We really hate to leave this TERRIBLE REVIEW' but they left us no choice. We took our car to Christian Brothers to get estimate and have shocks replaced on 2007 BMW 328 $2976. Absolutely NOTHING major was wrong with the car except the shocks. Their own estimate never mentioned anything else we needed. We drove it daily, But after they installed the shocks we picked up car and started to drive home, thats when shaking and vibrations started around 10 minutes after driving. We IMMEDIATELY returned the car and ask Jason to drive for himself, he did, AND AGREED he felt the shaking and vibration also. We were SHOCKED they would return our car to us in that condition! When Jason drove the car He stated it sounded like the transmission,,,,,, We were shocked!!! there was absolutely no signs whatsoever of a transmission problem when we bought it in,,and We had already received 2nprior written estimates for shocks that never mentioned the car had any transmission problems!. It was only AFTER the installation of the shocks that this vibration issue came about. They had to drive the car after installing the shocks to test but they never mentioned the shaking and vibrations. They let us pick the car up and never disclosed anything. According to the mileage they drove the car 6 miles while in their possession, They had to know that something was not right after installing the shocks. We had to bring the car back (after picking up) 3 times for them to check again with no resolution. They denied everything and suggested we take it somewhere else,,,,,,They closed at 6 pm left us in their parking lot alone with our damaged car waiting 2 hours for AAA and We ended up having the CAR TOWED back to our home fearing it would stop. They've paid you for several repairs before this happened, and in response to your reply, my issue is not with the Warrenty company it's with this new leadership Christian brothers are under the new service manager Jason (was rude to me and very rude to my warranty company). First, you told me it was the hose. Then after you so called fixed the hose it still wasn't working then you said oh it's the relay switch, you so call fixed the relay switch and got paid over 1500 from my warranty company plus another 700 out of pocket from me and told me it's all fixed and ready. I picked it up right before you closed, and still no AC! I brought it back at 7 am. that the next morning, now you tell me it's the air compressor, and it will cost me another 1000 oyt of pocket ridiculous. That's my issue. Now you say we gave you an option to finance. That's a lie, you say you gave me every option thats a lie. You told me you'd need another 1000 out of pocket. RIDICULOUS. You yelled at me on the phone, and then when i asked why are you yelling you said you were from New York and talk loudly. that's a lie you were yelling. You can say it was working when you finished all you want, but that's a lie. It never worked after I picked it up, and still, at this moment, I DO NOT HAVE AC. Paid over 2057.00. Replaced front and back breaks, wheel bearings. Battery, power steering pump,degrease oil pan, performed break and power steering flush. I left shop and my car and was vibrating loud and sounding like it was gonna shut off. I had battery replaced with them even though Honda just did diagnostic test and didn't find that issue. They claimed they changed the wheel bearing but the sounds is similar to a bad one. My gas cap light was on, car shakes, ticking and vibrating at pick up. Drive back in less than 10 minutes and told me sound was muffler. Never had issue with muffler and only serviced at Honda. Bringing to Honda in the Am. I don't feel these people are honest at all. I'll update with Honda's findings as i just paid them for a diagnostic test before I brought to this place. I also recorded car sound and convo. I paid for everything that was suggested. The steering wheel is still hard to turn on the left, car vibrates loud in the left and feels like it's gonna shut off and that was when I pulled off their lot which promoted me to come right back. I was told it's exhaust which is original and Carey Paul Honda can confirm cause car got diagnostic on file right before car was brought to Christian Boy Automotive. read more

I cannot say enough about this business, Kevin (owner), Todd (manager), mechanics and the shuttle service staff! I will share that I've had my 16 year old car serviced at Jaguar dealerships in two different states over the years and honestly the treatment I received from this garage was unexpected and surpassed service I've received elsewhere. My initial inquiry was via a Yelp inquiry. They responded the same day! Wow! My headlights needed changing. As a courtesy to their regular clients they do it for free! If they charge for new customers like me it's only 5.00 per light (good price). I left my car and was shuttled home then picked up when my car was ready. Unfortunately, for me the last person who worked on my lights ruined the wiring and entire headlight assembly that's why the lights wouldn't work and Husband and I saw melted connectors . They charged me nothing. Ordering parts then complete the repair Bottom line: I found this facility to be impeccably clean, owner, manager and staff courteous, knowledgeable and honest. We have additional work to do on this car and our others. We'll be back. I highly recommend Christian Brothers Auto Repair!!! Updated Review: I stand by my original review with the exception of price. I have received several quotes from them since my first visit .... They were a little pricey compared to other quality shops I researched (reviews, ratings and visited) nearby. Christian Bros prices were close to double on some services :{{{. Took my 2016 Chevrolet Traverse in to get the purge valve (Common issue for that year and model) replaced and an emissions test done. Upsold me a comprehensive inspection even though I was aware of what the problem was but it never really hurts to be safe you know? The inspection package is actually quite nice as they go over everything under the hood and take pictures of the stuff that they need to repair or replace so you see what needs to be done. They quote you and confirm what all you want done before you pull the trigger on the bill too. Very good value really, just not in this situation as I only needed the purge valve, so I recommend it especially if your vehicle is more than a few years old. Anyway, it wound up raining like a monsoon and close to the end of their workday when they got done so they had to drop the emissions test because the purge valve would throw off the emissions results until it was driven on for a bit. Week passes and we don't have time during the week to swing back by for the emissions test so we go for some place up the road from them that's open on the weekend. Failed twice after putting 70+ pedal heavy miles on the new purge valve. Naturally a bit wary we bring it back to Christian Brothers the following week with a receipt for the purge valve. Passed first try. No charge for the emissions test even though they weren't the ones who ran the initial failed tests. That's how you instill confidence in your mechanic shop folks. These people stand by their work and they define honesty. I will never use another mechanic in the area, and my friends and family will never use another mechanic in the area. We have three Chevys at the house and they will only be brought here exclusively. read more

We have taken our daughter's car here for repairs and just had a great experience working with them. Our situation involved the warranty department at CarMax, we have not had the same positive experience with CarMax warranty, but Grayson absolutely did their part in communicating with the warranty department. When we realized we overpaid our bill they were very prompt at correcting the error and gave a follow up call as promised. I have had too many instances where I would schedule an appointment and they would never place me on the schedule. So when I call in before arriving to have my car received, they always say they do not see me on the schedule. I had such a great experience with CBA in Grayson! My car broke down and they suggested a towing company that wasn't super expensive that got my car to their shop on Monday night. Tuesday morning they called me and we were able to discuss everything that was wrong with the car, an hour later I had a whole list of things that needed to be fixed that I was able to approve or decline what they would work on that day, on a website they had texted me. This made it so incredibly convenient because I was at work and did not have time to be on the phone. After approving what needed to be done, I was able to pick up my car Tuesday night even though it had only been in the shop a day. I brought my Honda suv in for an oil change. I told them I wanted synthetic oil which they charged me $80. After 2000 miles my car said I was down to 10% & needed an oil change. Synthetic oil is suppose to last longer than that. I wasted my money going to Christian brothers. I was truly disappointed that they would lie & rip me off. I took my car back to the Honda dealer they change the oil and replaced it with synthetic oil. My car is currently at 3050 miles & it's only at 50% for the oil change. I had my first encounter with CBA recently and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. When it comes to auto repair my expectations are quite low. I always have had our cars serviced at the dealer, but always left feeling like I got taken. Our 2014 Mustang was blowing warm air and I cringed at going to the dealer. Enter CBA, made an appointment online, dropped off car and asked for a shuttle ride home. I was told "our shuttle driver is on vacation." Ok, hear it comes my first letdown. But no, the service manager said "but we will arrange a Lyft ride at our expense." Soon after arriving home I received a text that they're working on our car. A few hours later they were done. Only needed a charge. I opted in on the free inspection, so I thought ok here it comes, they'll find everything in the world wrong with the car. Well next surprise every inspection point was green. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I brought my vehicle in for an inspection because my engine light was on and was giving a misfire code. I told Todd that I had brought in my vehicle to a different shop over a year ago due to the same problem, but they couldn't figure out what it was and ended up changing all of my spark plugs and turning the engine light off. A day later the light came back on. I told Todd that somebody told me the problem was likely a crack or seal problem in the rear manifold or cylinder or something which is causing lower pressure and a misfire. Todd said no problem, they'll take care of it and get me an answer. After 2 days in the shop, I was called and emailed what the problem was and reminded how much work over and above the $120 inspection price Christian Brothers did. The estimate I received was for over $4500 and I said I wouldn't be able to pay that right now and I would have to figure something out. This was a Friday and I was told I could come pick up my vehicle at anytime now. I came and got my vehicle around 5pm and again was reminded how much work they did above and beyond what they were supposed to do for that price, I said I appreciate it but that I could not put $4500 into the vehicle at this time and I'm glad they were able to find the problem. Dave (I think that's his name) told me about how him and Todd have over 40 years in the business and they know what they're doing. When I left Christian Brothers I went and picked up my wife and kids and went to the store. Upon getting back to my house my wife told me that she smelled smoke and something was wrong. I lifted up the hood of the van and smoke just billowed out. I tried to see what the problem was but just noticed oil all over the place and a puddle of oil forming on my driveway. I immediately called Christian Brothers, but it was 7 pm at this time and they were gone. I texted the number they had been using to communicate updates to me, and I also emailed them because I needed my vehicle fixed. Christian Brothers is not open on the weekend and this was Easter weekend, so it appears as though they were especially not keen on communicating with customers this weekend. I have a friend that knows the owner, Kevin Cronic, and said he's a good guy, but I emailed Kevin twice and I received no response from him either time. After the weekend I received a call from Todd first thing Monday morning and Christian Brothers sent a tow truck to pick up my van. They figured out what happened and my vehicle was ready for pick up by the afternoon. When I came and got it, I was told that the mechanic failed to tighten a bolt on the cylinder and that was the reason for the leak. Again, Todd told me how much work above and beyond the $120 price tag they put into my van, like it was okay I didn't have my vehicle for 5 days or that that somehow justified the engine smoke, oil spill, and overall safety risk that put my family through. To top it all off, Christian Brothers sends updates through text and tells you how many urgent, recommended, and good items you have that requires attention. On Friday the text message said I had 4 items that they "Recommend Attention" to and 12 "Good Items." Well, on Monday, Christian Brothers went back into their system and retroactively dated their updates to reflect that what they sent me on Friday read 15 "Good Items" and 1 "Requires Urgent Attention!" How in the hell can I have 4 items that require attention and no urgent matters and then after I hound them they change it to now everything is good except an oil leak "they" found? Sounds a little fraudulent to me or like they're trying to cover their asses..... And I still haven't heard from the owner. read more

The people are nothing more than rip off artist. Charge me $180 for a diagnostic and said the fee has to be paid whether theY do the repairs or not. I have never seen a repair shop charge a diagnostic fee in addition to the repair cost. I gave them the $180 and got my repairs done elsewhere for less than half their quote. I stopped in last Thursday to ask for an estimate to replace the timing belt and water pump on my 2005 Solara since it has 96k+ miles on it. Found the estimate to be fair and reasonable for the work to be done. (I had researched pricing via the internet prior.) The service manager suggested I call and 'schedule' the work since it would take 'about 5 or 6 hours.' Scheduled the work for Tuesday and dropped the car off Monday evening so they could get right on it Tuesday morning. Said they would 'call if they ran into any issues or when it was ready.' All day Tuesday - no call. I called at 4:30 Tuesday. Said it would be tomorrow (Wed.) morning before it was done. No call received by 3pm on Wed. so I 'stopped in' to see when it might be ready. Car had been finished for several hours and was sitting in the lot. No explanation for not calling. Paid the bill and got the keys to pick up later. While driving the car home (after CBA was closed) noticed A/C which worked fine before was inoperative. Fan came on, but no compressor. Back to CBA first thing Thurs. morning prepared for battle based on previous experiences with other repair shops and dealerships, BUT . . . not the case with Christian Brothers! They were sincerely apologetic, took the car into the shop immediately to diagnose the A/C issue, fixed the A/C (a 'loose ground wire') in about an hour, and offered me a discount on a future service to compensate for the inconvenience of having to bring the car back! I politely declined the offer since they had already gone above and beyond what was necessary to make me a satisfied customer in this instance. Bottom line: Mistakes happen in every type of business (as long as humans are involved) but business people who OWN their mistakes and make them right will survive the long haul. Christian Brothers Automotive, though not perfect, has integrity. I will give them my future business because they did the right thing in my case. By the way, their shop, waiting area, and restroom is spotlessly clean compared to most others. There is NO stench of stale cigarettes, NO profanity, and no offensive music blaring. The first two times I came into this location for an oil change were pleasant and easy.. especially on my pocketbook. However, this week I was thoroughly disappointed with CBA. I called for an appointment about 3 times this week but received no response or reply for the voicemail that I left. I was in the area yesterday and popped in to see if they'd take me. I was informed by the gentleman that they were booked and asked if he could set an appointment for today. We agreed on today at 4:30. He was looking right at the computer and moving the mouse around as if he had it in the system. After I walked out, I received a call and voicemail from them(can't remember the name) finally returning my call. I didn't call back well because, I literally just got it sorted out.....or so I thought. I returned for my appointment today and spoke with the same gentleman as yesterday but to my disappointment he said "he didn't write it down" and that they couldn't fit me in until Monday. At this point I was so unhappy with the fact that I did everything, INCLUDING showing my face to set an appointment and I still was not fit into their very busy schedule. Very unfortunate. I went down the street to the Grayson Tire and Auto where they fit me in right away. I hope CBA does better. read more
