind, and professional. He found that the necessary work was fully covered under a specific extended warranty -- hooray! The technicians went over the car and found other needed work, some we knew and some we didn't. But because the transmission was being done under warranty we were able to get the rest of the work done too. The dealership also gave us a loaner car (current model Crosstrek!) which was super helpful. I'd say this has been a top one or two experiences with a dealership ever. I am very disappointed with my overall experience with at Wilsonville Subaru. I bought a used car from there in February. Within 3 days a tire went flat (despite only driving locally) and the next week I had to replace the windshield wipers. The car only had 1 key at the time of purchase. I've never purchased a car on my own before and should have pushed for them to make a copy and cover that expense. I wasn't aware of the cost - my fault. While these are small issues, they're cheap little things that add up to make me feel I was taken advantage of (as a woman) and that they aren't about offering quality service/products. Two weeks later, I purchased a 2nd used car from another local dealer and had a much more positive experience, with outstanding service, so had something to compare my Subaru experience with and realize it should have been better. read more

They were supposed to look at the battery, as there is a recall for battery being drained. They didn't do a damn thing. This place is so spacious, with several seating areas along 3 walls, as well as a living room area with gas fireplace. Don't feel like sitting? I am writing a new review of Wilsonville Subaru after closer inspection of my car. In April of 2022, i purchased a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek from Wilsonville Subaru. Six months later, this same car was stolen from my driveway. 2 weeks later my car was recovered after it had been lived in by homeless people. Eight months later, Progressive insurance finally was able to get an insurance adjuster out to Wilsonville Subaru to look at my car and make an assessment. It was determined there was roughly $9,700 worth of damage to my car, and Progressive would not even cover 1/2 of that amount. I specifically told the service tech i was working with to NOT do any repairs as i was still trying to work things out with insurance. A few weeks later i receive a voicemail from Wilsonville Subaru telling me my car was ready to be picked up and the repairs had been completed. To be clear, i did NOT give authorization to work on my car, nor did i sign anything at any point to authorize working on my car. I dealt with the old service manager, and the new service manager and at no point did anyone at Wilsonville Subaru apologize for their error, so my car sat there because i did not have the money to get it out. I drive for Lyft as my main job, but since my car was being held hostage, i could not work unless i rented a car from Lyft. $288.00 a week for 10 months. That is roughly $11,520 to rent a car to make money for Lyft. i Also had to continue to make monthly car payments for a car i didn't have possession of. That is roughly $6,495. In total, that is over $18,000 and that is not counting the monthly insurance for a car i didn't have. I received continuous phone calls asking when i was paying off my car and picking it up. Also, during this time i was contacted by a guy who said he worked for a 3rd party winshield company, but was "technically" working for Subaru. He contacted me to tell me he noticed a chip in my winshield and he could fix it for $70.00 or we could go through insurance, but he would need to receive payment before he could start working on it and requested me to send him a screenshot of the front and back of my debit card. That sounded sketchy to me, so i did not do it. A half our later or so, he texts me a photo of my fixed winshield and starts blowing up my phone with texts and calls demanding payment. So first Subaru did work without my authorization, and then the 3rd party winshield guy did the same thing. I finally decided to stop contacting the service department and contacted the General Manager of the Dealership, basically explaining everything that had happened. I stated in the email that i had exhausted all my options and did not know what to do and said "What do you suggest i do at this point? I really need some answers and some resolution". His response was "I suggest you come in and pick up your vehicle". Still no apology for a 10 month incovenience due to no fault of mine. When i go to pick up my car, it was sitting in the parking lot with the engine running, the hood open, and the keys left inside. (i found out from another guy it had been running for 2 hours) . Why? because the lights on my car had been left on and the battery was completely dead. They did not tell me this, i had to piece it together on my own. Today, i look at the inside of my car, and the seats, floor, seatbelt and dash is covered in mold and pollen. So now, after 10 months of this, i have to buy a new battery and get my car detailed. They do not practice what they preach with their own mission statement with everyone...... "Pursuing our Goal of "Delivering Happiness to All" The Subaru Group, by no means a large automaker, concentrates its limited management resources in pursuit of the value it provides to its customers, which is "Enjoyment and Peace of Mind." The customers who support us value Subaru vehicles like lifestyle partners." Since nobody there is willing to make things right, i now have to explore other avenues of satisfaction. They did a touch up for small scratches on the rear bumper of 2024 Subaru I bought there 3 months ago. Charged me $175 but did not even buff scratches. Just painted over the few scratches. Even though dark silver is extremely common here I was told they "had to mix the paint." You mean they don't already have a touch up paint for my car that's very popular in color?? Shout out to Wilsonville Subaru for their honesty. My Forester Owners Manual says to change the fuel filter at 72,000. It's a big job because it's located in the fuel tank. The Service Rep said that they don't recommend doing it unless you need a fuel pump or are having performance issues because of the cost involved. As soon as I started looking for cars on TrueCar, Wilsonville Subaru immediately called me, texted me, and emailed me. I did not answer, as I was just looking at their inventory. Wilsonville Subaru proceeded to call and text me again, and again, and again, and I never answered. My initial visit to TrueCar was 3 months ago now. But there is something about Wilsonville Subaru that kept us coming back to them when it was time to seal the deal. We've browsed before - twice actually. But we were not ready then. The third time we were there, the stars aligned ... in the form of Mac Kizer. He was super laidback, cheerful and courteous. Patient and honest and upfront. I was really impressed that he actually LISTENED to what I had to say. At one point, when I was torn between 2 trims, he listed down the things I had said earlier and helped me make an informed decision! Over our mutual love for comfortable boots (we happened to wear the same pair!) and the fact that we clicked, working with Mac was the best experience for me, as a first-time car owner. Even my husband felt that Mac made him comfortable (to the point that he was ready to change his mind about car salesmen!). Mac never pushed us towards a model or trim that we did not want. He wanted us to have the car that we need. He truly listened. Imagine our surprise when he said he's really new at this job! (Say whattt?!) Bought my car here a few years ago and that went OK. But have been into the parts / service center multiple times as this is the closest dealer to my home. The guys are slow to respond, even coming to the counter and don't seem very knowledgeable at times. I spoke with a 'service guy' and asked about how they confirm correct fluid level in the CVT (I know the process). He had no idea what he was talking about and I decided immediately to go elsewhere. I now go to Carr for everything as I feel that dealership has it together a bit more. Too many kids working here with too little knowledge and poor work ethic. They also wanted to charge me $3,500 for an extended warranty claiming Subaru sets the price and they can't negotiate. Hmmmm... really? Bought a certified 2021 Subaru Ascent, the buying process was a fine process. One the second day we noticed the AC didn't work so we took it in and they said the AC condenser was bad; at first they were going to bill us for the repair but ultimately the service manager did it under warranty since we bought it the following day. A week later we drove down to Southern California for vacation on the way back we felt a vibration took it to Salem Subaru where they said there was metal belts showing on the tires. At first was told they were wearable items and nothing could be done. After contacting SOA there was new tires put on the car with the word of Holly that they would redo the certified check list, at pick up I was told the car wasn't looked over and they do that. August of 2023 my wife and son were ran off the road and the Subaru did its job by keeping them alive after rolling twice. We then started the cancellation process of the extended warranty and gap coverage a couple weeks later. As anticipated the warranty refund came back within 4-6 weeks but the gap insurance didn't. I ended up reaching out and on November 4th I was asked to sign a gap cancellation by Joseph Nibler which I did. Over the phone I was told "4-6 weeks for the check". Nov. 28 2022 I reached out for a follow up because I had still not got the check seven days passed with no response from Joseph so I reached out to the gap insurance company myself which then I was told that they had just received the paperwork on December 3rd and they returned the paperwork same day. I think got another email after reaching out to a supervisor from Joseph that said 4 to 8 weeks for the check. So the paperwork was not submitted to the gap refund company for about a month after I signed it. I emailed the sales manager, I have emailed both general managers and have gotten nothing in return. I recommend a dealership that values customer service and communication and this dealership doesn't meet that recommendation. read more

Here we are now December 27th and title is STILL in Texas under a different owner. Meanwhile, our stolen car sits in the salvage yard and State Farm won't pay us for the loss until we have title. read more

For the service department: I had a part installed, and it was done improperly. I went in 3 times to have the part adjusted and was told it was fine. Later on the part snapped and damaged my car. They tried saying I had removed the part, which I would have no clue how to, nor would I on my own. That defeats the point of having a part installed at a dealership. I've tried numerous times to reach a service manager and have never gotten a response. Super disappointing as this is my first SUBARU, and it hasn't been a great experience. read more
